After suffering the wait for a different country's PR for a year
We decided to go the Canada route as another option

IELTS - August 2018 (LSRW 8.5,8.5,8,7.5)
ECA - September 2018 (B.tech and ACCA Diploma in accounting and business assessed as one semester ) claimed 2 or more certificates
ITA - October 2018
AOR - November 2, 2018
MEP/BCL - December 3, 2018
Biometrics done - December 5, 2018
PPR - January 19, 2019

To be on the safe side use the blackmarket rate to do your conversion(you can use abokifx). Going by that, its about 280-295. Multiply that by the 12475 and see if you can make up the balance(if I were you, I would use the upper limit of 295). By so doing whether there is an increase or not, you are safe.

Oanda.com and XE.com will give you a lesser rate though

I have a B.Eng in petroleum Engineering and Msc in information Technology Engineering (Both Nigerian Degrees), I have 1 year experience with NYSC--physics teacher, 3 years experience as a Web developer (self taught) , worked with a friend in his IT startup (just 3 of us) for 2 years. we did contracts mostly and pay didn't come in regularly every month ( He is currently in the process of registering the business name with CAC). However I left to pursue my M.Sc in 2017. After my Msc, I got CCNA and I'm currently working as a Network administrator (2 months).
I want to build a career as a network engineer and possibly advance into cybersecurity or analytics.

Q--> Would you advise me to go with noc 2281--Computer network technicians. Despite not having up to one year experience or continue with
Web development noc 2175--Web designers and developers, (which is still a side gig for me). Or use NYSC which can be easily substantiated.

NB..i checked the CRS tool, Maxing out my Ielts will put me on 456 with 1 year experience and 481 with 3 years experience.
I am weary of using web developer noc because there are no legal documents (Payslip, Appointment letter, certification etc) to back it up.

If I were you, I'd go with NYSC physics teacher and sleep well at night

Being objective is key. Someone can't say they do random marking and think that's not defamation. Am not saying people don't fail but really not worth condemning for. I try to be logical

It's so painful and he says it with so much certainty. No polls, no sample size, no experiment. Sheer rumours. When we still have people who passed with BC and some who failed with MOD, if anything, I believe the extra preparation one has made prior to the switch to MOD is actually responsible for the success and not the mere move to MOD.

What's the basis for random marking? It's not like you'll pay your staff half when they mark randomly, from the business side, why would you pay salaries for a shoddy job? How will you even have that round table meeting, 'let's mark people down for the fun of it'.

I think this BC na scam thing is cringe worthy. And yes one can get 999 and still get a 6.5 in writing because it is totally different. You're scored on a totally different parameter, you read facebook comments and even some posts here and you understand why someone can score 6.5 in writing repeatedly.

I strongly think this is subtle defamation if you keep repeating that BC is a scam, I mean people switch to MOD and still fail, what then is the reason behind that?

Hi guys, please I'd like to seek your opinion on a bothering issue. WES emailed and said my ECA report would be ready on the 19th of December, considering that time of the year I don't think there would be another draw until the middle of January 2019. my birthday is middle of January and that would see me lose 5 points in my EE profile and if that happens I just might be under the 440 threshold we've seen all through this year.

I am thinking of simulating the ECA number and update my EE profile so I can perhaps meet the last few draws for the year and stand a chance to get ITA. Its been a long wait this year to obtain transcript and certificate from my school and have WES take 4 months to accept all documents and still not meet the mark.
What are your thoughts? Please advise and thanks.

This is risky because ECA report comes in a week before or after the proposed date

What happened?

So I called them on Friday and got a date booked for this week and she asked for my email address so she'd send me a mail. Fast forward to today I call for a million times and no one picks. So I send an email asking for confirmation and the earliest date available somehow turns to next Monday.

I sent another mail stating that I already had a confirmed slot and she replies with a new dat for next two weeks!!!!!!! Unto 'if you like don't take it now, here's the new date'. So I sent a mail again and there has been no reply. I don't blame them...
