Security screening? That's rough mehn.

Are you by any chance in the military or any security agency? or are you a Canada Inland applicant?

You know you can request for update on your file from CBSA or CSIS, right?

All the best.
olajide21:
Well, that's inevitable unless God does some miracles. Been on SS since 24/01/18

1. If you can clearly explain the funds inflows you are good to go. Hopefully you have receipts for the transactions.
2. You can use the UK account or a mixture of both UK and Naija accounts.
enigmang:
Hi guys. Please I have a few questions concerning POF.

I have everything I need for EOI: IELTS, WES etc and my score when calculated is above 455. So hopefully I may not have to wait long for ITA.

However I have not been operating my account for a while so 6months will show very little activity. My POF was raised by selling some stuff and I’m worried the bulk funds will not look good.

Q1. Do I need to wait and build activities on my account before I apply or can I go ahead with the EOI

Q2. Can I use a UK bank account (that’s the account that has some activities over the past month. Again will a bulk some into this account look somehow

please Advice .

Great story! It's a real wakanda story! cheesy grin cheesy
@rainazoe. Based on the little I've browsed, there are French immersion programs for kids in most if not all school districts in Canada (here). New Brunswick is officially bilingual. Ontario and Manitoba have high French speaking populations.
Basically, you have options if it is for the kids.

for a family, Montreal has alot going for it. a 2 bedroom apartment here can be as low as 750 cad, 850cad to 1000cad in downtown montreal! in Toronto that can easily cost you 2200cad! cars are also much cheaper here and the city is lovely to raise a family. Anyways let me tell you a story that would help put things in perspective.

Not too familiar with the process. Go through @veleta's posts.

Thank u joo2018, One question, once I upload the documents (in my case masters certificate) to them and pay, does my school still need to send them any document? Or they will contact my school themselves and send me ECA when it's ready?

Like I noted earlier and other people have added, there are easier options. But if you still want to transfer to your hubby, best to do it once and back it with a deed gift/declaration.
Violetdaisy:
Thanks,I have.Didnt fond answer to my question. Would there be a problem if my husband’s statement shows a bulk sum transferred by me?Or do I make the transfer in bits over a period of time?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018:
"If your spouse is coming with you, you can count money you have together in a joint account. You may be able to count money in an account under their name only, but you must prove you have access to the money." https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html

A letter of spousal support from you with the money in your account will solve the problem.

By the way, have you visited page 1?

Bank SOA may be a weak proof by itself but will be an additional proof. Your cell phone bill showing your host's address can serve as a main proof. You can add other proofs if you haven't gotten a permanent address yet.

See list of docs by:
1. CIC
2. Another Govt body: CRA
3. Canadavisa forum
dumprep:
True. Thanks for pointing that out @Tojued. Your head dey there! kiss

For proof to show that the sibling is currently in Canada, if the sibling lives with someone else, will a bank statement suffice for a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc? Thanks.

I think there should also have been a quote lik:; "we have sent your documents to the appropriate office"..
melochic:
Hello all, I raised a CSE last week and received this quote

"Since your file is located at the Canadian visa office in Accra, Ghana, we invite you to also contact them in order to:
Report important changes,
Provide documents,
Add a representative or designated individual on file,
Obtain information regarding the status of your application, or
Enquire on an outcome to a request."

Does it mean that I have to send the update again to the AVO? Also, now that I Know that my file is in AVO what should I expect? any one dealt with AVO please tell me your experience.

I'm guessing he bought the Tbill from the same bank. Some people have submitted only Tbills and gotten PPR. However, note that it is also possible for him to get an ADR for 6 months or 1yr SOA. If that happens, no hiding place.
pyruvateluv:
OK but he is using Tbill certificates not bank reference letter

You can try contacting IRCC using the webform and selecting "Technical Difficulties": https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

Alternatively, you can create a new GCKey and link your old account to new: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=850&top=23

@Wizean and other PPR recipients, congrats. For the rest of us, let’s keep at it.

Please house, I got locked out of my account after signing in and answering 3 security questions incorrectly (I knew the answers but was probably mixing numbers and words).

Can’t see anything on their website to assit me.

Please has anyone experienced this before, how did you resolve it.

Help a sister.

The bank reference letter in CIC format is supposed to show any indebtedness. Not sure if explaining how he will repay loan will help.
pyruvateluv:
Good day fam, a friend of mine who is about concluding his application is confused about something. He took a car loan from his bank sometime ago, although he has sold the car in order to meet up with POF. He wants to know if it's necessary for him to indicate that he has a loan with the bank? If yes, is it also necessary for him to explain how he plans to repay the loan?
Please he sincerely needs help on this as he doesn't want to implicate issues.... Thanks

1-2wks.
However, you will find that WAEC is not the problem. First it may take WES 3-5days to acknowledge receiving the WAEC results. Then another few days to "review documents" before sending for verification.
pweetygeek:
Hi guys, here's an update from waec. I requested my waec to be sent to WES on Oct10 and i received a tracking number from FedEx rep last night to start tracking from 3pm today so if there is any1 on Oct10 table that hasn't gotten any updates yet it's on its way. Pls who knows how long it will take waec to respond to verification request from WES?

'submit the papers': During application, you will attach the adoption papers with your application.
I think partial documentation will stall your application. You are likely going to get ADRs for the complete documentation during processing with a specific deadline. Best to get all ready.
Good luck to you.
DrStrangelove:
Hello Joo2018,

Thanks for the reply. Looks quite straight forward. Now what I want to ask is when u mean 'submit the papers', are u talking of application forms or temporary notices as for her to become my adopted daughter, I was told it ll take a about a year to complete ( Though I feel there might be a fast track since it's a relative adoption). Give or take, we should have received ITA and submitted by April next year (2019). So I don't know if it's ok if they receive partial documentation during the ITA processing stage or IRCC would want to wait till the whole process is done?

Congrats for your Canadian baby.
Ideally, you are to inform them immediately. You are given more than 7days. You can read @Pacowo's timeline (here). He seems to have been given at least 30 days.
Because of Nigeria peculiarities however, you might work on getting a passport for your baby and booking medicals before informing them.

Omzyj:
Hi guys. Please I need your input. God just blessed us with a baby and we want to add him to the application. When is the right time to inform CIC? Is it when all the documents are ready because they will only give us seven days to provide them or inform them now and request for enough time cos of the time medicals, Passport etc?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 7:24pm On Oct 23, 2018
I don't think there is any implication. I think the point is clarity. If you can arrange your explanations clearly in 1500 characters, maybe with help of numbering, then you may use one form. After all, there was only one LOE upload tab in your original application and you were expected to provide all your explanations in one document.
HRgirl:
hello everyone

please i want to ask a quick one. which is better, to raise a CSE for per update/explanation or put in both in one CSE form. Is there any implication of too many cse forms raised? make una no vex abeg i just need a little help

None. Always be guided by your job description and the possible reference letter you will collect from work. If you choose "0", the supervising part must be clear in your reference letter.
happyme31:
Thanks so much.
Please for my NOC, I find that I can apply as an Architectural manager (NOC-0) or as an Architect (NOC- A), as I am currently a supervisor.
I have reviewed both job duties as stipulated and I qualify.
Is there any 'perks' of choosing NOC- 0 instead of A.

Kindly ask WES on Facebook or Twitter. You can update us on the answer.

Fair point. That individual should also consider their target professional bodies.

BTW, does anybody know of other professional bodies apart from APEGA that uses WES? I know PEO does it's own evaluation.
Jasmine17:
Oga read my post well again. It's not talking about IRCC undecided

It's talking about future professional and educational needs. You dont want to start chasing WES transcripts when you have already settled in Canada with your ICES ECA just because you want to register with APEGA.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 7:16pm On Oct 21, 2018
ICES.
Hopefully you will get a good result in your IELTS. If so as @Ifeoma77 advised, you as PA.

happyme31:
Thanks Arc
I am 33, Hubby is 36. Work experience is over 7years. He plans to write IELTS and TES for French language evaluation if he is the P. A.
.But I find that if I am the P. A, he will only need to write IELTS.
So giving these variables, what do you advise?
Also, I am considering ICES instead of WES and IQAS?
What do you advise?

ICES is as valid as WES for IRCC. The only exceptions to WES, ICES and other bodies are Medical and Pharmacist professions.
For employment or professional bodies, some organisations may require ECA. That is different.
Jasmine17:
Just saw this on Canada website. From the search options below it, it seems most of the regulators prefer WES. Please check for your anticipated regulator before jumping to ICES blindly.

"Choosing a designated organization based on your occupation
If you plan to work for a large employer or in a regulated occupation, you may need to have your assessment done by a specific designated organization. Check with your employer or the regulatory body for your occupation for more information."
