African anti-vaxxers on this thread and in Africa at large, if you can not create your own vaccines for your fellow desperate and impoverished Africans to use to prevent illnesses, then shut the hell up and let those, whether profit minded or not, do the job.

You can not be peddling conspiracy theories without offering any practical and usable solution to illnesses plaguing Africans.

Mr "asking silly questions".

Not ready to argue or prove things, just felt like asking simple questions today.

Late pastor TB Joshua, which scientific theory did he use to perform his own miracles.

Create another thread for the bolded sentence and mention me and any other atheists you feel to come and join you there. No point derailing this one. This thread is for Babs Cardini. Let the young man have his shine.
While you are in the process of creating a new thread, go and learn the meaning of:
1. Scientific Theory
2. Miracle
You can post the definitions in the thread you will create.

Nairalannd atheists, pls help me out.

Which scientific power is he using?

I don't want to hear "metaphysical".
You are seriously asking this silly question? angry Everything he is doing can be found on youtube or any online resource for magic tricks.
Ever heard of magic props? You can't perform proper magic tricks without the props. They make your magic acts look real. Even Chris Angel walking on water is with the aid of a material called Plexiglass.
The only skills you need to learn if you ever want to be a good magician is the art of distraction, sweet-talking and constant practice! Magic props do the rest! If you don't have these skills people will easily see through your tricks.
There is no supernatural or any sort of yeye power!

Career / Re: A Question For Perfectionists - Does Perfection Impede Improvement? by kevoh(m): 9:27am On Jul 09, 2021
Nothing is perfect. Good systems, people, actions, models often seem to function correctly based on their ability to detect errors and correct them automatically or gradually. This is what gives rise to improvement.
You need a standard reference before you can even claim something or someone is what you deem 'perfect'. However, what is the guarantee that even your standard reference for perfection is not flawed by other factors?

NYSC / Re: Ishaku: NYSC Should Be 2 Years, Corpers Must Be Trained To Handle Guns by kevoh(m): 5:36pm On Jul 08, 2021
ubee:
Why should corp members be looked at as the pool for recruitment of prospective soldiers?smh. Do not let the incompetence of our leaders make you miss the truth and facts of our dire reality in Naija.
Let the Army announce a national recruitment drive today, you will see a stampede of hundreds of thousands of civilians, (if not millions) converging across the recruitment centres ready to be enrolled. We have enough soldiers in this country, and if not enough then it points to incompetence of the army leadership for not replenishing their numbers.
The truth is our soldiers are poorly trained, ill-equipped and most crucially unmotivated to go to the front lines and face these terrorists head on.
It's so sad, but true.
Please go back, read and digest my initial comment very well. Stop and reflect at the place where I wrote "corps members who are willing to join the Army*...if you want to keep shaking your head after that, then I can not help you. I fail to see how having a continuous supply of a pool of willing young people from NYSC stops the National recruitment from taking place. There should be enough platforms(and incentives ) for Nigerian citizens to willingly join the army to defend their country.
If you miss the NYSC window because you are indecisive, you can always join the National recruitment after service!
NYSC / Re: Ishaku: NYSC Should Be 2 Years, Corpers Must Be Trained To Handle Guns by kevoh(m): 2:48pm On Jul 08, 2021
A better solution will be for the army to conscript corp members who are willing to join the army, immediately after they leave camp, for at least 3 years service. No tribalistic recruitment or any other mago mago, just put them on a good salary right away and watch intending corps members rush at the opportunity.

This backward strategy of forcing and banning everything never works. Show some tact Nigerian government! Use the stick and carrot approach!

Religion / Re: Dominion City & RCCG: Changing Church As A Married Woman by kevoh(m): 12:15pm On Jul 04, 2021
KKele:
She made her mind to marry him. She should be okay with his choice for his family.
If not, she can decide to stay or not. It is her choice.
Ensure you know what you are getting into before saying "I do". After that stay in it.

The problem with your response is you believe the real world is 1+1=2. No, it's not exactly that straightforward. You don't have to be ok with every decision especially one that causes you unhappiness.
You can be certain 100% about what you are getting into and still make the wrong choice or over time, your right choice becomes the wrong choice.
Factors that can easily turn a right choice to a wrong one are pretence, life altering experiences, stupidity, financial dependence, children etc.
You can not keep bottling unhappiness under the guise of following the husband's choice, if a husband decides to be a ritualist. Some people are trapped in such situations, and can not even quit the marriage because they depend 100% on their spouse to meet their financial needs!
Religion / Re: Dominion City & RCCG: Changing Church As A Married Woman by kevoh(m): 11:48am On Jul 04, 2021
Another question: To those suggesting she dumps Dominion for RCCG,

What if the husband leaves RCCG to join Olumba Olumba 2moro, should the wife still 'submit' and follow the husband there?

Christians can't even worship with their fellow Christians grin Can't get married to Christians from other denominations. Over 1000 different Christian denominations in the world with over 1000 different 'Jesuses'. Is the Jesus of Dominion city different from that of RCCG and that of Winners or Christ Embassy? I will not even add orthodox churches because Pentecostals rarely agree with them. What then do you people go to do in church every Sunday if you can't agree amongst yourselves?

Politics / Re: Fire Service Workers To Start Carrying AK-47, Other Firearms by kevoh(m): 9:25am On Jul 04, 2021
Mobs often attack fire service officials whenever called because they are not able to provide enough water to quench fire. Sometimes, the crowd often block the road instead of making way so that fire trucks can get easy access.

However, Firearms are a little bit extreme to disperse mobs. Tear gas is recommended! Most importantly, the FG should work on ensuring Fire hydrants are installed in most places and ensure there is always water for the fire hydrants. This resolves the problem instead of generating new ones.

This leads to making water available to everyone in a city and not every body digging wells and boreholes. Rather water is provided by the water board of the city where people can pay monthly or some form of payment. It's a win win situation for everyone involved.

But trust the Nigerian government to ever take the backward and extreme approach to resolving problems and creating new or more problems.

PARACLETOS:
I understand you but what is the difference between someone dying in a heatwave which has a 100% chance of escape and the one confronted with the manace of bokoharam and killer herdsmen?
Now you're comparing Apples and Oranges! I thought we were discussing extreme weathers. What has this got to do with Boko Haram and insecurity. Go back to read my previous comment to get the context of the discussion.

Your claim: Nigeria is hot that it will melt a thermometer.
This is already an exaggeration. Infact, mercury's melting point is actually -38.83 °C, which is a freezing temperature for humans cheesy and no human can survive its boiling point at over 300 °C. Likewise for the thermometer glass material which houses the mercury, it will take over 1300°C to melt glass. Any one that can survive this is super human.

Nigeria can be moderately hot but Western countries have extremes of cold and hot temperature that can kill you and/or cripple the region where it's happening.

Conclusion: Nigeria is not that hot like you claimed (melting a thermometer grin). If a choice was given to pick between Nigeria and Western countries like Russia, Canada, US, based on the weather/temperature alone and nothing else(not insecurity, not development, not GDP or any other factor just weather/temperature), then Canada and US are not necessarily good choices. Just because snow looks good in pictures doesn't mean you can not die in a winter storm, if trapped. Worse harmattan can do to you is crack your lips and the sole of your feet.... tongue

I've spent some time in Yola. I know the damage Yola heat does to the batteries of some of our equipment. They get fat and can explode if not taken out and disposed of. Like I said, even our extreme heat can be managed through airconditioned cars and houses if you have the financial resource to acquire such.

However, I have not heard or seen anyone die from Yola heat. Do you know what a heatwave is? Do you know how many people die from heatwaves? Do know what wildfires are? Do you know and understand the damage wildfires cause?
