Jeremiah 29:7
"And seek the peace of the city…and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace." We’re responsible to God and to the countrywhere we live to seek its peace and pray to the Lord for it; for in the peace of the nation is your own peace as an individual.

So, rather than be discouraged, intervene in prayer for peace in your country.

There's benefit of tithing . But you see the issue of prosperity has many sides . What of a man who pays tithe and has no prayer life. Or pays tithe and carries prostitutes . Definitely he will have some troubles. Besides . Tithes are not payed to msn. It belongs to God.
The comparison doesn't add up that's my point . What about offering ? What about salvation . Are christian the richest ? Does that mean being a christian has no blessing . What about . Offering . Is the offerer the richest man in the world? Does that mean there's no blessing to it. ? Hope you get my point.

Lenny5000: As the OP I am learning a lot from this thread quiet alright but trust me nobody alive can impose Tithe on me. Though my Pastor believes in Tithe but he rarely preaches it... I had to ask one day if they actually tithe in my Church. My Pastor is a young man about my age, a very friendly guy that works for his Money... He actually adds his personal money to Church stuff when Church money is not enough...so he is not one of those that are after people's money.

It is the tithe eaters who gives impression that , a pastor lives by tithe and all he preaches is tithe. Most pastor do their jobs and businesses . And money that men give in church doesn't belong to pastor.
