justmenoni: @VicJustice how about if he had eben on the local level for long? if i may ask you a simple question, why do you and justwise have issues against nigerians trying to seek for greener pastures? In as much as i appreciate some of your efforts on the forum some of your post and response seems just to harsh,if you are a visa consular for one of the western countries am sure no Nigerian will get a visa...i beg lets try to encourage others,if you feel someone is taking a drastic help about going overseas why not just ask for their email and send them a message over there rather than been mean to them on here..You know some people here have friends who knows their ID's so lets be our brother's Keeper's,we all know most of the Nigerians abroad right now starting from years back aint genuine when applying their visa for the first time except the students, lottery winners and all that.so please and please just a piece of advice.
Please tell me what was hash or wrong with VicJustice's question?

Cavenchy: Thanks once again to justwise and all the experts on here, y'all r heading for the top.
Ok now check out this scenario and tell me what you think. If someone applies for tier4 general visa and attached a bank statement(details of cash held for 28 days) with a closing balance higher than the required maintenance funds. Should the money remain untouched throughout the period the visa is being assessed/processed by the ukba? or can one be allowed to withdraw during the visa assessment period as long as it doesn't fall below the required maintenance?
Thanks
No problem with that.

As a company owner, you could use it to proof your tie-to-Nigeria, in that case, you will not only include your company's account but you also need to include your tax certificate, savings account/personal account where the cost of the trip will come from, but the money in the company's account will not be used, you only using it to proof that you have a strong tie-to-Nigeria.

If your company is not in a good financial health then don't include it in your visa application.

Billyonaire: So back to the thread, USA policies as it relates to Nigeria, as of late, has not been fair, from incessant warnings to their citizens of insecurities, to reducing purchases of Nigerian crude, to freezing account of embassies and the refusal of visa issuance to even our stars. They are also not unconnected with campaign of calumny, CIA stated that Nigeria will cease to exist by 2016, these are all mind control mechanisms that does not show they care about the unity of Nigeria, whatever displeasure they have with the name Nigeria, should be heard, we as a people, need to understand that we are unloved by the West, this has always been glare with their IMF and WorldBank policies of keeping us perpetually on credit facilities to ruin our economy. America doesnt like Nigeria. Thats my personal opinion.
. . . but that is true, Nigeria has security problem. . fact! Or have you being living in another planet?

deevick246: @ All,
There is a massive availability of JULY appointment dates at the Lagos Embassy now. There is 2nd to 31st July,2012 available dates right now. If you have a date that you feel is not favourable to you quickly go and cancel it and then schedule a favourable date for yourself.
This is the kind of spirit i encourage here, this will help alot of people battling with dates.

Thanks for the info.

They should rathe mind their own bizness who in the world can freeze their own account. When they choose to spend billions of dollars to build weapon to destroy the wolrd? And that's why they continued making enemy everyday, they are pretenders and rome was not built in a day
If you concentrate your stealing within Nigeria then US will not put their nose on it, but when you want to use their banking system for your corrupt practises then they will step-in, get it?

Billyonaire: Young man, I have withdrawn over $50k in USA before, you just have to book for it and explain what the funds is used for, its high time you guys stop adoring USA, go to China, go to Singapore, these places or economically more vibrant than USA, China is ruling the world economy and I dare say, USA is hating Nigeria and Nigerians.
Who do we ask? I take that as made-up story.

Can i just remind you that US is not China or Singapore, they have different banking rules and laws.

Billyonaire: I see, I thought our embassy is "sovereign" and Nigerians who are applying for the Green Card under option EB-5 can route funds securely to investments to avoid being scammed by greedy Americans, is this not within the law to do so ?
Yes embassy is sovereign but that doesn't mean they are above the law of a host country.

kunlewoye: It says there that the deduction applies if the Tier 4 (General) student will be staying in university or college
arranged accommodation; think it's simple enough....and from 167 as shown below it states succinctly on what terms you would be claiming the 10 points for maintenance or what do you think? still not convinced?

Documents Needed to Claim Points for Maintenance (funds)
167. To claim 10 points for Maintenance (funds) a Tier 4 (General) student must show
evidence that he/she:
• has paid all or part of his/her course fees and up to £1,000 towards accommodation fees to
his/her Tier 4 sponsor
; and/or
• is receiving official financial sponsorship; and/or
• has enough money to cover his/her remaining course fees and living costs, if any.
The reason why i keep stretching this issue is to avoid misleading people who come here to get information. In that material you copied and pasted here, there was no mention of private landlord, there was no place it stated that money paid to private landlord will not be accounted as maintenance money.

There is no way you will be able to pay for private accommodation, get tenancy agreement while you are still in Nigeria without student visa hence the reason why private accommodation was not mentioned there.

To be able to get tenancy agreement, any genuine landlord will like to see your student visa, passport CAS/student ID and in most cases a guarantor. All these are not possible if you are still in Nigeria trying to apply for visa.

With student accommodation you don't need to show all that because merely getting an admission solves all that problem.

This is why paying for accommodation is not one of the core requirements for student visa, as long as you have your maintenance money in your account then you are fine.

everystep87: Yes i used my salary account, plus my 3 other accounts making 4 banks statement submitted.
Was the N1.3million from your salary or you paid money into that salary account making it N1.3million?
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 5:12pm On Jun 17, 2012
everystep87: Hello All,

Trust you are doing great.

I applied for a UK visa (Tourist) but I was refused visa based on the ground that, I have insufficient amount in my account if they remove N480, 000 from the bank statement i submitted.

I applied with a statement of account of N1.3 million. What surprised me was that, they say the amount is insufficient for 1week tourist visit to the UK.

I included my company’s introduction letter, hotel reservation, annual leave letter, marriage certificate and pictures, bank statement of N1.3million, company’s ID card, landed property inherited, my personal landed property too, rent receipt to show i have other source of income, letter of consent from my wife that shes aware am travelling for holiday e.t.c.

I first applied in April 2012, i was denied based on the ground that N600, 000 deposited into account on the April 6days before applying was suspicious

I re-apply on in May, 2012 which i explained how the money came about, that i withdraw it from my account in may and deposited same day into another acct of mine and i was refused again based on finance aspect again. The ECO state that, 150, 000 was deposited into my acct on 2nd of May and 200, 000 on the 5th of May that he doubt if this money are available for me.

In my form, i filled that i own inherited property from my late mum which i collect rent from

and this money are rent paid. I supported my claim with rent receipts and document of the property inherited and own by myself.

Am seeking for your advice on what to do. I dont want to re-apply and still turn down for the same thing the 3rd time.

I will glad to hear from you soon.

I got advice from people saying that i should invovle a lawyer to write them, some say i should go to their website and seek for administrative review, some say i should get a family or friends abroad to send me invitation letter and i should apply with that while some say i should stay away from them for six months since i have been refused 2wice in 2months. I wil be glad the house CANDID oppinion. I work with one of the Multi-national organisation as a customer service officer.

Thanks
Did you use your salary account?
