Rohr just cleared the air from from factual tweets that he did not approach him. Why are we now scared to approach him all of a sudden?. Did Eze issue out a statement that he did not want to play for us? Did Rohr seek his consent first before that audition call up several years ago? It's okay for Eze to turn down a call up. It becomes official then and we move forward. Eartquake1: You think Rohr would name him without his consent?

more rumors loading... Humility017: Rohr reacts as cash-for-shirts scandal rocks Super Eagles
November 2, 2019 By Ifreke Inyang
Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has strongly denied allegations that he cajoled his squad members, into signing contracts with a France-based agent simply known as ‘Mr. William’, in exchange for a regular place in the national team.
SportingLife claims that William is acting as a front for Rohr, who usually woos players to sign contracts with his management team, with the aim of getting a mouth-watering commission whenever they switch clubs.
It is alleged that no fewer than six senior Nigerian stars, have signed with the agent.
However, Rohr has dismissed the allegation as baseless and unfounded, although he admitted knowing William.
“There is an agent called William based in France. Most of these players mentioned were already in the Super Eagles before they joined his management team.
“These boys are close and they discuss what their management teams offer amongst themselves and they convince themselves to change management teams for better offers.
“For instance, Anderson Esiti who was named in the list of players that purportedly signed the contract with William’s management team was not included in the squad for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
“Is it that his payment has expired and Mikel Agu who just returned to the Eagles has just renewed his subscription,” Rohr said in a response he made through the Eagles’ media officer, Toyin Ibitoye.

They need to get better as a team, not looking like players looking for personal glory. OMANBALA1: Quite truthfully, this team can get better. There are abundant talents in the team. Olusegun is a very gifted player but his finishing touches need some improvements. He can get better with time. Wisdom Ubani who is quite the star of the team is struggling with fitness but when in shape a deadly and technically gifted player. As for Amoo , a born midfielder, but I feel like he is too short. I mean ,if he is as tall as Oruma I wont mind. The captain is a warrior , and I love his imposing presence. |

He is indeed a legend. Thank you! Modified He has tutored the best Nigerian national team I have ever seen in terms of how they dominated their opponents all tournament. BascoVanVeli: I repeat no player on the pitch works as hard as Olusegun. The way we accuse a legend like Manu Garba of corruption at everything we personally don't like is very disgraceful. My prayer is that he gets a better job than coaching Nigeria in the nearest future because this is arrant nonsense. |

AVERAGEEEEEÈÉÊËĒĖEĘ charlesemeka85: Izuchukwu Okosi runs the rule on the performance of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets in their last group game against Australia...
The Starters
Goalkeeper
Joseph Oluwabusola : The goalkeeper made some impressive saves in the first half notably the outstretched, instinctive footed save that kept the scoreline respectable. 6/10.
Defenders
Ferdinand Ikenna : Had a torrid time marking the dangerous Australian strikers before him albeit had better aerial duels. 5/10.
Usman Ibrahim : Was deemed to have fouled Caleb Watts which gifted Australia their second goal. Saw a yellow card for his tango with Tristan Hammond who was also booked. 5.5/10
Oluwatimilehin Adeniyi : The right sided defender was good on the night and did cut out most mistakes that showed in his previous matches. 6/10.
Quadri Ebun : The defender replaced Charles Etim but didn't offer the same quality as the young man he replaced. Etim is on a yellow and it's unclear if that played a role in the coaches thoughts. 5/10.
Midfielders
Samson Tijani : The captain who has attracted interests from some clubs in Europe was a good link between defence and attack but in all honesty his performance against Australia will rank least of the the matches so far. 6.5/10.
Hamzat Ojediran : The midfielder was too anxious to make an impression and even hit the side net in the second half. Made some ball recoveries which was good to know. 6/10.
Ibrahim Said : The three goal hero in their last match Sa'id was rather very quiet in this match. Can do better subsequently. 5/10.
Attackers
Olakunle Olusegun : Perhaps was the most 'wasteful' Nigerian this night although he did have some close efforts that unluckily didn't go in. 6/10.
Akunkunmi Amoo : The creative player started versus Australia unlike the previous two matches he came off the bench to cause problems for their opponents. Amoo excited a d frustrated in equal measures. But promising future for the young man. 8.5/10. Peter Olawale : The striker was preferred to Wisdom Ubani. He scored Nigeria's goal but after then was not very threatening going forward. He drifted to the right side of attack a lot. 7/10.
The Substitutes
Ibraheem Jabaar : Came off the bench in the second half. Subdued performance tonight. Made more impact in the previous matches. 5/10.
Divine Nwachukwu : There was little he could do after coming off the bench towards the end of the match. 4/10. |

You dey yan like Donald Trump OMANBALA1: Lets be a little objective and reasonable here, guys. Iwobi has been nothing but a consistent flop back to back with little flash in the pan. This is a boy who is saddled with the responsibility of orchestrating the Eagles attack ,yet he can barely hold a ball for more than 1 second just because he lacks the stamina, the skill and confidence to man up and face his fears. We have continued to play that misery of an attacking midfielder just because we are short in supply and now you guys want to bring the school boy dada from Queen Park Ranhers to come and continue the mockery. This is just too painful. If you want to play Iwobi do so because you have no better option because of your incompetence in finding a decent attacking midfielder in a country of over 170 million people. You guys have been crawling all over the place begging, crying and wailing to convince a crappy little nigga from England to come play for you. Its getting to the point where 70% of our senior team will be dominated by little weak niggaz from England...these intruders will adversely affect the style of our play. You guys are not seeing the big picture. Very soon super eagles will start playing like bunch of init sissies from England....wake up guys. Why must we beg for everything, black men! And those boys will end up marrying white bitches and give their wealth to the Europeans. None of them will marry a Nigerian woman, none. They are inferiors!! |

The MRI has improved our selection culture against age cheating over time.. so let's move forward as regards the U17s komekn: This may be true.
But that doesn't mean to say that these deductions are without substance.
Look at a number of our players who claimed U16 in 2009 and you notice very little change. Shockingly some of them passed MRI at the time.
Go and look at Iwobi at U16 and look at him now there is clear and obvious difference in the way he look facial skeletal and otherwise.
What is annoying is the hypocrisy we all know that age cheating is rampant, endemic and wholescale across every sector in Nigeria.
Why then do people get up in arms when the issue of age cheating arises, in boisterous denial and hostile indignation.
Yes we now have MRI which has limited the degree of reckless and blatant age cheating that used to go on for years.
That doesn't mean it has now been eradicated yes limited but unfortunately until we have automatic birth data capture. It will always exist. |

Particularly in our U17 we actually have boys and not men particularly in the last 5/6 years and it seems to be getting better undoubtedly.
Your right let's leave the set of Omeruo where it belongs our dark history.

The boy may have lost out due to him not being good enough, or it could also be the other way. Anything is possible with us. But some things look like what typical Nigerians would do. My question is why did they refuse to release his passport? Why will the interviewee by lying about that? This is one of the reasons why some parents in diaspora advise thier children to turn their backs on Nigeria. What this country called NIgeria has subjected people to. There is another side to the story. Nigeria/Nigerians no dey try. Sportilitica: How do we verify this? Who has seen his son play? Is he better than those taken. If what he says is true then our football is under threat |
