Why won't the PDP say so when the son of the PDP National Chairman is indicted by the fuel subsidy probe. This is part of the grand plot to stop the subsidy probe and for the house to negotiate soft landing for its members that are facing criminal charges. Also we should note that the threat by the house is as a result of the late release of allocation. When allocations are released, the members of the house would collected their share from the ministries and parastatals. So watch for the their double speak when monies would be released What they are doing is just a game. |
Those that hate GEJ are getting paranoid by the day. I thought every one here is free to express his mind. Why do some people believe that they have the right to hate GEJ and others should not support him. Once someone supports GEJ tenaciously he becomes a paid agent abi. |
floriana: AIT is Nigerian vilest and most disgusting TV station. I have watched with great concern how the useless station has descended into the abyss over time. This was a station that was bankrupt years back and we had to contribute alms to help offset its huge debt and keep it on air. From very ridiculously looking presenters like Oloyede Oworu to the present Kaakaki ladies (Usama and Adaora) who continue to exhibit intelligence below that of a 5th grader in their analysis, style and presentation, it has all been foolish output from the very viceful station. This is the kind of TV station one sometimes secretly wishes boko haram will help keep of the air once and forever more.My brother your condemnation of AIT is too much. They have tried to present issues in a balanced manner. They may not be perfect but they are trying. Just that some people expect them to be very condemnatory of the present government; but they would only do that if they have reasons to. During the fuel subsidy issues they listened to both sides; during the Edo election they were the major instrument for sensitizing the electorate. Please lets give praise where it is needed. |
Kano the commercial capital of the north is down. Jos the tourism capital of the north is gone. Kaduna the political capital of the north is on tenterhooks Maiduguri the first point of call of islam in north Nigeria and home of reknown kanem Borno empire is gone. Potiskum with the largest cattle market in west africa is gone. When all these were happening they all kept silent. They thought they were punishing Goodluck Jonathan. In their attempt to get at the President, they did not mind whether their homeland is destroyed. So sad. However it is not too late to remedy the already bad situation. i just hope they dont start planing another strategy of destabilization. |

The members of the reps are so concerned with the implementation of the budget not for national interest but for the release of more funds so that they can collected their cuts from the contracts that have been heavily padded by Ministries and Parastatal. Their modus operandi is to make ministers and heads of parastal pad the contract sum for specific projects during their budget defense at the national assembly. They also expect speedy implementation so that they can collect the money meant for the contracts for their constituency project and then frolic with it. Telling us that they want to impeach the President for national interest is like telling us we have horns on our heads. If they re acting in national interest they should first and foremost cut down on their numerous allowances and entitlement, suspend the members that have been found wanting in their midst and account for all the monies that have collected for non existent constituency projects. Then we can start believing them. |

They are just chasing shadow? The same house that is still protecting Farook. They are too deep into corruption to carry out their threat. They are just grandstanding. This one na shakara |

sombade(m): Most of you miss the message and remain deficient in rational thinking and logical thought process. You may hate GEJ all you want but kindly give him his due when deserved. He was being very gracious and bipartisan to congratulate Oshiomole on his well deserved win. The sad story of PDP in Edo State is all clear to Mr. President and from reliable sources he has a soft spot for Oshiomole and silently rooted for him to win despite of a different party. The several visits to the Oba was obviously to fulfil all righteousness. Mr. President has evidently shown (at least for the most part)that in this administration he wont sacrifice credibility on the altar of nepotism Let us criticise him constructively. In my opinion, GEJ is a reasonable good man by our Nigerian standards, he may just not be tough enough to handle the hydraheade problems Nigerian is facing at the moment. Just like any of us in our little homes and offices - we have our praises and shortcomings. God will bless you for your objectivity |
It is very convenient for us to blame government, poverty and sundry other reasons for this tragedy, but the truth in this situation is as follows; - Even if the road is fully dualised and a tanker fell there, the people would still go there to scoop fuel. - Everyone knows the danger of fuel because we use it at home all the time, so claiming ignorance would not be an excuse. - Even when they were warned they still insisted in scooping the fuel. - Several incidences of this nature Has happened in other part of the country yet people still refuses to learn. - The average Nigerian would steal when he has the opportunity. When someone picks up a phone that have mistakenly been misplaced by the owner or another person's property he he sees it as blessing, rather trying to wait until the rightful calls or trues to locate it. - It is not the government that told the toyota corolla and the mazda bus that were involved in the accident that caused to the trailer to loose control to driver recklessly. - We must know how to aportion blame, all blame should not go to the government, the people also have the role. - THE MAJOR CAUSE OF THIS DISASTER IS GREED, NOTHING ELSE. |
There is too much hype about TM shirts. There are so many other good labels such as RiversIsland, HM, LOGG, Moto, Burton, Next, Cedawood State etc. all these are labels with very good fabrics and products. What the Aba guys do is to reproduce popular labels like the TM label and reproduce such product using imported fabrics. The quality you get from Aba product varies depending the tailor. There are tailors in Aba that ever used machine for button hole and very high quality gum stay and laden. They do this for very popular products and it just happens that TM is the rave of the moment hence their focus on it. For those that cant afford UK TM, then Aba would just do. Also remember that your dress sense plays a great role in how fitting your clothing looks on you. |
The victims are totally stupid. No one should sympathise with them. It has happened before at Jesse-Delta State, somewhere in Abia State, in Lagos State; yet people would not learn. Ho much would they sell the fuel they are scooping. Nobody should blame government for this. It is their total foolishness that caused all these. |
Posters in Nairaland are realy funny. They are turning the forum into a comic site. You must reply to any post if you don't have the answers rather than being insulting or giving foolish answers. NUC regulates Universities while NBTE regulates Polytechnics, monotechnic and other specialized institutions. Thus Polytechnics are outside the sphere of control of NUC and as such they cannot make pronouncement stopping part time programmes in polytechnics. |
Even if it i the student of the Edo State Institute of Management and technology that were throwing stones at the governor's convoy, the question we must ask is that , is throwing stones the best way to address the issue at hand? If the governor has promised to address the student and vist their school because it is getting late that day (6.30pm) would it not have been proper for them to take the governor by his words and return back to their school. is their action the best way to get government attention. Definitely those sets of students must have been misinformed or instigated by groups that have the intention of embarrassing the governor. Those condemning the ACN led government of Oshiomole should realise that he would not fix the state in just three years. The state has been under slavery for 10 years of PDP rule. So far he is doing well and if the Igbinedion led PDP has done up to 20% of what he has done in 3 years the state would have been transformed by now. |
One of the foremost things good education does for any individual is to make him/her more cultured and civil. Thus, decent individual don't resort to name calling and insultive comments. We may respect proff. Ayittey for his Professorship but when it comes to bridling his tongue and choosing his words, then the extent of his education should be called to question. It was the same Proff. Ayoittey that called Presiddent Goodluck Jonathan an insane person. We have notable Prof. in africa in the likes of Prof. Ali Mazrui; they have not resorted to name calling even on leaders and citizens of nations whose situation is far worse than that of Nigeria. To say we are battered and broken is very funny. I dont know whether Proff. Ayittey have lived in any part of Nigeria. But one thing he should know that a nigerian is the most resilient Black person in the world. We have scaled through the darkest hours and murkiest waters. He should know that Nigeria is not a nation where one man would rule for 10 years unquestioned like other African nation. If he is in doubt he should ask the late Abacha, IBB and OBJ. Nigerians are creating new survival opportunities everyday with little or no government support. We may be passing through difficult time; but to say we are battered and broken is statement inspired by satan/lucifer and ecause of this I may be tempted to forgive the professor |
I really wonder why a lot of people like frivolities. Why do you need to know or see GEJ thesis. It is only recently that universities in Nigeria have started digitizing thesis and research work and putting same on the net for others to access. A Ph.D. is not easy to come by; there are several universities in Nigeria and abroad currently selling admission forms for Ph.D. programmes, if you think it is easy, go pick a form and start a Ph.D. programme in your own field of interest. We should be objective in our criticism, the fist question when criticism someone is to check our motive; is our criticism aimed at ridiculing or insulting the person concerned. We may not like GEJ but we should be fair to him, very few Nigerian would ever have the oppurtunity of becoming President, whether we like it or not in the next 100 years when the story of Nigeria would be told, GEJ would be remembered (either for good or bad) but a lot of u here would only be remembered in years to come by our family and friends after we have passed on. He may not become our best President ever but certainly he would not be the worst man that have ruled Nigeria. |
this scenarios arises as a result of misplaced values and societal perception. People generally feel a fair looking person is more beautiful. but that is not always d case because when you get close to them you discover that they dont look as beautiful as you think. what baffles me is when you see some men using bleaching cream. sometime you may want to excuse the ladies when it is done moderately, however for those men that uses bleaching cream I wonder what they are looking for. sometimes the use of bleaching be a sign of lack of self confidence, inferiority complex or not being of who and the way you are. |
I quite agree with the poster. No part of the North is really safe. Safety in this sense does not mean absence of bombs from this Boko Haram guys, what about the multiple cases of rape and violation of female coup members in some states. Recently all coup member in a town called Gitata along the new Keffi-kachia road in Nassarawa State were raped with some hausa youths. Incidents like this amount to insecurity. |
Leave her alone, time answers everything. Very soon the truth would be revealed |
Igbidedion University is filled with spoilt brats and uncontrollable children. tomorow these same girls would become married women and mothers. this a pointer to where we are going to in this society. |

Zinox, Omatek and other are only using FoxCom board to ouple their systems. Some of their systems are not better than those cloned at the Ikeja Computer Village or Zone 3 Computer Plaza in Abuja. Moreover their after sales support is very very poor |
