How many of them are going to go to jail for the IPOB members they have been shooting? |
When will you stop spamming the Politics section with this your 10 points, all of which were done in 1967 but Nigeria still did not allow Biafra to be? |
I hope I look like him when I'm 64 |
Apostles of one indivisible Nigeria indeed!! When these Northerners were massacaring easterners in 1945, 1953, over 50,000 in 1966 alone and many more since then, they didn't remember 'one Nigeria'? These Northerners think we are still in military times. They see Buhari as some military chieftain. They don't seem to realise we are in a democracy were Buhari is bound by the constitution just like anybody else. You want to crush peaceful unarmed protesters exercising their constitutional right to freedom of expression and movement? Jokers of the zoo! These Northerners are hypocrites. All they care about is the removal of anything that will hinder their access to oil!! |
I have had the pleasure of reading Dele Babarinsas many write up's over the years. Just incase he has an account here on NL, I want to tell him the following. Biafra has never been about war. Biafra has always been a peaceful and democratic agitation. It is Nigeria that has always brought violence and war into the issue of Biafra. In 1967, it was Nigeria that brought war to the peaceful East and right now, it is Nigeria shooting unarmed peaceful Biafran protesters. But when we retaliate to defend our selves, Nigerians will say we started war. Biafra has never been an "Igbo only" thing. Igbos just happen to be the largest ethnic group in Biafra by far. It should be noted that all the minorities of reserve the right to be or not to be part of Biafra. However, they must be given a voice to speak for their individual selves without anyone abrogating 'Nigeria' 'Biafra' or 'SS' on them. Finally, I want to say that Biafra is the legitimate right of a people to decide their destiny same as anybody. We are all 'Nigerians' not out of free choice but by the choice of a British armed robber called Frederick Lugard. When do we indigenous Africans get to decide who we are? A 'forced union' never works out well. We Biafran agitators want a UN superviced referendum in the south of Nigeria so everyone can decide for themselves what they want. Cheers |
Buhari: God, protect my my Cows in Daura from Boko Haram |
If he had been Igbo, I would have said he died for nothing |
henryhemon:You are a Nigerian and I'm a Biafran. We are not going to see Nigeria the same way.
|
Godbless Biafra
|
StOla:Are you trying to say that Ojukwu was in a position to decide what flag his casket was covered in? Don't be funny. When Biafra is realised, that is when we give Ojukwu the real Biafra funeral that will make him smile in heaven |
AiykeN:All well meaning Igbos revere the man in life and in death. Unarguably the greatest son of the Igbos. He fought for freedom when all others surrendered to Hausa-Fulani domination. He fought for the sovereingty of his people when all others like Awolowo chose to lick Gowons a$$. He took on the combined military strenght of Britain,Russia, Egypt and the Arab league. He finally left Biafra when all hope was lost and knowing he would have faced certain death if he had stayed back. Funny how Yorubas call Ojukwu a coward It is only in the mind of a Yoruba man that someone like Ojukwu who fought all of Nigeria for almost 3 years is a coward but Awolowo who spent that same time as "boy-boy" to Gowon is a brave man Lol |
Abagworo:And what what would you have suggested they say to families of the 105 soldiers missing? That they went skiing in Europe? |
GEJ probably knew how APC used millions of under aged Almajiris to rig Buhari in but GEJ also knew that had he contested or annulled the election, the blood thirsty urchins up in the North would have slaughtered thousands of people. I think that GEJ was 'ambushed' out of office. Anyway, we look to the future to see if Buhari will be any better although I think he will be a disaster. |
henryhemon:That's why I said you don't know the Igbo mind. An Igbo man can pursue on endeavour from Nigeria to Timbuktu but it doesn't mean he believes in Nigeria or Timbuktu, he only believes in himself. As for the rogues you call Governors and senators, those ones came for their own personal agenda not the people. In a referendon not less than 90% will vote to quit Nigeria. Not just Igbos, the Ijaw nation, Efik-Ibibios would also opt out as well. Nigeria has gone by its sell-by date. The rest of what you see is just a mirage of nstionhood that exists on paper only. That's one of the reasons I already know that APC and Buhari are going to be a disaster. Buhari is like a Doctor who is hoping to cure Cancer with Panadol |
henryhemon:Your actually wrong. You don't know how the Igbo mind works. You probably won't believe this but most Igbos would choose to have their own separate country of Biafra if given the chance. So while most Nigerians sail along with the Nigerian ship, the Igbo man has long been thinking about how to jump off and swim away. |
Ephemmm:I don't think you understood me. It doesn't matter what political position the Igbos or any other ethnic group get or don't get in Nigeria. If Nigeria does not work, then it does not work. Then you and I will be suffering and soaking Garri and still be talking about political position that do us no good. As an Igbo, I don't believe in Buhari or APC, so I didnt vote for them. It's been six months and nothing has changed my mind or the mind of most of my fellow Igbos that we did not make the right decision. In a way, I'm actually glad that Buhari won. With the downward spiral of oil prices, the ever increasing sectarian violence and the rise in the Biafran agitation, it will be interesting to see what 'miracle' Buhari has up his sleeves to save Nigeria. |
klax:Your parents are from the east, I will assume your parents are Igbo. Your stupiditiity is incredible. How did you let Nigeria brainwash you this way that you don't know the truth? So you think you are a Nigerian? My brother, no such thing exists! You are an Igbo man to the Hausa and Yoruba man regardless whatever you think you are and you will treated as such by them. It doesn't matter if you were born in Yoruba land or lived their most of your life, you are still a 'visitor' to them. If they are rioting and killing Igbos in the north, nobody will remember you are a Nigerian. So where is the Nigeria you are talking about? In 1966, over 50,000 easterners, men, women and children were massacred all over Nigeria mainly in the north. You think anybody remembered they were Nigerians? What would you have done if you were Ojukwu and this was happening to your people? You would folded your hands and said "carry on killing my people we are one Nigeria"?. And you said Ojukwu started a war? How did he start a war? Who did Ojukwu declare war on? The same Ojukwu went to Ghana and signed an agreement to keep Nigeria one, who broke that agreement? The only thing Ojukwu did was to declare his people a separate nation, it was your so called Nigeria that came down to the east to shoot the place up, it was your same Nigeria that came to starve millions of kids to death. Yet you say Ojukwu started a war. This same Nigeria is nothing but a creation of the White man. So Ojukwu, an indigenous African Igbo man had no right to declare his people Biafrans, but it is Lugard, a white man from Europe who has the right to come down to Africa to declare all of us 'Nigerians'? Does that really sound right to you? Nigeria is an illegal nation and Nigeria only came down to the east to fight for oil. Yes your family lost people during the war, but so did every family. Some people were forced into the Biafran Army but that was towards the end of the war when manpower was low. It was regrettable but desperate times call for desperate measures. You said Kanu commited treason? Treason means to 'actively' undermine or try to remove a Government through undemocratic means. Your current president, Buhari, commited high treason in 1983 when he kicked out the democratically elected Government of Shagari. Will you ever call for Biuharis prosecution? Probably not. But you say that Kanu commited treason for operating a London based Radio station where he is agitating for the freedom of his people from the British invention called Nigeria. I laugh in Igbo. Facts: A Nigerian is just a west African answering the slave name given to him by white men, a Biafran is a west African who has refused that slave identity and wants to be free. The war was caused and started by Nigeria in other to continue the exploitative agender of Lord Lugard. The war had nothing to do with the unity of Nigeria, it had all to do with oil. You think that if it was the North that had the oil, they would not have divided Nigeria long time ago? Your ethnic nationality is where your first allegiance should be, they are the only ones who will be there for you when chips are down. You can tell your self you are a Nigerian all you want, but outside your ethnic land, you will always be a mere "migrant" Get some sense into your head before is too late! |
fineguy11:You guys can torture him, humiliate him, Nigeria and barbaric acts are synonymous anyway. But the Biafran train must reach its destination. The zoological Republic of Nigeria must fall! |
No going back on Biafra!! The zoo must fall!!! |
I'm quite happy that most of us Igbos did not support APC or Buhari. Contrary to popular opinion, Being in power is not everything. I have no doubt in my mind that Buhari and APC will be worse than PDP so it is good that such faliure. |
I can't comment on referendum as a process since I'm not an international Lawyer but I can comment on the 'right' to a referendum. I believe that any ethnic group in Nigeria can seek referendum based on the fact that Nigeria is just a mere colonial contruct. The argument for a referendum is that the people who populate Nigeria were never consulted before Lugard unilaterally created Nigeria. This renders the 1914 amalgamation illegitimate and thus, a referendum becomes the only legitimate way for the various ethnicities to define their political borders. A clause in the amalgamation document purpotedly claims that after 100 years, any of the ethnic nationalities that make up Nigeria who are no longer happy with the union can opt out. The fact that Nigeria is an illegal fabrication of the White man is at the very heart of why a referendum should be conducted. Referendum is the legitimate way to reverse the illegal amalgamation of 1914 and to decolonize Nigeria. I remember watching on YouTube an interview Asari Dokubo gave where he claimed that the Ijaw people sent a delegation to the colonial office in London in 1923 to ask the British Government why they included the Ijaw people in Nigeria. Dokubo also claimed that the Egba people of South west Nigeria never became part of Nigeria until that same year of 1923. My late grandfather was born an Igbo man in 1902, he told me before he died that he did not know he had been made a Nigerian until 1920. The fact that most people were made Nigerians without their knowledge also renders Nigeria as an act of fraud thus lending credibility to the notion of a referendum. On the whole, the case for a referendum is very strong and if the Nigerian Government eventually does not agree to a referendum, I believe it will later lead to a second civil war |
Biafra is not negotiable and anyone who tells me as an Igbo man that I am better off in Nigeria than in my own country is a carrot- head. |
Nigeria: A 100 year old disasterous British experiment |
These people are just the few Igbo APC supporters. Silly people who are telling Igbos that they are better off in Nigeria when they should be encouraging their people to aspire to their own country. When we get Biafra, they should stay in Lagos! |
Pictures don't lie, who else thinks that Biafra is just an online thing? Biafra kwenu!! |
janellemonae:You are a joker. If you want to blame anybody for the war, blame Gowon for going against the agreement he signed in Aburi, blame Nigeria for coming to down to the peaceful East to start shooting instead of negotiating. Blame your so called Nigeria for rushing to war as an answer to everything . |
Nice one!! Ever repping Biafra
|
ThisMeansWars:If armed robbers invade your house and you have only one gun with limited bullets. You fire and they fire, but you hold out until the situation becomes hopeless. Do you stay back for certain death to prove you are brave or do you escape? That's the situation Ojukwu was in. Ojukwu was fighting for the freedom of his people, Hitler was fighting to enslave people. |
