PoliticsRe: Arrest: How Nigeria Fall So Cheap Into Nnamdi Kanu's Trap by kingzizzy: 1:05pm On Oct 27, 2015
I really have to thank the Government of Buhari for shooting the Biafran cause into the international stratosphere. Buhari made Nnamdi Kanu a bigger celebrity than he was once was. Now Governments and people who didn't know the man are now asking questions. Two days after Kanu was arrested, I got an international call from Poland over this Kanu matter from a Polish blogger who never knew anything about Biafra. Portharcourt, the political and economic center of the South-South witnessed one of its first secessionist protests since the end of the war. Where Buhari miscalculated with Nnamdi Kanu is that Buhari forgot that we are in a democracy. And with his already very bad human rights record, everyday Nnamdi Kanu is detained paints Buhari bad in the eyes of the international community. Many Nigerians don't know it but most developed countries including Britain that created Nigeria consider self determination a right unlike many Nigerians that think it is treason. I'm even hoping they hold Kanu for a while longer, and when comes out and resumes broadcasting, he will completely shred Nigeria to pieces.

PoliticsPortharcourt: Igwe-ocha by kingzizzy(op): 9:23am On Oct 27, 2015
Port Harcourt was founded in 1912 by Frederick Lugard, governor of both the Northern Nigeria Protectorate and the Southern Nigeria Protectorate. Its purpose was to export the coal that geologist Albert Ernest Kitson had discovered in Enugu in 1909. Although the port was built in 1912, it was not until August 1913 that it was called 'Portharcourt' by the colonial authorities in honour of the then British Secretary of State for the colonies, Lewis Vernon Harcourt.

The land was originally the farm lands of the Diobu people, an Ikwere clan, and was called "Iguocha". There are several disambiguities to this name particularly by ethnic Igbos who sometimes call it "Igweocha" and in some situations "Ugwu-Ocha".

The discovery of Oil greatly increased the economy of the city which expanded to include Oroworukwo, Mkpogua, and Rumuomasi. In the creeks to the south of the original port were the fishing camps and grounds of the Okrika-Ijaw group.

PoliticsRe: Should Igbos Vote For Wike On The Re-run ? by kingzizzy: 8:44am On Oct 27, 2015
Don't mind Ikwere people. Their ownership of Portharcourt and a few Oil wells has blighted their sense of reasoning. I don't know how a people who speak Igbo as their ancestral language and have Igbo surnames can say they know nothing about Igbos. The king of the Ikwere people is the "Eze Ikwere". What Nigerian doesn't know Eze means. Their apex socio-cultural association is the 'Ogbakor Ikwere'. Ogbakor is 'to gather' or 'to come together' in Igbo. However, as much I'm starting to hate Ikwere people for their unfounded apathy, there is something I hate much more, APC. As much as Ikwere people don't deserve Igbo support, we cant let APC anywhere into the SS. It's bad enough that APC got into Imo via the back door. Rivers state is 70% made up of Igbos and Igboid groups, we can't allow APC in there. So I enjoin all Igbos to vote the Ikwere 'turn coat' Wike in because the alternative is APC.

Don't mind them. They know what they are doing. They know the international community is watching. The recent massive Biafran protest in Portharcourt shook them to their bone marrow because they know that if the Niger-Delta gets on board fully, the game is already up. They have to be seen as having empathy. But they are fooling no one. Nigeria must disintegrate

Just look at a peaceful protest by people in a civilised country with Spanish Police offering protection and crowd control. That's how I want a future Biafra to be. If it was in backward Nigeria, the Nigerian Police would be shooting Biafran protesters dead and Nigerians would have been chanting their approval for such barbaric act

You made a whole lot of sense in your write. I share your sentiments in totality. Is there wisdom in FORCING people to be part your secession bid? None at all!

I am a Igbo son (proper); I do not share in Biafran dream and WILL NEVER support it! I strongly believe that Ndigbo stand to get more being in the entity called Nigeria.

There is hardly any part of this country where Umu-Igbo are not doing well in commerce. Ndigbo have investments and valuable properties outside Igboland than in their region. What will happen to their investments if Biafra comes to fruition? Is it not likely that they would loose all their investments outside Igboland seeing that they are no more citizens of Nigeria (but Biafra) hence would be treated as foreigners?
Ndigbo think!!!
You are still thinking small. Nigeria is but a small dot on the world map. It would be silly to say you must be a Nigerian because of a house you have in Kano or the land you have in Lagos. A people without sovereignty are slaves, no matter what they own. In the event of Biafra coming, nobody will lose assets outside Biafra. No civilised Government siezes the property of a person simply because they are not citizens of that country. There are international laws that guards the assets of a person outside their home country. If you think just Nigeria, then you think small.

When it comes to SE/SS, there are no peopple called by these names. Everyone belongs to a tribe and we must answer the names of our tribes. Millions of Igbos were fraudulently put in states that they are not indigenous to. There are over a million Delta-Igbos in Delta state. There are millions of indigenous people in this so called SS particularly in Delta and Rivers state. We cannot be talking Biafra without talking about our kith and kin. I'm happy that in Rivers state, most Rivers Igbos proudly identify as Igbo with the exception of some crazy Ikwere people. Same applies in Delta States

100% supported. I have always told the Igbos on this forum that non Igbo tribes of the Nigerdelta wants nothing to do with their utopia - Biafra, but they often get offended, cursing and calling us all kinds of derogatory names like Yoruba ( Yoruba is the most derogatory name to a Biafran), backstabber, efulefu, slave, etc. Is alliance by force?

I understand their pains, Igbos need Portharcourt for sea access, and they would fight tooth and nail to include it in their Biafra. Without Portharcourt, no Biafra.

Biafrans are now calling the whole of Portharcourt Igbo land. Imagine how Yorubas feel when they say Lagos is no man's land and not Yoruba land.

Barcanista, just prepare yourself for serious war over Igwe-Ocha. You will be surprised that majority of those claiming Portharcourt are not even Ikwerre, but Igbos from anambra and imo.
Don't be callous! How can you say that the agitation for Biafra starts and stops at Portharcourt? You really think that PH is the only acces point to the sea? Think again. When people talk about "SS", it's almost like they think it is about Rivers state. Has anyone ever wondered what the Ibibio Man thinks about all this? Some people talk about a Niger-Delta Republic but there isn't a shred of agitation for this on the ground.

PoliticsRe: Why The Hausa/fulani Won't Allow The Igbos Succession - Harristo's Analysis by kingzizzy: 9:00am On Oct 26, 2015
There's an Igbo adage that says that anyone who takes something from a child and raises their hand so as to keep out of reach, a time will come when their arm will be tired and they will have lower it. The Igbos, MASSOB,IPOB,BZF and other secessionist groups are asking for something that is long over due. The fact that Lugard marched all of us at gun point into Nigeria does not mean we have carry on from where he stopped. I'm an Igbo man, nothing connects with a Yoruba or Hausa man.

PoliticsRe: What We Igbo Should Know Before We Shout Biafra!! by kingzizzy: 8:41am On Oct 26, 2015
Any map you see of Biafra today is merely a proposal. There is nobody alive that can draw an accurate map of what Biafra will eventually look like. My ideal Biafra is all the states in the SS/SE except Edo state (not excluding Igbanke people. However, we hope that Biafra will come by way of peaceful referendum and their maybe some of the minorities who feel more comfortable in Ngeria. Biafra might even turn out to be an "Igbo only" thing. The most important thing for me is that my people get out of Nigeria. Should Biafra become an Igbo only thing, I want only those who have shown they proud of their Igboness to be part of it. I mean the Delta-Igbos and most of the Rivers Igbos with the exception of the crazy Ikwere people.

Non of the countries u sighted are in Africa, there reasoning and ours are different. Show me where it happened successfully in Africa.

Secondly, did they archieve it by insulting each other on radio like kanu is doing?

Now the countries you mentioned seceded and are both doing well. Nigeria is not doing well already and you imagine the country that breaks out of it.

You know how igbos behave, when its time to decide you will know who will listen to who.

Why not carry out the referendum first before going about insulting other tribes on radio?

Before you go counting on igbos who want biafra, make sure they know what they are asking for.

Someone who has no education or skill in the east will easily believe the yoruba and hausa is their problem because they are looking for who to blame.

Not everyone asking for biafra has the same intentions. Some of the touts that carry the matter in their head believe that is how they will become governors and ministers in biafra because they made the most noise.

None of these people protesting on the street for kanu have ever thought of how all these promises kanu is making them will be achieved. They are the same people that will call for his head and want to go back to Nigeria in the process. Nnadi kanu himself will be nowhere to be found when the implementation of the fantasies is required.

As long as the questions i have raised above cannot be answered, the whole biafra issue is wishful thinking.
You have a right to your opinion. But when you think about Biafra, you have to think about Nigeria. Nigeria is just an artificial creation of the White man. If Lugard had not come to west Africa, you would have never have even heard the word Nigeria. Nigeria has never worked as a nation. For 55 years, all we have done is fight and kill each other in the name of 'one Nigeria' which is just a creation of European opportunists. Why are we doing this? Why can't we try something different? You said that no African country has seceded in Africa but Eriteria seceded from Ethiopia in 1993. South Sudan seceded from Sudan in 2011.

You said that Nnamdi Kanu is insulting. Yes he is. The man actually insults every body even Igbos. The radio station is not for every body. You don't like it, don't tune in. Nnamdi Kanu will not come to force you to listen to him.

Nigeria is not doing well because it is not doing well because it needs to break up. The Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa don't like each other, how do you expect any progress to come from this?

55 years, millions dead, 70% porverty rate, wide spread corruption, Boko Haram,disunity.......yet you still wonder why the Igbo man should try something new with Biafra. Think with your head

FREEDOM4BIAFRA:
I am calling on all well meaning Biafrans, both home and abroad, wherever you may be.
I have been on ground for a while now, with our people, doing the best I can in various communities, making the presence of Biafra felt even before we are free, I am giving the people a taste of what is to come, but sometimes I am weary, and cannot work alone.
I have helped mothers in umuapu(imo state) who were making oil, I soiled my hands to send the message of unity and love, as expected in the Biafra to come.
I have also taken a trip to Amawbia in anambra state, while I was there, I interacted with our mothers and also encouraged our youths, I made them understand that Biafra is not all about glossy pictures, but our willingness to work together, to build a nation, and to suffer together in troubling times, until we get the nation of our dream.

I am calling on Biafrans, wherever you are, let your voice be heard, not just in arguments, but in your actions, make an impact, no matter how small.

At the moment, I am looking at starting a website, where we will post pictures of our little efforts, even efforts as small as road patching, sharing of books in schools, borehole constructions, educational assistance and the likes, projects that will not be a financial burden to anyone of us. The things we can do for Biafra. For our Land, for our people.

I am also thinking of having a small circle of biafrans on WhatsApp where we can also work on community projects, and commission them, for the glory of Biafra, let the people feel the sun.

I will be happy to have persons who are willing to work with me in these projects, so anyone who is willing should please send me a PM.

The verification process may be very rigorous as we do not want infiltration.

Long live Biafra.
The Sun is risen!
Thank you Brother

Ita about getting of a bus in the middle of nowhere because you are angry without alternative arrangements.

You have no plan, bo structure, No arrangement and you want biafra.

You are still highly integrated in the Nigerian system and you want biafra.

This noise had better stop till there is a poll to figure out how many igbos want biafra.

Or will there be igbos who are part of Nigeria in the East and those part of biafra ?

Will igbos who want to be part of Nigeria be ejected from the east?
I understand what you mean but you have to remember that a part of a country seceding is not novelty.

America or the USA is the greatest country on earth but this country once seceded from Britain. Czechoslovakia was one country but split up into Czech Republic and the Republic. Even Britain that created Nigeria nearly split up last year when Scotland had a referendum. This same Scotland was part of the UK for over 300 years, 3 times older than Nigeria. If all these countries that split up were thinking like you, they would still be in bondage. Today, all of them are enjoying their freedom. I'm an Igbo man, my people survived befoe there was Nigeria, they will survive after Nigeria ends and I believe in my people. Like I said, Biafra will not be easy in the begining, but nothing good ever comes easy. You talked about a poll? Those of us who believe in Biafra would love that Biafra comes by way of a referendum. Let everone vote if they want Biafra or not. I'm confident that most of my fellow Igbos will vote to to have their own independent country, away from Boko Haram, away from political association from Yorubas and Hausas and many other reasons. Yes there are Igbos who don't support Biafra, but if the majority of Igbos vote for a new nation, the minority that don't support it will have to accept it because it's all about democracy, the will of the majority always prevails

Why have u pple led many Igbo youths to die jst because of someones fantasies?
Listen man, you have to remember why you are a Nigerian. Take me for example, I'm an Igbo from Anambra. I freely chose to accept to be a Biafran. Nobody forced me to accept it. I'm even free to change my mind about it tomorrow. Now ask your self why you are Nigerian. You are Nigerian because a British mad man called Lugard came to west Africa, beat up your ancestors, killed many of them and forced the rest that survived to answer the slave name 'Nigerian' he brought with him from Britain. How can you answer a slave name a white man gave you? How can you accept a name that was enforced on you? So you have no right to choose your name but a white can come to your own land to tell you who you are. Biafra is about freedom, it's about letting go of the colonial contraption called Nigeria, it's about a new start after 55 years of disastrous nationhood. If Nigeria must kill people just like they killed millions of Biafrans in 1967-1970 because they want be one, then what is the point of Nigeria? If you decide that you have to remain Nigerian because you don't want to die, then admit to your self that you are a coward who cannot fight for his freedom. Freedom is one of the few things in life worth dying for and we Igbos are not cowards.

It really doesn't matter the reason why Igbos want Biafra. It doesn't matter if it is because GEJ lost or that it didn't rain yesterday.
