How else did he expect the lawyer to "put it to him"?? That part cracked my ribs! |
simonlee:Obaseki will not lose anything!!! Edo state is not like Lagos where one man decides what happens. Besides, rigging aside, APC has no much ground in Edo state. If APC decides to use Oshiomole's influence at national level to deny Obaseki their guber ticket, then they should bid farewell to Edo state because Obaseki will simply decamp to PDP and he'll definitely win Edo under PDP! |
frenzyduchess:Exactly! And Buhari is making things worse |
frenzyduchess:I blame Buhari for that |
Ekpeitit:To hell with you and your juicy appointment! In fact, I'm even disappointed with Ohanaeze ndigbo and all the other Igbo groups who have been going about "begging" Buhari and APC for appointments! For crying out loud, let's ignore APC and Buhari and whatever they stand for! We must not partake in every government! Oshiomole that I know is a pathological hater of Igbo people and he'll do every thing to ensure that nothing comes to Igbos from APC. Not even our votes would change their plan to marginalise us! So, the best thing is to call their bluffs! Even if they decide to cut our monthly allocations, let's activate our international connections and IGRs to survive! By 2023 we'll still vote massively against APC and damn whatever the outcome would be. That's how to play opposition politics, not by being coerced with threats of marginalization! |
OGHENAOGIE:That's the problem with Nigerians! Those who supported Buhari's imposition of national assembly leadership are the ones now crying foul because they were outsmarted by the Bauchi and Edo state governments! When the game favours them, then it is OK but when it doesn't they start talking about morality and international best practices! |
Very well said sir! Obasanjo once said it and he was criticized by uninformed Nigerians! You can't keep churning out graduates of irrelevant courses that can't solve our problems. Instead of producing many graduates of courses that can't find their bearing in the labour market, why not direct those resources into technical and vocational education Produce fewer graduates of the "jumpologies" strictly for researches in those fields. The current system breeds envy and hatred by some graduates against others. Let's change please! |
Amanismone:All evidence on ground point to the fact that Muslims in the north currently outnumber Christians and their population growth rate keeps increasing. If you've been to the north you'll notice that they have large land mass. Some States in the north are twice or thrice the size of one state in the southeast. In fact, kano will be like the size of Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi put together. Also, Islamic religion permits early marriage, polygamy and having multiple children! All these are pointers to the fact that they are more populated. Unlike the south(especially southeast) where people don't get married on time and even when they eventually get married they start struggling with conception and at the end they end up having just a few (2 or 3) children. |
DrObum:I know that many didn't support him, but I have evidence of some that supported him! |
DrObum:You obviously did not follow the activities of the Adewole administration as minister of health. The man wanted to introduce what he termed tier classification of patent medicine dealers. He had about 3 categories of people he wanted to issue license to operate patent medicine stores. These included; healthcare professionals who are not pharmacists, graduate of any course who wanted to open a drug store and then primary school certificate holders who also wanted to open a drug business! That was the reasoning of a minister who should know better the implication of such system on our healthcare system. Where else in the world is it done He made that proposal despite the fact that we now have more pharmacy schools producing pharmacists! A reasonable minister of health in Nigeria of today should be advocating for closure of all drug stores that are not pharmacies! Why I'm relating Adewole's action with the topic is because he made that proposal in order to spite pharmacists and I'm sure he had the support of some NMA members (except the smart few who understands the negative impact such would have on medical practice), so he and those who supported him should not complain about quack doctors operating in Nigeria since they didn't see anything wrong in quacks operating drug stores! Meanwhile, I don't support quackery in any field and if I ever have my way at the helm of affairs in this country, I'll make sure I sanitize the system. |
Abkreizi:"Let the man be joor"! There are many others like him operating in different parts of the country as " chemists ", doing abortions and all manner of unhealthy practices, but the ministry of health headed by medical doctors think they should be allowed to operate unchecked! So, I wonder why they're now complaining! |
9jaRealist:The immediate past minister of health wanted to make it everybody's business! |
He performed successful surgeries after all, so why arrest him If medical doctors think it is okay to allow every quack to dispense drugs in the name of patent medicine dealership, then they should not worry when those patent medicine guys and hospital ward attendants also start practicing medicine and surgery and carrying out D&Cs and other operations.Nigerian medical doctors think that the pharmacists are the only ones that are affected when selling drugs become a business anybody can do despite the dangers in that. They don't know that such system would affect even the medical doctors more! The immediate past minister of health was busy pushing for such with the intention of killing the pharmacy profession. The fool didn't know that allowing everybody to start selling drugs like he suggested would affect medical doctors more than even pharmacists. That was the caliber of person we appointed as minister of health. Going by Adewole's and some other Nigerian insecure doctors' opinions, I think this man should be freed and even given a license to continue in his practice since he can perform surgeries successfully What goes around comes around! |

desvi:Sure, it is. |
Education remains one of the surest ways to be successful in life, especially if you're studying a good course with clearly cut career path. People should learn to choose the right courses and not just study any "jumpology" only to come out and join the "school na scam" gang. I know how education has helped my family! Only a few people make it on the streets without education, so don't let anybody deceive you! @op, thank your stars you were able to gain admission again into medlab. By the time you graduate you can decide to go into private practice if you like being your own boss. |
Me that like feeding my girl like a baby, I'll even be happy seeing her consume those meat from my plates. There's a special kind of satisfaction that comes from seeing my girl feed well, especially from same plates with me! |
There are a lot of words and phrases which Nigerians Use wrongly and these include the words; "kid brother" and "kid sister". Please stop referring to your YOUNGER SISTER or YOUNGER BROTHER as " kid sister " or "kid brother" if they're no longer kids or if you're just a few years older than them. I have heard many people use such terms to refer to siblings whom they're just a few years older than and I think it's only proper if we put things in the right perspective. Your "kid sister" or "kid brother" is a sibling born when you're already grown into adulthood or adolescence at worst, not just any sibling who's younger than you. Please take note. |
Badt guy! Serves her right!!! In fact, she should look for sniper and do the needful instead of living with the shame of this singular act |
And the drug doesn't have a name Tell us the name so we can deduce the possible cause of the reaction! This is what happens when some hospitals fail to employ clinical pharmacists to work with! Pharmacists are the only drug experts who can provide answers to most of the actions of drugs. |
Standing on a high horse of morality and religion is not really attractive to a modern guyman... Btw, ebira people are too aggressive for my liking |
Where is the autopsy report that suggested she died as a result of fake drug ![]() Nigerians that like playing ping-pong with their lives! Everybody likes to form "doctor" and in the process they kill themselves and start blaming fake drugs. Who even diagnosed her of malaria I'm sure she never saw a medical doctor before rushing to the nearest "chemist" to buy drugs. We need to change the face of healthcare in this country! That is the task the next minister of health should focus on, not some petty vendetta against other healthcare professionals that the immediate past minister was known for. He/she(incoming minister) should initiate an awareness campaign on how people should go about seeking medical care when they fall sick. This is in addition to ensuring that health insurance cover is made available to all and sundry. People should be educated that the first port of call when they fall sick is the hospital or clinic to see a physician, and then afterwards they can take their prescriptions to a pharmacy to see a pharmacist. That is how it is done in the developed world and it won't be a taboo if such is replicated here! Let's borrow ourselves brains in this country and stop behaving like cavemen! RIP to the dead lady |
But why do some men stoop so low!!! If he wasn't getting the satisfaction he wanted from his wife, why not get a girl outside the university ![]() In this time and age, only a lecturer whose village elders have tabled his matter would go this low after so much efforts to attend such height. What a shame! |
Greatzeus:Continue in your bigotry and don't ever learn how to make the right judgments in life. Let's see where it leads you! I won't join issue with you any further on this subject |
lefulefu:I tell you! |
KevinDein:Honestly, the thing hurts them so hard! You'll start seeing silly and unreasonable reasons why it is not right to marry a younger lady! |
This lady is truly pretty! I like her especially when she speaks Igbo in a movie Ebony ladies are damn sexy mehn! |
NaMeAboki:Many people claim to come from where they've never even visited before on this forum. Some do it to divert attention from where they really hail from in order to further hide their identity. Even me bro, you can never be sure that I'm from Enugu. That you saw it in my post does not make it correct. Never rely on what you read on a faceless forum to make judgment! |
NaMeAboki:How did you know that those making such posts and threads are Igbos So, every post here against Hausas are from Igbos? Are you are that there are some people on this forum whose stocks in thread is to pitch the different tribes (especially the 3 major ones) against one another? Hence, they pretend to be Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa to make posts that would instigate hatred among the three tribes?? |

Be surprised by what?? I also want to be surprised! |
MartinCorridon:Tell your father to keep quiet! Ode! |
wifeesnatcher:On several occasions this forum has been inundated with news of Yoruba men, Hausa men, men from other tribes who battered their wives or girlfriends, and guess what many of us did; we condemned the act without recourse to the perpetrator's tribes. Now, just a few instances you cited that happened in igboland, it has now become a tribal issue! You better change from your bigotry and hatred for Igbos because hatred will only lead you to your doom! A word is enough for the wise |
