chatinent: I also understand perfectly what 1stGenAmerican was saying. I think I really am waiting for the footage he will send which will be a ground for adjudication here when I post.
My only care is the harsh sentence. Which footage are you referring to here? I hope its not footage of the rape? If its then i suggest you think carefully else you will land yourself in hot water. The victim in question here is 13 yrs of age so remember that |

1stGenAmerican: The reason that the judge “threw the book at him” (which almost never happens) was for his blatant lack of remorse directly after the crime and during the trial, arrogance, and his victim-blaming.His attitude and demeanor during the trial was as if he was above the American Justice system and he treated it like a total joke and even the most violent American criminals don’t do that. Lastly, the court felt that since he had no remorse and blamed the victim, he would do this to another child if ever he was free again.
He was not sad or even remorseful until he the sentencing. Totally understand that, |

chatinent: Nice question.
Here were the sentences:
• Rape: life. • Simple Battery: a year. • Child molestation: 20 years. • Terrorist threats: five years. • Aggrav sexual battery • False imprisonment: ten years. • Aggrav sodomy. • Aggrav assault.
More to that, here is my point: if he pleaded was guilty as postulated by a comment above, why did the judge say he was without remorse? At least, pleading guilty as claimed is one step to being remorseful which should lower the jail term.
I understand he might have said some things out of fear and all that, even when he wanted to be deported to serve a jail term here.
I do not support those crimes at all! I only want justice served to the right person.
Sth to reason on: the attorneys he consulted seem to be fighting on the inconclusive results, and unfair hearing thing.
I spoke with him. He strongly says he isn't the one. At least, he wouldn't lie to a lawyer...would he?
I also understand perfectly what 1stGenAmerican was saying. I think I really am waiting for the footage he will send which will be a ground for adjudication here when I post.
My only care is the harsh sentence. I guess that depends on the behaviour of the accused during the investigation and court hearing. If you lied, frustrated the effort of the court and drag the victim through awful experiences only to plead guilty at the last minute then the judge will come down on you with heavy sentence. Asking to be sent to Nigeria to serve the jail sentence is another way of saying that you are guilty of the crime. |

ivolt: I understand the conviction for rape but the others should have been seriously challenged. I was shocked when I saw "terroristic threats" as part of the charges against him. They threw the book at him like the mafia lords of yesteryears. I agree with you but though when you look at the definition you will sort of understand why that was included in the charge. The sentencing is way too harsh and should be challenged but here is the prob though.. can the op plead for sentencing leniency while at the same time claiming innocent of the crime? |

ivolt: I think he was convicted of 3 different capital crimes which tells a lot about his defense team or his own behavior during trial. It seems as if though his defence team did not fight hard enough for a lesser jail term or maybe he did not work well with them. I read where he mentioned something about changing 3 defence teams |

chatinent: You hold a JD, I can see why you are so certain..and that's because you have access to the records. I'm beginning to get fed up.
Permit me to ask some questions. Did the person in the footage match with Bar's? Did he agree he was the one? Did he agree to the crime? 1stGenAmerican: Where did you get that information because it is not true. The footage was never withheld. In fact after being shown the footage, Mr. Bah signed an affidavit acknowledging that it is he who appears in the footage.
Additionally, the police were never at liberty to withhold the footage because it was never their property. It originated as the property of the complex.
Because it depicts a minor, it will never be released to the public as per policy in the US.
I truly hope no one believes that Mr. Bah was tried and convicted without the unredacted footage being shown to all parties involved in the proceedings. |

1stGenAmerican: Exactly, which is why you are my favorite Mod…regardless of the topic, you always examine the facts! I want to ask you though..why was he given such a heavy jail sentence? I mean 3life sentences + 76 years is really over the top. I understand the severity of the offence but why not one life sentence or 76yrs? |
Crime › Re: Follow Up: Nigerian Locked Up for the Case of Rape —The Walk, The End. by justwise(m): 9:07pm On Oct 09, 2021 |
1stGenAmerican: Sure! I can answer that.
The documents I posted DOES say that 2 sets of DNA were found. One belonged TO THE VICTIM and the other belonged TO YOU.
I am sitting here watching you rile these people up because most don’t have the capacity to understand what those documents state.
ANYONE in the US with a JD that is reading WILL NOT HELP YOU because the more you talk, the more we can tell that you are purposely being deceptive. There is no way on Gods green earth that a jury will find someone guilty when the DNA presented in court belongs to someone not related to the crime. That may happen in Nigeria but NOT HERE.
The people still believing you and asking me questions prove that they are clueless about the US Justice System .The Nigerian consulate will not help you because you lied to them. The person attending your Pretrial hearings stopped going and started ignoring you when the evidence and YOUR statements showed them you were lying.

ModelLook: All of you that are in the UK, I greet you all from Nigeria. How is life in the UK? Okay now. I have some questions for you.
For those that are working and schooling, how are you coping with the two?
What is the possibility of completing your Tution Fees after paying initial deposit here in Nigeria especially if you are going for a two year master degree with placememts?
Note that initial deposit is just for the first year and it's like between 2k-3k GBP.
For example, your schools fees is let's say 12,000 GBP each for two years. And you have to still pay rent, maintenance, transport and upkeep included.
What kind of job can a student do to be able to handle this.
Is it the same 20hr job of 10 GBP per hour that will cater for this. Can it really? (I have done my research on partime job pay)
Is this possible?
I don tire
Abeg UK Nigerians, I need ur input here. Looking at the scenario you stated i will suggest that you think long and hard before coming to the UK. To be able to pay remaining tuition fees , rent, bills and feeding you need to be making about £1500 a month at least Minimum wage is £8.91 ph and not £10 as you stated though some companies pay £10. I suggest you come with your fees and maintenance money for the first one year then take your time to work and raise money for second year |

wirinet: That's why we are different. No two people think or reason the same way. It's called a fetish or sexual deviation. Some don't enjoy regular sex, but prefers sex with underage girls (R. Kelly), sometimes underage boys (Michael Jackson - suspected), sometimes rape sex (both man and woman).
A combination of poverty, illiteracy and brainwashing. Religion has been used to brain wash the poor helpless illiterate masses since the beginning of time.
No be juju. Its manipulation and expoitation. This is the reason why politicians in collaboration with the clergy/priests always make sure the keep the masses poor. Exactly why you have many mega rich clergymen while members are poor but keep sowing seeds in return for blessings |

takimsipho: The op might not be innocent of other crimes doesn't mean he is guilty of what he is accused of. You see, you didn't grow up in a third world country and experienced the struggle that comes with it and the dreams of any person in diaspora. I can't imagine a guy being in a foreign country for the first time and raping a girl just few weeks into his stay. It just doesn't make sense. Acquaintance rape is the highest form of rape compared to stranger rape. Does he have a record for such behavior? 3 life sentences plus 72 years is too harsh. White boys who shoot up the whole school or malls don't get such penalities. We are not defending him, but spending the rest of your life in prison is what makes us sympathize with him. He will never see his homeland again. You don't know what that feels like. Catholic priests do worse but are let off with slap on the wrist I agreed with your last point and for the fact the sentences are too hash, i also think he should appeal for reduced sentence but i disagree with other points you made. i don't know how long he was in USA before committing the crime but timeline doesn't matter here, a rapist is a rapist |

hamjola: @ I have taken time to go through your story and the news about the judgement from different social media . The evidences against you were overwhelming and you pleaded for mercy and opportunity to be deported to Nigeria which was denied.
One thing I picked from the court case that led to your hard sentences was that you weren't Remorseful about the act.Seems you don't know the implications and gravity of your offense even if it's a case of Mistaken Identity as you claimed.
Now, you seek help but you haven't even state your own side of the story. What really happened on the said date?
There is a slim chance that you are innocent. But there are also credible information that you indulged in illegal activities. I checked through some of the places you were living before moving to Georgia. You were listed as a drug dealer and Fraudster in Houston. I learnt you were formerly in Japan before crossing over to USA.You also indulged in crime there too.
The jury had conducted a thorough search on your person from various sources and the result led to the hard sentences.
I have a feeling you know the said Minor and probably she was your Girlfriend and you introduced her to drug. Her parents found out that you were a bad influence on their daughter. A close friend of yours raped her and they made you the fall guy. You are the only one that knows what really happened on the said date of the incidence.
Am not judging you on your illegal personality but it would have helped you if you have had a clean record. People would have stormed the court on the day of judgment to testify to your good conduct.
Tell us what happened or rather asked the Adedoja himself to say it the way it was.Maybe, just maybe some of us might be able to pull some strings to appeal your judgment. There are so many human rights activists that would step in.
Just my 1 cents opinion. You were making sense up until that point, how on earth did you arrive at that? |

So she's currently in the UK but she wants to apply for visa for her daughter and she wants me to bring her daughter with me when I'm coming to the UK. P.S. I'm not related to her in anyway. She's just a friend. Is this possible? Can I travel with someone's child even with a written permission from her mother? 1.How about her father's written permission or court document expressly stating that the mother has sole custody of the chid? 2. Did the mother include the child's name during her visa application? 3. Do you have her birth certificate? Child safety and welfare are taking seriously in the UK than that of an adult, you will face serious questions at the airport in Nigeria even more in the UK. So get those documents ready and ask the money to keep her phone handy because they may need to call her to answer some questions |
