Sorry,but that is not true.

Many Nigerian doctors have been punished by the Guild for medical negligence. Loss of licence, etc.

Reason why more don't get investigated? We don't have enough foprensic labs, people don't report cases, etc.

Plus, the Nurse was investigated and indicted by a Coroner's report.

Let's not justify bad practice...nurses or doctors.
Trust me bro. I know what i typed. Many nigerian medical doctors kill innocent Nigerians with drug prescription errors. All these happen because the Nigerian med doctors feel they know it all, and so they refuse to seek the advice of the hospital pharmacists before prescribing some drugs. I have encountered many of such cases so I know what I'm typing.
When they kill unsuspecting patients from such wrong use of drugs they say it's adverse drug reaction, and then they cover up the whole malpractice and nobody asks any further questions. Our hospitals are death traps bro.
Health › Re: Nurse Remanded In Prison For Administering Overdose On Senator Isiaka Adeleke by Jman06(m): 11:56am On Jun 11, 2018
Many cases like this go unreported in our hospitals. The medical doctors are the major culprits. They are only taking up this particular case because a nurse is involved. If it had been a medical doctor that administered the drug, the matter would have been swept under the carpet..

Let us make autopsies compulsory for any registered death in our hospitals, then we'll get to see how people die untimely from doctors' prescription errors.

A good number of deaths in nigerians hospitals can be traceable to physicians and their incompetencies. When the patients die they usually tell the patients' relatives 'they were brought in late'. I've witnessed a couple of such cases first hand.
You're right bro. I have witnessed that too.

Stay away from that woman!!!

Focus on your girlfriend and build a decent future for yourself and your unborn kids.
Mark my words: YOU CAN NEVER BECOME RICH BY BEING A GIGOLO

Even females who are into prostitution don't get rich through that means, let alone a guy.

Don't mind all these sex starved nairaland guys who are urging you on.

They are only thinking with their dickks!

Face your hustle and your girl and build a future you can be proud of!!!!!

A word is enough for the wise.

Somebody will come and say it’s because of her shakara. This is Nigeria, where our men will never take responsibility for their actions. Smh
And our women take responsibility for their actionshuh

Both men and women are involved in the game of deception. In fact, ladies do worse because they'll leave the guy totally broke, and guess what, the guy dares not complain because people would rather mock him.

MrBigiman:
But the British prime ministers say there are over 5000 Nigerian trained Doctors in the UK and 12 migrate to the UK weekly. Also America has far more than 5000 Nigerian trained Doctors and Cuba claimed just above a thousand. I have not mention Australia, Ireland and Canada. If these guys see Nigerian Doctors as competent, then the problem here might me quackery, enabling environment or Johesu making the condition of service toxic and unpalatable.

That being said the probability of a Politician who runs away from Nigerian hospitals because of Johesu, seeing a Nigerian GP in the UK or US is close to 20%. Rather pathetic!
Assuming the above figures are factual, then the following should be noted:

1. They underwent further trainings upon arrival before being licensed to practice in those countries!

2. They jettisoned the "know it all" mentality of the average Nigerian-trained physician and accepted to work as teammates with other healthcare professionals to serve the patients better.

3.What you have is the statistics for Nigerian trained physicians working abroad, you don't have the figures for other Nigerian healthcare professionals who also practice abroad, so it'll be wrong of you to claim that Nigerian medical doctors are the only ones working abroad.

4.Many Nigerian politicians and elites go abroad to get treated of common ailments because they are aware that lack of teamwork in Nigerian hospitals constitutes a big hindrance to proper healthcare delivery. It is not always about lack of facilities like you are quick to claim.

This op will die ontop Johesu matter..... Haha it's only ur poor wife I pity.
The questions should be, aside treating malaria and typhoid what else are Nigerian doctors good at?
They can't even properly treat malaria and typhoid!

I laugh at Nigerian medical doctors. They always claim to know it all, yet our politicians and wealthy elites go abroad to treat malaria!

I wish the national assembly could pass a bill making autopsies compulsory for all deaths in our hospitals. It'll help to expose the incompetencies of our medical doctors!!

Kia, I am in my 4th decade of life and I can say I've never seen a set as disgruntled as Johesu. Enjoy ur Doctor, but it will add no extra duty or responsibility on u in the hospital. It's should be clear by now that u earn the same with ur Bpharm colleagues, but spent 8months extra doing an inconclusive research. Johesu is a failed group and everything will be done to keep them out of circulation.
If it pains you that he's using the Dr title, take the noose below, enter the nearest bush and do the needful.

Chuka face your internship and leave johesu mata.

Johesu as you know it will be disbanded. This singular failed attempt will never be repeated.

Talking about loosing your folks. You are the cause of your own misfortune. Infact, ironically, a lot of patients have benefited from your illegal absence from UCH and are grateful for your strike.

Quickly return to work on Monday so that you can receive your own fair share of being riddiculed

Some of you forget that it is actually a privilege to grow old.

Don't worry, we'll know their real ages when they pass on because that is only when Nigerian families like to reveal real ages of their loved ones so people won't think they die prematurely in their families.

Stop mentioning my name over and over again. Johesu's woes just began. When the government finishes with that group, there will be more honour for a bet naija player, than for anyone that associates himself with Johesu. Already some intelligent support staffs are withdrawing from the armophous group.
You must be a kid with very little knowledge of industrial relations.

I thought you lots claim to be more important than other healthcare professionalshuh Yet you have failed woefully to prove yourselves in the absence of the "unimportant" guys.

And now, you - mrbigiman, has resorted to pulling off a "notice" from your stinking aszs to cow the supposedly unimportant workers into returning to workhuh!

There's no advantage in being a gigolo!

A man should be at least 5yrs older than his lady.

worlexy:
Your last paragraph sum it up that you're in training so I pardon your ignorance. First in the case of Erythromycin and carbamazepin that you sight. A 400L medical student knows the basic things about enzyme inducers and inhibitors and drug interactions so what gibberish are you talking about?
second you said a patient was given a drug in the hospital by physicians and the patient died, so you don't know about Adverse drug reaction, or anaphylaxis which can happen to anybody as a reaction to drug, don't people have natural atopy and allergic reaction like asthma that has killed them? Some people even have food allergy.
if Adverse drug reaction is not a possibility with some medication why did NAFDAC bring about pharmacovigilance form?

Like I said, I pardon your ignorance because you're still a student. Study hard, I wish you the best
I wouldn't want to go into details with you here, but just know that deaths from those adverse drug reactions could be avoided if you consult your pharmacist before giving those drugs. Thanks

It is only Nigerian physicians that claim more knowledge of drugs than druggists. Physicians in the west know better!!!

No need for further arguments here.
