Christians make a mistake of looking at sin and the law as two separate entities. They are not. The law is the sin, and the sinner is the person who makes himself subject to the law(the ten commandments and it's derived ordinances) and it's definitions. Everything that is written in the scriptures up till the death and resurrection of Jesus has been interpreted based on the law, and christians continue to do so today. We know that the law is modeled after the truth of god, but it can only do so as shadows and parables rather than plainly. This was why Jesus spoke in parables instead of in plain truth because his time on earth was still the era of the law and he had to abide by that law. Now that his death has "legally" abolished that law, we should no longer follow it's definitions. Everything!!! the law says is shadowy, we should not see them as literal, plain meaning. So where the law says:"you shall not commit adultery", while it sounds "good", but our question should be: "So what is truly adultery?" not as the law defines it, but as it is defined spiritually. Where the law says "You shall have no other god before me...", Again, it sounds good, but we must also ask: "So what is this true God?", Again, not as the law defines it but as it is truly, etc etc

So if a christian claims that sin has no dominion over him but he still defines sin by what the law says, then he is wrong and is in-fact still under dominion for as long as he still respects the law in his conscience, for the power of sin is the law(1 Corinthians 15:56 ). So if you claim to be a christian, Then you must set yourself free from this law, because jesus himself assumed this law and by dying, has legally removed the law, Therefore all your definitions of right & wrong must change and not be based on this same law that has held you bondage(whether religiously or secularly.

Sin was not defined by the law. Sin pre existed the law

The word "reckon" as used above originates from the Greek word "logizomai" which is actually an accounting term. It means to take inventory or stock of something such that there’re no assumptions. In Accounting, you deal with specific figures and data, not assumptions.

When the Word urges you to "reckon yourself to be dead to sin, but alive unto God," it means you should "account yourself" to be ungoverned or undominated by sin. You must take whatever God says about you as absolute truth. His Word says you’re dead to sin, therefore refuse to let sin dominate you:

"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace" (Romans 6:14).

Romans 8:37 says you’re more than a conqueror, therefore reckon yourself as such and begin to live as a victor, and not a victim. This is how to relate with the Word; you reckon (account) it to be absolute reality.

However, for you to account yourself to be what the Word says, you must first know it. You must study the Word and keep getting it into your spirit; take it as the truth to live by, for it is. Reckon
yourself to be exactly what the Word says.

I will give some examples . It's just like FAITH . We all have faith . By faith we got saved.

But that doesn't mean we have the faith to deal with every problem of life . You need to have more faith. Someone may say "I already have faith". He needs revelation for the kind of faith to deal with that particular situation.

The question first is what do you understand by anointing? Did you ask them what the programme is about. Don't judge a book by the cover

If anointing is needed for destiny to come to past I think you should start questioning the Bible itself because scriptures says, God gives to ALL MEN without finding faults. Then those who are not Christians and have fulfilled their destiny will be asked what anointing they got for destiny.

I don't have detail I formation about this programme you're talking about. It's not wise to speak audaciously of what you have little or no information about. But I can help you with this.
If you have ever cast out devils from people ,you will know that destiny doesn't get fulfilled automatically .there are deeds that can hinder destiny. There are devils that can hinder destiny. There are decisions that cn hinder destiny. Wrong choice of marriage partner can block fulfilment of destiny.So if a man of God comes up with a programme to help people fulfill destiny. You should rather be concerned about what he sees that you don't see, and what he knows that you may not know.

I first saw the "suffering in hell teaching" in some materials by kenyon and I think hagin ( this is not to discredit anyone) some years back and I believed it and even preached it.
The teaching was based on the fact that Jesus became sin and since He became sin, he had to go to hell to suffer.
But after doing a study I realised Jesus was victorious from the cross, paying the debt in full. There was no need to suffer he went in victorious.

I don't think that verse of scripture is talking about physical riches but rather we should be rich in generosity as exemplified by Christ.

The question I may ask is : was Jesus poor in generosity? Because whatever richies he want us to have is based on what he lacked. If the riches is generosity , that means Jesus was lacking generosity , he became stingy that we through his stinginess can become generous. That may not fit in well .

Besides The Greek word for riches refers to material wealth .while the Greek word for poverty means to lack in material things

Have you ever found yourself in situations where you had difficulty expressing yourself to carnal people?

For example, being a spiritual man, if you felt a headache, you couldn’t say "I have a headache." The carnal man, on the other hand, sees nothing wrong communicating at such a mundane level. Realize that as Christians we don’t walk by our feelings, we walk by faith. If you say, "I have headaches," it means you’ve taken possession of it; you claimed it, and you shouldn’t because it’s an outside force; so don’t accommodate it in your body. Hebrews 13:5-6 says "…for he (God) hath said…that we may boldly say…."

You’re only supposed to say what you have, that God gave to you. Don’t accept anything that’s from the devil. Make up your mind that throughout this year, you’ll stand your ground in faith and walk in divine health. Refuse sickness, poverty, death, or depravity. Talk spiritual. Speak according to God’s infallible Word, and not according to your senses.

As Christians, we’re called to live and act like God. "How is that possible?" You might want to ask! This has been made possible through the mirror principle of the Word. The Word of God is the mirror of God. The Bible says anyone who hears the Word and doesn’t act accordingly is like a man who sees himself in a mirror, turns around and forgets what he looks like (James 1:23-24). In other words, God expects you to hear His Word and do what it says. The problem, however, is that many don’t know how to do the Word of God.

Now, the mirror principle of the Word is that you see yourself as what God sees you to be in His Word, and then act accordingly. It simply means acting the Word. For instance, in the Word, the mirror of God, He says, you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus. That is God’s image and reflection of you. See that image and endorse it. Act like it’s true; for it’s true. Again, He shows you in the Word that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; see it so. That’s His image of you.
Seeing yourself in the Word, the mirror of God, and acting accordingly is the way to live in the reality of your inheritance in Christ. That’s how to enjoy all that God has made available to you in Christ Jesus. So keep looking into the mirror of God; keep studying and listening to the Word of God. As you do, you’ll be transfigured to become more and more like the glory you see in the Word. This is the mirror principle of the Word.

The word "HEALED" primarily referes to cure. but It's total package. And Physical healing,salvation and general well being inclusive.

Did Jesus have to suffer in hell or was the work finished at the cross?

The bible didn't say he suffered in hell. He triumphed in hell. But if the question is to know if Jesus went to hell , he did. He triumphed on the cross by dying for our sins. But he had to go to hell,to finish up. Pronounce salvation,set captives free. Rose up. He had to defeat death. And obtain the power of hell and death.

Is Romans 8:19-24 talking about some future manifestations of saints on earth or the rapture?

It's not applicable to the rapture but Its applicable to our dispensation and partially to the millennial reign of christ. The book of ephesians tells us that "all things are under his feet" but the truth is that Legally all things are under the feat of Jesus but vitally, all things are not yet underfoot. We are responsible to put things underfoot in our world.

Hebrews 2:8
Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

Jesus will not come until we put all enemies where they belong and restore all things .thats the mature church.

What does Romans 8:32 rily mean: "He that spared not his son....also give us all things"

If God says "all things" he means all things. It's a total package.

davidylan: the answer to the above question is very simple. Yes God forgives us of our sins completely. However some sins do have physical consequences.

For example - If you are caught stealing... God can forgive you all well and good but the prosecutor is still going to haul you into jail. If you impregnate your neighbour, you will be forgiven if you ask for it, but the pregnancy is not going to disappear overnight and you will still be the father...
