Please where's that Shoyinka guy that carried out that investigative journalism that exposed the illegal sales of codiene in Nigeria You know, after the BBC carried out that exposure, our reactionary government was forced into taking some action. But when the matter died down, we returned to the status quo with our drug market still filled with codiene and tramadol . Even the Bill that was passed by the senate with a view to help regulate the drug market is yet to be assented to by the President! Please we need more investigative journalists to beam their searchlights on our drug market to help expose the illegalities going on there! Drug abuse will finish this country if urgent steps are not taken to address the issues!!! |
The court must not allow the daylight robbery that took place in Kano rerun election to stand! That sham must be corrected in order to give hope to the common man on our judicial system. #KanoRerunMustBeCancelled |
jlinkd78:Very very! That is if someone close to Buhari can explain the importance of the Bill to him. |
The legislative arm of government is different from the executive and should not make themselves a rubber stamp of the executive! It will be foolhardy for the senators to cower to the whims and caprices of the executive! |
BizBayo:After abandoning the child for so long, he now went back to pretend like he cares. Besides, if Churchill really cares, he knows the legal procedure to follow. But I know very well that he doesn't care! His intention towards Tonto was fraudulent from onset but that one was carried away by infatuation and bigotry to see through the façade. |
And the so called Churchill that just knows how to impregnate a woman without taking responsibility for the child nko? I know Tonto has her flaws but I don't really like the way Nigerians seem to exonerate Churchill and heap all the blames on Tonto. It takes two to tango! Let's stop encouraging irresponsible men who go about sowing their wild oaths in ladies (especially the rich ladies) only to run away from the responsibility of training the child. Let's stop condemning Tonto alone!!! |
Tunde Ajaja The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria Bill into law without delay. It said this would bring about a new agenda of productivity , professionalism , self -sufficiency in local production and regulatory excellence in the pharmaceutical sector . In a statement signed by the association’ s National Chairman , Mr Samuel Adekola , and the National Secretary , Mrs Abosede Idowu , on Friday, the ACPN listed the gains inherent in the bill , saying it was high time the bill was signed into law. The statement partly read , “ For emphasis , this bill should be assented to for the reflected reasons. “ The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria ( PCN ) Bill 2017 is very consistent with similar laws in the Commonwealth League of Nations , where regulatory laws and statutes have become very sacred in keeping pace with the norms and ethos of public health. “ It is a statement of fact that many less endowed African nations have today polished their pharmacy laws to meet global best practices such that the terminal consequences of poor statutes , weak enforcement , and so on , which engenders easy access to drugs to promote the vicious cycle of drug abuse and misuse , falsified drug syndrome etc are gradually being eliminated in these climes. This is the same purpose the new Pharmacy Council Bill is intended to achieve . Copyright PUNCH. All rights reserved. |

Honestly, Buhari's handlers need to advise him on how to stop being petty and vindictive! That man needs to know that when he does things to prove his critics wrong, he wins the hearts of some critics! Politics must not be a "winner takes it all affair" |
Abeg, kill all of them!!! They are the types that would come home during Christmas with expensive cars to oppress us! Later they'll claim they are "hustling"! While those of us who are genuinely following the due process of law are still finding it hard to make ends meet, these criminals will do all whatnot and make illegal money, yet when they come home nobody questions their source of wealth! Kill all of them!!!! |
OGHENAOGIE:I agree with you that Igbinedion failed to deliver good governance to the state, but we can't continue to reject PDP because of the sins of one man, especially when APC is not doing any better. So, yes, PDP should shop for a good candidate to present in the next guber election in Edo state, I'm sure they'll win in a free and fair contest! |
OGHENAOGIE:APC rigged the presidential election in some places in Edo, especially auchi part where oshiomole comes from. However their rigging only reduced the margin of win but didn't stop PDP from winning. My guy, I'm in Edo and I understand Edo politics to a large extent. PDP is still very much on ground in Edo state! You think it is easy to win 2 out of 3 senatorial seats? State assembly election in the state was rigged for APC because obaseki was interested in the election. Besides, voters turn out wasn't much, thereby making it easy for APC to rig. Like I implied before, I pity any APC politician who takes PDP for granted in an election in Edo state! |
If not the so much money our politicians earn when in public offices, election should be fun like this and played like normal games without rancor and killings. One good legacy Buhari can leave for Nigerians is to cut down politicians' salaries and make public offices unattractive. If Buhari can do that for us, he'll be remembered for it. |
martowskin1:OK o |
martowskin1:The problem is rigging! If free and fair election is conducted in the next guber election in Edo state, APC will lose the state! |
OGHENAOGIE:Reps seats were still shared between APC and PDP. Hons Ihama and Jude Ise-Izehen and the rest won house of reps for PDP. House of assembly elections were rigged for APC because Obaseki wanted an APC dominated house. I pity any APC politician in Edo state who doesn't consider PDP as a serious threat! |
martowskin1:APC can't win Edo in a free and fair election! The last gubernatorial election in the state was rigged by Oshiomole in favor of APC. In the last general election, PDP won 2 senatorial seats plus the presidential election in the state. Edo is still PDP! |
What is he surveying sef??! So much corruption under Mr integrity! Every sin committed by PDP in 16yrs has been doubled by APC government in just 4yrs! God dey look una ooo |
If Churchill hasn't cared enough about the boy's upkeep and general wellbeing, then I think he has no right to demand that the boy takes his saw name. |
Josh44s:Honestly the thing tire me! It's very rare to see a decent lady these days! |
I used to like this Regina Daniels girl until her latest display of whoring lifestyle. Must she prostitute herself because of money ![]() Can't she and her family make do with what she's legitimately earning from Nollywood until she makes it big?? I'm highly disappointed... |
Bolustical:He also successfully lost more states to the PDP |
kense88:Fool. You can't even stand me in real life. The problem with many of you is that you can't argue from other people's perspective. It is not about me as a person! |
Jiang:No doubt about what you typed. I was actually referring to some people that believe that no woman can beat up a man. Some guys have that notion that all women are weak and that is wrong. |
Preshy561:I tell you! In my house, I'm the only agnostic among my christian siblings, yet they don't discriminate or treat me differently. That's the beauty of Christianity! If it were to be a Muslim family maybe I would have been termed an apostate. |
And later some people would say that all women are weaker vessels! Let these military ladies catch some "men", na panel beating them go give them. |
Bede2u:I'll rather choose an Hausa Christian before a Yoruba Muslim! Yoruba Muslims have recently become full of bigotry than even some Hausa Muslims. Generally, I wish we could do away with religion in this country and live like brothers and sisters! |
How I wish my Hausa brothers would stop religious fanaticism! |
Awara no reach to clash with Wike abeg! |
This lady's corps should have been taken straight to the lizard of ubima so that he can eat it. |
Another victim of Amaechi's do or die politics! |
This guy Bleep up sha! Carry missiles and finish the stupid soldier! |
