Frown, no. Write letter, preferably. You might also submit his work reference letter to strengthen your application. prettysussie: Good evening house,
As regards POF, I'm planning to use PF of my husby and I together with TB certificate. The PF will make up like 60% of the total fund required. Hope CIC will not frown at this? Also, would husby need to write a letter for the use of his PF since I'm the PA?.
Though I'm yet to get ITA, planning is required in this journey. Thank you as you assist with this POF concern. |

His score is too low. Your work experience is not up to the min 1yr required unless you can provide documents for the personal business. Go to the PNP thread for their requirements. wumi247: joo2018. Thanks for your response. He actually had LRSW 777.5 but had 5.5 in writing that is what drop his score. All the years I didn't work I was buying and selling. I was not idle My question is can we use it for provincial express Or I should go write with my biz experience and 7months work experience Is there any other alternatives .Thanks |

I dont know if my less than a year work experience can boost my express entry . I only started working less than a year .I have not really done a proper job ever since I graduated 11yrs ago. For 2, you could have added a letter from your spouse indicating that she is accompanying you and that you will have access to the funds. I'm sure a nice case officer will allow it to fly as you did, but for your peace of mind, you may raise the CSE with the letter. You may also chose to raise it as an affidavit. It all depends on what will give you peace of mind. jergins: Hello House,
I have two questions here,
1. I already submitted my application in August but in September, I went for US Visa interview and I was denied, DO I need to notify CIC by raising CSE or it doesn't matter since the refusal came a month plus after refusal.
2. I used a FD Certificate in my spouse name(accompanying) as part of the POF. Should I have also included Gift Deeds, If Yes, Should I raise CSE to include now. |

Based on this, I think ICES might be the way to go for now. At least until they overwhelmed by orders again and start delaying. WES must be overwhelmed by orders. veleta: Type ICES ECA evaluation and detailed process pops out. However, click on *apply now*, fill in your details, your reference number with A000.....,will be displayed, take note of that then after filling it,scan and upload original B.sc or whatever degree you have in coloured as well as your international passport. There is a placeholder for each document.Of you are married, upload your marriage certificate in the placeholder for*others* this is important to prove the reason for discrepancy for the names in your certificate and international passport.
Go ahead to make payment with debit card as it is accepted notwithstanding their website specifically said only credit card is accepted.Courier fee for Canadian address is $26 while international address is$75.
Then for official transcript, your school *must* send it to ICES through the school's official email address or they can courier it to ICES.Official school email address should not be yahoo or gmail.
I would suggest you follow up with your school so that once the transcript is ready, you can create an ICES acccount, submit then send the reference no to your school to submit the next day or so.
They only send acknowledgement of documents, and completion of ECA to your email or you can log in to your account to see it too.
Once your school sends your transcript to ICES,send them a mail to confirm receipt and you will get response within 48 hrs.Goodluck guys.
The whole process was 5weeks. |

It sometimes takes WES up to 3 days to acknowledge documents. harry41: Thank you friend for your help. My contacts in Unilag finally said they have responded to the verification mail yesterday. Why not? What is your reasoning? Possible work experience NOCs for him will be 0433 or 4313 depending on rank. With the way military officers like accumulating degrees, his points should be high. Janaeroy: Hello Everyone! I want to first appreciate the effort of those taking their time to educate and answer questions asked. I am married to an officer in the army and we have one child. I am a freelance writer with a B.A in literature, his job makes him go all over the place so it's hard for the family to stay together even though we try. Interesting judicial appeal case A - on the need to balance submitting too little and too much information. 1. Here the applicant submitted only documents specified in the documents checklist, but was rejected because the case officer was not convinced by the reference letter. She appealed on the basis of procedural fairness, but the judge sided with CIC. "[12] The Applicant relied on the Document Checklist for Permanent Residence in the Canadian Experience Class (“Checklist”) provided by CIC in submitting her application, expecting that, by complying with the Checklist, there would be no evidentiary issues... ...[14] This Court has further held that, while an applicant may be provided with a list of required documents by the agency accepting the application, the applicant is not limited to supplying only those documents (Qin v Canada (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration), 2002 FCT 815, [2002] FCJ No 1098 at para 7). Here, the Applicant was free to submit T4 tax information slips" Arachchige v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration) 2012 FC 1068 |

To add her as a dependant, you must legally adopt her and submit the papers as part of your application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=343&top=14http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/aod-tool.asphttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/glossary.asp#dependent_child_octDrStrangelove: Hi ALL,
Pls we are currently in the pool and we are a family of 3 (father, mother and daughter). We are hoping to get ITA soon (though we are hoping to get better scores in IELTS to be able to beat the current stagnant cut off range) and I was thinking of including my niece of 11yrs as one of our dependents to make the total number of family to 4. This is because her dad (my elder brother) is late and has been for about 10yrs now. I am practically responsible for her upkeep and to a lesser degree, my extended family. The mother has dropped the the primary upkeep for us to handle and only chips in through efforts when the main things have been settled. My wife is the primary applicant. This will mean higher proof of funds and also in other expenses as i dont mind, so as to give the girl a better life.
Pls what i would want to know is what is needed apart from adding her to the number of dependents in the pool. I would think I would need to get some of letter making me/my wife her guardian or something like that in case of ITA. Pls anybody in the house that has gone thru this can help expantiate.
Thanks |

1. No need to be that concerned. The law states (point 1) that the employment requirements may not be strictly adhered to. Anyway, you are a graduate applying for NOC A. A graduate is a graduate. 2. Plenty of people have gotten PPR with NOC employment requirements mismatch including @Newmum0615 (studied engineering and is in finance) and most people claiming NYSC for points. 3. Case officers are human beings too and may apply added scrutiny if they feel something is off with the application. 4. Added scrutiny doesn't necessarily lead to refusal. Procedural fairness demands that the case officer request for ADR or Interview if he/she is not convinced of the facts of an application. doncorleone: @joo2018 thanks for this enlightening write up. But I would like to ask..
I am actually concerned about your thoughts on point 1 & 2, because I have an engineering degree both BSc & MSc. I also have and claimed 2yrs experience for NOC 4163 which falls under Skill A. Is there a possibility that there may be additional scrutiny on my application? |

Interesting discussion earlier between @ramj and @iamkunski. I decided to do a little bit of research before contributing. To recap: @ramj wrote that "be informed that any work experience before min requirement for NOC is invalid...any work experience before the NOC's minimum educational requirement does not counts" @iamkunski accepted that experience gotten during full time study does not count but quoted from here: "Note: The applicant does not need to demonstrate that they meet the “employment requirements” listed in the NOC occupational description." On this basis, he advised @JustCare who asked: "After my secondary school, I taught in a school for 2 years. Right now I'm about to be called for NYSC. Can I apply with that two years experience while also tendering my BSc as my highest educational qualifiecat?" Points to note: 1. 3 NOC main groupings for FSW are: Skill Type 0 (zero): management jobs, Skill Level A: professional jobs that usually call for a degree from a university and Skill Level A: professional jobs that usually call for a degree from a university ( here). 2.The regulation itself ( here): "(3) For the purposes of subsection (1), a skilled worker is considered to have experience in an occupation, regardless of whether they meet the employment requirements of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, if they performed (a) the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification; and (b) at least a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all the essential duties. 3. Experience of a fellow Nler @DaddyTheFather ( here) who was given an ADR to provide basis of being able to work in NOC 1111 (audit) as he has an engineering degree. My thinking: 1. The Act clarifies the basis upon which work experience should be assessed even If the minimum requirements are not met. It seems reasonable that that if subsections (a) and (b) above are met, then the work experience will be accepted by CIC. 2. It is also reasonable to believe that an application will be given greater scrutiny and may be delayed when an applicant's credentials are vastly different from the employment requirements of the NOC. 3. A Secondary/High School certificate is vastly different from a Diploma, a Degree or a PG Degree and so it might be difficult to present a Secondary School certificate as the basis for an NOC A or B. My 2cents to @JustCare: Don't try it. You will be required to put in your EE profile the date you became qualified to work in the job. I highly doubt it will fly if you put Secondary School certificate as your qualification for a teaching job. Teaching jobs are NOCs A and B. Finish your NYSC first to get the minimum 1yr working experience required. During your service, you can plan what to do to increase your points and make your Canada dream a reality. |
