dustmalik:
That question should be directed at Jonathan and Dasuki, not Buhari.
Buhari has been in power for 6 months. He set a deadline of December for the eradication of Boko Haram.
Now I ask you, is it that he has not spent money on the army and MNJTF for the eradication of BH in 6 months, yet he gave them a target?
If he has, why are they running out of ammunition, and why should the question be directed at Jonathan and Dasuki?

Objective in what sense? Her annoyance is the fact that the Nigerian Army and most APC supporters have been denying the incident, despite reports to the contrary. If you ask me, she's the one being objective.

Mynd44:
The height of hypocrisy and political inhumanity is when someone who denied the Chibok girls is suddenly championing for missing soldiers. Shows how tribal silliness has bitten into our polity *shrugs*

That said, the Chief of Army Staff need to come out clean with this. This back and forth is not helping.....I totally understand that some news should not be released so as to counter Boko Hart's propaganda but then, their families and Nigerians deserve to know the truth about this
Was there a realistic evidence that Chibok girls were kidnapped? All the accounts given at the beginning to support the kidnap were contradictory, giving some people reasons to believe that probably no kidnap happened. Did you believe the kidnap, even without evidence? Of course you did, because it supported the course you were fighting for. You joined your party to make it a campaign issue.

In this case, the conflicting reports from the military shows that something really went wrong. We can almost categorically say that some soldiers are truly dead. The lady you're attacking claims to have it on good authority that the 106 soldiers are truly dead. Rarely do people come here on NL and defend unclear circumstances like that very emphatically. She has her source, probably a military personnel in that axis. You can't expect a pictorial evidence, cos it won't certainly be available.

My question now is, why are you calling her a hypocrite?
PoliticsRe: 6 Months After: Nigerian Government Is Making Promising Progress~ The Economist by Kennydoc(m): 12:50pm On Nov 20, 2015
NgeneUkwenu:
The Areas Buhari Has Covered According the Economist Include:

1. Boko Haram, an insurgent Islamist group, has been weakened during Mr Buhari’s half-year at the helm (though bombs this week killed 43 people),

So you truly agree that Boko Haram has been weakened? How many people have been killed since May 29th? You still had the mind to lift up that point, despite the fact enclosed in bracket. Are you just dumb or what?

2. Power supplies are somewhat more reliable.

Power supply more reliable when just a few days ago, we read that supply is down to about 3,700MW or so. Is there any difference between power supply of today and what we had between 2013 and 2014? So what is the news here?

3. A bigger budget has been outlined for 2016, though it is unclear how it will be financed, and recurrent spending will be pared back.

How is this a cause of jubilation? A bigger budget which financing isn't clear about? To even imagine that the same president already plans to borrow over #2tn makes me cringe

4. More heartening is the president’s crusade against corruption.
Staff have been fired from the state oil company and customs department. Officials are tackling smuggling along leaky borders.

Crusade against corruption on paper, while corrupt former governors of Kogi and Bayelsa have won party tickets to contest in their gubernatorial elections. All the shout about hundreds of thousands of barrels of crude being stolen under GEJ, yet there is no increase in the recorded daily crude sales, now that no barrel of crude is being stolen again. Who are you guys deceiving?

5. To reduce fraud, an opaque network of government bank accounts has been replaced by a centralised system.

Previous administration initiated the process. It only became imperative that it should be executed quickly cos the government is broke, and all avenues to raise money needed to be employed quickly.

5. Several politicians, including the president of the Senate, a former oil minister and an ex-national security adviser, are under investigation.

Several politicians of the opposition fold, while those of the ruling party keep enjoying their loot. Some even used part of their loot to sponsor the acclaimed "incorruptible general" into power. Talk about self deceit

6 .Meanwhile, biometric registration at banks should expose more money laundered by civil servants and their stooges. High-rollers are on their best behaviour. Lamudi, a property company, reports a slowdown in expensive sales, partly explained by the fact that the rich would rather not be seen splurging.

Biometric registration in banks was started by the former administration.

With Muhammadu Nnamdi Buhari As Our President , Nigeria Is Now On The Wheel To Greatness!

Please Take A Bow Sir!
So I now ask you, what is there to celebrate in that news?
You guys should tell your general to start real work already. Nigerians are tired of waiting.

Watch the misguided hungry IPOB youths waiting for Buhari's 5k stipend call one of their own a Yoruba. They can get their 5k stipend after Nnamadi Kanu becomes their president in year 2200!

Ever since Buhari assumed office; He has been clearing all the mess and Bobby traps set for him by the Last administration.

Imagine with the booming oil price over the years with a reserve left at over 150 billion dollars reserve Jonathan, Dansuki, Okonjo, Deziani and others depleted it to as low as 30 billion dollars with nothing to show for it.
@bolded
Guy,are you sure you're okay? Are you disoriented? When was Nigeria's reserves up to $150bn? Can't you just read with attention?
PDP left our reserves at $30bn, which is 6 times of what it was in 1999. Does that not imply that it was $5bn in 1999?

Now, what does the article in quote tell you?
Yes, it should have left more than $100 billion in reserves but left only $30 billion (still about six times of what it met). We also wish that Jonathan’s team did not leave Nigeria with unprecedented rate of debt accumulation. But, according to statistics from NBS, the PDP handed over a $550 billion economy (largest in Africa and 26th in the world), with 7.5% unemployment rate (better than European Union, France, Sweden, Belgium, etc although the underemployment figure is much higher); 32%?? poverty rate (as claimed by the former Finance Minister, or 61%??: NBS needs to clarify this claim); a stock of reserves of $30 billion; GDP growth rate averaging 6% over last 12 years; a relatively more diversified economy, with ICT penetration from 0.2% to over 60%, and a new contributory pension scheme now with trillions of Naira in pension fund. “Our external debt is down although total debt stock is escalating.

Our Gini coefficient (degree of inequality) is not different from China’s. Nigeria has consolidated and stronger banking system that currently finances both government debt and the private sector, with a relatively vibrant capital market. The capitalization of the Nigerian Stock Exchange grew from less than N1 trillion to N12 trillion as at handover. For the first time, Nigerian economy is now rated by credit rating agencies (Fitch, and Standard and Poor’s).”
HealthRe: What The Small Generator (I Better Pass My Neighbour) Is Doing To Us by Kennydoc(m): 3:03pm On Nov 19, 2015
ViNeHaNds:
We should be greatful for the ban of that small generator, why? Because The environmental toxicity due to oily fumes emitted by this little machine is very deadly, that i can honestly tell you if you have had it fumes always in your environment and obviously have been breathing it, meehn, you have been seating on a long thing because you have been initiating a process to getting your lungs and hearts in a bad unfixable health conditions, your condition will surely be worst than a chain smoker( whom is liable to die young). Someone had to safe us from ourselves.

Another accomplist on this serious environment pollution and health hazard threat common in our environment is the popular tricycle(keke napep), honestly should get the ban too.

Reason being that the combustion system of this two machines are although economical due to its top fuel efficient utilization ability, i mean it saves fuel in long working hours, but lets mind our health more and embrace this bans.

Looking at the available option in the market there are other brands offering almost same fuel utilization efficiency and extremely low prices and good quality built engines to reducing the health hazard in our environments, you can check this brands to confirm.
The small businesses can embrace this other options.
I have been victim to the unheathy voltage supply of this "i better pass my neighbour" generator, its burnt a few of my phone chargers, which gets me wondering why it chooses to blow up charges and some other home appliances but wont power a refrigerator, infact, appliances like a barber clipper will reciprocate the sound emitted by this generator (which travels in its unheathy voltage).

LETS BE GRATEFUL TO THIS BAN, ITS A NICE ONE AND SHOULD BE COMMENDED, SAY NO TO JUNK APPLIANCES POLLUTING OUR ENVIRONMENTS, CAUSING US GREAT HEALTH IMPLICATIONS, WE DESERVE BETTER WITH OUR HARD EARN MONEY.

Whats the point making all the money when you wont live to enjoy the fruits of your labour, Thank you Mr president for safing us from ourselves.

# remain bless

__VINEHANDS__
Very dumb write up.

You are talking about health hazards, is it not a person who has a worthwhile life that talks about health hazards? If a man can't feed his family and they are facing starvation, what kind of health hazard is worse than that? Or should we even talk about those who go ahead and commit suicide because they can't take care of themselves and their families.

Talking about air pollution, do you know the extent of air pollution going on in China? One of either Beijing, Shanghai or Taiwan has the most polluted air in the world. Even on a clear, sunny day, the atmosphere looks hazy because of the extent of toxic fumes from vehicles and machines being released into the air. Despite that, do Nigerians live longer than the Chinese?

Power production is just at about 3,500MW for a country that should be producing a minimum of 35,000MW. Government hasn't made any effort so far to boost the power production, yet they are quick at banning the only opportunity for people to generate power for themselves and fend for their families. Do you know what it will cost those running small businesses everyday to power bigger generators daily just to provide their needed power? What about running generators at home especially when you're not hoping to see light at night for days or weeks?

No matter how thoughtful this ban is, the timing is terribly wrong. Until power production improves dramatically in this country, such a ban as this is simply a punishment for the masses.
Did I hear you say that Keke should be banned too? E be like say your brain dey touch! I no blame you. Na d person wey buy that phone for you I dey blame, because e clear say you still be small pikin.

Even before the subsidy protest in 2012 which later resulted in increment in petrol pump price, the highest figure for subsidy claims which was recorded in 2011 was around 1.5trillion naira, or so.
Since 2012, subsidy claims has never even hit 800 billion naira, with the balance being diverted to SURE-P.
Again, how could subsidy even be anything near 1 trillion naira when crude price had fallen drastically?

Haters cry cry cry can hate all they want, they can't change the obvious fact that Yorubas are exceptionally very intelligent! tongue tongue tongue

Before the Colonial Masters left, the Britons made an historical observation while testing different tribes during Military exercises in the then new Nigerian Military. They said Yoruba military officers are unmatchably the best at inventing and developing catastrophically destructive military tactics and strategies. This was verified and corroborated during Biafran war. igbos can make chest-beat for as long as they want but, history has shown that they are not as half as intelligent as the great Yorubas! Brain is better than brawn (in fact, brain rules brawn).

Even though they try so hard to deny and hide it, one reason why igbos hate Yorubas so much is because they know that Yorubas are by far FAR much more intelligent than them. All igbos strategies, French military supports, plans and profuse frantic efforts was almost giving them Victory during the war. The war dragged on for almost 3 years.
Read History, Nigeria was actually losing till the Great unUniformed super intelligent Generallisimo; the Great Awolowo stepped in on the side of the Nigeria Military. He came up with the best military strategy that quickly and most effective ended the war that has dragged on for almost 3 Years. Typical of igbos, Coward fake chest-beater, Ojukwu dressed like a woman (tail between his legs, urinating on his body) fled before the fierce mercilessly Yoruba Soldier Bejamin Adekunle the Scorpion and other soldiers. Suddenly, the senselessness igbos that had been boasting came cap-in-hand, tongue-in-cheek, using their mouth to wipe the floor, weeping and begging Nigeria to have mercy on them. Yorubas are geniuses. When next you see a Yoruba, duff your hats and bow!

Except Yorubas decides to leave Nigeria, let igbos fight 10,000 biafra wars, we would defeat them! We did it before, we'll do it again and again...
I will only take you serious when WAEC, NECO and JAMB confirm this Yoruba intelligence. As far as the South Eastern states still top the charts in these 3 exams, including the Unity Schools entrance exams, then you are just ranting.

Please remember that the first black VC in the first Nigerian University (University of Ibadan, in Yoruba land) was an Igbo man, Prof Kenneth Dike. The first black VC of UNILAG, Prof Eni Njoku was also an Igbo man. Let's not even go into the history of many firsts, including the first Professors of Mathematics, Medicine, Economics etc.
My guy, just leave that your bragging.

Went for 2 interviews for marketing posts today and I did well in the test and interview but the pay and condition seems ridiculous.

Company A said my basic salary will be between 25k and 35k and also commission on whatever customers I bring in but the worst part is I have to sign a year BOND with them and should in case I wann leave before one year, my guarantors will pay whatever is left to be met on my target...

Company B said my basic salary will be between 20k and 25k and also commission on sales or deals I get for the company... This one has no clause of BOND.

Tfare to either one I choose is btw 200 and 300 daily and I will be living in a place where I'd have to be feeding myself.

Please advise me on whether to wait for better opportunities or take one of the two offers.

Thanks

NB: I'm a BSC holder

I don't know where in a sane society such a figure would be more popular in news for street scavenging than projects commissioning. I am yet to read a news about Fayose commissioning a people oriented project and the guy has spent over a year in government.
Which projects are you expecting him to commission at a time when even the president admits that Nigeria is broke? This is a time when Osun state cannot pay it's workers despite collecting bail out from FG, and Oyo is considering cutting down salaries or retrenching workers, a time when states allocations now fall short of the recurrent expenditures.
So I ask you again, which projects are you expecting him to commission? How many APC governments have commissioned any project in the past 1 year?
