Nigeria is divided into 6 geopolitical zones and 3 zones have been left out of the presidency since this 1999 democracy. Atiku has a claim, Peter Obi has a claim, North Central also.

Obi stayed with Atiku when power was in the north. Now that power should come to the south, with south east being the last zone left out, What sort of weed would make Obi leave Atiku whose zone has a claim to become vice to Kwankwaso in NNPP?

I am looking at investing in hospitality business but I’m not sure if 60Million naira will be adequate to erect a 20 room hotel and event hall with a capacity of about 500 people max.

Cause of the paucity of funds, I’m looking to make it a single story building such that hotel will be on the ground floor while the top floor will hold the event hall.

Engineers in the house do you think this amount will be enough to achieve this? Pls let’s have your expert opinion on this. Thanks in advance.
Does this include the cost of 16mm rods, almaco, wall screeding, tiling, beds and furniture?

BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op): 9:51am On Feb 11, 2023

It is both unfortunate and laughable. I try to exempt people over the age of 70 especially if they had little education or gsm literacy. Some of them also have trust issues because they experienced the madness that was in the banking sector up till the 90's and early 2000's. But the CBN, NDIC with the bank consolidation of the 2000's has made sure that no bank can fold away with people's money again in this country.
Moreover, they can now be served by those microfinance that come door to door daily because convincing such aged ones to travel into town and queue in the bank is an almost impossible task unless they're pensioners.
Infact majority of nigerians are supposed to be patronizing the licensed microfinance around their community. They're meant to reduce informal sector stress while commercial banks attend to more corperate entities. They now issue ATM and have USSD. The customer will receive alert on their phones and have 10digit NUBAN for transfers.
BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op):
Is the money you want to transfer stuck in the bank that is offline?
Linking the ATM card to a wallet like opay, carbon, kuda will help pull the money directly from the account so you don't miss a transaction.

FAKE ALERT: a fake alert doesn't know your balance. So always read any alert completely and check if your balance has changed. Using POS & wallets also reduce your risk of fake alerts as you see the balance or transfer to main account immediately to confirm the money is real.

OVER 20YRS Nigeria has been hammering on this cashless policy but we remained adamant so CBN now pepper us. Market women in their 30's, 40's, 50's claiming they can't learn to do USSD or mobile banking but they and their children have smartphones. Even torchlight phones can do transfer.

The lack of innovative ideas from POS companies to grab this opportunity to enrol shops and share devices is baffling. Also NFC & contactless terminals for shop/taxi payments.

Please list more ways you know to solve our cashless problems
BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op):
Wallets: While numerous banks were overwhelmed during this period many smart people made seamless transfers through their wallets. E.g. Kuda, Moniepoint, Carbon, Branch, Opay, Fairmoney etc.

POS:
Otherwise known fully as Point Of Sale terminal, is and should be part of each and every shop/ sales premises. Yes, that provision store in your street and the woman selling fufu, palm oil and food condiments should all have POS. You don't need cash to pay for toilet paper, condom, airtime, utility bills, tea or bottle water in any of the "sane clime" we always like to use as reference.
POS is a portable/mobile device just like GSM and not a cash business venture as we converted it to and used it to bring untold hardship upon ourselves by senseless charges this period. Imagine nigerians charging each other up to 200naira for each 1000naira withdrawal.
BusinessRe: Overcoming Common "Hindrances" To Nigeria's Cashless Policy by jmichael259(op):
BAD/FAILED NETWORK

1)Multiple accounts:
It can be termed unwise for anyone in nigeria to patronise only one bank or network. It's unfortunate that nigeria is still at this stage but "when in Rome do like the Romans" and "do not put your eggs in one basket." When bank Z goes offline, immediately switch to bank U or your wallet for smooth transaction. I personally operate 3 different banks (plus wallets) and i've always owned the 4 major gsm networks. This saves me from losing communication even in a rural community. People with multiple cards can attest to getting larger volumes of cash at the ATM while others were stuck with 20k limit during this period.

2) USSD: Banks have USSD codes for when you don't have data or network is bad. If the problem is from the bank itself, many wallets and PSBs also use USSD codes to keep you linked. Some Examples; Smartcash PSB *939#, 9mobile PSB *990*0#, mtn MomoPSB *671#, Carbon *1303#

Please add more payment services that use USSD and list their codes in the comments

This is not an avenue to moan and groan as we have complained enough. Many nigerians and their businesses are currently in limbo and we should use this opportunity to create awareness to our comrades on how to survive this naira scarcity brouhaha. No need talking about the naira redesign, deadline, network induced transaction failure etc. Instead i will implore everyone to use the comment section to list different avenues to ease of transaction for general awareness.

I DON'T HAVE BANK ACCOUNT: Many claim to be too busy for bank visitations to open bank accounts.
1)PSB: last 10digits of ur mobile number becomes account number by registering with any of the numerous CBN licensed Payment Service Banks. e.g MTN MOMO PSB, 9mobile PSB, Smartcash PSB etc
2)ESUSU account by the microfinance guys walking around shop to shop daily. CBN has over the years licensed and charged microfinance banks and cooperatives with the task of attending to the needs of nigeria's unbanked populace consists majorly of market people.

Point is, you're right.

But it is a possibility that it could be echolalia/echopraxia manifesting.

Remember, before you confirm a phenomenon as supernatural you'll have to exhaust all natural causes.

And in this case, dementia with the above symptoms is the most probable diagnosis.
Imagine ur confused life. Just obsessed with hating on supernatural?
This person has not said the woman's act is supernatural. Nobody said so, not the post itself.

You're just kid read new fancy textbook words echolalia and became online medic police forcing diagnosis on people you will never meet.

For AS couples to first or only have AS or AA kids is mere luck. It can even be all sicklers, not just their first child.
Each pregnancy conception has a 1/3(SS,AA,AS) on textbook chance of being SS but in reality actually around 40% chance if parents are both AS.

Remember: This is for each new pregnancy to be conceived. The gene does not start counting during childbirth neither does it know how many kids the couple want.

they should have made the deputy governorship candidate their flag bearer in the upcoming elections.
I was going to say the same but i think that should happen if the candidate died after winning the general election (e.g. Yaradua/Jonathan & kogi 2015) but APC failed to do so in 2015.

a) The deputy is normally handpicked after the primaries and hence not the people's voting choice.

b) Zoning; the deputy candidate may be coming from the same zone as the incumbent or another zone that balances the equation instead of the zone the party or the states citizens wishes to currently cede the seat to.

Therefore, a fresh primary is needed to resolve any lapses before elections. But after general elections the ticket has been claimed. The deputy and principal shall become one. They both get sacked (Lyon in Bayelsa and Ihedioha in Imo) while Deputy takes over if principal is impeached or incapacited. No outsider comes to usurp like what APC/Yahaya Bello did 2015.

How does this relate to the post? Even Jesus prayed unto God.
