Yes you can use hotel reservation for visa application.

I have read here about people using hostel booking but i can't recall the outcome of the application.

The documents I currently have are
1. My passport,
2. My Bank statement ( no much fund)
3. Introduction letter from work
4. Work appointment letter
5.Company I D
6. Land documents with construction currently ongoing on site (worth 3.5milliom)

The reason am using my uncle as sponsor is to assist with his Bank statement and documents to back my application.

Can I use his Bank statement
If Yes-- what are other documents do I get from him.....

As a working adult your uncle can not sponsor you for visiting visa application to the UK, you go on holiday when you can afford it personally.

Google the email address that sent you that email to see if it leads you to any UK embassy link. If it does then send those documents as requested.

My gurus in the house - Justwise, Ekpotek and others, please i need your opinion on this issue.

I applied for Visit visa with my wife and son last April but was refused on the basis that i did not state what we intend to do during our stay and i did not show much ties to the country. However, these were stated clearly with evidences in the application as my two other kids are staying back in Nigeria. i travelled alone to African country to use my leave then.

I want to apply for myself alone now to go for my vacation next March. Is it not too early to apply now based on the refusal in May this year? So as not to show desperation? i intend starting the application by December (3 month to intended time of travelling).

Thank you all as i expect your responses.

Why not apply as a family and correct the mistake from the previous application?

School Rep here in Nigeria asked me to use this exact lines for my Sponsorship letter.
1. For me its too brief as against UKVI rules that expect amount of Scholarship to be stated or that they will take care of all bills.
2. Why must I copy this, what if somehow the ECO notes the similiraty? Or are we not submitting Sponsorship letter with Application?

I will be shocked if you are given a visa with a sponsorship letter from local govt.

Thanks a lot for your response brother. I actually took few days to go through the UKVI requirements and I was able to get some solid fact. A family member can sponsor you but it must be legally backed up as your legal guardian. A British legal guardian doesn't need that huge amount of pounds to show for the embassy as proof of maintenance, the only thing that's needed is just £570 pounds for 9 months and for a period of 28 days. After reading through the whole tier 4 UKVI documents, I contacted my school in London and expressed the situation to them, I even quoted the pages for them to read on UKVI for tier 4, they agreed to reduce my living expenses from 11,385pounds to 5130 pounds in London but requested for some documents to back up my claim. Please read through page 71 to 73 of that UKVI guidelines for tier 4.

That is not possible. The school can not reduce the amount for you because it got nothing to do with them.

I actually understand your frustrations and I have noticed such posts are quickly deleted. I try to report such posts too and would have done so had the poster not edited it before I logged in.

I agree this should be discouraged but not in a way that damns us all

I did that thanks to few individuals here who are very active in reporting fraudulent post like that for a long time now.

He did mention the police posted it and the African community in krivoy rog but we cannot relate with any of this information except for the fact that Justus cannot be contacted. The police or The African community are not supposed to be hidden to the public, why is it then that we cannot find this information in anywhere else except on nairaland. The bone of contention is that we need the original source of this information, so we can all access it by ourselves. It is already a public mess... so spill the beans.

You be writing the police in the city where your brother lives and his school/place of work to get more information, you should be tagging this info in Facebook/twitter to see who else have any info.

Work with ibrahimovic303 to see how much info you can get so as to expand on that.

You have no slim idea about how many of such post i have removed and in most cases ban the individual, the gift deed fraud is not new here and many of you never condemn it, i decided to only delete and not bring the issue open here because i don't want it to trend but i'm sick of it now.

I know that there are some silent supporters of such fraud because each time such post surfaces only about one or two persons will report it.

If you want to make Nigeria better then start speaking out for what is wrong and not come out to preach to me, many here condemn thieving politicians but given the opportunity some will do even worst.

No genuine company in the UK will give you an IV to come and work for them because it doesn't work that way.

You have to apply for job and the company has to go through work-visa process then issue you certificate of employment and you will go through visa process to get a work permit.

Your chances of getting UK visiting visa based on what you stated here is very slim, invitation letter means nothing if you have no strong link in Nigeria, no strong source of income or family tie.

I totally agree with you, but he/she apologised, and I think he/she is ignorant about the procedure of gift deed, but saying you want to report the case so policy can change as regards gift deed is not fair.

Surely it will be fair to people who play by the rule and do the right thing and not people who make every effort to cheat the system and by so doing make life difficult for other genuine applicants

Why do we actually have this default-dubious mindset about everything we do as Nigerians?

If you don't meet the requirement must you get it fraudulently?

You have a strong case if you put in a good application, your previous refusal will only be an issue if you refused to acknowledge that in your application or if it was fraud/misrepresentation related.

Since your have a profitable business and a longtime relationship with her..you need to add evidence of that relationship in the form of evidence of communication(call log, chat log etc) pictures taken together during those visits, gift exchange whether in cash or material gift.

She needs to send you letter of IV, data page of her British passport, evidence of accommodation..tenancy agreement or mortgage paper, bank statement and payslips.

You need to submit your company's registration papers, bank account and your own personal bank statement(which is where the cost of this trip will come from AND NOT from your business account)

Morning folks, I'm in a dilemma and I hope this is the right thread to seek help.

I defaulted on my US visa, though I have applied for a green card 6months ago. However, I plan to join my fiance who is on a Tier 2 visa and has a comfortable job.

The plan is to get married as soon as I come over but Gov.uk says if I apply for a spousal visa, I would only have a 6months leave and I can't switch visas.
The other option is to apply as a dependant but when he got into the UK, we weren't engaged at the time, so I wasn't included as his dependant.

Pls I need advice on the options available to me, I'm really confused.

PS: If he sponsors me, I hope my bad immigration history wouldn't be a ground for rejection.

You misinterpreted that section of immigration rule, that rule is not about spouse visa but fiance visa but your case is not suited for any of those because your boyfriend is not a British citizen or settled in the UK (they have ‘indefinite leave to remain’ or proof of permanent residence).

Getting married then apply as his dependant is more suited to your situation or apply for visiting visa if you have a strong tie to Nigeria

Wow thanks. I was thinking of getting funds from a friend and doing TB then liquidating later after getting my certificate.

The only way to stop this fraudulent practices is by exposing people like you which will hopefully lead to policy change by Canadian embassy.
