It all depends on the person, I be big fan of many Hollywood films before coming so I believe that rili helped my speech and listening skills, I caught that immediately, I believe if you are very active on campus you should be able to get a job or volunteering in school also helps (unpaid work) sometimes can lead to paid work, for dia attitude Canadians are nice honestly and very helpful just that its not very easy to mix up with them immediately because of cultural difference (note this is my experience it may be different for others), the first week may not be so easy because you are tryin to settle down and knw ur way around but once you knw ur way around then everything becomes beautiful...normally by the 2nd week u should know ur way ard except its a rili big city like Toronto or Vancouver, its quicker and easier to knw ur way ard in smaller cities.

Anyone need help with Conestoga College or anyother info u feel I may be able to answer, bin here 6 months now! Cheers!

I don turn to professional barber since I come here o! lol, been barbing myself for the past 6months now, am pretty good now unlike my 1st month, even me nor understand the haircut wen i finish the 1st time but now e dey make sense, to barb here is around $20 here cept in Toronto I heard some places can take $10 or $15. It takes adjusting to get used to the pricing here...but we dey manage am by God's grace.

Congrats to everyone who has been called for medicals and dose who got dia visa, I have been in Canada for 6months now and the experience has been rewarding though honestly school is very tasking that's y I couldn't keep up with nairaland. I paid using a Form A method, my account was debited accordingly, I paid straight to the school's account, then school promised me a receipt immediately they see the Telex copy of the transaction, immediately I got my telex I sent it to school. My soft copy receipt was ready in 20mins, I did it very fast cus when I visited the embassy to ask about my application status (u may knw my app was like 6-7months long)...they told me dats all I need to do dat every other tin was ready so thats y I had to explain to school to co operate and they did...if not i hrd it takes some time before receipts r issued...to cut d long story short....my visa was issued d next day.

I have gotn my VISA and words can't express how happy I am...All Glory goes to God...Thank you Jesus!!! Submitted Sept 20th, Medical call Dec19th but did it on Jan 7th, Visa out March 29th, u Can go to page 270 of part 3 for documents i submitted, also am Highly favoured cus my Cousin's husband was my sponsor which I knw is a rare case scenario to use such a sponsor and get the Visa still. Am so happy , waited 7months for this, God is good!!!! Virgin Passport, only Ghana was stamped on my passport, Thanks house for all your Moral support, u guyz kept me going...One love people!

I got admission to mun for fall semester 2012 due to some family problem i couldn't submitt my application to the embassy untill october 31th for winter semester. I was called for medicals late januaury, Did my medicals on 7th of feb. Had big time trouble paying the balance of my tuition via credit card but later did a transfer,submitted it 18th of dis month deadline don pass ooh. But wrote a correct later explaning my self.
Let me cut the story short [color=#000099][/color] i got an email saying that my application has been approved,my vfs status has changed too. Pls help me thank God i'm really over joyed .Wish all trv/medical hopefuls the best!

Robbie37: Dear all after 6months and 6days my visa and Study permit has been issued. My status changed yesterday morning on vfs, then I started to wait for the famous email that tells you your application has been approved. My people I wait tire, couldn't sleep.

I received the email just as I was walking into VFS's gate so as I was opening the package I was also opening the email attachment that contains the news.

I would be posting the supporting documents details shortly.

I pray that all awaitees get their heart desires.

For TRV awaitees I saw quite a no. of packages so keep faith!

U just made my day, so happy for u brah, jst like u will say, ds is just d beginning of better tins to come , God even has more in store for u, congrats brah....ds is awesome.

ifegy: HI Kaycee, no probs; I do whatever I can by God's shouldn't be a problem in most cases. Just follow the application procedures and deadlines for the program you want, and if you're qualified, you'll get in. If you then need to adjust your study permit, just ask your school's office for international students for pointers and they will direct you/ As long as you are studying what you want and on track to achieving your goals. I honestly can't think of any negative effects of switching. Hope this helps.
