shymmex: @Michelin89 has to be the most intelligent, open-minded, and knowledgeable female poster on NL..Naa, i disagree. I vote Ogugua88 for that position. ![]() **closes eyes and imagines ogugua simultaneously preparing delicious egusi soup in his kitchen and discussing the limits of wealth, equity and justice in a capital economy...** (dont tell her i said so o!!) ![]() |
davidylan: ... the REAL REASON is that you are immature, selfish and unable to tolerate the faults of others while assuming you are beyond reproach (this is not an insult to you, i learnt this about me too the hard way).Bingo. I was wondering how long it'd take before someone pointed this out. In any case, folks with ''its-not-me-its-the-rest-of-the-world'' complexes (like yours truly ) prefer to learn it the hard way, so like relax michelin, u're still young - i kanka, i ga-aghota ije! (when u're older, u'll be wiser!) |
Amaryah: But wait a minute, it's not that he soak his body into the gutter, just lay his body for the woman to pass, no bigggie naw! This poster has the intellectual capacity of a plate of amala. Calling u stewpid would be a compliment. |
@OP, u said u wana love again (as opposed to being loved). Well, for a woman, thats easy as pie. Find someone u like and respect - oh, u already have one, good - and get him to give you a shot of his best. Get him to jump your bones, no strings attached, again and again and again. He may not love u for it, but i guarantee u will love him after that. |
fubbyy: This is a total bullshyt...This dude's comment is even funnier than the original post! Ingirish hard o! |
You are beyond redemption. Can someone please ban her? She is beginning to behave wierd
Lwkmd! Been following this ''chic's'' posts; surprised anyone's falling for this prank... |
Tgirl4real: I can see that the following n follower thingy has been removed. I kinda miss it sha. I hope d 'like' has been adjusted to reveal those that liked your post. I have refused to click it till I'm sureDo NOT - i repeat, do NOT click on it!! |
mission08: What matters is getting to know each other well enough before marriage.Well we're back to Square One again... HOW LONG does this ''getting to know each other'' take?? Hey u know what? Lets make it a bit more real: How long would YOU would need to know someone enough to consider marriage? |
ICEMAN01: ..Both sexes have their likes and/or dislikes..That's only human..so how does that make anyone Gay?..millions of women slate men everyday about what they detest..are they therefore all Lesbians??Would like to see your reply to this, queensmith... |
I've read the books too, and yes, i watched series first too. The books started out really wonderfully and i was convinced i was reading the next best thing since Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. But sad to say, and remember its just my opinion, the quality of the books started deteriorating after the third installment - A Storm of Swords, i think. I think the major problem is that our dear author got kinda lazy... If i remember right, it took him over 5 years between the 4th and 5th book; the amusing thing is that both books are supposed to be 2 parts of the same book. Mmmm. After the 5th, Dance with Dragons, which ended with a rather boring cliff-hanger, i just got tired of the whole thing. |
Yeah, i think some quality courtship period is essential, the aim being to get to know your future spouse on a personal level. Now the whole thing is like a Catch 22; you cant know for sure if you two are compatible unless u spend quality time together. But then if at some point in the relationship u realize that its a no-no, the entire time and effort u've already put in would just seem to be a colossal waste. @chamotex, hey where u been? |
Rocktation: Hehe. When you're done, follow them again, then come back and tell us.Naa, chances are they won't accept me back... Hey wait o, shey u dont even need the person to accept before u start following 'em? Mehn, Seun don spoil everything - now folks wont even have the pleasure of REFUSING to allow me follow them! ![]() fluid26: I know how it feels.U're in the spirit, bro. Here, have a beer... |
Tgirl4real: This is the height of it all . . . Kay, u are joblessI'm not o, hmm, dont even wish me that! Experienced it once; not in a hurry to taste it again ![]() |
^^ But its true na! Check the topics on the frontpage. Seun's busy promoting some new mobile nigerian forum he recently created, he's abandoned nairaland to mukina. |
^^ All of the above ![]() |
Nice suggestion. But sadly u've forgotten something VERY crucial: this is no longer Nairaland; it is now MUKINAland. |
Sweetie, log off the web.
Oya say 'please'... |
Tgirl4real: whadddaaa. . . .Nope! Anom ebe a! I just felt like doing something naughty and feel-good-ish and totally 'windeck'! mmm, maybe its that crazy streak in all of us that the Joker keeps joking about... |
joudini: Hehehe. When l read ur epistle, l had to look at the handle again and l was like ok! Kay9 had that inkling tooI tell u say d guy na pastor goody-goody. |
So he played the drum for how many hours? And the flute how many hours? While we are at it, lemme me remind u that u're now implyin that it doesnt necessarily mean the said 10,000hrs must be spent doing what later made the person in question successful and famous. Put simplier, neither the drum nor the flute made D'banj the success he is today, so why add up the hours he spent on them? |
queensmith: the men are funny no doubt, they even deserve to be cheated on sef. its not as if theyre good for anything.Naughty gurl. ![]() |
Rocktation: You are sooo funny Kay9. But yeah, I know that feeling. He can be so...sometimes! ![]() |
slimyem: you can do all of the above and the man still wouldn't worship, adore or respect you if he wouldnt! For once, i'll humbly reply an NLer... Swthrt, NO man can withstand a woman who treats him like a king; its built into our genes to mellow and melt like jelly whenever a WOMAN treats us like we're Adonis, Obama and a lil bunny rolled into one. I'm not saying go pick some random guy off the streets and treat him so. No. Chances are he'll just run away What i'm saying is, if u have this guy u're already close to, and u suspect might be considering taking things a bit more serious, just turn the charm on him. Its magic.- But there's a catch: can u sustain it? Or are u just pretending? Just like girls, guys can spot a fake act too. And then it'll be messy. My two cents is that the axe swings both ways; guys are experts at sweeping girls off their feet with the same working principle. ![]() |
What is GEJ's personal secretary on NL doing in the romance section?
*eyes widen* Me too, i wonder o. |
U know, i actually agree with Oriks - dont cheat if u dont wana be cheated on, etc., bla bla bla... BUT the fact that ORIKS, Pastor Goody-goody Numero Uno, had to say it, i dunno, i just wana laugh and yab and derail the whole kiniko, lol... . . . But hey, seriously, Oriks is a nice guy, i like him.... No homo. ![]() |
Yup, i just UNFOLLOWED someone! And i'm so happy! Haha Mmm, it just sorta gives me this tingly gingerly cuspy ball of happiness in my tummy. I think i'll go do it again... |
*yawns* To think i went outta my way to wish u a happy married life in the other thread... What a waste. Op, get a life; u're wasting valuable bandwidth. |
shymex: What babes? I'm a monk, I'm trying to be celibate for a long long time, beau.Uhh, a ''beau'' is actually male... |
I bet D'banj didnt do anything for up to 10,000 hours. Hell, i'll go a step further: that Maclaurkin (spelling?) kid from the Problem Child/Home Alone multi-million dollar movie series hadn't even ACTED up to 10,000 hours before being a billionaire. So, what is it your theory says again? |
blank: My kitchen is my personal space. I don't know how i will feel sharing it with so many people. I don't want people walking about my kitchen and opening cupboards and just generally being a pest when i am in the kitchen. Also, u can't cook half naked if people are going to be seeing u.All this ''my space'' ish, well different strokes i guess but it so reminds me of whats-her-name in Tyler Perry's Madea Goes To Jail who wanted some ''me-time''... ![]() U could always throw on an extra layer when u have folks around na. |
Kobojunkie: Now I am beginning to doubt there was a 'sting' to begin with.I tire o |
malc619: Once upon a "dollar"....Clint Eastwood could teach them a thing or two... A Fist-full of Dollars. |
