The little quantity of water in the tyre (moisture) wnt affect or increase the pressure during the hot time...There is no way u pump a tyre or using compressor to pump any device that u wnt see little drop of water which I think is not enough to reduce or increase the pressure of the tyre on asphalt.

Pls quote me back after yer research.I dnt fink is easy for u to know or determined the little water in type after it has been pumped to like 50 pal.
I am not carrying out any research; just stated my observation. Thanks for your response; good to hear the risk is negligible.

LOL! He will still do it there in your presence!

I had a visitor one day, and my son walked straight to the table and took the man's eggplant. I yelled at him, took him inside and knelt him down. Well, my sister interceded and I asked him to get up, with a stern warning never to try such thing again. He nodded.

What did he do next? He went to the sitting room and picked the remaining eggplant! grin grin

Have seen the video now. Did not doubt you, but noted you should not have had him on the front seat for any reason. Even with the engine off, and key out of switch, some hyperactive kids could break stuff before you are back.

Everyone has written what is on their mind and I appreciate all of you. The switches that connects the gear inside the engine has Sev :oen wires all leading to the engine is the can network which was not communicating. His gear selector on the dashboard shows only reverse. That was rectified. ......
Please stop trying to defend your diagnosis and repairs. They are pale. I am really unpleasantly surprised at what you wrote above. The main reason for bringing the vehicle to you was the transmission, which ended up not being fixed. It is looking like an easy fix (to me). There is no such connector you mentioned in that transmission. The owner's madness at you is legitimate. You should not have allowed it get to this point.

@CNARIOjoseph, it is okay, just take your car to a competent hand. Your transmission is not looking like it has internal problem.

Car TalkPumping Our Tyres At The Roadside During High Humidity; Any Risks? by Kashif(op): 10:05am On May 13, 2016
I was conducting a little research on air compressors last evening, and something came to my mind.

The vulcanizers we find around us have the air compressors feeding the tyres directly, without any filter or storage tank. These help get rid of water which is a byproduct of compressed air. I remember stopping to buy something close to a vulcanizer one humid morning, and noticed that the hose end left on the road had considerable moisture coming out. Enough to get the asphalt where it was resting wet.

Now I am thinking, could there be a risk inflating our tyres off those sources, and getting water in? Could the quantity of water be enough to considerably increasing the pressure in the tyres on a hot day, especially if over-inflated? I am not an expert, but I know that steam under pressure is a high risk.

As a way of mitigation, would inflating our tyres only on a sunny day help?

Can fellows with a better understanding throw more light? This is just me thinking aloud.

I've a 2010 Venza V6.
Nice Ride
It's Stable on high speeds. Maintenance cost is not high because I've not done any repair for a year, only oil change and brake pads., also a battery replacement last December .

The movement of this car is not really impressive to me for a v6 , so I wonder how sluggish and foolish the 4 cylinder version will be. The v6 is quiet and it doesn't sing good music to my ears during acceleration.

The 20inch alloy wheels is nice ,it gives a sporty look, and it has a stiff suspension. Aside this there's nothing special about the Venza .
Wow! You must be meant for the tracks then, unless something is wrong with your drivetrain!

Hmmmmmm.... I am surprised at these.

@OP, you have learnt your lesson; distance shouldn't be a barrier if you feel you will get quality service. You did well in getting the bill down, even though what was paid cannot be justified yet.

@ Sooper, your diagnostic approach on this was basically flawed. I simple scan would have led you in the right direction. ECU not commanding or actuators not responding.

Your telling your customer he needs to buy a 'better' car is off the hook unprofessional, and should be recalled. Take it or leave it, you have lost fans here!

Mail Impex. I've used them on occasion, but had to leave for another more "closed" service eventually. They had a minimum shipping weight, delays in delivery every now and then. They didnt bundle or aggregate shipments together back then, another peeve of mine. This made deliveries more expensive. Eventually, Items will get delivered, basically in good condition, but annoyances plenty. And Martha got promoted, she used to handle customer complaints back then, and at least knew how to resolve issues.

i'll score them 6 out of 10.
Many thanks for this. Incidentally, it was Martha that I spoke with this afternoon. She sounded professional, competent and courteous.

Do you mind telling me the 'closed' service you switched to? If you don't wanna spill it here, kindly drop it via email - kashimanjeroartyahoodotcom.

Changing gear oil should not be a problem, but the Kazeem that worked it,will intentionally leave something undone,or not properly done!Yes that is their way.
Indeed, changing ATF especially when very dirty could spell doom. In fact, the better the replacement ATF in this circumstance, the higher the risk. grin grin

Reason? The super ATF has greater power to dislodge more dirt - ingress and leakage occur. Remember:

Good day my people pls i need your kind assistance with an issue i had this evening, sometime in November last year i changed my gear oil and replaced with the recommended dw1 for accord vehicles, with no issues before and after the oil change fast forward to this evening i started the car and drove few meters and noticed that the d4 light was blinking non stop i was really concerned but kept on driving though slowly i took a turn the car stopped the light in the gear selector went off totally i off the car and shifted put it back on at this point both the lights of d3 and d4 where on and blinking and i noticed that the gear refused to move from park (Stiff).

i put it off and called a mechanic before he came i put it on again this time around the d4 was blinking but the car moved and i was able to maneuver the car from the bad spot where it happened and decided to park and wait for the mechanic alas when he came maybe because the car had cooled a bit everything was normal no issue at all the mechanic said maybe its electrical problem or the sensor is bad.

Pls good people what can be the cause of this issue abeg help me o before mechanics use me and my car for pepper soup this period wey money no dey abeg!!!

hope to see a mechanic tmrw but i need head-sup on what the issue might probably be.

For starters, a two year old has no business in the front seat. Even at 18 months, mine would have broken off the wiper switch at least, by the time you are back!

Car TalkRe: Reason Your D4 Is Blinking! by Kashif(m): 8:05am On May 07, 2016
For the books, there are just about two different ATFs in this world. Yes! The ATF oil and the CVT oil.

What is ATF? It is a high grade synthetic oil with plenty detergent and dye, most of which are produced by Mobil. The automobile manufacturers do not produce ATF. They get the origininal oil company to brand for them, and then tell you if you don't use their ATF, your transmission will be fried. How many of them manufacture the transmissions they use? About five!

You see Jatco transmissions in Nissan, Ford, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Kia, Jaguar, Land Rover, etc. The same thing applies to Aisin and ZF transmissions that are in numerous vehicles. These manufacturers designate these transmissions or leave them with original nomenclature. All of them have their own branded ATFs for the same transmission, and we are meant to believe they are not interchangeable.

The CVT is a different breed, and MUST be respected. This is particularly due to their belts, that must grip the variators.

By any means, go ahead and use the recommended ATF; the above is for our education.

. . . you might have just succeeded in creating more problem than solving it. You need check for 'why' you had a shortage(might be a leak) then have that fixed, drain oil and refill with Original Honda DW-1. Having a mixture of different oil type in your transmission is a disaster waiting to happen.
Drain and refill still leaves you with a mix; greater part of which is the old ATF.

The D4 of my Honda CRV has been blinking ever since i changed my gear box in 2013. My transmission fluid is nt short yet it still blinks.
Low ATF is just one of many causes of flashing D. It's even possible the sensor connectors were swapped during installation. Have you scanned the car?
