Evelyn20: Good morning guys, i know this situation has been discussed already, but i just need to know if someone has actually tried processing his/her visa without the visa assurance fee this year. My agent asked me to pay 1200 dollars. i already have the invitation letter, i didn't use an agent for this. i went through a student. is it actually possible to do this on my own and get the visa successfully? He is a sure agent,my friend i started the process with paid the money and her visa is already out. but i cant afford this fee in this economy. thank you Go ahead and apply without paying those thieving Nigerian agents who is taking advantage of Nigerians, some of these fraudulent agents are in this thread promoting this fraud, claiming that you will not get a visa without paying sick amount of money to agents who will then bribe corrupt Ukrainian embassy staff. Nobody will promote visa assurance here without getting banned only you show me in their offcial website where its stated. |

aussielover: Thank you so much for your response @Justwise My husband is already in UK and the question wasn't on my own application form, it was only asked in the children's applicaton form. The funds is in my account and the kids will also be using my account. Since this question is directed to the kids in their application form and we will all be using my account as proof of funds, will the answer still be a 'NO'? Ok that is clearer now, so the answer is Yes then make a note in the blank space provided that the application is for your kids, the same for all your kids application |

aussielover: Hello house pls I need clarification.... @Justwise @LagosismyHome @mimilyrics @aprokodaughter @awumen
I’m making an application for myself (wife) and 3 kids to join my husband who resumed for study in UK this year January. I would be using my statement of account containing #14m as proof of funds for myself and 3 kids.
Pls note kids are 5yrs, 3yrs and a few months old baby.
I would like to know if I’m supposed to create different applications for the children or is there a way they will fall under my own application?
Also below is a pic of an area of the child’s application form where I got confused and now I need help to know which is right to pick. If I pick yes it says I need to fill a third party declaration consent form. I’m confused if I’m supposed to pick ‘yes or no’. If anyone has gone through this stage before pls help.
Pls I would appreciate your kind and helpful responses. Thanks! You apply for your kids individually and If the money is in your account and in your name then select No. if the money is in your husband’s account or name then you select Yes but you need an authorisation letter from him to use the money. |

olaness: Your stance on this issue is really not clear.
What @ OmamedeRex was postulating was that one should not let the visa officers think that one intends to remain in the UK after studies. This is clearly a requirement when applying for Canadian study visa for example, even though majority of those who get Canada study permit go on to become permanent residents. Otherwise, one's study permit application will be refused.
Now, for the UK, will it be best for your application to indicate you have no intention to remain in the UK after studies or not? And @HYFR007, this has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with being a genuine student or not. Because the funds to study is completely available, and there's every intention to focus and complete the study. The UK and Canadian visa rules go nothing in common(just in case you got both mixed up, again if you can't answer simple question like what you planned to do with your certificate after graduation then we have a bigger prob here. If you planned to spend millions of naira to study in the UK and you are unable to tell the interviewer what you planned to do with your certificate then don't be surprised if you are refused a visa. Settling will come after you get a job or start a business with your certificate. Why are you struggling to understand this? Of course the interviewer knows that majority of students coming to the Uk to study will end up settling here but that was not what that question is all about. |

olaness: What if one is asked such question as: 1. What are your plans after your studies. 2. What do you intend to do after you finish your course? 3. How will this course benefit your future aspirations? 4. How do your studies fit into your career plans? Etc Pls note that these are sample interview questions provided by two different schools.
So how best can one answer such questions in order not to jeopardize one's visa chances? These are softball questions that any genuine student should answer easily else you don't deserve a visa. The question is..what do you plan to do with your certificate after graduation? So my question to you is...are you going to apply to settle in the UK with your certification after graduation? Think of things you can do with your certificate after graduation...jobs, starting a business, going for more studies? |

OmamedeRex: Tips to pass credibility interview because I had mine. 1. Make sure you don't let feel u have tie with country you are going. If asked, don't admit you have relatives in that country. 2. Make sure tou try to let the interviewer see how u could come back to Nigeria and make use of your studies. Find away to take their mind off thinking you want to work in the there after studies. Don't even say u will further to your studies there after u finish. Make them feel u are strictly going to stay at the school accommodation or recommended accommodation. Research if the school has accommodation or the accommodation is the one the school recommend for students. Know the address and cost and different option they have. 3. Don't ever say or show interest in football if u are mistakenly asked. I knew someone who was taking through that path 4. Make sure you research your course. Know what the course is all about and make sure you relate it to what you want to use it for back home. 5. Know your school ranking. Awards and so on and so forth 6. If you have study gap, tell them u were working and make sure your job line relates to the course u are going for. Form something. Connect the course to your work experience.
The main idea of the interview is psychological to test you and find out if u have any plans to not return back to Nigeria. So u must show how relevant your course is to u in developing yourself back home. Talk slowly with confidence. They can read your voice and the way you respond to questions.
If you need more information just let me know. Don't post misleading and outright lies here again. And for anybody going for an interview don't do what this poster has written for your interest. |

Even if you are caught at the airport with fake visa they will still give you the right to defend yourself, you have the right to get a lawyer to defend you. Ablecrystal: No matter the kind of relationship that exists between the embassy and the banker, banks have an obligation to keep secrecy about theirs customers’ accounts. But, occasionally, the banker has to disclose the information related to their customers’ accounts when:
1. It is required by law 2. It has a public duty to 3. To protect own interests or, 4. If a customer agrees.
So I think we all have to read the terms and conditions on the application we want to submit to be sure the number 4 point (customer consent) is not applicable. Those who are insisting that the bank can not do this or that needs to read the disclaimer or terms and conditions they signed. If don't tick and accept terms and conditions guarding the application you are making then you will not be able submit that application. Don't blame the bank when you willingly apply and submit fraudulent materials and get caught |

Because while you state this confidently , other personal experience has proven that some have been checked While people are here claiming that the bank has no right to do A,B and C the embassy is still busting out fraudsters, so my question still remain..how did the embassy finds out? And how come the bank hasn't been sued for giving out customers details to the embassy since its illegal? |

So how did the embassy finds out that the money was removed? |

ralphtamtobi: I am her brother, i am here, however the husband would come in some months time. Yes it is her first pregnancy. Ok i understand that but this is the issue, she will be heavily pregnant while attending lecture and preparing for first semester exam, then she will give birth by July and by Sept she will be expected to go back to school for her final semester. I think this will be too much for her to handle and still come out with a good result considering huge amount involved here. Yes she needs to inform the school because some schools actually have provision for pregnant students, they may allow her sometimes to do assignments/final projects etc. If she wants to go ahead with it then she needs to make adequate plan for the unborn baby and lay it out in her visa application because the embassy will be interested to know her she plans to take care of baby and still study full time. |

Goddys: You always think you know it all but you really don't. Banks owe customers fiduciary duty to protect their private details at all cost. The disclaimer you talked about has nothing to do with this legal relationship.
Stop claiming knowledgeable in area you know nothing about. I have worked in that sector before.
The questions from embassy to banks during verification is a "yes or no" question, and usually doesn't require banks to check present status of the customer's account. lol..i was right when i made the initial comment, we have people like you who always claimed to have worked in the bank but got no clue how the embassy finds out when an applicant fiddles with bank account. So my question to you is this...How did the embassy finds out about the fraud? |

Goddys: Which bank did you hubby use. His bank clearly violates their fiduciary duty to protect customer's sensitive information.
Banks are never to divulge the present account balance of their customers. You are one of the people i was referring to in my last post, when you submitted your visa application willingly and sign the disclaimer you have given the embassy the right to verify the info you submitted. The bank is not your partner in crime so will not cover up for you because they have their image to protect. The bank did nothing wrong. |

This is exactly the reason why build accounts are inadvisable as repeatedly said by justwise on this same thread. There are bunch of people here who will always claim that the bank can not give out your bank info to the embassy bla bla bla, that the embassy has no right to ask such question, they always have an uncle or a friend who works at the bank and deals with the embassy. smh |

LagosismyHome: You can't really blame agents..... the rules are in black and white for you to read yourself . Its a process that don't even need an agent
That been said I won't go for admin review, you might lose. If its only a little that was taken out then maybe you can present that it was done to be used for school waka. However all taken out flags that this not a genuine account build.
You can try apply again and ensure you leave it to the end but nobody can predict how the second application will go. Due to this first one there might be extra scrutiny, interviews and checks. You can then only prepare well and hope for the best They need to read that refusal letter carefully because what the husband committed is fraud else reapplying again may trigger a ban. This is not about leaving the money there this time around, the impression here is that he doesn't have the money to study in the UK. This is why countries like Germany and Norway will demand that you deposit the money in their bank account and it will be blocked until you get to that country. |

But like I said, what if she has made plans with the relative (which means they might have told her they are willing to host her and help her ease into the system) for a while. Ofcourse everyone get wahala, but some families are so close not to be able to accommodate each other. You can't compare family A with family B . You no Dy their family oo and hence you don't know their plans. All I was just against anyway was the way that person sounded. Condemning her like say she be the first person to travel abroad with pregnancy. You are not being realistic here, its not a good idea to come to the UK for studying while heavily pregnant , even if she has somebody to help her it still not going to be easy to study full time and still look after a new born baby. She gives birth July and by Sept she is back to school for her final semester and projects? Why would anyone consider such risky plan? |
