In my own Opinion, whoever does not give does not love or prolly stingy, we are not asking that u pour all the cash on her, She needs not ask before u give neither should she be in a point of need before u act. Giving to somebody u love is on impulse, You just find yourself doing it. I don't see it as assistance too. I see it more like a thing of commitment. Now that many guys are aware that their body could cause some 'tummy churning' this is an advice. My friends abroad usually just prefer the Nigerian wedding thingy. From their talks sounds like weddings over there are not usually preferable and i think that no matter how its packaged it won't still have the Nigerian feel.

More so wedding is almost loosing its value abroad now that divorce is more celebrated than weddings
