I dont think the truth is being told here considering the Internet requirement of Banks, corporate Institution and other organisations whether in terms of bandwidth or Google services. |
The case in lekki is child's play compared to what is happening in Asokoro, Maitama and Wuse II districts of the FCT (Abuja). Though it may be erronous to comclude that most of these house are built with corruption money, this may be the case to a large extent in Abuja. here you see house that have remain vacant or upward of six years and they are most owned by director and top shot in the ministries, departments and agency. |
Marriage is a Social contract. If what the man is saying is true then the woman should be blamed for leaving her home for such a long time. However, the decision to divorce his wife is sole his. I am sure God did not speak to him. Thoug there is no way we can judge whether or not God spoke to him. |
He is only regretting that he did not have the oppurtunity of seeing the kind of cash in dollars that OBJ saw. All his replies are ironies. Thank you. |

1. Every single registered voter in Buhari's ward voters. 100% voters turn out was recorded. Between the voters registration and voting day, nobody fell sick, traveled and did not vote. And they all voted for CPC. 2. So everybody in Buhari's ward voted for CPC, how come he is complaining that there was about 99% turn out in Bayelsa State. Does he expect them to leaqve their son and vote for him. That is why Babangida Aliyu, the Governor of Niger State, cautioned Buhari not to think that his village is Nigeria. So he thinks if everybody voted for him in his village, then they should also vote for him elsewhere. 3. Buhari should also realise that CPC is even beginning to fade away in the north. His supporters made attempts to kill and destroy the property of those that are perceived not to be in support of Buhari and this turned out to affect the level of support they received during the governorship election. |

Dora overated herself, simple. Though she fought a good fight against a formidable candidate like Ngige, she should keep quiet at this time and start mapping out strategies for the next political dispensation. APGA also contributed to Dora's problem, how would a Governor, Senator and Party National Chairman all be from the same village. This also worked against her because it caused some form of disaffection. However, Dora is still a good candidate any day, anytime. If not for someone like ngige, she would have won. |
I would send you a mail. Then we would get to talk. |

I wonder why this post should not be in the front page. Other useless post, like the one on Jonathan's attire would get to the front page, why an excellent post like this would remain in this section. Seun, in the name of God or Satan or anything you believe in, please send this post to the front page. |
http:///forum/topics/7-reasons-buharibakare-will Reasons Buhari/bakare Will Lose The Elections Despite Growing Popularity! Posted by Michael Ajayi on February 27, 2011 at 5:02pm in Politics View Discussions Let me start by acknowledging the fact that the Bakare pick by Buhari, has improved Buhari's fortunes desperately. In many online polls I've come across of recent, Buhari/ Bakare's popularity has skyrocted sometimes surpassing that of Jonathan. What I observed however, is that the biggest loser is Ribadu. All his fans seemed to drift enmass to the Buhari/Bakare ticket. Jonathan's popularity remains good, just a little less than the early days. Given the fact that Buhari controls the North West with 19 Million Voters and has a pretty Good Showing in the South West, you would think Victory should be certain for CPC. However, I'm 1000% sure that after a free and fair election come May 29th Buhari would not be anywhere near Aso rock for the simple reasons stated below 1)They are not campaigning We have just 5 weeks to the elections and I can't see any sign of Buhari campaigning anywhere in Nigeria . He hasn't visited any states in the south or middle belt. No rallies whatsoever. Does he think everybody reads newspapers or have internet connection?? Ruralites which constitute the real voters in Nigeria have never heard about CPC. How are they going to give him votes. How is the farmer in Isale Egan, Arochukwu or Gbaramatu going to vote a Buhari he has has never heard about? Jonathan on the other hand is travelling everywhere despite the fact that he has the required visibility already. 2)The CPC has very limited structures CPC has no structures in many states across the country. In fact, they didn't even field Governorship candidates in many states. Elections are won by politicians and not on the pages of newspapers. People actually think PDP wins because they rig. Thats far from the truth. PDP winS elections because they built structures across the country. Every Okada Association, Taxi drivers Asscoc, Market women group, and every other group that controls large swaths of REAL voters are all on the payroll of the PDP. The CPC structures start and finish in the North West and some states in the North East. Structures in the South West are shared between PDP and ACN. Without these structures, there is no way CPC is winning even 10% of the votes in the South West. 3)Jonathan's Popularity It is not very often you see a popular incumbent. Jonathan is very popular, not because of his performance but because of the nature of his ascension. Nigeria is a very religious country and many people have come to believe that Jonathan has been propped up by God to bring change to the country. There is the impression amongst so many I've spoken with, that God will use Jonathan to change Nigeria. Buhari knows this so well, so he calculatedly brings in a Pastor as running mate to tilt the balance. Was it a good strategy,I think very much so! Will it improve his fortunes, sadly I don't think so as Bakare is known to have discredited all the crowd pulling ministers including Adeboye whose he seems to be courting desperately these days. 4)Cash, Money and Finance Seriously, in any election, Cash is King. Whether that Election is in America or Zimbabwe, Nigeria or New Zealand!! Obama raised $600million dollars to execute his election. Without that war-chest, he would have lost to McCain. Fact is, He bought that election legitimately!! Nigeria is not an exception! Money rules! Donald Duke estimated that it would cost close to 20 Billion naira to execute a honest presidential election. And that's just for campaigning minus settlements. My opinion, 50 Billion wouldn' t even do. If Buhari can raise that money in 5 weeks, then trust me he stole it!! The PDP can buy up all the almajiris in the North West with N1000 each and they would line up enmasse for Jonathan. 19 Million almajiris will cost the PDP only 19 Billion Naira= Now that's chicken change for a party that has controlled a the economy of a country with some of the world's finest oil wells. On a serious note, where is Buhari going to get the money required to campaign across the nation in just 5 weeks. The man needs to advertise, billboards, posters, etc they all cost money !! 5)Jonathan is relaxed Jonathan is so relaxed. When a man is so relaxed, you can tell that he has very little to worry about. The Buhari ticket would have worried the Jonathan camp if they had teamed up with ACN. But as it is always with the opposition their selfish interests carried the day. Before the PDP presidential Primaries, Jonathan was very uneasy until Babangida was out of the race. When Atiku was left in the race, Jonathan became relaxed because victory was now certain. Atiku was an easy case. Exactly the same is playing out with Buhari. Jonathan's relaxed mien suggests that Buhari's CPC is nothing but a paper tiger!! 6)25% in 24 states Buhari cannot win up to 25% in any of the South South or South East states. That takes 11 states out of the running, leaving him with 25 states to score at least 25% of the votes. Is that a possiblity? I doubt especially given the fact that in the south west, the votes will be split in three between Jonathan, Ribadu and Buhari. Also states like Plateau and Benue would hardly give Buhari 25%. It will be so hard for Buhari to score that 25% in 24 states. That automatically nullifies any numerical victory he wishes he might obtain. 7)Time and Chance One of the most fundamental principles in life is the Time and Chance principle. Somehow it just appears like this is Goodluck Jonathan's time. Despites many miscalculations on his part, his popularity just doesn't seem to want to go downhill. Whether we like him or not, it looks like he is here to stay at least till 2015. Same way Obama came and upset the dreams of so many like McCain and Hilary Clinton, so also Jonathan has truncated the life long ambitions of the likes of Babangida, Atiku, Gusau and come April it looks like Buhari will be added to the list of those who have fallen under Jonathan's dream killing sword!!
|
This write up should be in the front page. Every single point raised here is correct. But most CPC supporters fail to acknowledge them. Buhari did not campaign at all in the SS and SE. |
Our Youth and Corpers have proven once more that we are not as bad as they make us look. All hail our brave corpers, despite the small pay, difficult terrain, harsh weather, bomb blast in some places and all other obstacles they had the courage to work assiduously to see to the achievement of the objective of this election. Corpers una too much |
kodewritta dont speak on what you know nothing about. Isoko is in Delta state not in the South East where dowry demand is very high. Deltans are very considerate in the marriage demands. Find out from others. Meanwhile I knmow of a lot of marriages between Yourubas and Isoko/Urhobo and they are all living happily. Mind you, I am neither Isoko nor Yoruba |
Nigerians are so funny? Do you think Jega would have been able to conduct an election of this nature if he had not been given a free hand by Jonathan. Please we should give Kudos to GEJ, Jega and all members of the NYSC they have all done creditably well. For those complaining that results have not been released till now, show their ignorance of the logistic challenges in Nigeria. For those our compatriots that sits behind a computer either in the UK , US and other western nation insulting the president GEJ; I will just advice that they come back to Nigeria and access the situation before aking their useless comments. Edicolove I stand with you, I respect Bankole's response. GEJ promised to give us credible elections and he is doing just that, some people are having premature ejaculation because he is proving them wrong. |
Nigerians are funny, and NL shows how foolish a lot of people can be. Let us not take out objectivity in our criticism and play so much to the gallery. Politicians are known to use every means to try to achieve political gains and this is just one of them. Buhari going to the stadium is a political stunt. This does not really mean he is more humbly than GEJ. Before you jump to the conclusion that I am a PDP/GEJ supporter, I am against the PDP, but you must admit that the performance of individual politicians is not based on the party but mostly on the individual. Just as the ACN is doing well in some states, so also some PDP Governors are doing well. Please, weda you like GEJ or not, it is not proper you call him a stupid man as some people have been doing in this forum, he is a sitting President and we must show him some respect. When you insult him, it shows that your upbringing is somehow faulty. In Nigeria we have as misconstrued way of judging strength. When somebody insults you, the first reaction is always to fight back, when you don't do that, people call you a fool or a weakling. But it takes greater strength to stay calm under extreme provocation than to react. GEJ recently sacked a principal member of his campaign team for insulting Buhari and Ribadu, but can Ribadu/Buhari do same. |
A GROUP, the Leaders of Thought in the North in Nigeria, has condemned the leader of the Northern Leaders Forum, Mallam Adamu Ciroma and the presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari over what it described as their attempts “to throw the North in the flame of ethnic or tribal politics or any action that will create tension and violence in the North.” In a statement issued yesterday and signed by its Convener/President, Prof Ahmed Muhammed and Secretary General, Dr Adamu Abdullahi, the group said: “We the Leaders of Thought in the North of Nigeria have watched with keen interest the electioneering of all the party candidates vying for the exalted position of the President of our great and very dear country and the action and utterances of some members of the Northern Leaders Forum especially on the issue of zoning. “While we have identified serious contenders from just mere participants in the electoral contest, we, however, wish to make our position known on the issues of zoning and to also examine the utterances of some of the candidates in their campaigns as they relate to the North. “We are aware that the campaign team of General Muhammadu Buhari, especially his running mate, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has been trying to play the North against the South by saying that they would ensure that the North becomes the ‘Wild Wild North’ should the election be rigged in the zone. Since we expected the campaign team to disown the statement of Pastor Bakare and none was forthcoming, we have naturally assumed that he was merely echoing the thought of General Buhari who had also been calling for violence. “We condemn any statement or attempt by any individual to throw the North in the flame of ethnic or tribal politics or any action that will create tension and violence in the North. General Buhari and his running mate are merely speaking for themselves. We have not forgotten that it was General Buhari and his military adventurers that truncated our great country’s march to democracy in December 31, 1983 in a coup d’etat that sacked the government of our illustrious son, His Excellency, Alhaji Shehu Usmanu Shagari. “We cannot imagine the progress we would have made as a nation democratically had General Buhari and co not brutally brought governance to a standstill. We are still not sure why the North should support General Buhari or Pastor Bakare. “We as the voice of the Northern elite and intelligentsia do not believe in zoning and have expressed our position to Mallam Adamu Ciroma and his group on every occasion. The North does not believe in zoning. Mallam Ciroma and his group are only working for themselves. “We wish to commend both Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and Dr Ebele Goodluck Jonathan on their campaigns. Both individuals have demonstrated maturity and decorum. These Nigerians have earned our trust and confidence, that they are not after the disintegration of Nigeria. President Jonathan has convinced us that he can be trusted with power and will protect the collective interest of Nigeria, including those of the North and South. “We wish to state affirmatively that General Buhari does not represent any progressive interest in the North. He belongs to the cabal represented by Ciroma and co that has brought backwardness to our people. |
GEJ invited all presidential contenstants and advised them to pursue non violence electioneering. GEJ was pelted with stones by CPC supporters, yet Buhari did not come out to condemn this act openly. No where in the South has Buhari stoned or abused. As a Pastor, one thing Bakare has not learnt is to bridle his tongue? He talks even when it is not necessary, he is not doing anything constructive to contribute to the Buhari campaign. Two days ago he said he would expose Ribadu. In the past he has condemned TB Joshua, Bishop Oyedepo, Papa Adeboye, Chris Oyakhilome etc. he claim to be the only one preaching the truth. Now he turning back to claim that he sought the permission of Papa Adeboye before he decided to contest. Tomorrow, he would tell us that oyedepo wrote the CPC manifesto. Does he mean that the PDP cannot win without rigging, Buhari/Bakare should not deceive themselve. It would be very difficultfor them to win the North central and certain states in both the North East and West. |
Buhari has never cleared himself of the corruption accusations heaped on him by onogoruwa, while buhari was heading the oil sector as a military officer. It was these accusation that led him to overthrow the shagari regime. Please remember that as military head of state he confiscated documents that could prove him culpable. He ran PTF as a czar and has never accounted for 'stewardship'. His partnership with overly ambitious bakare is a recipe for calamity. Only an ambitious man like Bakare will allow himself serve under a man like buhari. Why do we like celebrating mediocrity in Nigeria.Buhari is part of a military cabal that has set this country on a backward spiral. If nigeria was a normal country Buhari should be managing a chief security officer job in a small company |
THE TRUTH ABOUT BUHARI REVEALED Originally By: Kekere ekun In my books, Buhari is a pretentious anti-corruption fighter. The trajectory of a man's journey in public life matters. For the follwoing reasons I can not vote for Buhari 1. He is an oligarch who does not believe in equality before the law. The way he jailed Lateef Jakande, Jim Nwobodo, Ambrose Ali, Pa Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ayo Ojewumi on cases that had no foundation and allowed Awwal Ibrahim, the then Niger State governor, who was arrested in Heathrow Airport in London with 14 million pounds sterling and several millions of Niara and dollars to be under house arrest is my evidence. He also allowed Shehu Kangiwa, Sokoto State Governor who conducted and supervised the famous Bakolori Massacre of poor peasant farmers whose land were appropriated without compesation to remain under house arrest. 1(a) Ayo Ojewumi became blind as a result of his imprisonment over false charges and died shortly after. 1 (b) Prof. Ambrose Alli also became blind as a result of this false imprisonment. When he died, he had only one undeveloped plot of land to his name. 1© Pa Adekule Ajasin was never the same after his eventual release and remained sickly for the rest of his life. Whe he died, he never had any property anywhere in the world except the one he had built from his sweat as long term teacher and school principal in Owo township. 2. He put in place a retroactive law that killed three men, innocent men in my book, by public execution. He left untouched an alleged well known drug baron in Ibrahim Babangida who later overthrew his government. 3. He jailed Ndukar Irabor and Tunde Thompson of the Guardian on stories that were factually true under Decree 4. He had told the Nigerian journalists then that it did not matter whether the story reported was true or not, if his regime did not like it, the writer would go to jail. 4. He supervised the smuggling of 53 suitcases filled with cash througth the MMA against the protests of General Tunde Idiagbon and ironically, Abubakar Atiku, the then Director General of the Customs who later became the Vice President and a compromised politician himself. This smuggling of the suit cases were supervised by his ADC, Col. Mustapha Jokolo. 5. He jaile Fela Anikulapo -Kuti on trumped up charges under emergency law which prompted the sentencing judge to confess that he was ordered to do so and apologised to the late musician 6. He convinced all the northern political leaders against allowing the National Identity Card program because according to him, this would unravel the myth of Northern population majority 7. He is an Islamic fundamentalist, the Bin Laden of Nigeria, who told his northern followers never to vote for anyone who was not a muslim. 8. He is a coup plotter. 9. He has never been able to account to Nigerians what he did with the 20 billion Naira of the Petroleum Trust Fund of which he was the chairman under Sani Abacha. 9(a) He has not been able to point to any project that he prosecuted outside the Northern Nigeria with the so-caled trust fund. 10. He was in full support of all the atrocities of Sani Abacha against the Nigerian people. There is no single record of his criticism of Sani Abacha during those dark days when Nigeria was on precipice. It shows that he is a patriot of convenience and as such unfit to lead the country. I can not in good conscience support Buhari's candidacy on the above grounds. I hope and pray that Nigerians would not make any mistake of putting him in the helm of affairs. ONLY CRACK-HEADS AND IDIOTS WILL WASTE THEIR PRECIOUS TIME TO VOTE THIS GOD-FORSAKEN SELF-MADE GENERAL. |
The Bini tradition should be respected by his subject. If the tradition says no Prince should be harassed, why not obey it. The Eriyo guy as a Bini man should should mobilise and go and beg the Oba. he stands to loose in the final analysis, no matter how he goes about it. The Bini respects their tradition a lot, So let him not think he can call the Oba bluff. |
