@Free Why Are Men Like That?Hi sister, i totally disagree with your statement. Its like you think men are some dogs with their tongues hanging loose and just about looking for the next, and all that they are, pure fakers, It would have been better if you related your observation to "Some Men". cmon, i don't think so, and i guess its because a lot of women have it seated at theback of their mind that their man "is going to cheat on me" thats why things sometimes don't work out as you expect. Another thing, men do not actually need to go outside to get the variety they need, heres one truth: ***If you know the way to a mans belly, you know the way to His heart. I know some husbands that they can hardly ever eat in any other place, be it fast-food, or at a party etc., except its the food their wife cooks**** and besides, a woman that loves a man will love everything about him and provide him the variety he needs right there within the confines of their home. |
how about : onigbo, onigbomgbom, Mile 12, anyone with infos |
ive drank Zobo like 3/4 times. I dont know what it was made of, but its like everytime i drank it(usually at a friends house etc) i always ended up in the toilet, so i usually distance myself from Zobo. But it tastes nice, has many flavors, |
im not married, so dont have any stories about myself, I only have info about my parents: My Dad Never Cheated on My Mom, and My Mom Never Cheated on My Dad. How do i know? ive grown up to know that my parents dont keep secrets among themselves, and even amongst us children. As such, i myself find it hard to keep anything a secret. |
@nferyn hey, CONGRATS!!! what a nice family you have, great son, great daughter and great wife, and you yourself are just wonderful. Great pics, Yup, i thought you were a Nigerian until I read your other posts, but all the same, you are welcome on Nairaland, and dont bother, you are a Nigerian right here on nairaland. Your son is a very handsome boy, does he like to body build? he'll make a great dark-toned hunk, and your daughter a fashion model. Suppose she was a teenager now, maybe we could have started negotiating for a bride-price hahahahahai just finished reading the 11-pages @ https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=2598.msg91683#msg91683, and i thought i was going to sleep. Now im still hooked, now im going to sleep. IF YOU ARE A NLANDER AND YOUVE NOT READ THIS THREAD https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=2598.msg91683#msg91683, YOU'RE STILL MISSING SOMETHING |
wow, ive really enjoyed myself reading this WONDERFUL POST!!! This is actually the first post ive come across on this forum, even on the web in general, i mean info that gives real life experiences and from which I have learnt many things about Life- real time, these kind of infos are more important than all the computer geek stuff most of us are interested in. I was reading this post https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-9167.0.html and linked here from nferyn reference. I must say im totally awed and speechless, many stories, and maybe sometimes we would wish that the lovely-God-made-in-heaven-fairy tale would just continue, but our hopes are cut short, For all those affected, i mean those who have had enough guts to share their life-stores - I give you a Thumbs up. For those who even went ahead to share their life stories that started quite well, but one thing or the other happened, and the love of their life was taken from them suddenly, I give you a bow. The fact that our sisters came out and shared those heart touching stories just shows that you are victorious already, satan has failed. He thought he could cut short your joy by taking the life of your spouse away, but you are giving us a testimony that you are still alive and kicking against all odds, i say it again, you are victorious. yes, life is not a bed of roses, but all the same we should not remain in a fallen state after falling. The onus is on us all to rise and shine onces again, and to all sisters who have risen and have put the past behind them, please keep going on. I'm with yall in Prayers. I also give @nferyn a big thumbs up. I can see that you are a REAL-MAN. I mean, REAL-MAN!!! by sharing your life with us and even defending the other sister that was in a troubled marriage. God bless u as you make your wife happy. Your story reminds me of a drama I watched in Church some years ago, twas about how Jesus passes by some-people and they never know, the drama had featured Jesus Christ in the person of people we see daily, dressed like a beggar on the street, like a stranger who needed a home, like a lost child, like a blind woman, like someone out alone in the cold, like someone giving an advice we do not want to hear, the poor folks in our society, etc., and the common reactions of people. While some offered an helping hand, some didnt. For those who offered an helping hand to the poor man around them, their lives was blessed with happiness and joy. I will not forget those passing through a painful marriage at the moment. I am not married, so I should not be talking. All i can do is to wish, pray and hope that things will change for the better in your home. !!! Amen!! and for those of us, who are yet to be married, you know what, after reading this post, i wish ill just wake up tomorrow morning into my marriage ceremony. Its 11:57pm now, 3-minutes to midnite and the 11-pages of this thread were just captivating that i just couldnt do anyother thing till i finished reading, yes we still have a lot to learn, a long way to go, and I believe God will take us there. gudnite!!! |
@BellaRouge I would run for President if politics in Nigeria wasnt so complicated. Besides, with all the juju and witches in Aso RockDont worry, by the time you are given a "brief", only a "brief" on Introduction to Juju in Nigerian Politics, no-body will tell you before you enter the next plain back to where you came from. |
for all of you who want to run for Nigerian Presidency, Goodluck. I would rather run-away from it. I once read an article, and let me see if I can put the pieces together, Twas about how(in the writers opinion, Nigeria would become better). He suggested: - that if he had his way, every Nigerian below 5-years old should be taken away from Nigeria, to a far away Land, somewhere, and be well-educated, brought up to make good decisions, brought up to lead, brought up to love justice and fairness,, etc, etc, in short, that all those 5yr olds will grow up and not have a corrupt attitude as default. - he then said that all the remaining peeps in Nigeria should be shot in the head after about 15-20yrs when those grown up kiddies whould be brought back to come and start a new government. anyway, he also said the problem in his suggestion is that even the 5-year old Nigerian child already has a corrupt mind, and that problem was greater than the problem of a 50yr old corrupt nigerian. ![]() |
@mlks_baby I said it to myself as i was reading your post, now let me say it out, mlks_baby is a Pastor. ![]() Good explanation!!!3 thumbs up. |
The Problem is that the Christians of today like to Argue. Even those who are not Christians Argue, trying to find a way to discredit Christianity. The Bible was not written and given to man for the purpose of Argument. It is meant to be believed and to serve as a guide, leading immortal man to the Eternal God. @Posh I have a question: 1) Are you a Christian? => If you are a Christian, I believe you should be able to have an answer ready for this argumentative "boys and girls". You could have given them your own testimony of how you have praised God, Jesus or whoever and your Praises have been acceptable. => Should you be of another Faith, no problem still. You could just direct them to the Nearest Church in your/their neighborhood. They would find all their answers there, or perhaps to a neighbor, aquaintance or even friend of yours who is a Christian and who would be in a "better position" as a CHristian to expantiate on this their confusing topic of Praising God or Jesus. You see, by trying to "sort out" the arguments of obviously confused "boys and girls" here on Nairaland, when we the contributors(each having our own point/s of view) don't know their "boys and girls"(point of view/s), and whatever might be confusing to them(boys and girls), neither do we know your(Posh's) point of view (as the carrier of the message/answer to their confusion) about this all-too-important subject of Praising God, or Praising Jesus(if you seek to make a distinction), would lead to another set of arguments, and another debate to end in total Confusion, if we are not too careful. @Camara don't know exactlly the verse or chapter in the bible, but it say"in the beginin was the word and the word was with us and that word was God.the Bible passage is in John 1:1 in another verse it say"and the word was made flesh and dewelt amongst us".Here are the first 14-verses of the Book of John (King James Version) 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John. 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe. 1:8 He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light. 1:9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. |
@FaithSight , anyway i had a serious argument with someone that just Come to London, and i found out that there are Yorubas in Nigeria that don't understand Yoruba Is this true?Yup yup, dont worry FaithSight, you're not alone. WE are many. At least you grew up not hearing the Yoruba Language been spoken around you, at least you heard the English language been spoken around you. What do you say for those who grew up in environments where English is not the language spoken in their environs, not even to talk of Yoruba!!!! Its not only Yorubas, across every tribe/ethnic group in Nigeria, there are Nigerians here in Nigeria that dont understand their native dialect, and that is not a crime. I believe the most important thing is to be able to communicate, forget which language you use. Im just beginning to do the Yoruba-language catching up myself, and my current research is into the meaning of "Abi o n siere ni", thats not meant for you or anyone, its just that im looking for info on the real meaning, coz if you move around in Lagos, you'll hear ppl saying, shouting it from right and left. @rof-Imao Yep there are people in Nigeria who can't speak their language. That's the pathetic state our society is. People are ashamed of their culture and language and relentlessly seek way to become "oyinbo" as much they can so their friends and neighbours can say they're cool!Oga rof - YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG. To say that because someone doesnt speak his/her native language, he/she is ashamed of their culture is totally wrong. The fact that someone might be able to communicate in his/her native language is not a sign of patriotism. Okay, the Oyinbos you are talking about, what is their native language, is it not English, do they have another option, so youre saying they are more patriotic than we Nigerians? thats not true, my guy. And if you are truly patriotic yourself, you should have been making your posts/replies in your own dialect, and lets see how far that will get you. abi. Another thing - there is no body that will have an opportunity to learn his native language that wont learn it. Even if he/she is totally uninterested in it, by hearing it everyday been spoken by friends/neighbors/strangers, such a language will begin to stick upstairs. So as @FaithSight has said, she didnt have the opportunity, and theres nothing wrong with that. Now, that shes on Naira land, she'll learn. I mean if you already see children living in Nigeria but unable to speak the local language because their parent want them to be "oyinbo", I can only SMH in pity! Its not only Oyinbo, its a matter of where one grew up. I have cousins who grew up in Kano, Maiduguri, here in Nigeria, and the Hausa they speak is even better than English sef, talk less of Yoruba. Come to the West and black man's African culture is non-existentIt depends on which part of the West you're in man. And maybe you could start a pet-project by projecting African culture where you are. You can give us a head-start and Nairaland will be by your back. @jogego It is easy to pick a language if it is spoken all around you.In a situation where the kid only hears Yoruba at home, it will be much more difficult for the kid to pick up the tongue.-- thank you, thats the truth |
@Titiola thanks for the infos. Your link is working. The advert looks somehow anyway, where/how is someone to make an application? is it by filling out the documents on the Joblink or? Im not the one applying but i want to give it to a friend! |
hey, ive been counted!!!! wowowowoww im number Seventy-Three Million, eight hundred and seventy-one!! ![]() Pls whats your number? |
@Consultant nice story. Very Informative and Educative. A lot of lessons to learn. I guess since your Husband had a computer closby, he should have gotten a webcam somewhere in the corner to capture live-sceens. Cant wait until i get married and my wife gives birth, (hey, slow down man, one thing after another.) hahahaha -the girl first, the proposal next, i do next, honeymoon next, then wait 9-months, and out pops a naughty boy. wowowowow, somebody dial 911!! Got an idea anyway - Live coverage, thats it. ----- My own problem is that I always fall sick when I go to the hospital, i mean, I was not sick before, but suppose I with friends go to greet/cheer up a sick friend/someone admitted into a hospital, man, the next day/couple of days, im totally down. In fact, right from the Hospital, i begin to feel dizzy, has happened several times, thats why Ive resolved not to visit the hospital for any-reason. Usually, im hale and hearty as a stone. I really don't know why, anyone has any reasons/ideas? |
how I can identify true Christians? the truth is there are a whole lot of "fake Christians", but there are a whole lot of "True ones" too. And i disagree with @omoge02863 How can you identify a true christian ??Sorry, a True Christian can be identified. Just as I can identify a sinner, an unbeliever, a mad man, and a sane person, I can identify a CHristian. If only God can Identify True Christians? then i bet you think all the people in the world are Christians, or rather of another religion. Remember, CHrists disciples were called Christians, first at Antioch. This is because people who had seen Jesus, and now seeing His disciples, they observed that these disciples lived(behaved, talked, thought, taught, walked, reasoned, did everything) just like Jesus would have done it. This is the reason why they were called Christians. Today, the name 'Chrisitian' has descended down the lines, however, every tom, dick and harry today is a Christian, which makes the story worse. The armed robber on the street claims to be a Christian, and is it not so easy, to say Halleluyah isnt so difficult. Even the pastor that is committing fornication and adultery, and is having extra marital affairs is a Christian, is He not. Who are you to tell Him he is not a Christian? The mistake most people make is that once someone begins to use Christian terminology, such a person is living in the highest heavens, no thats not the case. Let me give you an example of myself: I am a Christian, a genuine Child of God! I praise God I can make such a confession. I have read, and still read my Bible. I know what God expects from me as His CHild, as a believer, and as a Christian, and these are clearly outlined in My B-I-B-L-E. Now, regardless of how many Bibles i see someone carrying, even if he/she carries such on the head, regardless of what he/she says, if and when I begin to observe things about/in such a one's life/attitude that do not conform to what I read in the Bible, and what ive been taught as a Child of God, i would begin to have second thoughts about such persons profession of the Christian Faith. See, Its so easy to say "i am a christian, and to put it down on paper", but what many people forget is living the life of Christ itself, this is the most important, yet thats where many miss it. Also, the Bible also tells us, that the Spirit bears witness within us that we are Children of God. You know what, if you are a True CHild of God, if you come across someone(a total stranger you never knew before) and such a person happens to be a true Child of God too, a genuine Christian in the heart, just like you are, you will feel something steering within you, the Spirit of God witnessing to you as a person, that the person you are beholding(looking at, talking to, or just an aquaintance for example) is a Child of God too, and O what joy, when Gods children meet. So what i suggest, work on yourself, your faith, your belief in God, your trust, your obedience to His Word, your consecration, and when you meet the next True Christian, you will know. There'll be the Spirit's witness within you, and you wont miss it. On the other hand, if you as a CHild of God meets someone inhabited by the devil, a hard-core sinner, a lying saint, there will be also a Spirit's witness within you that regardless of what such a person confesses(that he/she loves you, is a Child of God, is a Pastor etc.,) something will ring deep within your heart, "this one is not a Christian". |
@sus your pic on your profile would surely facilitate, u know what!!! |
VOLUNTEER PRIEST!!! I'll like to volunteer myself as the officiating Minister for Nairaland Weddings. ![]() |
@olakunle well i guess u are kind of right becuase i was married once to a white lady offcourse, that only lasted 2 yearsthat is possibly why your parents now want you to get hitched to a nija woman. But honestly i dont believe in the you-are-a-nigeria, you-must-marry-a-nigerian doctrine. I call such a mentality a fake-ID. I agree with @ability Love is the answerDefinitely before you even think of marriage, i believe both of you should have made up your mind to put cultural differences aside before you decided to wear the same shoe. abi be ko? |

VACANCY - PROPHET - A born again Christian Prophet of God needed for Financial and Personal Consultancy. Apply in Person with your CV to : Kingdom Productions Entertainment #9B Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, lagos ------------------------------------------------------------- What bothers me about this advert is the job-vacancy. Im not looking for a job, mind you. I was just wondering what would the details of the interview be for the Prophet Applicant, as in who would be interviewing the prophet, a higher-prophet or the HR Manager, and what kind of questions would the prophet-applicant be asked: how many prophesies have you prophesied? how many have come into reality? And you know, if its some kind of other job, there might be a written/aptitude test or some-sort, what kind of aptitude test would such a prophet-applicant undergo? its funny o. how about this question to the applicant: oya, Prophesy something financially to happen in the next 5minutes, lets see? what do u think? |
na wah o for this Census people. One thing that pains me about this country is that we look for every opportunity to make money, and we'll do all we can to make the money - good or bad. Did you read Yesterday's paper? - Supposed to be Enumerators turned out to be Armed Robbers? - They even arrested some fake enumerators at Ekiti State. Worse, even those working their asses out to ENUMERATE, havent gotten paid. Till now, ive not been counted. I think they just marked the house, my Area, Lagos |
2 MUCH 2 LESS!! 2 much love, she takes you for granted, 2 less, and she's soon gone like the morning dew. 2 much of riches, her expenses increases, 2 less finances, your status decreases. 2 much talking, 2 much familiarity, less originality, 2 less talking and soon you become strangers. 2 much seeing each other, she might grow bored, 2 less of eye to eye, another eye takes your place. 2 much patience, and you'll look stupid, 2 less is impatient and she's irritated. 2 much of this, 2 less of that Indeed, this boy girl thing is not so easy ohai? |
If I were President, 5-years wont even be in the picture. |
My fellow Nairaland users, I've not been counted o. In fact, they haven't showed up in my area. How about you? |
which Satellite? Nigerian sattelite? do you know that it cant capture anything at Night. Now those millitants will be hiding in the day time and might come out of their dens to get some air at night. so how can the satellite see anything? |
@Zakymaka http://azuka.zatechcorp.com/about-me/ I’m not very out-going — in fact I’m a very introverted person and don’t feel very comfortable in crowds. For that reason I’ve never had a date — I certainly don’t intend to have one [at least for now] –, don’t go to parties, drink and the like. I’m also very strong-headed and don’t listen to advice I feel I shouldn’t be listening to. My hobbies are coding, ping pong, reading, writing and watching Jackie Chan films. I hang out only on Yahoo Messenger by the ids zahymaka and azuka_okuleye — and most of the time, my status is set to “May I code in peace? Please don’t disturb” [or something like that].Quoting you from your blog: I really dont think your problem is the looks-department, i think its more of self esteem. Anyway, are you ready to change your mind about how you feel about yourself!!! When you do, the girls will begin flocking all over you. |
