Pinky dear, sorry it took me this long to reply. I graduated in 2000. And boy oh boy, I was one of those who 'carried' CSC101 till the very final year. It was a share waste of time, that module.
If I may ask, what course module is CSC101??

ComputersRe: My PC keeps asking me to get Windows Update! by jogego(m): 7:13pm On Jun 11, 2005
Seun:
Besides, very few cyber-cafe or company PC administrators would be bold enough to install firefox on the PCs they manage and remove IE!  What do you tell people when they notice that some of their websites "aren't working" anymore?
Am not sure you can really uninstall IE. Its been so tightly interwoven into windows that all u can do is pretty much hide it from view. Its good to keep your computer up to date. Since I adminsiter my own computers, I can be pretty sure that nobody can cause any wahala on my network. The general use laptop has simply mepis on it. Linux by design does not allow u to install or do any administrative stuff so its pretty secure. But then, I up date my system files every two weeks.

When it gets really annoying is when you are wearing designers and the guy is wearing washed and faded clothes or when your face rivals that of Cindy Crawford and he is the original atutupoyoyo, you know it is really  rolleyes.
Na dat one dem dey call 'eyi je eyi o je' literally meaning the guy is playing taking a gamble. WHo knows , you might just 'gel'. And if you see a babe you like you dont talk to her there, what are the odds you'll see her again?

In any case, sometimes, you ladies like it when a man summons up courage so it has been known to work b4.
FamilyRe: Can You Marry A More Successful Woman? by jogego(m): 6:55pm On Jun 11, 2005
Seun:
If you are man enough, then no matter how 'big' the madam, you can control her.
Something about this statement makes me very uneasy.  What happens when you're trying to "control" a woman who doesn't want to be "controlled".  Is it divorce, separation, or 'merely' unhappy marriage?

Am I right to assume that women are not babies who need "control" by their husbands?
the above statement is made in an ideal situation. In any case, as my grandmother would say( GOd rest her sould) what you wont take as a rich man, you reject it right from when u r still poor. The success or otherwise of the marraige is made long b4 the wedding. If you dont take time to study and understand who you are getting married to, then you will hastily retreat from the wedding.

Another thing you need to understand is that when I say control, I dont mean that you are marrying a slave. God knows I cant stand a woman who doesnt have her own mind. But when u understand ur partner, you will know how you get her to do what you want.

What about a scenario where you are studying, and your wife is the one paying the bills and maintaining the family?
RomanceRe: Who is a Playa/Player? by jogego(m): 6:38pm On Jun 11, 2005
Pinky:
big question.................
who is a player
Answer
My ex-boyfriend is one
If Pinky's ex is a Player,

does that not mean that

Pinky is a Playee

so pinky has been played tongue
FamilyRe: Can You Marry A More Successful Woman? by jogego(m): 6:34pm On Jun 11, 2005
The fact that she is more successful today does not mean that in a year's time I wont be more successful than her. What happens if I am even more successful than her today and her career takes a leap tomorrow? Will I on that basis divorce her?

If you are man enough, then no matter how 'big' the madam, you can control her. The house is the husband's jurisdiction and it should remain so no matter what.

Broser exploits? Matey, are you still using IE? I havent used IE for going on close to 4 or 5 years now. Opera, Mozilla and lately Firefox are much better security wise. And seems you still are going on about statistics. I definitely know you dont follow tech news closely. If you did, the problesm caused by SP2 were well documented in most IT magazines, PCW, Pcmag, PCWorld all had stories on it. Some went as far a recommending people not to use it.
bad news on the mozilla suite front with the return of the frame injection attack :/
agreed, but am sure you know the attacks on the mozilla suite is less compared to the attacks on IE. The fact that majority of the web browsing public use IE makes IE more attractive to hackers.

Investing is not a father christmas venture. If the return on my capital will be say 15% in Europe, then for me to come and invest in Nigeria, I must be able to make at least this much, which would be very doubtful because of the extra capital needed in putting basic infrastructures on ground. To be honest, I'd say stay in the UK myself.

If you like money, please do yourself a favor and stay in the UK. You will make more and spend more, and you are likely to be able to save more.

Moreover, you are already used to the system over there. There are many things here that are not the way they should be and are likely to frustrate you. Over there, you pay much less for communications and you don't have to worry about basics like electricity and water supply.

It is really a very simple question. Stay in the UK, please.

Well, let's get to know each other better. So many handles or name on nairaland and I was just wondering, why do you use your particular name? For seun, we know thats your name 'gan gan'. I'll kick the ball off.

Jogego is a nickname I have had since when I was about 10 or 11 years old growing up in Lagos. Only my very old friends know the origin of this name and I am keeping it that way tongue. Anyhow, I just decided to use the same name accross all the boards am active on. So most likely if you see any jogego on any other forum, it's me.

what you want ultimately in life will determine your choice. Bottom line, this is a very personal decision and not one to be made on a whim. Would probably help if you draw up a list of pros and cons for both decisions.
