.........Aisha Buhari Must Face Prosecution For Ordering Arrest, Assault Of Nigerian Student Over Tweet – Police Service Commissioner, Najatu

The spokesman, Lawan Adam, said any arrest by the police out of the Jigawa command must be communicated to the police in Jigawa before it would take effect.

He said in this particular incident, the command had yet to be communicated on any arrest by the police outside the state.

Lol, i agree that nobody is above the law, but who will arrest and put him in prison? For this Nigeria

I think only the president has the power to order the arrest of security chiefs in Nigeria, our judiciary isn't that strong yet.

This is more like a pipedream and comedy show.
Well, he ought to step down. Or the president ought to ask him to do so so he can be arrested and taken to prison. Failure to do, the president is to blame.

Agriculture › Re: Which Wild Animal Could Have Ripped Off The Neck Of Our Goat Like This? (Video) by JuanDeDios: 10:28pm On Nov 27, 2022
brandsoncharlie:
I know the environment his farm is located is an habitat for those kind of wild animals killing his goats.
But the way you said most Nigerians don't know what's called "Habitat" is surprising, because of course that's the normal norm anyone will see especially in the forest when you don't put in measures to avoid such.
Not sure I get you. But I was referring to the fact that in animal threads on NL people are bound to mention alligator, anaconda, Komodo dragon and others not found here. This is the simple import of my comment and nothing more.

brandsoncharlie:
What is HABITAT? ..
Habitat = Area of distribution. It's the natural environment where an animal is found. For example, Komodo dragons or alligators are not found Africa - meaning Africa is not their habitat.

I don't think people know much about HABITAT around here with the way the just mention animals.
Romance › Re: Newly Wedded Nigerian Army Officer In Trouble For Posting Wedding Video by JuanDeDios: 10:19am On Nov 27, 2022
abdullahiyuuf6:
I applaud the Nigerian army for sticking and adhering to its norms and ethics.Otherwise the military will be rendered unorganized and undisciplined just the way the civilian corrupt system has disorganised the public civil service and rendered it a corrupt and most undisciplined government machinery the country had ever known. The average Nigerian most especially the youth of today do not seem to understand the difference between a society without proper ethics and norms and a properly organised society with ethics simply because most of them were born in an era that corrupt politicians are having sway.To most of them corrupt and unethical acts are what they have seen from the time they were born and so to them these are normal acts. The army to me should go further by completely dissecting its members from the social media otherwise the new officers will end up patronising the social media so much that the service will be affected by the lies and lack of etiquette of the social media practice.Long live the federal republic of Nigeria.
The Nigerian Army has ethics and discipline? Then why do their soldiers go on the streets to harass, frog-jump and whip civilians?

I watched this on Channels TV last night. All I could see written all over Tinubu was the fear of Obi. It's a disgrace for him to speak about a fellow candidate in such manner.
All the while he has been talking incoherently Obi has never mocked him for once, but watch out for Obi's response. You will see that Tinubu just made a huge mistake attacking him that way. Soludo is still regretting his own gaffe.
It is. He shouldn't have done this.
Family › Re: My Mother Wants To Remarry by JuanDeDios: 9:53pm On Nov 25, 2022
wirinet:
If the man did not make a will, how then can she argue the house belongs to her? No Nigerian culture gives a deceased property solely to the wife. children, particularly male children take precedence in sharing of properties.

The court (magistrate) will rule according to the culture of the deceased husband.
Sebi that's what I was saying? If it's the Edo or Igbo area, the boy will have the upper hand. In the Yoruba area, things may be different. No, the wife won't solely own the house, but even in the Edo and Igbo areas, I doubt the boy can kick her out. However, here, we have a new factor in the equation - she wants to bring a man in. Hmm. That will change things in favour of the boy if he's of adult age. Interesting case. Interesting case. smiley

Note that if the man did not make a will and they had a court marriage, common law principles will be applied. If the house was built during the marriage, she can make a strong case that it's her house too since she contribute to its building - even if it's just food she was cooking for him and cleaning his shoes.
Family › Re: My Mother Wants To Remarry by JuanDeDios: 8:51pm On Nov 25, 2022
fineboynl:
Did your father build the house? If yes the house belongs to you and she has no right to send you away. Stop touching her things or money. Stay put there but spend yoir money for feeding and other things don’t use her things.

If she plans to bring a man into that house never allowed it. Destroyed the marriage and give reasons why it shouldn’t hold. Except they plan to rent house. Never allowed that in that house.
Did the man make a will giving the house to him? If no, this will depend on the culture of the place. Note she can always argue it's her house since she and the man built it. If he's of adult age and the mom decides to kick him out, I doubt he will carry the day in court.

Unconstitutional. If you feel you can reach voters and win without going for debates, that should be acceptable. No to dictatorship. This post is not in support of those who refuse to attend debates. Debates are good and every candidate ought to see it as his duty to attend to educate and inform the electorate.

This is nonsense. Exams are meant to test knowledge of THE COURSE, not students' ability to remember events that took place during lecture - unless that is related to the course. For example, they're education students and there's a course about how lecture interruptions affect learning. This is a cheapening of exam, and one is shocked as to what that once-great university has been reduced to.
