PoliticsRe: Anti-corruption War Has Just Begun — Magu by Kiakia(m): 6:37pm On Jan 11, 2016
These Senior Advocates conspire to frustrate the campaign against corruption with the connivance of some judges who compromise their position for filthy lucre. Imagine a lawyer standing surety for a person accused of fraud! Is what he was taught at the Law School? How much did that fraudulent fellow pay him to warrant his desecration of ethics of the legal profession? And where is NBA when you need them? Should the body condone such disgusting behaviour from a lawyer? EFCC is doing it's best but the slow pace of the courts makes it appear as if it's efforts are in vain. It will be better if FG sends a bill to the National Assembly seeking for the creation of a special court for the trial of corruption cases. This will help fast-track the determination of this cases in record time.
PoliticsRe: Brass LGA Now Trending In Twitter: See What People Are Saying (snapshot) by Kiakia(m): 3:25pm On Jan 10, 2016
What goes around comes around. However, if the election is free and fair, devoid of rigging and manipulation, let the winner be announced. But from on-the-spot reports from political correspondents of various newspaper houses, the Bayelsa supplementary election which held yesterday was anything but free and fair. It was marred with violence and massive rigging. The gladiators should have reined in their over-zealous supporters.
PoliticsRe: FG Approves N86.50k As Petrol Pump Price by Kiakia(m): 10:17am On Dec 30, 2015
50kobo reduction in the pump price of PMS with the attendant removal of petroleum subsidy is the way to go. Away with the Marketers and Petroleum subsidy! They have held Nigerians to ransom enough.
PhonesRe: "Pay N780billion Fine By 31st December" - NCC To MTN Nigeria by Kiakia(m): 10:14am On Dec 30, 2015
If MTN pays the fine tomorrow, then the res in the case is destroyed and the purpose of filing the action in court rendered nugatory. NCC having raised a team of senior lawyers to defend the case in court has become aware of it's existence and should not threaten to enforce the sanction. That will be against the Rule of Law.
PoliticsRe: Foreign Students Scrambling For Selfie With Jonathan - Pics by Kiakia(m): 5:48pm On Dec 23, 2015
Taking a selfie with foreign students means nothing. They always scramble to do that with any personality of note and not necessarily for any other superfluos reason. There is no disputing the fact that GEJ was clueless as a President of this country and could have ran Nigeria aground had he been elected for a second term in office. Fortunately, he was voted out. Now, see the cankerworm being revealed about his inept administration. And this is only a fraction of it!
CelebritiesRe: Femi Branch Charged To Court For Issuing Dud Cheque (photos) by Kiakia(m): 5:38pm On Dec 23, 2015
I do not know if a journalist or a hack writers wrote this story but whoever it is got the facts of the bail condition muddled up. Femi Branch could not have been granted bail on self recognition and still be remanded in prison custody until he fulfills the condition for his release. Besides, monetary conditions are not attached to bail on self recognition. The writer should note this discrepancies and report professionally.

PoliticsRe: Essien Ayi Sleeps During 2016 Budget Presentation - See Photo by Kiakia(m): 5:19pm On Dec 23, 2015
Since there is no sharing of money involved, that guy can afford to sleep. But it is unfortunate and shameful that a man voted by his people to represent them at the Senate can fall asleep during such an important occasion that requires him to be alert. His people may consider recalling him for sleeping on duty, seriously!
PoliticsRe: Ikpeazu And Obasanjo Commission Roads In Aba (Photos) by Kiakia(m): 7:22pm On Dec 19, 2015
Substandard roads! I doubt the durability of these hurriedly commissioned roads. They may not survive the first rains next year. And Obasanjo agreed to this scam by commissioning those unmarked roads! Politicians!
TravelRe: Embarrassing Way Some Nigerians Boarded An Aircraft Today by Kiakia(m): 7:17pm On Dec 19, 2015
Very embarassing! But is this a joke or real life situation? Is that really a passenger aircraft? I doubt if this really happened in an Airport in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Begs Nigerians To Accept Hike In Electricity Bill by Kiakia(m): 5:12pm On Dec 15, 2015
Why should Nigerians accept increase in electricity tariff without corresponding improvement in electricity supply? Fashola is bigger than this. He, of all people, should know that one does not pay for what is not supplied as is the case in this issue. This government should not add to the burden of the suffering citizens of this country. They voted for change. And positive change they must have. Fashola should advise this government of which he is part of in that regard.

He is embarassing that lady! Her expression shows it all. But Genevieve rocked it cool to that red carpet.

PoliticsRe: Fayose Wears Short Knickers To Sign The Budget (Photos) by Kiakia(m): 4:54pm On Dec 15, 2015
This man is debasing governance, reducing it to a child's play. I am now convinced that Governor Fayose is still plagued by youthful exuberance. He is yet to be weaned of that thin line existing between adolescence and an adult. How can a man, a Governor for that matter, be adorned in a lawn tennis attire to an official event as serious and important as signing the budget of a State? Ekiti people, is this what you bargained for? Unfortunate.
PoliticsRe: APC Plans To Upturn Supreme Court Judgement On My Election – Fayose (Video) by Kiakia(m): 8:00am On Dec 14, 2015
You ain't seen nothing yet, Mr. Fayose. This is just the beginning. From his broadcast, it can be easily discerned that this Governor is all yellow, no spine, but knows how to run his mouth when discretion requires the contrary. He should accept whatever comes to him in the course of the enquiry. Everybody knows that the then Federal Government rigged the election to favour him.
PoliticsRe: Why We Are Buying N4.7billion Worth Of Cars- Nigeria Senate. by Kiakia(m): 7:50am On Dec 14, 2015
Indeed, and unfortunately, nothing has changed in this country. It is still business as usual. There is no marked difference between the previous government and the present government. Insensitive politicians continues to play with the emotions of Nigerians. When will the citizens have a reprieve? So far, nothing has changed for the deprived citizens. The change mantra is yet to be felt. When will this be? Nigerians continue to hope.
PoliticsRe: Arms Deal Disbursements "I Was Acted On Jonathan's Instructions" .. Dasuki by Kiakia(m): 7:33am On Dec 14, 2015
It is time Jonathan is brought in for questioning. A former President can be jailed if found guilty of engaging in corrupt practices. It has happened elsewhere before. Nigeria cannot be an exception simply because a certain Mr. Jonathan conceded to electoral defeat which he actually lost anyways.
PoliticsRe: Ben Bruce Reacts On Question Asked About Okonjo Iweala by Kiakia(m): 7:22am On Dec 14, 2015
This twitter senator is a joke. A huge joke. I now pity the constituency he is representing because he will waste his four years twitting on irrelevancies without adding value to their lives. I though this man was going to be reckoned with at the senate but he is instead disappointing all his admirers and the voting Bayelsa people. Unfortunate!
PoliticsRe: Diezani’s 14yr-old ONLY Son Asks: Is My Mum Going To Die? As Husband Breaks Down by Kiakia(m): 8:35pm On Nov 17, 2015
What is the burial date for Dipreye S.P Alamieyesah? There has been no news of plans for his burial since his much hyped death in the media. And now Diezani Allison-Madueke! So much drama. So many spin-doctors. But of course, Buhari is no fool. At the fullness of time, all this "melo-drama and stage play" will turn full circle and the chicken will come home to roost. Today, Lamorde did not appear before a Committee of the Senate to answer to corruption charges. His lawyer said he suddenly took ill and this prompted the Chairman of the Committee to threaten him with an arrest. So, who is fooling who? Are these orchestrated attempts to evade justice and full weight of the law? Nobody knows what to believe again.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Will Soon Commend Jonathan For His Sincerity Of Purpose In Gov–dokpesi by Kiakia(m): 5:10pm On Nov 17, 2015
Damage control! Face-saving rebuttal! But too late, High Chief. The news has already gone out and is in the domain of the reading public. You were not misquoted as all saw and heard you in the media tendering those apologies and blaming your party for lacking internal democracy which led considerably to it's defeat at the polls as unpopular candidates such as the former President were imposed on the party. So save your volte-face for the gullible.
PoliticsRe: Saraki’s Legal Team Denies Walking Out On Tribunal by Kiakia(m): 12:40pm On Nov 07, 2015
Bunch of desperados who call themselves Senior Advocates but do not know that a court or Tribunal cannot stop proceedings in a criminal trial simply because you informed it orally that you filed an appeal at the Supreme Court. In effect, there was nothing before the tribunal to show that an appeal was pending at the Supreme court. And these Senior Advocates decided to walk out on the tribunal because the Chairman correctly ruled against their Application. And this Raji is here denying that they did not walk out on the tribunal and did not use the words "judicial rascality" against the learned tribunal chairman. He should tell that to the birds! These gentlemen should be sanctioned for professional misconduct if it is proved that they indeed walked out on the trubunal while it was still in session.
PoliticsRe: Saraki's Lawyers Vow To Report CCT Chairman To NJC. by Kiakia(m): 5:37pm On Nov 06, 2015
These bunch of Senior Advocates are clowns. I wonder how much Saraki paid them to make them treat a tribunal chaired by a judge with such contempt and disrespect. It is high time this discriminatory title of SAN is abolished in Nigeria. They arrogate to themselves so much pride and arrogance which defeats the purpose of the rank. They purport to be protecting the Supreme Court by disrespecting a properly constututed tribunal. They should know that the Supreme Court is well capable of protecting itself and does not need their patronising attitude in this regard. These clowns who represented Saraki attached so much importance to themselves that they openly threatend to report the tribunal chairman toi NJC. That report will amount to nothing and they know it. They are just blowing hot air. The tribunal chairman has conductd himself with so much decorum and dignity since the commencement of the trial of Saraki. He has shown strong character and has refused to be intimidated by the antics of this arrogant Senior Advocates who has chosen to bring the court and the tribunal to public odium and ridicule just to satisfy the whimsical interest of their desperate client. Section 306 of the ACJA,2015 does not permit stay of proceeding in criminal trials and the tribunal properly applied the law in refusing the application of these Senior Advocates for a stay pending the determination of their Appeal at the Supreme Court. They also know this but decided to engage in deceitful public show and shamefully playing to the gallery. Let them report the tribunal chairman to NJC and I bet they will cover their faces in shame at the outcome of their ill-informed petition. The tribunal chairman cannot be intimidated. These Senior Advocates should endeavour to preserve the sanctity of the Judiciary and the noble profession. The young ones are watching.
PoliticsRe: Fayose Interacts With Another Elderly Woman In Ekiti State (Photos) by Kiakia(m): 7:25pm On Nov 04, 2015
When a governor suddenly stops his convoy in the middle of the road like Fayose has been doing of recent, he causes traffic jam as the road will be closed at that moment by his security operatives and no car will be allowed to move until he leaves. This governor should restrain himself from this public shows. He knows what to do without causing discomfort to the residents of Ekiti State.
PoliticsRe: 'hate Him Or Love Him, Jonathan Has Left Giant Footprints - Sen Ben Murray-bruce by Kiakia(m): 7:18pm On Nov 04, 2015
I do not understand this Ben Murray-Bruce. What giant footsteps did the former President leave? Corrupt government in all sphere of our economy? He did not just say footstep but added 'giant'. This guy only tweets. Am yet to see him contribute to debates on the floor of the Senate or even make his presence felt.
PoliticsRe: Drama At Senate Over Buhari's #5000 Promise To Unemployed Nigerians by Kiakia(m): 6:24pm On Nov 04, 2015
I believe the Federal Government will still fulfill this promise. With the parlous state of the economy, it might not be feasible to do so now. Nigerians should exercise a little patience in this regard.
PoliticsRe: S’court Ruling: Nobody Can Steal My Mandate, Says Wike by Kiakia(m): 8:59am On Oct 28, 2015
Once a tout, always a tout! Thuggery should be the second name of this man. Just look at the way and manner a supposed governor is speaking ill of our judicial system. And they said that this man is a lawyer. Lawyer my foot! What has happened to the rule of law? Are the courts no longer the bastion of our democracy and hope for the oppressed? Why is Wike loosing faith in the Judiciary? Is it not the same judiciary that he is castigating that he will still appeal to? Wike has proved by this his outburst that he indeed subverted the will of the people by rigging himself in through violence and thuggery as the supposed governor of beleaguered Rivers State. By this unfortunate statement, it appears he wants to call the people out to violence to protect a stolen mandate. Must he rule this State? He should subject himself to the rule of law and not show desperation to be governor by all means. He said he is popular. Now is the time to prove it. I read some comments which alluded to Wike winning hundred times if election is conducted one hundred times. So what is he afraid of? This is the time to test his popularity instead of ranting about a judicial gang up against him. I feel so annoyed that men like this are taking our country for granted because things are not going their way. He wants to create chaos and bloodshed because he wants to be governor. This is vain ambition that must be resisted by the people of Rivers State. Must the ambition of one vain-glory seeking man destroy Rivers State? I think not. The people of this State have had enough and deserve a break. The rerun election may likely restore peace and tranqulity to this once described garden city. Wike should subject himself to this election if he truly believes that he won the last election freely. It is only then he will be talking about a mandate freely given by his people. For now, there is no mandate but a mandate stolen by him through the connivance of the former first family. He should now go out of his own accord and contest if he believes he is popular enough to win election in Rivers State.
PoliticsRe: Nyesom Wike: I Can Never Be Intimidated! by Kiakia(m): 6:12pm On Oct 25, 2015
There is no way the gubernatorial election held in Rivers State will stand. That election was characterised with so much malpractice and violence. A free and fair rerun election will just be the best thing in the circumstance. If Wike wins, all well and good as long as it is free and fair devoid of thuggery and violence. It may also go the way of Dakuku Peterside. Just let there be peace in that State. Rivers State has been in the news lately for the wrong reasons. The people deserve a break from the hassles of politicians.
PoliticsRe: Rochas Okorocha Reacts To Wife Battering Accusation by Kiakia(m): 5:58pm On Oct 25, 2015
I pity Sam Onwuemedo. The daily rebuttals he has to make in the course of serving this government of which some are truths, half truths and even bare-faced lies is confounding. I doubt if his integrity, that is if he has any, will still remain intact at the end of this government. For now, the lucre of high office of Chief Press Secretary to the Governor is too tempting to let go.
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Leaders’ Threat Against Fulani Herdsmen Diversionary – Falana by Kiakia(m): 9:26pm On Oct 11, 2015
Are you sure this match was not fixed? I will only assess this crop of Super Eagle players under Oliseh's watch in a competitive football. Until then, I am not impressed with their performance so far. This is not the best Nigeria can offer.
PoliticsRe: Ex-governors In Senate To Back Amaechi by Kiakia(m): 9:19am On Oct 08, 2015
Nigeria! An endless opera! Never short of news. Of course, Amaechi will scale through. What do you think the meeting between PMB and leadership of the National Assembly last night at the Presidential Villa was all about? As a matter of fact, all the nominees will be cleared. The media hype on this issue is unnecesary.
PoliticsRe: Support Fayemi's Nomination, Fayose Tells Ekiti National Assembly Members by Kiakia(m): 8:56am On Oct 08, 2015
Fayose is up to something. Fayemi should not sleep easy yet. But the, it does not really matter. Fayemi does not need Fayose to scale the hurdle of screening by the Senate.
PoliticsRe: #thelist Trends On Twitter As Nigerians Await Buhari's Ministers by Kiakia(m): 8:46pm On Sep 29, 2015
Is it not better to keep vigil at the National Assembly to be among the first that will behold the unveiling on Wednesday of the 36 wise and "incorruptible, clean as a whistle" Nigerians that will help President Buhari take the country to el dorado. There was a country!
