The girl is just as ugly as her father |
The green-White-green flag reminds me of 'prison bars'. That's what they look like. Some body tell the gworo chewing Daura cattle rearer that there is no going back on Biafra! Not now, not ever! |
What is it with these girls who think that becoming flavours baby mama is something to aspire to? |
President of the British inspired fraud called Nigeria |
What is it with Okoroawusa these days? Cockroachas! |
sochima1989:What will forces of Nigeria do? Have they even managed to do anything against Shekau and Boko Haram in 5 years. They only show bravado when they are facing unarmed civilians. Put a rifle in the hands of that same civilian and the forces of Nigeria will run away |
There will be no Nigeria by 2023!!!! |
sochima1989:We are going to divide it the same way Lord Lugard got up one morning and made the country |
Ovamboland:Igbo were and are a highly egalitarian and republican people. Igbo land was a very loose federation of clans who shared linguistic, cultural and traditional sentiments but I hasten to add that people in the world started out that way until certain forces of unity brought them together. While you are right that Lugard was a unifying factor for Igbos, I hasten to add that the unity would have happened with or without Lugard. As Igbos became more self aware and civilisation crept in, the methods of communication would have improved making it possible for Igbos to discover other Igbos they didn't know about. All Lugard did was to speed up the process. Igbos were never 'empire builders' like the Yorubas and Hausas. Infact, Igbos rarely had any Kings before the White man came. That's why indirect rule could not work in the east. Lugard came to unify every one for the express purpose of looting our resources. Lugard was a thief. You talk about refrenndum and Biafra. It may interest you to know that before Ojukwu declared Biafra, he recieved the mandate to do so from the Eastern Nigeria consultative assembly which comprised of representatives and Chiefs of all the 20 provinces of the old eastern region or roughly what is now known as SE/SS. At least Ojukwu had some sort of mandate. On what mandate or referendum did Lugard create Nigeria? We Biafran agitators want a referendum so that the indigenous people of the land can finally say what they want. This not about the thieves in Abuja who call themselves political representatives of the people. This about the people themselves. Nigeria is a British created fraud. |
They will still be shouting for resouce control and regionalism 100 years from now! I don't think that these people know that to the Northerners, there is little or no difference between regionalism/resouce control and secession. |
Serendip:This true, but Biafra has always been a peaceful and democratic thing. It is Nigeria that always brings death and war into the issue of Biafra. It is Nigeria that is shooting and arresting unarmed protesters. It is Nigeria that came down to the east to wage war and kill millions when Ojukwu declared Biafra. If Igbos declare Biafra tomorrow, it will still be your Nigeria that will come me down to kill people. So don't blame Biafrans about war, blame Nigeria for thinking that shooting people is the answer to everything. |
Truckpusher:Of course they are a "distinct" group of ethnicities so why are you calling them a people? What is SS people? What connection has an Oron man and an Urohbo man? What connection has an Efik man with an Itshekiri man? Yet you call them a people? We see a lot of people here on Nairaland telling other ethnic groups not to speak for them but people like you will get up and claim you are speaking for more than 30 distinct ethnic groups in the south-South geo-political zone. Nobody is deceiving anyone here. Speak only for your ethnic group and leave the rest to speak for themselves. |
Eastlink:Personally, I'm going to twist the mouth of anyone who calls me 'upland Igbo' just because I'm an Anambra man. Igbo is Igbo. What you wrote above is pure unadulrated Igbo despite the little difference it has from central Igbo but one that any Igbo would understand and I say: Mma Mma! Igbo gbakor nu! Anyi bu ofu/otu! Igbo amaka! Ise! Ise! Ise! |
Truckpusher:But with your so called 'SS' , you already grabbed the lands of more than 30 ethnic groups South of the river Niger. |
jaymichael:All you said maybe true but we are Africans snd surnames do not lie. We all know how important the surname is to the African man, it is like an identity card that is almost never discarded. I want to stress that when it comes to the issue of Igbos and Biafra, the many Igbos of the SS such as Delta Igbos and Rivers Igbos cannot be ignored. The question is this. Faced with the choice of Nigeria and Biafra in referendum, would these people choose to stay in Nigeria or vacate with their Igbo brothers into Biafra? This is the important question that needs to be answered by shouting 'South-Sout!' |
rhymaster:And yet you do not want to support Biafra so Igbo can finally leave you alone? If you can't do without Igbos, let us know, we might take pity on you. I liked the funny bit where Igbos are tenants in Nigeria because they want Biafra. Igbos have lived on their lands for thousands of years but this one thinks that we are now tenants because Lord Lugard came to give him Nigeria just the other day. I laugh in Igbo |
Look at the woman warmly shaking the hands of Buhari! This obviously APC in Anioma so it is expected. How can an Igbo woman call her fellow Igbos SE? What is SE ![]() Wonders shall never end! |
mulattoclaro:You better get a Nigerian map and look very closely at this region you are calling 'SS'. Take a close look at Rivers state down to Portharcourt. This Ikwere people you are talking about speak Igbo as their ancestral language and have Igbo surnames'. Monalisa Chinda, Duncan Okechukwu (Duncan Mighty), Tonto Dike, Julius Agwu are all Ikwere people. What tribe do you think has the surnames Chinda, Okechukwu,Dike and Agwu? I'm not going to speak for Ikwere people but you had better start asking them if they prefare to go with their Igbo brothers into Biafra because if Biafra is what they want, your so called 'SS' is a mirage. |
mulattoclaro:Mr South-South, there is something for you to ponder. If all Igbo decide to secede as Biafra, and by all Igbos I mean the SE, Delta-Igbo land, Igbos of the lower Benue and cross River as well as all Rivers Igbo. You will will find that your so called 'SS' will be split into two halves with Ijaws,Itsekiris, Binis etc on one side and Ibibios,Efiks,Oron etc on one side with Igbos in the middle. This your so called Rivers state is 70% Igbo, much Portharcourt is Ikwere-Igbo land. So if Rivers-Igbo leave with their Igbo brothers into Biafra, your so called 'SS' will not mean anything. |
profoyoyo:How come you Yorubas always think that Biafra is about Ojukwu or Nnamdi Kanu? The people marching on the streets in the SE and SS are marching for freedom! Kanu is small reason why they are out marching |
In 1953, the Nigeria Army decided to start recruiting civilians in the officer corps. Before then, the Army only recruited officers from the ranks of enlisted soldiers. After a nationwide Army examination and selection process, 3 men chosen to become officers, 2 civilians and one serving soldier. They were, David Ejoor, Victor Banjo (civilians) and F.Fajuyi (Soldier). Because Fajuyi was already a serving soldier, he went through a different training process while Banjo and Ejoor went for officer training in Ghana and later, the prestigious "Royal military Academy Sandhurst". Banjo and Ejoor became the first civilians to commissioned as Army officers when they graduated from Sandhurst in 1955. Banjo was later arrested for possible complicity in the Nzeogwu coup and clamped in jail. On the declaration of Biafra, Ojukwu released Banjo and promoted him to a Brigadier in the Biafra Army and given the task of capturing Lagos. Subsequently, Banjo was accused of plotting to overthrow Ojukwu, tried and executed. Ejoor later rose to the rank of Major General and chief of Army staff. Below is their picture on their first day in the Army in November 1955.

Well, he is talking about off shore oil but it doesn't excuse the fact some Northerners think the oil is their own. Below is the video of what a Fulani man, Hon. Farouk Aliyu said about Niger-Delta oil. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmeGyNqwX5s |
Whenever I see or hear an Igbo man talking about how advantageous it is to remain in Nigeria over having an independent homeland of Biafra, I feel like am looking at a pure bred morron. I recognise that everyone is entitled to their opinion and I do not expect all Igbos to be agree with Biafra. What I do not understand is why people who have the benefit of hindsight and are currently witnessing the immense economic and political suffering of the Igbos in the British contraption called Nigeria but is still excited about it. How is it that any sane person can look at Nigeria currently and retrospectively and say "Nigeria is the best thing to happen to Igbo"? We Igbos are known for going into the mouth of the lion and making success there. We Igbos have gone deep into Yorubaland, deep into Hausa land, deep into Ibibio land and made success in those places. But it is in our own homeland of Biafra that someone thinks we can't make success? I laugh in Igbo There is no going back on Biafra!!! |
Even if Biafra is because GEJ lost the election, it is the right of Biafra to pull out if Nigeria any time and for whatever reason. A husband has the right to divorce or leave his wife any time, any day. |
Only a very silly Igbo man will give up the jewel of his own country in Biafra to stay in Nigeria and still joining issues with the Yoruba and Hausa over Igbo presidency |
MIPNIG:You have been "standing" through 100 years of 'forced' amalgamation, 55 years of disasterous nationhood, one civil war and millions dead, economic and political subjugation and an utterly failed union. One would have thought, as a reasonable human being, that you might have started thinking about "standing" somewhere else to see if things might change for the better. |
Quite unfortunate that an Igbo traditional ruler who is aware of the relentless protest of Biafrans all over the world in their milions can get up and say that Biafra is dead. But I kind of understand his position. Any Igbo benefiting from the fraud called Nigeria is not likely to support Biafra. |
In Biafra, would an Igbo Soldier have flogged this Akwaibom girl? |
Favparis:But this kind of thing happens every day in Nigeria but you have Nigeria |
