RomanceRe: What’s Your Market Value? by jkpretty(f): 2:29pm On Apr 01, 2008
Truth is many people simply can't define themselves. They don't know who they are.

To Some, life situations has subjected them to taking decisions which they are not happy with. Some have actually made themselves valueless by their own hands.

My Market Value?
My olo will answer that grin

Now that is what I am talking about! Older dudes may have some personality problems too but. . . prefer them any day. They make better kissers who have learned to keep their saliva in their mouths! They have rhythmic, systematic, suave and purposeful and more calculating movements. cool With younger dudes. . .the level of maturity is always questionable at one point or the other. . .they get overly excited and you are constantly guiding them as to "where to go or put things"! wink

Noooooo, not there. . .here. Not like this, but like that. Please move up a little! cheesy

RomanceRe: Why Does Love Hurt So Bad? by jkpretty(f): 2:09pm On Apr 01, 2008
U can't be too careful. Nobody is perfect. We still get on each other's nerve without knowing. U are two different people trying to adjust to suit eachother so their will always be times u hurt each other. Hurt is inevitable in relationships, But the gravity is hurt differs.

Love: short as four letters, yet has been so destructive to many souls mostly because those they love don't love back. Love, that Makes the mighty fall, confused & wail like a baby.

If it doesn't hurt, then its not love.

ain't karma a bitch cheesy
Nah! Karma might not be bitching this time. And i don't think this is a paranoia case. The aura around some people is just questionable at times. They simply can't be trusted.

@Poster did this feeling just start or it has always been there.
If it just started & u've not caught her in some conflicting situations then u cld be paranoid.
But if u've always had this feeling since u met her then it simply explains their's actually something odd about her.

@jkpretty/topic,

i think why we feel so hurt is because we do not expect them to act that bad. if i were to be dating a bad guy, i would have known he is bad; nothing he does would move me. the best thing is a relationship is to let YOUR GUY/DAMSEL KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE. PRETENSE RUINS FASTER THAN ANYTHING. this is who i am, if you want to stay, welcome to my world, if you want to run, let me borrow you Ben Johnson's boot wink. na so life be.
U are right there!.

putting someone on a pedestal can make lead to disappointment. Just have to understand that people usually fall and its up to them to decide if they pick themselves up or keep falling.

That's another good one.

Thanks to all that have contributed meaningfully to this topic. I appreciate ur honest replies.
RomanceRe: Double Standards From Men by jkpretty(f): 9:59am On Apr 01, 2008
Big lie; selfish people abounds everywhere including your hometown.
Are we talking about selfishness now. I only said something typical about the men from the place u are from (Ilesha). And its a well known fact. Well, agreed selfishness is popular but more ascribed to a particular tribe in Nigeria which i'm far from.

I would say any man who wants to remain fat shld remain fat, Many of them come & filter the ladies only to select the slim ones in correct shape. Altho i wonder the kind of ladies that would actually prefer such bulky men, if not because they are after some other things. The most ridiculous reason is to become chief Mrs. LMAO (really wonder why chiefs are usually fat). Its not evidence of good living abeg. tongue. Remain fat please, but try look for your match.

I'm sure we all have a choice to pick, who ever picks a bulky man wants it that way. I have filtered & i've chosen what's best for me. At least i have a choice to pick from the several. cool

RomanceRe: Thank u all by jkpretty(f): 4:24pm On Mar 31, 2008
People hate hearing the truth. They would rather listen to lies. I'll rather listen to the truth u have to tell me than find out elsewhere. Over time i've learned to appreciate the truth as it comes. Then i'm left with the choice to make.

@ Poster i appreciate ur gesture in confessing it was good enough (altho not quite impressed by what u did). If he's not urs u'll find ur man soon. And i'll advise u to stop calling, let him know ur worth.
CelebritiesRe: Is Genevieve Nnaji Eating Less Or Vomiting More by jkpretty(f): 3:42pm On Mar 31, 2008
Whether she's ill, sick, stooling or vomitting its certainly not my business. She's in her business to look good to her taste and not anybody's.

I'm not fighting for her at all, she aint my fan. She's got to do what she has to do to make her fit for her profession. Kapish!

HealthRe: Doctors Only: by jkpretty(f): 1:30pm On Mar 31, 2008
I really do not blame the doctors who are changing to other profession or flying out of the country. The reason being that, a graduate of a ridiculous course studied in the university will get a good paying job in the bank & oil companies while a doctor having toiled the whole 7 plus Bleep years comes out, searching for job endlessly. It will only be by God's mercies that they find a job and even if they do. Its ends up being a so meager salary. That is not motivating enough.

Its only a doctor with a good mind to practice & help the nation that will sit back with the hope to achieve his/her aim. But truthfully this people are very few.

Its actually really sad when we see the rate at which most young peeps are hell bent on making money after graduating. That is normal tho to fight to excel, but most ridiculous when we see doctors as bankers. I couldn'tt help but shake my head when i saw medical doctors in banks.

I think the only thing that would have chased them out of their profession is insufficient paychecks. Hence, It will do the government good to do somethings about increasing their allowances.

P.S i'm not a Doctor oh, but speaking for a Doctor.

Errhhh the whole good guy/bad guy thing is too separated for most people
I see them as good guy - reserved; bad guy - adventurous undecided. Can be one person but different sides.
A person has good or bad in him/her but actions direct the journey path.

BTW the 'innocent' looking ones are usually the dangerous ones grin grin
I agree with u on that one, everybody definately has good & bad sides but some have manged to supress their bad sides so the good part can take over. This prolly shows that the bad sides still manages to stick out. huh?

And yes correct, the innocent faces are usually very dangerous. i don't gawk any innocent look, i scrutinize wella grin

RomanceRe: Would You End A Beautiful Relationship Over Religious Differences? by jkpretty(f): 4:45pm On Mar 28, 2008
I'lld rather not start. It's better not to start what u foresee can't be finished.

But if i stubbornly started the relationship, ignoring the odds & we have something wonderful going for us except for religious boundaries. Wel then, it has to be finished.
CrimeRe: Disgrace from Nigeria by jkpretty(f): 1:26pm On Mar 28, 2008
Sooo stupid of many of u people that can stand & say there is nothing good about Nigeria. Now, many of u may put off Nigeria location on your profiles but i believe that many of u running your mouths here that there's nothing good about Nigeria are siting your butt here in Nigeria right now.

What have u done to make Nigeria better? Or what do u think Nigeria comprises of? Is it only the government alone to blame for your misfortune? Or Is it only the people at the helm of affairs alone. What about u monkey faced hypocrites. What have u done, for the betterment of your fatherland? Do u think u are not a contributing factor to the ill name u are giving Nigeria? Did u try to get something positive done? Or what did u do before u ran to another man's land? What did u do before disowning your roots? Have u ever thought of one thing to do to make Nigeria proud? Have u thought about things to do for the betterment of the nation?

If Nigeria has nothing good to offer to u, i suppose where u got to before u ran to another man's land doesn't still speak of a good thing. Why would u think of a good thing Nigeria has done when u are lazy, why would u think of what Nigeria has done when all u think of is to take and never give. Why won't u think Nigeria has no good thing when u expect manner to fall from heaven like the days of old. Open your big eyes, even if manner fell then, it fell on those that deserved it. Put your hands at work and make do with something out of your life instead of blaming the Country for your Unrepairable misfortune.

So u run to another country for salvation, & run your silly tongues on your country. Hmmn Funny!. Now those of u in other countries & still saying Nigeria hasn't done a good thing. Now i assume the country u are in welcomes u with open arms abi and readily accepted u to be part of them. . . if i asked u what those country has done, u'll come saying "comfort at large" . . . You WISH! ROFLMFPAO! I won't even go there because that's another story entirely.

hisses. . . . . . . . . . . .& leaves thread! shame!!!!!!!!!!

Re: When Good Guys Hurt You, The Pain Is So Deep. Why?

The keyword here is TRUST.

It is the determinant to a good relationship or a heartache. You already think a good guy is trust reliable, but it is not always so. On the other hand, you already know a bad guy is bad no need to trust him and when he messes it up, you are free from heartache.
True!
RomanceRe: When Good Guys Hurt U, The Pain Is So Deep. Why? by jkpretty(op): 10:01am On Mar 28, 2008
hmmn! Now its trust. Yes i believe trust has a key role to play here. The amount of trust we place on people determine the heart break. True. Yet we can't help but still give a little trust.

Sorry that is a natural thing that u have to live with for the rest of ur life. Better stay without ur glasses & let people get used to u that way than . . . i see that more as a thing of inferiority complex.

Insecurities are some certain positions life has subjected u to. Which is based prolly by ur own making. And so its something that needs working on, to make a change & hoping for the best.

RomanceRe: Unfaithful Supposed Husband by jkpretty(f): 9:22am On Mar 28, 2008
What isn't ur business remains not ur business. Wouldn't u be surprised knowing that ur friend already knows about her hubby's other lady.

People usually sense/know it when they are being cheated, they only have an option of either staying in it & working it out or moving out.
RomanceRe: When Good Guys Hurt U, The Pain Is So Deep. Why? by jkpretty(op): 9:16am On Mar 28, 2008
Is it now a thing of emotion? No! i don't believe it is. Whether u like it or not expectations differ from human to human. Because the % of trust u give to each person is different. That's why we get disappointed.
