Eeyah, sorry. Violence should be an acceptable reason.
BC's call response is terrible. Send a mail ASAP and go to their office tomorrow if the violence has eased off.

Pls do and record what you can. You can attached a LOE to explain the other info you don't have because you have lost contact with the said siblings.
ottawasenators:
RamJ,

I just noticed that we may also have this issue post ITA : some perceived difficulties in sourcing details of some siblings

Now, is it compulsory to include them all based on the above? if we dont, what happens?

1. No noticeable drawback. Your choice.
2. Use it like that. July is still nine months away. Once it is 6 months to expiry, you can renew it and update your profile.
prost80:
Hello All,

Again congratulations to all ITA clinchers.

I too just clinched my ITA. I have read the first page so I have a good idea what to do

I have a few questions, for ITA is there any difference paying for only the application fee now and the visa fee payment later or both payments made immediately. I will like to know if there is no drawback in this because the way money de flow , na to manage am oh

Also My international passport expires in july 2019 should I change it now or wait and how do I do that now , what difference will it make on processing and visa collection.

Any other advice will be appreciated

It will end in praise

"...............In terms of permanent residents, those who apply to be immigrants to Canada—that includes resettled refugees who are selected to come to Canada—the government announced last year a three-year plan for immigration levels growth. The plan grows to 310,000 permanent resident admissions this year. Next year, it goes to 330,000 permanent resident admissions, and then in 2020 to 340,000.

Despite that increased growth, the applications demand outstrips the space afforded in that levels plan in virtually all categories. I'll give one example. In our express entry application management system—that's the system that manages our high-skilled economic programs—we have a pool of candidates that sits at about 90,000 today. Every two weeks, there's a round where there are invitations to apply. That's a round of about 3,000, but there are twice the number of profiles filled out every two weeks. You can see that the demand is significant for our immigration pathways................"

Bros......there is still time. We dey the same boat.

1. The draw was on October 29, 2018 at 16:36:30 UTC i.e. 5:36pm Nigerian time. So it is not yet 24hrs.
2. The instruction says: " Invitations may be issued under these Ministerial Instructions during the period beginning on October 29, 2018, and ending on October 30, 2018." End of October 30 Ottawa time is 5:00am Nov 1 here.

I get the stress, jare.

Guys, watch this video for an expose on the Canadian experience requirement. Very relevant to us as we hustle and prepare to hustle for jobs.

A bit long and the cameraman didn't focus on the slides, but very useful. Going back to school is not the only way to get the Canadian experience. Dr Lionel Laroche is a French immigrant based in Canada.

Big congrats to all ITA recipients and those who got IELTS writing score upgraded.

Pls guys I have as question. . . I have got an e-visa to New Zealand but as my Canada PR plans were materializing, I didn't travel again and I withdrew from the course I wished to pursue. My question is, will it be necessary to upload the evisa in my PR application, considering that I did not travel nor have NZ stamps on my passport? Moreso as the visa isnt on the passport.

If the application has not started as seems to be the case here (he has not gotten BIL), both processing fee and RPRF will be returned.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1220&top=4
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/refund.asp
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/fees/refunds.html

That is the whole point of the R10 completeness check, to cross-check that all documents are available before forwarding to the applicable visa office for processing.
ontarioissauga:
OK. So processing fee of 550cad is? I know RPRF is.

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 12:27pm On Oct 29, 2018
That sucks.

Not sure if any appeal is possible. He should get his fees refunded though.

"Incomplete applications
If an application is found to be incomplete, the processing office must reject the application by

promoting and then cancelling the application in GCMS with the application status reason listed as “incomplete application”;
noting in GCMS the reason(s) for rejecting the application; and
repaying all fees associated with the application (e.g., the cost recovery fee and the right of permanent residence fee, as applicable).
When an application is rejected as incomplete, the applicant must submit a new Express Entry profile through their online account to be considered for any future rounds of invitations."

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html#s02

The example you noted happened around Janaury in one of the older threads. Can't really do a thorough search now, but I remember it was her child's passport biodata page. I don't think her application was re-opened.

For refunds, check:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1220&top=4

Newmum0615:
A colleague's application was just cancelled sad

After all my guidance and the well packaged application, turns out he omitted the bio-data page of his passport when he was uploading. He forgot to add that important detail and only uploaded visa and entry/exit stamps. He did it at home, so there was no way for a second eye to vet before uploading. E pain me gaan.
He didn't even notice it after submission to quickly raise a CSE.
I am getting rusty with this process, I remember someone was refused cos of something similar, but can't remember if her application was reopened or not and if she was refunded all the fees she paid.
Any ideas what he should do? I no even get strength to think.
