Good day mamas, please what can I use for my baby complexion, she keeps getting dark, I have used chicco soap and lotion but no difference, right now she is using a goat milk liquid soap and johnson(SA) lotion, please any suggestions on product to use?she was born very very fair complexioned but now chocolate..... Thanks
A baby's birth color is not really his/her true color. Your baby is only attaining her natural color, funny thing is, she might start gettting lighter after a while.

Pls stop using different products on your baby's skin just for her to get lighter. It might have adverse effects later. Whatever your baby's skin color ends up in, she is beautiful like that.

#you can avoid Johnson products for now.

Greetings mothers, pls I need advice. My boy is 1 year and 2 weeks, he is walking now. Wifee is Preg so we stopped breastfeeding . we are using peak 123 with his homemade pap, is the peak 123 OK? Also he normally poo after his first meal in the morning but he doesn't like sitting on his Putty chair. Pls I need advice thanks.
Peak 123 is fine.

With time he will get used to the potty chair. To encourage him, you can get a very attractive one that he can also convert as a chair when it's covered. Also, anytime he poos in his potty, clap for him, carry him or somehow, just show him you are very happy with him and let him realise pooing in his potty makes everyone happy. It's a form of reward system that makes them to want repeat that action. @topemel - pls try this also.

How old is your baby?

Some babies snore initially but outgrow it. Pls use a clean damp cloth to gently clean her nostrils every morning after bath to free up her nostrils.

Hello all mamas in the house, how is our LOs doing. Please I noticed for the past two or three days that my son started grunting and squirming when he sleeps. Sometimes he wakes up and I have to pacify him to sleep again. I don't know if it's too much gas, and I have no idea what drug to use, some say gripe water, I heard it's not advisable to give babies gripe water. He is 25days old and he poos and burps.well, he is both breastfeeding and formula feed. I don't know what to do, is there any thing I can give him to reduce his grunting.
He will outgrow this with time. Some babies do it till 1 year. It's nothing to worry about. My baby would sometimes cry, smile or even laugh out in his sleep but will sleep back immediately. I just say a word of prayer to reassure myself but really, it happens to all babies.

Ok so water should not be given to a baby less than 6 months. How do mothers giving cereals below 6 months manage? Please I need answers
When a baby start to take solids or semi solids either @ 4 months or 6 months, he has to be given water. Mothers who do not give water before 6 months feed their babies bweastmilk or formula only for 6 months.

A 3 year old was teaching me this video game but I just couldn't understand it. He collected the game from me, explained it again and with a lot of bewilderment in his eyes said, "this simple game, how will someone not understand it".

I burst out laughing and asked him, "Kay, are you trying to say Aunty is a dullard" shocked grin grin

FamilyRe: House Help by Kimoni: 1:09am On Jul 25, 2015
ChiChi0296:
Hi, please I need help on how to go about with my house help which is also my cousin she's 14yrs should I take her back to her parents or still allow her to stay with me? She has been living with us for a year now. Yes she helps me a lot in doing housework. They are characters of hers which I don't like, though I was aware of some but I thought she's going to change but up till now she's not ready to change. She's from my mom's side. It was my mum that brought her to stay with us when I requested for somebody even though I wasn't comfortable with her staying with us cos of those her behaviors. But my mom was like I should manage her. So my point is this. D girl steals, doesn't feel remorse whenever she does something wrong, she can't apologies when she wrong me nor my husband, she can't even take care of my 2 kids when am not around, she's wicked as in she carries things I her mind, she beat my 3yr old son when am not around even when am around she still beat him but if ask her she ll deny it., she lies a lot she's ready to cry out blood than to tell you she did something even if u caught her doing it. She ll still lie, she's not also friendly with kids, u can't dictate her mind, whenever I query or beat her up cos of what she did wrong my kids ll pay for it, she also beh :oaves as if her head is not correct. But she's very very intelligent in times of her education. My husband and my mom is aware of all this things but they were like I shouldd just over look her that if I should take her back home people ll like she's my cousin this that. But the truth of the matter is that am not comfortable with her staying with me with those characters and she's not ready to change cos I ve talk to her severally but after talking and advice she ll still do it again. And no matter the amount of beat she ll still do it again. I wnt to stop beating her that why I want her to go cos I might wound her by then people ll start saying look at what she did to her cousin "wicked women" and I can't pretend according to my husband which I still find it difficult to understand his reasons for saying I should just pretend as if nothing is happening even though he knows d girl is not doing well.( I hope is not what am thinking sha) the worst is that if u ask her do u want to go home she ll say no.. Please what do I do I really hate her behavior. Despite d fact that she does house work.
All these from a 14 year old shocked shocked

Pls never use an underage girl as your housemaid. It's child abuse.
You mention she does a lot of work at home and she's also very intelligent but she still exhibits all those character flaws. I strongly suspect she is overworked, hence her unhappiness.

Personally, I can never let any unhappy person take care of my kids esp when I have something to do with their unhappiness. Of course they will transfer the aggression to ur children. It's very dangerous if you ask me.

It's either you get a matured and proper househelp to assist you while still keeping the girl or you send her back her parents and continue to help with her academic pursuit.

I still don't understand why many women can't live without domestic help, and please don't give me the career excuse. I have a career, a husband who isn't hands on and a child and I manage just fine.

Invest in home appliances like a washing machine and if you need help with cleaning, get someone to come in once or twice a week.

This domestic help a.k.a house help issue usually doesn't end well, because there is always a sharp delieanation between the househelp and madam's kids.

Your cousin's behaviour is bad, yes, but she is still a child just getting into her teens. How would you treat your child if she exhibits the traits you talked about? Would you be here complaining about it?

Please send that girl home if you are tired of having her around. If the whole idea was to assist her parents with her upkeep, then send them a monthly allowance to do that. Get an elderly nanny for your kids or use a creche/after school service. There are still some good ones. And then roll up your sleeves and keep your home.
congratulations supermom but will you still say the same thing when you have more than one child?
Will the washing machine stay with the kids at home on those days you get stucked in traffic even when you leave the office early?
Pls don't judge others until you take a walk in their shoes. Just thank God for ur situation and move on.

OP, how long have you been married cuz you sound like a newlywed.

Pls learn to take ur mind off some things and focus on more important things in the marriage. You should understand this by now if you have kids. Learn how to tolerate and cope with some annoying behaviours from ur hubby and even the kids.

Clean as much as you can after him and give yourself a break when you don't feel like but pls stop whining about it every time it happens. Save all your whinings for more pertinent issues wink

Lady gogo so ara e o....no let us show ourself for public o grin

There was something common back then where men and women of the same age group would come together very often to socialize and maybe do other important stuffs. They would wear the same outfit on these days for their meetings and of course during their social gatherings like Ojude-Oba, ereke day etc. I still have pics of my grandpa with his age group in their common agbada. I think they call it "egbe"

I would say that's where aso-ebi evolved from. Then of course, egbas too have their egba to line.

I am strange I know. grin grin my worst nightmare is the queue to get into changing rooms grrrr. I rarely ever use the changing room. I just order it all online , try I t at home and return the wrong size/ones I don't like to the stores.

Funny enough I still love to buy clothes etc like the average woman I just prefer to do it online .online shopping does encourage impulse shopping though and cos the shops are there on your hands 24/7 you have to be disciplined not to keep buying and buying.
The local DHL/parcelforce/hermes guys know me if they see me on the street they will give m my parcel because they recognise the name and face grin
I hardly do changing rooms too. For me, it's about time. The time I spend in changing from one outfit to another, I would rather use to comb the entire sales section wink smiley

I don't get the leisure in shopping .. People will want to organise day out as say lets go to 'blue water' huh Ok if we are going to eat at the restaurants there or go see a movie but to walking around coming in and out of shops.. I don't get it undecided

Always been like that I remember my friends used to wonder what kind of weirdo I was because after like 1 hour waking around (looking at stuff we could not afford at the time) I would have started frowning. By the second hour I am waiting outside the shops and a useless addition to any discussion because all you will be hearing is ' uhhhm it's nice just go and pay and let's go ' grin
Very strange Damiso. I am not sure I have come across any female who doesn't like to go out shopping. It's my perfect day out smiley

Agreed I never found it funny as a kid walking the whole of Lagos Island with my mum cuz it always made me sick, but right now, it's therapeutic for me sef. Year after year, that's the only thing I spend all 6 weeks of my annual vacation doing though I must confess I sometimes resume tired sha.

You sef see am. She needs to do some "Kunta Kinte" on her lineage

I personally (that's my belief ) don't believe in going OTT for 1st year birthday parties as 1 yr olds tend to get cranky with large crowds. I also think a childs party is for the child , how will a one year old experience or enjoy lavish parties? I guess all the pictures of my 1st birthday party with me crying or my mum trying to get me to look at the camera (plus countless others of cranky 1 yr olds at others i attended esp those that change them like 4 times cheesy) put me off all that stress. We had just us and her cousins when my daughter was one and maybe 4 more peooke when my son was one. Dont think I spent more than £300 on either celebrations.

From 5 they can get a say and actually have friends that they will enjoy it with. The most important thing is pictures so you can show them 'this was your first birthday'.
You even try. I just buy the buyables and take it to their school or children's church. I can bet celebrating it in their comfort zone makes them happier sef.

Now bringing it home, I recall how deleted monikers came back to life after NL resurrected.
So I'm thinking, once you put the info online, it never gets deleted. Hmnnnnnn
