I thought UKVI takes the application fees but the other services you pay for goes to TLS, I stand to be corrected tho. These are other services that are optional that TLS offers to applicants.

Just got an offer from university of Derby September intake, please anyone that has experience should advise if I should go for it or wait out. They offer the cheapest fees for the course I'm going for but I couldn't find much information on their payment plan.

If you have any idea of how their payment plan works and the availability of student jobs there, please help

So this is not a regular occurrence and I pray to get answers here as I am physically and mentally drained. We (family of 4) applied for visa, paid for ihs and visa fee using 2 different cards. One of the card's holder is in the uk, ( a pounds card ) while the other is in Nigeria. However, we cancelled our applications before biometrics for reasons best known to us. Yesterday morning, the card holder in the uk said she was refunded all the money we paid using her card. While the one in Nigeria, said she hasn't received the money, sent screenshot of her account balance claiming she hasn't been refunded. Now, mails were not sent regarding the refunds by UKVI. Please is it possible for the one with banks card to have received since yesterday morning and the one with Access Visa signature card (Access Bank card) not to have received? Please anyone witnessed or heard of this before? @justwise and co please help ease my mind. Thanks

Stay away from oxford brookes. After paying £3000 deposit, they will demand for another £6000 deposit before you register to the school over there. I know some that is stranded in UK now he applied for jan2022 intake

My sister got a mail that her cas has been updated to used , confirming her visa application was accepted. Abeg like how many days more can we expect to see the visa .

Thank you. I called them actually as regards my husband's application and I was made to understand that a decision has been made and he will receive his pick up mail soon. I am optimistic that the email my son received was due to a human error and all will be sorted soon.

Hello House,

I am a student on tier 4 visa, already in the UK. My husband and son applied as my dependants, an email was sent this morning, stating that my son was refused and the reason being that his father does not hold a valid UK visa and he has not applied for a valid UK visa, when they have both applied together.
There is no word yet as regards my husbands application. They gave us an option of an administrative appeal for my son which we are going to do.
Anyone ever experienced this? Is this an oversight from their end? Please advise on what to do.

You can only make use of your brother’s account if you applied that you are being sponsored and you will need a consent later from him. but if you applied self sponsorship then he has to send the money to your account.

All my moms chidren passport arrived about 3 years ago and most of us have relocated to the Uk doing well and working in good tech jobs.

Infact we don dey get third generation Uk citizens sef. hahahahaha

Thank God say we hustle am out naija don hard. And you guys should do however you can to get a second passport it makes lot of things easier.

We talk about fees and financial stuff a lot on these threads (here n student), I think we need to talk more about how to manage some situation too (situations like this). A lot of people are traveling for the first time and there is this old mindset that whites are not nice or racist and all that. This old tales make people hold things inside instead of asking for help.

If I were to be in this situation, I would have knocked on the next room to explain my situation and pass the night with the person. I don’t mind knocking on 5 doors till I get someone to say “ok you can come in”.

It’s a very painful story. Anytime I think about the parents I just get sad. If you ever find yourself in any uncomfortable situation, just ask for help from anyone around you, forget about authorities at that time. You will be surprised that the oyibo you think are racist secretly wants to have a black friend. A lot of them want one now. Ask for help from your next door neighbors, your neighborhood. It’s better to ask for help than suffer. People are nicer now. Fewer racist this days, thanks to TikTok and others that have connected the world with fun and jokes.

The guy story pain me well well. Can’t imagine the parents, from having high hopes to no hopes. Very painful.

I might be wrong but I don’t think it’s UKVI that is supposed to refund us, it is TLS contact that sold those services, tens of thousands of people paid for both priority, high priority and superiority services that weren’t rendered, and it is been two months since then, and we are yet to get any form of reasonable response from them. Another problem is they don’t respond to mails at all, I have been sending mails for two months now.

Please can I get an idea of monthly electricity bill.
Heating in one room always on (regulates itself though), fridge always on (regulates itself as well), electric cooker, microwave oven, electric jug, laptop and phone. No TV even.
Mine is £170. Scared of what it will become post increment.
