Business › Re: Totalenergies To Exit Nigerian Onshore Oil Business by Jomonix: 9:55am On Feb 10, 2024 |
forgiveness: “We want to divest our share of SPDC, and we are looking to reshape the portfolio. Fundamentally it’s because producing this oil in the Niger Delta is not in line with our (Health, Security and Environmental) policies, it’s a real difficulty,” Patrick Pouyanne,
See them. They didn't take note of the comment above.
The French are not interested in obeying Nigeria laws. They develop these oil wells without taken consideration of the environment. They destroyed the ecosystem will oil spillage and leave like that.
Now that laws are in place to check them, they don't want to continue because they were never interested in keeping the environment in good shape. As I understood it operating responsibly onshore is beyond their control due to extraneous factors. Like sabotage of facilities, kidnapping, etc. But deep offshore things are different. |

Autodidact101: A few minutes ago, residents of Ibadan, particular the Bodija area, reported hearing a loud explosion which shook their buildings, door and windows. People in different parts of Ibadan also reported hearing the sound. Does anyone know the source? Was it a bomb? I am following this. Someone very close to me is affected. Doors broken and windows shattered. Might affect the house structure. |

Politics › Re: Cut All The Expenses Of Every Aspect Of The Government By 60% – Obi Tells FG by Jomonix: 9:32am On Jan 11, 2024 |
Ironbull: Ok, Mr Obi are you the one that asked Tiubu to cut the 60% of his convoy before? So why now giving a command or suggesting what they should do?
Pls the Anambra money you invested on your private business and laundry to Panama we need answer to it or pls kindly stay calm for now.
When you are Anambra governor did you evet listened to anyone advise? If not for Obi no one will be speaking of cost cutting in government. Obi promoted the idea. He implemented it in Anambra state with outstanding results. He should be praised and emulated in saner climes. Above, there is a handover note showing the outcome of his deft handling of governance in Anambra State. The current effort at cost cutting by the BAT government is only of token value and can only impress people who are not thinking about the seriousness of the subject matter. Thats why the government should be called out lest they imagine they can lol us to sleep with their unsatisfactory effort. The discussion must continue despite the distraction from the mob. |

Politics › Re: Rivers Crisis: See Wike's Trap Against Fubara by Jomonix: 9:20am On Jan 10, 2024 |
Melagros: When you think that the political crisis rocking Rivers State is over, you may be far away from the truth! Below are the portfolios of people who wike had arranged to work with or to be on the guard on his successor Fubara:
1. Deputy Governor; Ikwerre woman 2. Speaker House of Assembly: Ikwerre man 3. Chief of Staff to the Governor; Ikwerre man 4. Chairman Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers; Ikwerre man 5. Mayor of Port Harcourt; Ikwerre man 6. State Chief Judge; Ikwerre man 7. Chairman Ikwerre LGA; Ikwerre man 8. Chairman Port Harcourt LGA; Ikwerre man 9. Chairman Emuoha LGA; Ikwerre man 10. Chairman Obio/Akpor LGA; Ikwerre man 11. Chairman GDI; Ikwerre man 12. President NYCN Rivers Chapter; Ikwerre youth 13. Senator, Rivers East; Ikwerre man 14. All the LGA's Chairmen, you must have at least one link or the other with Ikwerre ethnicity of Rivers State before you can rule your LGA. 15. Clark of the House of Assembly; Ikwerre man
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen as a governor, you have these kind of people surrounding you how will you breathe? Or how would you rule comfortably? Is this how our democracy supposed to be? Is it only the Ikwerres supposed to occupy these highly exalted offices in Rivers State? Is Wike a democrat? Only time will tell!
Sometimes some of us blame the governor for being nervous or quiet in the whole saga; this is the reason! To the extent that, when the goings were good between the duo, before the governor receives any visitor to the government house, he must notify wike in Abuja.
Any opinion that can help the governor out of this quagmire is welcomed! Thank you all! Deputy Governor is not Ikwerre. Who do you expect to be chairman of Ikwerre LGA? Correct the anomalies in the list and revert. Also make the list comprehensive because I don't believe that all positions are occupied by only Ikwerre. |

Lots of inconsistency in my opinion. The way you describe yourself i imagine you shouldn't really care about sustaining your family name. By the way the child you end up adopting may face challenges if he or she is raised with you outlook. My advice is either you change and get yourself a partner or you forget the idea of adopting. |
