CAN is a bunch of bloody hypocrites.

How many of them showed up when TB Joshua died.

I'm not a follower of Joshua and I don't agree with him on a lot of things but c'mon, we are talking about death here. His only sin was he was not a member.

Trust me.

There is always a way if you think outta the box.

I am talking purely from what I have gone through.

Although, I also understand that everyone can't be me.

So, I am not pressing too hard on my point.

But if you can think outside the box once every road is blocked due to where you find yourself.

There is every possible chance of innovation and success beyond the norm.
Baba, in spite of the harshness of Nigeria, some have it easier. Those are the privileged but its unfair and insensitive not to acknowledge the pain and struggle of others.

Take for instance, a certain CEO of Patricia is a 26 year old millionaire in dollars, he can come up to say that others are lazy or are not making enough use of opportunities if he so wishes but for every one of success like his, there are at least 500, 000 failures. People who tried and still failed anyways.

How many under 30 millionaires do we have in Nigeria, compared to close to 2 million in US.

I remember talking to a lady here who claimed she could have saved a lot during her NYSC if she wished but when I asked her some certain questions, I got to know she was being taken care of by other people.

For a lot of Nigerian, there is no way! Na to just suffer till death comes and the number of such Nigerians are increasing daily.

Honestly.

Everything you listed here is an advantage.

I am a victim too. I lost some job source cause of payment method.

But the pain I experienced from that. It cannot be easily forgotten. And if I had the opportunity. It will be a fuel to drive me to make a change.

Others benefit from my innovation.

I gain profit also.

You see, these are all advantage.

But you need to be selfless to see through them..
An apprentice cannot afford to buy equipment after freedom because the price is x3 of what it used to be.

How is that an advantage?

He's not lying. We are Nigerian living in Nigeria, we know where the shoe pinches.

You can't make more than $50 transaction per day till tomorrow.
A dollar is N700 now.
And lots more.

Being a Nigerian is like being stuck in traffic in front of your house but you can't get home because you're on the other side of the road.

Your dream will remain a dream even if you work your ass off.

Nazgul:
Haven't you noticed that students are closer to their secondary school teachers than their university lectures upon graduation.

My secondary school old students association has a Facebook page of which I'm a member of, at the end of the year we usually hangout at designated locations, celebrate life and raise contributions for some of our teachers who are in need.

No one does that for university lectures because most of them are sadist, wicked, vengeful...etc. Also, most Nigerian lectures lack the ability to impact knowledge on their students. They teach with anger frustration, some are so lazy to keep up lecturing appointments with students that they just hand over course material to the course rep to photocopy for the students.

If you claim to be a parent, you must see every child you mentor in class as your child, and do everything within you ability to ensure that they get the best from you. That's what every good parents does. Unfortunately our lectures do the exact opposite.
Not withstanding all of these, ASUU demands are quite reasonable.

Let's forget about our personal feelings for a second. It would greatly improve how lecturers provide their services. The students will greatly benefit.

This one is on the Federal Government.

You can check out the demands here https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/amp/education/article/explainer-here-are-asuus-demands-from-govt-since-2009/
Programming › Re: Please Devs, You Guys Should Stop Glamorising Tech And Programming by Karleb(m): 1:09am On Jul 27, 2022
There are people that get paid directly and indirectly to encourage people to learn programming and many of them lie to do that.

It's just like what motivational speakers do, Twitter is especially notorious for that.

You see things like:

Learn programming in 60 days and get a job.

Day 1 - 5: HTML
Day 6 - 10: CSS
Day 11 - 20: Javascript
Day 21 - 40: React
Day 41 - 45: Build a Todo app
Day 46 - 50: Build a weather app
Day 50 - 60: Get a job

Sadly, this is what a lot of people want to believe.

You also need to understand that it's the internet, some of these people are fraud, especially on Twitter.

Accountant to the money he collected from the people abi? Did he task the people to bring their own food whenever they came to hear him teach?

He peefomed the miracle in the presence of his disciples to make it clear to them that he was the Christ.
Baba, working for God comes with it's own reward and one vital part of the reward is money.

It is not inappropriate or a sin to pay your workers to serve God. Some churches even give their members incentives, some go as far as providing jobs and loans to their members.

It's not a sin and God approves it.

Tithing became a thing because the Levites would go hungry and contemplate crime without it.

A number of churches recognize this, they pay their workers, especially full time, handsomely.

Maybe you can point out where God condemns paying a musician or a worker for that matter.

Arkmanbuddy:
This is what I have with "church business" people. The church is not a business. A pastor is not an entrepreneur! The real church as established by Christ and developed by the apostles has been relegated to the status of house fellowship all in the name of the business of soul-winning.

If a church doesn't have anyone who can play any instruments, let them make do with what they have. It's very simple! You've turned the church into a seed-sowing and salary paying venture. It's a shame!

Like a pastor once said, we'll keep joking and entertaining ourselves till Christ comes. We're mere jokers in a building thinking we're praising God.
Even Jesus with 12 disciples had an accountant.

He multiplied 3 fishes and 5 loaves to feed many.

I don’t know what brand of Christianity you practice but it's not practical.
Romance › Re: Today Makes It 7 Sundays I Have Not Being To Church And Nobody Check On Me. by Karleb(m): 12:11pm On Jul 25, 2022
Arkmanbuddy:
You see what I'm saying? You don't even understand what a church is. The church is the people that meet to worship God, not the building. God has no business with the building but the hearts of the people.

If your pastor has all these things to make life easy for the people that gather at the place, he should be able to take care of them. Anyone who has the means to help out can do so without being coerced or forced to do it.

The only concern of God is the people, not the church buses, or community service. Once the holy spirit takes over, everyone will see it as their duty to do these things. The pastor will call for it and everyone will turn up for it because their spirits align with it.
You are not practical at all. This is the issue I have with so called spiritual people. Every concept is abstract to them.

The lady that mentioned you is a chorister and her husband an instrumentalist and she knows what she's talking about.

@OP

It's really about the people. Go where you are celebrated.
