Lock down winner was known from week 1 too, of not for Erica that was like a threat at a time almost every one knew Laycon would win.

The world was on a literal lock down. What were people to do except watch TV? The engagement and national interest was simply because people didn't have much to do. The show itself was just meh. Remember they own an American sport team too..If you follow American sport well, you will see that they don't do this buy and sell kind of transfer business.. What they do is trade! We almost lost one of those competitive housemates tonight in Adekunle cos of this rubbish , he has been steadily gaining momentum outside the house that he is a top 5 now and he has also been loosing love amongst his fellow housemates, what is it was Adekunle in Amaka's shoes tonight Would it have been fair on him after doing so well to build his momentum ?

So for the remaining weeks now, housemates will start fake love, fake attraction and fake forgiveness, some housemates would not express their anger, sadness openly again, there would be less bickering, gossiping, gbas gbos etc, when you're bullied now you suck it up, so someone like Doyin would not want to face Adekunle anymore so as not to create further impression about herself, even Adekunle would soften now as well all cos they want love from their housemates incase of eviction, Total rubbish and waste of time, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole dynamic of the house takes a 360 degree from now onwards

She responded by saying that she knows he's not going anywhere, of all people he's one of the people she know will be safe this week. How tf is that asslicking? She should have ignored him? What you failed to include is that Dangote still showed interest in rehabilitating the refineries starting with PH..but Yar Adua rejected it..

Have you asked yourself why Dangote still embarked upon building his own despite the facts that subsidies remain..

yess the business isnt profitable ordinarily..this is why FG spends trillions to those in the Business to make it profitable as they keep importing.. Dangote could have taken over the refineries and FG allocates the subsidies to him as his rights...if FG doesnt promptly pay Dangote increases the prices of his product for him to generate his profit.. It quite tedious and unnecessarily complicated which is why ni investor wants to take that risk..but Dangote wanted to bear all this and rehabilitate a 210,000 bpd refinery in PH.. and Yar Adua just quenched it..

Today are we not in the mercy of Dangote to finish his refinery..and if he does if the price of PMS is not allowed to rise aboveN400 as it should normally be without subsidies...dont you think NNPC will now allocate all the trillions sent abroad in scarce FOREX to Dangote?

But what is happening currently would still happen, if the government is paying Dangote the subsidy payment some of y'all would still term it corruption and a dirty deal between Dangote and FG to make money amongst themselves, if crude prices increases , Dangote would ask for increase in subsidy payment and y'all would still shout more , the shouting would be amplified , if the government refuses to pay Dangote, the pump price will increase , if the goverenment negotiates the subsidy out with Dangote and pay little increase the rest of the margin would still be transferred to the pump price increasing the pump price still, why is Mukesh Ambani raking billions upon billion of dollars and ranking higher on forbes, cos of deals such as this, he owns one of the biggest if not the biggest refinery in the world , no matter how you look at it, increase in inflation amounts to increase in dollar rate, so increase in international crude price which is in dollars with the increase in dollar rate would cause increase in the amount to refine and yield increase in pump price, simples.

They did not, they continued with subsidy. That is what chased away private hands from rehab and operating refineries., or even doing new ones.

Subsidy means that fuel would be sold at a loss, and government pays the petroleum industry some money..the subsidy...to cover that loss. In practice, since costs of production rise all the time...the subsidy is inadequate.

That is why we haven't had any new refineries from NNPC...NNPC has always operated at a loss for a long time.

If GEJ-Yaradua had removed subsidy, yes, we would have been buying fuel at N150 as early as 2011, BUT....there would have been enough incentive for private people to run refineries.

Privatising refineries does not mean that Company W would come and build new refinery from you...they must surely make a profit while doing so. If they cannot...they won't come. Using an example from the GSM sector...all those facilites MTN, Airtel, and Glo built...ya think they would have done so if government did not allow them to set the price of their service..so that they could recoup their investment.

Nigerians need to give up this idea that fuel must be cheap...it is driving away investment.

I decided to quote this post cause from the first page till I got to this quote nobody was having any sensible discussion just curses, insults and emotional statements here and there, while you have analysed the problems , the solution you're offering would be worse on this same people complaining about the marginal increase at intervals, APC is not doing any thing different from what PDP did, and this was because PDP government in power knew the problem and realised that the solution was total removal of subsidy or having up to 5 refineries working at optimum capacity to refine our products and have fuel readily available, and even this is not going to totally solve the problem cause refinery operators opened for business purpose and not charity and would demand prices to make the money on their investment back. APC have seen what the PDP government were going through them and now see that like the previous government their hands are tied now, how do you decide between total removal of subsidy with the price jumping to 600-800 naira or also leaving subsidy and account for over 4 trillion of your budget spent on it.

For those that are calling Tinubu on this matter I don't understand how this is linked to him except you just want to use any current negative news as tool to bring down his campaign and project your own candidate, at the end of the day any one of them would be taking a solution that would still have dire consequences on the people, for how long I cannot say, Atiku's idea of selling all the refineries is not looking bad currently but even after selling it would take years to repair/revitalise these refineries and in the interim decision would have to be made on total subsidy removal or continuous payment same for Peter Obi, if we can think smartly there is a reason since 1999 we have been having this subsidy discussion with different people in government, even if one is dumb they can't all be dumb I suppose

Even when these refineries have been repaired , these private companies would want to make money back on their investment and will still be the one fixing our fuel prices and so don't expect the prices falling down drastically like the miracle people are proscribing here, with all the refineries in the US, gas prices have almost doubled in months with their oil companies posting massive profits (which is what all private companies want to achieve including the ones in Nigeria ) same for a number of other countries in the west, lastly currently we have ( at least we've been told ) total subsidy removal on diesel and within one year the diesel prices have doubled we have not seen the positive effect of that subsidy removal on diesel so what makes you think petrol would be different , Also if you think Dangote will spend over 13 billion on his refinery to crash our fuel prices for us I can sell you anything then, even with him being the largest cement manufacturer, he has not crashed the price of his cement so why would he do different with the refinery and petrol/ diesel prices Summary of the matter is that eventually our pump prices will reflect the going rate compared to majority of countries over the world, it will have to increase to a much extent. Anyways I don't know much maybe people can advise me better

There are many ex-governors we can count that did much better than him, even Kwankwaso of Kano. i have seen this many times, the kind of campaign and electioneering we do in this country is strange, defending what even the law has rightly stated as a crime/offense in the books, declaring beloved candidates as faultless, flawless, saintly no wonder we end up getting disappointed all the time they finish their tenure, did anyone watch the 2020 election season in the US, democrats were the ones posting the mistakes Biden made as a law maker, democrats posted his errors, his gaffes as well as his strengths online and they left it to the people to be the judge, even ahead of the election democrats didnt make Biden the second coming of Obama, or FDR etc, the voters that voted him saw him as a sane unifier that can take them away from Trump and his destructive and divisive right wing politics , when are we going to grow to the level of having such discussions about our candidates?, i am so sure if i was listing Tinubu and Atiku's scandals here , their supporters would be doing same as you all are doing and you guys would be backing me up.
