Manager007: Hello Justwise,
Can you please explain to me why you banned me from posting, responding etc after i replied to the Nairaland user drmorphine's query?
If i have contravened the Nairaland forum rules, please let me know where and how, because to the best of my knowledge, this nairaland user asked for information regarding staying close to his proposed university and i did say once he has sorted his travel plans and have a date to come to South Africa, he should let me know and i am willing to assist him with his accomodatipn quest. Have i erred by tryin to assist someone?
More specifically, this isnt the only Nairaland user that ihave assisted whilst here in South Africa. I don't know what you are on about, when did i ban you and what evidence do you have to support that claim? |

@justwise please guide me I did not pay in my own case but it took longer than one week before i got a genuine landlady though before then i got contacted by few people including scammers and i viewed two houses. Facebook is another good tool to use, search for renting in your city and you will see different groups you can join and place an ad or view houses advertise for rent. |

Rotimi89: No regarding the denial. I will tell the truth about the denial since i dont have any criminal case with them. But what abt my status? Since i have married with US profile and am not married in this case. Pls what is safe for me? Just in case you still don't get where i'm coming from..dude start telling the truth in your visa application, but just in case you are still romancing the idea of maintaining the old lies then be consistent and hopefully shit will not hit fan in future. Telling the truth does not necessarily mean that you will get a visa in this particular case but its a starting point of having a clean record. |

Please dont judge my past as i know have made some crucial mistakes. I only need guidance now please
What should i do? If they don't share info what will you do? Will you take your agent's advice? |

johnHadey: I would not had made a post if i had been notified or these your concerns had been stated before or after deleting my posts. It will be cowardice to keep quite after i had noticed.
Yes, my intentions are genuine and i was taking the risk of making and confirming payments first over here, just like i had done for 2 poeple already through this forum and both kept to agreements.
I tend to believe no student would want to risk their application process by not keeping to their own part of bargain, as it is easier for me to report and reclaim any transaction with proof of payments over here.
I have been in the shoes before and i know what 1naira difference to $1 can mean to someone who is using his entire family life savings to travel out.
My offer was exactly what i would get by using an agent to send money to Nigeria, hence i wasnt gaining or loosing anything, but in turn a total stranger can save some money and get faster payment confirmation.
I hereby retract those posts even though deleted, and i caese to pay bills for anyone from this forum henceforth.
It is a faceless forum with real people. A little trust in humanity will make the world a better place. Yes but not when you find Nigeria and money in one sentence, so lets play err on the side of caution on this. |

Rotimi89: An agent once also packaged a US application for me for a confrence which i was denied. My status in the US application profile was married( though he got a wedding certificate for me from court registry) and am actually single. He also lied that i have travel history to some africa countries and got the fake visa on my passport which i did not (though in the US application profile) So fast farward. Before i started my UK masters application, someone adviced me to declare my passport missing and get a new one because of the fake visas on it to make it clean for UK application since they verify which i did and i have it now.
I have an offer and abt to apply for my tier 4 visa. Another agent then told me to deny any question relating to denial of the US, that it may delay my Tier 4 visa application. He also said i should use my original status now in this application claiming that US and UK dont share informations on those kinna stuffs but only serious criminal crimes are shared. Please my question now is: 1. Would a denial of US in any way affect my UK application? 2. Should i actually deny been denied a US visa and claim my original status(single) now? 3. Or i should just declear the truth abt been denied a US visa before and claim being married since i actually have a registry wedding certificate or claim single? Please young guys also learn from my mistakes and Never be too despirate to travel and fall in the hands of all this quarks agents that mislead pple all in the name of traveling. Thanks guys as i read your comments Let me ask you this..as a responsible grown up adult what do you think you should do? |

johnHadey: @justwise and Admins.
I have just discovered that my posts to assist prospective students pay bills were deleted by God knows who. I should be informed if any posts violates the forum's regulations and should be adviced to take it down myself if it does. I find it very funny because this is suppose to be a DIY and helpful forum. Posts to genuinely and personally help students pay their bills at a lesser exchange rate are deleted, but posts which advertise and recommends individual website with higher rate cost are left alone. The fact that the sponsors and promoters of a payment gateway website have infiltrated this forum does not mean we forget the exact basis for which the forum was created. Live and let Live. You may have good intentions or not and there is no way to verify that in a faceless forum like this, nobody should trust you or anybody else here with their school fees, so to avoid stories that touches the heart any post offering such service will be removed as soon as i see it. |

Johny2015: Hi House. This thread is great and I so much appreciate the effort we have all put into keeping this thread alive since 2012.
Having read over 70 pages of this thread, there is an issue I am still confused about.
I am about applying for a PhD study visa to South Africa. However, I wish to be accompanied by my wife and son (2 years). The challenge I am having is how to go about their own application.
There seems to be nothing like accompanying spouse or minor visa types on the visa application form DHA 1738. Is there a special form for this class of visa or how do I do this?
I know I have a place where I can list them on my own form. But I believe there should still be a seperate form for them to fill.
Believe me, I would appreciate any assistance from you all. Check this http://www.dha.gov.za/index.php/types-of-visas |

Its difficult to estimate how much profit somebody makes when business is run from personal account and not a business one, that is why she needs to do a lot of explanation in her application backed up by those documents. |

Thatswassup: 1. The trip is just for 5 days and will be costing me less than 500 euros after paying for flight and accommodation.
2. I have student residence permit Valid till the next 9 months Reduce your budget by searching for a cheaper ticket to the UK, budget airlines like easyjet or Ryanair may have a cheaper ticket. Rather than booking for hotel accommodation you can try hostels which is pretty cheap |

Thatswassup: Yea sure, I have income from 3 jobs and I have payslips , one pays more than N350k the other pays N50k at the most, this is just a naira equivalent as I don’t live in Nigeria and these are just student jobs. And I already booked hotels and paid for flight already, hope this can show some positive sign in the application decision. 1.That is about 900 Euros (£800)? How much will the trip cost you? 2. What is your immigration status there? |

She goes to China like 2/3 times a year. She also goes to Dubai. How can she go about it please. Does she have business and personal account? She needs to present a lot of paper evidence to support her business and source of her money..purchase and sales receipts, evidence of her travel to China etc and use the blank space in the form to explain the nature of her business and also state clearly that the business is not registered yet. |

My mum is about to apply for 10yrs visa. She's previously had 6mnths, 2yrs, and 5yrs. But we want to apply for 10 this time since shes eligible for but someone is saying this Brexit thing may affect her. How true is this? Please bear in mind she has never defaulted/ overstayed. Always 5mnths each time she visits.
Thanks a million in advance. Not true |

Thatswassup: Hi guys.
I need an honest advice on this secenerio pls.
I applied for the UK visa about 4 moths ago and I was denied because, I said a family member is gonna partially pay for my trip cos i’m a student, and I forgot to include proof of support, and my account balance had no closing balance as well, I knew it was my fault cos I was so cocky and thought I would get it regardless cos I’m widely travelled.
Now, I wanna apply again and I will be sponsoring myself full time, but a family member just transferred some fund into my account. Which iapprox totals about 40% of my current closing balance Is that a red flag already? If I declare the reason for the transfer will it be okay ? Should I take out the money or just apply some other later ? Advise on what to do will be highly appreciated cos I don’t wanna risk a denial again. Thanks y’all. Do you have a strong source of income that you can defend with evidence ? |

TroublemakerPro: Am sorry for the statement made, I agree that I am a Bigot with Massive inferiority complex, I will like to change this because as a Nigerian, I grew up with soo many things drilled into my brain like.
1.Gay's should be detest and killed. 2.Women belong in the kitchen and men should be the only provider. 3.The white are better than Africans in everything( there is an atom of truth In this but not everything though)
I have changed 1 because o had a Gay friend and he was just like any other person except for his feelings which he can't control ( blame God not them)
Nigerian recession made no. 2 irrelevant
And no 3 is what am working on, because it'll be hypocritical to change this fully when, most Nigerians (including me) are running away from home just to learn and enjoy from a white man's land.
Am sorry for that statement because it really hits hard, My Mom and dad has been through a lot of Racism and Discrimination, and I am just an egg ready to hatch, I'll change the post now.
Please forgive me You are a fair and open minded person, keep it because you will need it to survive in the UK. |
