They are free. -NOT ENTIRELY TRUE FOR THE MAJORITY
..most organs come from newly deceased donors because most renal doctors don’t favor live donors -I KNOW THIS
organ donors die everyday and the organs are GIVEN to people who match in the order that they were placed on the list. -READ THE NUMBER IN MY COMMENT TELL ME WHEN IT GETS TO THE 500,000TH

The Ekeweremadus felt that they and their daughter was above waiting like anyone else. -HELL NO! A DESPERATE FATHER THROUGH A MEDICAL AGENCY FOUND A WILLING DONOR WHO REQUEST "SUPPORT"
If people think the US and Europe’s laws are “mad”.. -NOT WHAT I WROTE
..then they should remain..-I HAVE NO INTENTIONS
I think people are just shocked and upset to see that Ike’s status as a politician.. -NOPE, HE'S NT ONE OF OUR BELOVED POLITICIANS AND POLITICIANS HAVE BEEN JAILED IN NIGERIA.

..living with one kidney isnt a simple thing and requires constant medical care for a lifetime. -WHY IT SHOULD BE GIVEN FOR FREE?

really selling your kidney for 1.2 million? why did Ekwe and his fam not go through the legal process despite all his wealth?

And all for 1.2m
If they had offered him the normal price range for kidney he wouldn’t have denied or reported the issue he would have kept mute
Forget nollywood stories that tell you kidney is 20m or 30m. Pure lies. Organ donor is "free". The legal process is You either die waiting your turn as number 5,796,413 on the list or you somehow miraculously get a donor or some medical outreach help arrange a good samaritan who wishes to help. You "support" the person to recuperate and get back on their feet. Maybe car, house, job, paying off mortgage, insurance or student loan or cash. There is no truly free donor in Europe or America and that their law is mad.

1) Why would Ekweremadu try to take advantage of such a small kid as that boy.

2) They boy should have rejected their proposal right from Nigeria but greed of travelling abroad has blinded him to reason and he doesn't mind destroying the entire Ekweremadu family just to be able to stay in the UK
1) Stop tribalism.
2) Somebody in mid 20's is a small boy to you? Do you think Ekweremadu personally courted the boy?

3) This just pure evil from the boy and his supporters. He has denied people who legitimately want to help the lady and other people who really needed that money to change their entire generation.

He came in contact with the agency, he saw what they advertised. How else did they take him to europe for hospital tests through openly legal means if he had not agreed on that?

You yourself know the truth from your 2nd point.

I only pity the victim that still needs the kidney. Imagine being the parents. Dn't wish this experience on ur enemy.

FamilyRe: My Mum Is Planning To Forcefully Give Out My Little Sister Out For Marriage by jmichael259(m): 2:28pm On Feb 17, 2023

An almost 50yr old divorcee with 3kids, can never want any under20 girl for "marriage". Your mother isn't marrying her out, she is throwing her away into servitude, extreme suffering. A lifetime of battering and gnashing of teeth. Know this and become brave.
Secondly, nobody in your immediate family has the right to force the girl into marriage without telling her the truth about her parents and involving the relevant members and chiefs from both her father & mother villages.

Ways to solve this gently is to take the gal away(if u can afford), find her a JOB or better SUITOR since bills and marriage are your mother's blind excuse.

e.g: I am mid-early 30's, christian, 3rd generation educationist (as in grandparents, parents, uncles, cousins everybody na civil servant, graduate entreprenuers). I for come marry her or find another young industrious single landlord for her here bt you dey lagos i'm in the east. I'm serious. This is what u should find for her.

Yes, the river niger bridge of many years ago was not done by APC. If you meant the second one, that too was started by PDP. The slow, painstaking part of the work (dredging, foundation, raising basket column etc) had been done. Notwithstanding, we must still commend Buhari for allowing the project to be completed.
Now, what has APC done in the entire SE & SS? The second niger bridge is not up to 2km and both bridges are in the same location.
Under PDP, the entire ow-onicha road, ph road, okigwe rd, enugu rd and almost all highways in the region were completely reconstructed and dualised. So, Adult politician, what exactly has SS & SE gained from APC?

My day job is working with 15 year olds who are living in care (have been taken away from their families by the UK govt), so I see no reason this boy's case be considered worse.
Take a 17yr old nigerian brat abroad. Maybe you'll live to tell the story if it's worse or not.
Many africans bring their teenagers home to cool their heads and you are canvassing to take an already entitled, disrespectful one abroad.
I've not seen you or the other campaigners show concern for how this lady will cope with this adult boy in U.K or any chance of her standing on her feet first before getting him abroad in future years. Is this some kind of subtle misogyny or does empathy work only one sidedly?

By the way, Are fathers not entitled to their own kids anymore that we must agree to yank this boy away to U.K just as the father was beginning to establish contact?

Benue too had 4 before Anambra.. Makurdi, Gboko, Otukpo and Kastina-Ala..
And new parishes keep sprouting everyday in Imo so why isn't Imo dioceses growing since then? Imo has had those 4 dioceses for how many decades now? Imo always had a much deeper penetration of church (Assemblies of God, Catholic, Anglican from the days my great grand mother. Imo has enough priests to outnumber Anambara. Anambara has a large population of pagans till date. Why are cardinals, bishops, saints only Anambara? Why is Anambara the only bishops sent to other states while non indgene can't try it in their place? How did Anambara get two new dioceses in barely two years to reach 5 while other states were paused?

Obi stayed with Atiku when power was in the north. Now that power should come to the south, with south east being the last zone left out, What sort of weed would make Obi leave Atiku whose zone has a claim to become vice to Kwankwaso in NNPP?

I am looking at investing in hospitality business but I’m not sure if 60Million naira will be adequate to erect a 20 room hotel and event hall with a capacity of about 500 people max.

Cause of the paucity of funds, I’m looking to make it a single story building such that hotel will be on the ground floor while the top floor will hold the event hall.

Engineers in the house do you think this amount will be enough to achieve this? Pls let’s have your expert opinion on this. Thanks in advance.
Does this include the cost of 16mm rods, almaco, wall screeding, tiling, beds and furniture?

BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op): 9:51am On Feb 11, 2023

It is both unfortunate and laughable. I try to exempt people over the age of 70 especially if they had little education or gsm literacy. Some of them also have trust issues because they experienced the madness that was in the banking sector up till the 90's and early 2000's. But the CBN, NDIC with the bank consolidation of the 2000's has made sure that no bank can fold away with people's money again in this country.
Moreover, they can now be served by those microfinance that come door to door daily because convincing such aged ones to travel into town and queue in the bank is an almost impossible task unless they're pensioners.
Infact majority of nigerians are supposed to be patronizing the licensed microfinance around their community. They're meant to reduce informal sector stress while commercial banks attend to more corperate entities. They now issue ATM and have USSD. The customer will receive alert on their phones and have 10digit NUBAN for transfers.
BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op):
Is the money you want to transfer stuck in the bank that is offline?
Linking the ATM card to a wallet like opay, carbon, kuda will help pull the money directly from the account so you don't miss a transaction.

FAKE ALERT: a fake alert doesn't know your balance. So always read any alert completely and check if your balance has changed. Using POS & wallets also reduce your risk of fake alerts as you see the balance or transfer to main account immediately to confirm the money is real.

OVER 20YRS Nigeria has been hammering on this cashless policy but we remained adamant so CBN now pepper us. Market women in their 30's, 40's, 50's claiming they can't learn to do USSD or mobile banking but they and their children have smartphones. Even torchlight phones can do transfer.

The lack of innovative ideas from POS companies to grab this opportunity to enrol shops and share devices is baffling. Also NFC & contactless terminals for shop/taxi payments.

Please list more ways you know to solve our cashless problems
BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op):
Wallets: While numerous banks were overwhelmed during this period many smart people made seamless transfers through their wallets. E.g. Kuda, Moniepoint, Carbon, Branch, Opay, Fairmoney etc.

POS:
Otherwise known fully as Point Of Sale terminal, is and should be part of each and every shop/ sales premises. Yes, that provision store in your street and the woman selling fufu, palm oil and food condiments should all have POS. You don't need cash to pay for toilet paper, condom, airtime, utility bills, tea or bottle water in any of the "sane clime" we always like to use as reference.
POS is a portable/mobile device just like GSM and not a cash business venture as we converted it to and used it to bring untold hardship upon ourselves by senseless charges this period. Imagine nigerians charging each other up to 200naira for each 1000naira withdrawal.
BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op):
BAD/FAILED NETWORK

1)Multiple accounts:
It can be termed unwise for anyone in nigeria to patronise only one bank or network. It's unfortunate that nigeria is still at this stage but "when in Rome do like the Romans" and "do not put your eggs in one basket." When bank Z goes offline, immediately switch to bank U or your wallet for smooth transaction. I personally operate 3 different banks (plus wallets) and i've always owned the 4 major gsm networks. This saves me from losing communication even in a rural community. People with multiple cards can attest to getting larger volumes of cash at the ATM while others were stuck with 20k limit during this period.

2) USSD: Banks have USSD codes for when you don't have data or network is bad. If the problem is from the bank itself, many wallets and PSBs also use USSD codes to keep you linked. Some Examples; Smartcash PSB *939#, 9mobile PSB *990*0#, mtn MomoPSB *671#, Carbon *1303#

Please add more payment services that use USSD and list their codes in the comments

This is not an avenue to moan and groan as we have complained enough. Many nigerians and their businesses are currently in limbo and we should use this opportunity to create awareness to our comrades on how to survive this naira scarcity brouhaha. No need talking about the naira redesign, deadline, network induced transaction failure etc. Instead i will implore everyone to use the comment section to list different avenues to ease of transaction for general awareness.

I DON'T HAVE BANK ACCOUNT: Many claim to be too busy for bank visitations to open bank accounts.
1)PSB: last 10digits of ur mobile number becomes account number by registering with any of the numerous CBN licensed Payment Service Banks. e.g MTN MOMO PSB, 9mobile PSB, Smartcash PSB etc
2)ESUSU account by the microfinance guys walking around shop to shop daily. CBN has over the years licensed and charged microfinance banks and cooperatives with the task of attending to the needs of nigeria's unbanked populace consists majorly of market people.
