Education › Re: Boy Commits Suicide After Failing Jamb PICS by Jman06(m): 5:15pm On May 16, 2019 |
LadyEsther: When some of us write posts encouraging one another to hold on, in this struggles of life, a certain group of people believes that those who write motivational posts are jobless people who are not ready to work but choose to encourage themselves with motivational posts.
It's so sad to see that some people commit suicide thinking it's the solution to their problems. Let me tell you what those that kill themselves believe in before carrying out the act. They believe that when they kill themselves, then they don't have to suffer any longer. But is that truly the case? People are going through tough times. There's no money, no job, not even true love. When someone works so hard to succeed and things are not working for him, he's not expected to be happy. This sadness if not handled can be dangerous; the victims begin to consider suicide as an option. You can never understand the pains of this set of individuals until you find yourself in their shoes. So, try as much as you can not to judge the victims of this act, especially when you have never done anything to help a friend in need.
Suicide is not an option. It will never be. When one begins to consider suicide and the Spirit of God is not there to caution him (that is if he listens), neither is there anybody to talk to him, it may be too late.
Surrender to God and allow him to guide you. He will never lead you into killing yourself. Hold on to whatever it is you believe in. But please, don't allow suicide thoughts to win.
Learn to talk to people. Before now, I have always been a person of my own. I don't tell people my problems because of the fear of being insulted. Even up till now, you will never understand my battles until I tell you. Recently, I have discovered the importance of talking to someone about my battles. This is it. People that you talk to may not be able to help you with the materials you need at that time, but they can always talk to you. They can always encourage you. Sometimes, we discover that the battles we think we are facing is nothing to be compared with that of others. I can't remember the number of times I shared my worst fears with someone, but at the end of the day, I am the one that summarizes the discussion with motivational speech because then I realized that the person needed it more than me. Talk to someone.
Don't lock up yourself indoors while you bath yourself with hot tears. Come out and have a view. I'm sure that you will see/hear something to be grateful for. There's always something to be grateful for but the evil one will not let you see it.
Understand that without challenges, then life is incomplete. Embrace the challenges and use it for your good.
Allow yourself to be loved. Don't be the one giving out love to a particular person all the time, and when it's not reciprocated, you start considering suicide. Allow someone to love you.
Help one another. The person you refused to help even when you can, may be the next suicide victim. Help someone overcome their battles.
Check up on your loved ones once in a while; they may be going through hell and they only need your little care to be fine. You may not be able to forgive yourself when you hear they are gone and you couldn't do anything for them.
Stay strong. Stay happy. Stay blessed.
✍Chinenye Omogo-Igwe
#Nwa_Omogo-Igwe #SuicideIsNotAnOption Never mind those fools who claim that those writing motivational posts are jobless. One thing I have observed about Nigerians is that those who readily call others lazy or jobless are usually the lazy ones who perhaps got favoured in one way or the other and they now feel that every other person is lazy and jobless. Even politicians and their children who loot our Commonwealth dry would still call other Nigerians lazy--talk about insult upon injury. |

Chukwurah003: Atiku was in charge of privatization of electricity distribution companies in Nigeria. What a fraud. May we never see his likes again Stop being foolish and tell your paymaster the truth! Atiku successfully carried out privatization, Jonathan's government built on the privatization to improve power supply in the country to a reasonable extent, then Buhari and APC came onboard and destroyed whatever efforts the previous governments made. I have come to realize that the problems we have as a nation are not really the politicians but their supporters like this fool I quoted who fail to tell the politicians the truth because of the little selfish favour they gain or expect to gain from the government of the day. |

Kingkun69: you really haven't seen the capabilities of crammers Everybody that scores high in exams are easily tagged as crammer, then who are the people that READ That word "cramming" is abused in this country! An essential aspect of crammed work is that you easily forget or can't recall clearly during exams. Any material you read and were able to vividly remember and put down in exams can't be said to be crammed. The problem is that we study only to pass exams in this country and that is why after exams people tend to dump whatever they studied and don't pay attention to how such knowledge can be applied. Any knowledge dumped in that manner can easily be forgotten. That is the problem with our scholars! People just go to schools to acquire excellent results in courses they are not interested in developing further. |

Go to my father's driver neighbourhood, tramadol addicts are now choping people up with machetes just so that they could steal their Cash and other belongings to sell for cash to go and buy tramadol. We are saying the same thing. Those who understand what's up in the drug market sat down with saraki and the rest of the Senate to draft the PCN act amendment bill which when signed into law will go a long way in solving the problem of drug abuse, but the presidency seems not interested in signing it into law! It seems they have allowed the beneficiaries of the chaotic drug market to highjack the bill! Tomorrow they'll still come and cry foul about increasing rate of drug abuse and crime! Nigeria is not just serious at all!!!! |

chukel: forget experience. By the time she gets the experience you are referring to, she would have been 60yrs if we are to go by normal Nigerian happenstance. The best governor rivers state ever had is Alfred Diete Spiff. He was military administrator at 27yrs. The very best. What experience did he have. Be he stands the best today. Young people are resourceful. Young people have very rich, bright and unharnessed ideas. They just need platform like this to unleash them. The job of board membership of governmental organization like ICPC requires some experience in the Nigerian political terrain. Don't be surprised that this lady will end up just collecting salary and allowances without influencing any governmental decisions on the agency she represents. Military administrator rules by decree and doesn't necessarily have to engage politicians in pure politics! That was probably why Spiff succeeded in the areas he did. But don't forget that there were other young military officers who failed woefully due to inexperience and youthful exuberance |

Academically, she's very much qualified for the position. A degree in pharmacy is super rich, especially from a good school like ABU! If you know, you know! However, in terms of experience and political prowess, what can such a young lady contribute to improve the lots of ICPC Can she pull the political weight required of her job Board members are the people that move organizations forward by interfacing between the management and politicians to ensure that the organization gets all that is needed from government to move forward. Can she do that? Or just to sit down there and collect allowance |

mhd5757: I hate buhari because he was the one who signed for the banning of the drug, now I can not use it anymore because the banning of the drug has made the price to skyrocket. They only ended up increasing the prize in the market. But the drug is still very much available and being sold in the streets. There's no concrete law on ground to prosecute those distributing the drug in the open market and that is one of the many issues the new law seeks to address. Many of the drugs in circulation in Nigerian markets are fake and these fake drug merchants operate freely because they know that there are no laws to prosecute them. Even when they are arrested they settle the police and drug law people and continue in their illicit trade. It's too bad! You won't understand the grave danger of having fake drugs in circulation until you visit our hospitals to see the number of people dying on daily basis due to fake drugs and drug abuse. |
