The Zoo is a terrorist state and that is why it must fall!! |
Gr8amechi:The Yoruba media has had many years to paint lies to people. How did an Igbo president hinder Niger-Delta indepedence? You mean what Isaac Boro did 1966 when he when took some men to the Ijaw creeks and proclaimed independence? Anybody can do that. Asari could have done that when he was in the creeks. But he didn't because it would have been a joke. If I go to the Bushes of my village with some men and declare Biafra, do you think anyone would take me serious? And who told you that Ironsi introduced unitary system we practic today? As at the time Ironsi was killed, the four regions were still in place, they had resource control and federal fiscal policy. So how can you say that Ironsi introduced unitary rule when regionalism was still in place when he died? It was Gowon that came in, dissolved the regions, created States, took away resource control and federal fiscal policy and introduced unitary rule. of course Nigeria would be better as a confederation but the North will never agree to it because it will take all their power away. Why do you think the civil war was fought? Confederation is what Ojukwu took to Ghana and made Gowon sign. But Gowon broke the agreement and introduced unitary rule which forced Ojukwu to declare Biafra. The North will never agree to confederation, they will even fight a war to make sure it never happens |
Blizzy9ja:Someone that makes sense |
Yorubas are natural slaves of "one Nigeria" and always will be. The Zoo must fall!! |
DaBullIT:Look at a Nigerian "awarding" Nigerian citizenship to Nnamdi Kanu, a man who has been shouting on Radio that he not a Nigerian. There must be something attached to this bail that we haven't heard about yet. If it was just money, I would bail him today. The Zoo must fall!! |
OP, point of correction. Chuka Umunna's dad is an Igbo man while his Mother is Irish. Many believe that he may one day become Britains first Black prime Minister. He is 37 years old. |
ViVaMadrid:What is trash about what he said? |
I don't know if this Video of Asari Dokubo is on Nairaland or not but I decided to upload it because I think it is very important for anyone from the South-South not forget what is important. Here are words of Wisdom from Asari Dokubo. Watch from any of the links below and comment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8qg6k9jKIg https://youtube.com/watch?v=i8qg6k9jKIg |
jpphilips:Your feeble attempt to to to justify the British invented fraud known as Nigeria makes interesting read because it is laughable beyond comprehension. What even makes it more funny is your aguement to keep the Southern minorities in Nigeria if the Igbos secede so they can remain perpetual cash cows of Odua/Arewanistan alliance. Biafra is about the common man on the street. It's about thise you bus conductors, shoe makers and so on. It's not about Ibetos and other Billionaires and politicians. So if you think this is some elitist movement, think again. You talked about Oil, which we all know is what you Nigerians are after, I already told you that 3 Igbo States are Oil producing but that the main focus of Biafra is not oil because we do not want to be a mono economy like Nigeria so the quantity produced is not the main issue. Ecen if all three Igbo producing state 100 barrels of Oil a day or enough to cover local consumption, we would be quite happy with that. Your so called Nigeria sold millions of barrels a day for many years but has nothing to show for it. Nigeria can't even meet local demand. There are many other things in Biafra that are more precious than you Godforsaken Oil no 1 of which is human development. Some of the richest nations in the world hace no Oil but are succes stories. As for the 3000 barrels of Oil I talked about being produced at Aguleri Otu,this was confirmed in the news not long ago when Chairman of Orient Oil, Emeka Anyaoku, paid the Wille Obiano a courtesy call. You said that the Tributuaries at Oguta and Ubuaka in Abia are not viable. What made you an expert on Viability of the tributuaries? Have you got a degree in dredging and widening that we don't know about? Or are an ecological expert? Are you an authority on inland waterways? There is an inland river port in Onitsha where I have have seen smaller vessels discharge goods. There is even another waterway from Ebonyi that empties into Ocean. All you did was read unsubstantiated reports and came to talk nonsense. You probably don't even know that under international law, no independent country can be with access can be denied the means to bring good and services. Look, countries like Austria and Switzerland are landlocked but are individually richer than Nigeria. It's all about human development not sea port. The Okirikas, Ijaws, Ibibios and all of southern Nigeria want resource control. but they are starting to understand that they will never get it in Nigeria. It's impossible. Anyone in doubt about this should recall what happend at the last national conference. When the issue of resources control came up, the North were up in arms. The North even wanted the 13% derivation reduced. The North that resource control by the south will greatly reduce their federal government subventions and they will never agree to it. If the issue of resource control ever makes it to the national assembly, you can be sure that the North will vote it off with their numerical strenght. Anyone hoping for resource control in Nigeria is wasting their time. As I said before, no amount of Biafran investments outside Biafra in Nigeria is worth our sovereignty and freedom. It will be up to the Ibetos, Athur Ezes to know the next line of action after Biafra is achieved. If Nigeria should sieze their assets or deny them control of it, then maybe it is the eyeopener they need that Nigerians were never their friends in the first place. To say that the SS does not qualify for referendum is the myopic conclusion of someone looking for oil money. What is the SS? A geographical expression not even recognised in the contitution? You are trying to say the Ijaw nation, the Oron nation, the Ogoni nation have no right to self determination? Don't be daft. They have the right to secede and they have the right to decide where they are going. As I said earlier, any of the minorities that are not comfortable with Biafra have our best wishes. Another thing, when you talk about Igbos, do not reduce us to 5 states. There are many indigenous Igbos who are proud of their Igboness in Delta state and Rivers and all of them are going with us. When it comes to Ikwere people, some say they are Igbo some say they are not. Remarkably, the Ikwere Man is the only person who thinks he is not Igbo while everyone else like the Okrikas, the Ogonis, Ijaws etc consider the pure unadulterated Igbos. Even a Yoruba man would not know the difference between me as an Anambra man and an Ikwere man. Unless and Ikwere man actually says he is Ikwere, everyone will think he is Igbo because his language is Igbo and his surname is Igbo too. The important thing here is not what the Ikwere man thinks he is, what is important is this. Faced with the choice of remaining in Nigeria and seeking a new beginning in Biafra with their Igbo brethren, which would the Ikwere choose? What brings the Ikwere Man together with the Hausa man or the Yoruba man? I have no doubt what the Ikwere man would choose. Which is the lesser of the two evils? Ikwere will not leave their oil rich ancestral land to join Igbos but prefare to remain in Nigeria and share that Oil with Igbos,Yorubas, Hausas and everyone else? Don't make me laugh Your aguement to keep your fraud of a nation together is completely baseless. Biafra is coming and there nothing anyone can do about it |

K |
The only criminals are people like you expects everyone to accept British fabricated fraud called Nigeria that Lugard brought from Britain |
I would like any Nigerian in the house to answer me this this question: Name any Nigerian who can command the kind outpouring of worldwide solidarity as Nnamdi Kanu commands? |
acenazt:Who told you that you are independent? You are still answering the slave name the White man gave you. You are only independent when you are in control of life and decide your fate. I'm an Igbo man who wants Biafra but is forced to accept Nigeria. So how am I indepedent? You are not independent, you are just a business deal that was done in 1899 |
jpphilips:What grade of Ogogoro are you on? How is it that you have been successfully brainwashed to believe that you cannot survive without the fictitious creation of the White man called Nigeria? Try to get your self some sense of self determination and free your self from mental slavery. I will destroy all you wrote in my post. You said that Biafrans are trying to join the Niger Deltans at all cost. Who do you think are Biafrans? You think it's just an Igbo thing? It is not. Biafra is about the Igbos and all the minorities who share an understanding seceding together. The people you calling Niger-Delta are even more tired of Nigeria than Igbos and if given a chance will leave with Igbos.BTW, when I say Igbos, I mean all Igbos, Igbo speaking people and Igboids. I mean the over 1 million Delta-Igbos or Anioma people in Delta state, the Rivers Igbos in Rivers state which are Etche-Igbos,Ahoada-Igbos,Omuma Igbos,Ikwere Igbos and so on that have been added to you so called Niger Delta. Some of these people might say they are not Igbos but when it comes to seceding with Igbos than stay in Nigeria, they will go. Anambra, Imo and Abia are oil producing states and while I do not have the figures for other states, I do know that that Orient Oil in Aguleri is about 3000 barrels with the potential to produce more when it starts in Ogbaru and Anyamelum. We are what we have, we do not need to be producing millions of barrels because we do not want Biafra to be a mono economy like Nigeria. Yes the River Niger opens up into tributuaries. The one at Oguta in Imo state runs almost in a straight line into the Athlantic a Ocean and can accommodate large ships. Another tributuary in Ubuaka in Abia state is almost as close to the Ocean as Portharcourt is to the Ocean. There is no reason why a world class seaport can't be built there. Even Porthacourt, which is not by sea, is the land of the Ikwere Igbos who might just be ok with leaving with their Igbo brethren to Biafra. I cannot fathom how you came up with the idea that 35 million people cannot fit into Biafra. What is 35 million? Just Igbos are more than this.Tiny Lagos which is the smallest state in Nigeria by far has a population nearing this figure and accommodated everybody. While Nnamdi Kanu is a Biafran secessionist leader whom I respect, Biafra is much bigger than Nnamdi Kanu. Don't make Biafra about home same as you should never make Biafra about Ojukwu. Kanu might call for arms or armed struggle but the truth is that in freedom fighting, if reason does not prevail, then armed conflict is the only alternative. Great Africans like Nelson Mandela,Zik,Mugabe all had to turn to militancy at some point in other to win independence for their people. You said that the Niger Delta should enjoy the right to secede. Since Niger Delta is not a tribe like the Igbos are, I can't comment on the people you are talking about since specify who they are. You talked about Biafran properties and investment in Nigeria. No amount of Biafran investments in Nigeria is worth Biafran sovereinghty and freedom. In the event that Biafra secedes, the Nigerian Government would be doing its self irreparable long term damage if it revokes the C of O of in other to maliciously annex the property of Biafrans because not only will this break international law, it will cause international investors not to step foot in Nigeria and many already here to leave. No investor will feel safe in a country capable of such and in the end, Nigeria will be the loser. You talked about resource control. Non Igbo people in the south of Nigeria are not stupid. They know they will never get resource control in Nigeria. All Biafran secessionist groups have always maintained that Biafra will be a federation or confederation with true fiscal policies where the regions will get at least 50% of whatever accrues on their lands and waters. The minorities will never get resource control in Nigeria but they will be guaranteed it in Biafra. The proposed referendum will be in the SE/SS as they are the only two zones who have indicated their desire to put an end to their political relationship with Nigeria. Any minority that feels happier in Nigeria should vote to stay snd we will wish them well and goodbye. Finally, Kanu has the fundamental right to freedom of speech. Did he force you to tune in to him? One mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist. One mans hate speech is another mans goodwill message. The reason why Nnamdi Kanu can command the following he does is because Nigeria is a fraud,a zoo, and a disaster that should finally come to an inglorious end. |
Hmmm |
This thread smacks of sheer hypocrisy! What binds all of us as Nigerians is adherence to constitution. How can the Deji say he is dethroning who ever the Igbo community elect as their Eze? How can the Deji go above the constitution that allows Igbos freedom of association to impose his own law? 10 Igbos can gather anywhere and elect an Eze, that is their right and is not against the law. So what are we talking about here? It is callous to deny Igbos their right to practice their culture in their own country. There are many 'Eze Ndigbo' all over the North and in many countries but it is only the Deji making noise. Igbos in Akure must ignore the Deji and carry on with their cultural affairs allowed to them under the constitution. If the Deji or Yoruba people don't like it, they can amend the constitution at the national assembly |
In furtherance of my bid to expose the fraud called Nigeria, I delve into history to show that Nigeria is nothing more than a "Slave auction" conducted between Britain and the Royal Niger Company in 1899. Anyone who calls him/her self a Nigerian is a product of slavery. We as Africans cannot let the White man tell us who we are, it is for us to define our selves and that's why I support Biafra because Nigeria was begotten from an act of illegality. This fraud lives everyday that Nigeria lives until we disband it and go our separate ways. Read below By 1870, palm oil had replaced slaves as the main export of the Niger Delta, the area which was once known as the Slave Coast. At first, most of the trade in the oil palm was uncoordinated, with natives selling to those who gave them the best deals. Native chiefs such as former slave, Jaja of Opobo became immensely wealthy because of oil palm. With wealth comes influence. However, among the Europeans, there was competition for who would get preferential access to the lucrative oil palm trade. In 1879, George Goldie (1846 – 1925, pictured above) formed the United African Company, which was modeled on the former East India Company. Goldie effectively took control of the Lower Niger River. By 1884, his company had 30 trading posts along the Lower Niger. This monopoly gave the British a strong hand against the French and Germans in the 1884 Berlin Conference. The British got the area that the UAC operated in, included in their sphere of influence after the Berlin Conference. When the Brits got the terms they wanted from other Europeans, they began to deal with the African chiefs. Within two years of 1886, Goldie had signed treaties with tribal chiefs along the Benue and Niger Rivers whilst also penetrating inland. This move inland was against the spirit of verbal agreements that had been made to restrict the organisation’s activities to coastal regions. By 1886, the company name changed to “The National Africa Company” and was granted a royal charter (incorporated). The charter authorized the company to administer the Niger Delta and all lands around the banks of the Benue and Niger Rivers. Soon after, the company was again renamed. The new name was “Royal Niger Company”, which survives, as Unilever, till this day. To local chiefs, the Royal Niger Company negotiators had pledged free trade in the region. Behind, they entered private contracts on their terms. Because the (deceitful) private contracts were often written in English and signed by the local chiefs, the British government enforced them. So for example, Jaja of Opobo, when he tried to export palm oil on his own, was forced into exile for “obstructing commerce”. As an aside, Jaja was “forgiven” in 1891 and allowed to return home, but he died on the way back, poisoned with a cup of tea. Seeing what happened to Jaja, some other native rulers began to look more closely at the deals they were getting from the the Royal Nigeria Company. One of such kingdoms was Nembe, who’s king, Koko Mingi VIII, ascended the throne in 1889 after being a Christian schoolteacher. Koko Mingi VIII, King Koko for short, and like most rulers in the yard, was faced with the Royal Nigeria Company encroachment. He also resented the monopoly enjoyed by the the Royal Nigeria Company, and tried to seek out favourable trading terms, with particularly the Germans in Kamerun. By 1894 the the Royal Nigeria Company increasingly dictated whom the natives could trade with, and denied them direct access to their former markets. In late 1894, King Koko renounced Christianity, and tried to form an alliance with Bonny and Okpoma against the the Royal Nigeria Company to take back the trade. This is significant because while Okpoma joined up, Bonny refused. A harbinger of the successful “divide and rule” tactic. On 29 January 1895, King Koko led an attack on the Royal Niger Company’s headquarters, which was in Akassa in today’s Bayelsa state. The pre-dawn raid had more than a thousand men involved. King Koko’s attack succeeded in capturing the base. Losing 40 of his men, King Koko captured 60 white men as hostages, as well as a lot of goods, ammunition and a Maxim gun. Koko then attempted to negotiate a release of the hostages in exchange for being allowed to chose his trading partners. The British refused to negotiate with Koko, and he had forty of the hostages killed. A British report claimed that the Nembe people ate them. On 20 February 1895, Britain’s Royal Navy, under Admiral Beford attacked Brass, and burned it to the ground. Many Nembe people died and smallpox finished off a lot of others. By April 1895, business had returned to “normal”, normal being the conditions that the British wanted, and King Koko was on the run. Brass was fined £500 by the British, £26,825 in today’s money, and the looted weapons were returned as well as the surviving prisoners. After a British Parliamentary Commission sat, King Koko was offered terms of settlement by the British, which he rejected and disappeared. The British promptly declared him an outlaw and offered a reward of £200 (£10,730 today) for him. He committed suicide in exile in 1898. About that time, another “recalcitrant King”, the Oba of Benin, was run out of town. The pacification of the Lower Niger was well and truly under way. The immediate effect of the Brass Oil War was that public opinion in Britain turned against the the Royal Nigeria Company, so its charter was revoked in 1899. Following the revoking of its charter, the the Royal Niger Company sold its holdings to the British government for £865,000 (£46,407,250 today). That amount, £46,407,250 (NGN12,550,427,783.81 at today’s exchange rate) was effectively the price Britain paid, to buy the territory which was to become known as Nigeria. * Cheta Nwanze committed to doing a #HistoryClass once a week as a response to Nigeria’s removal of history from its school curriculum. He tweets @Chxta |
They will be out by the next hearing, it is absolutely ludicrous to charge people for treason just because they held a protest march |
Jaideyone:Am I holding you from going to have a Baale in Igboland? So should you hold me from having my Eze? I enjoin all Igbos in Akure to ignore and excercise their constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of association by keeping their Eze |
Well the OP should know this. I'm Anambra man and there is an Oil well about 40 miles away from house in the village. I want 50% of that oil well going to my community when ever they start piping it.The people of Ogbaru also in Anambra have oil sipping out of their lands and would want 50% of it when it is explored. The people of Aguleri and Otuocha want 50% of the proceeds of orient Oil activities in their land. Anambra is sitting on one of the largest Gas deposits in the country, we want 50% of it. But the reality is that as long as we are in Nigeria, we are not going to get it. So if you think Biafra is the enemy, think again. The Niger Delta will never get 50% of its resources as long as it is Nigeria. |
marv1:Of course you can come and have an Oba of Enugu if you want, it is your right. |
homirefacuny:What I wrote is fact. As an Igbo man, I am bound by the constitution of Nigeria not the laws of your Deji. What do you think Nigeria is all about? Yoruba laws? Hausa law? Igbo law? No. It's all about what the constitution allows me and under that constitution, I'm entitled under freedom of association and expression to have an 'Eze Ndigbo' anywhere in Yoruba land. |
Unblockable:I challenge you to quote the section of the constitution where the burning of the Nigerian flag is a crime. |
Kollyman:Let me tell you something. There is no such thing as Yorubaland. You cannot have 'Yorubaland' and have 'one Nigeria' at the same time. Both do not go hand in hand. It is like trying two hands inside your mouth. It will never fit. As an Igbo man, the constitution grants me equal rights as the Deji of Akure. The constitution grants me the same rights as any Yoruba man, anywhere in Yorubaland. The constitution does not mandate me to respect Yoruba tradition. If the Deji actually ordered the flogging of the Eze Ndigbo of Akure, the Deji may end up facing assault charges. |
FAJFARM:I may not be based in Akure, but as far as I'm concerned as an Igbo man, the constitution is greater than the Deji. The constitution grants me the right to treat Akure as if it was Enugu. In other words, I can elect an 'Eze' and conduct any cultural event I want. The Deji is only a Monarch in his palace. Outside his Palace, he is just another Nigerian. I'm not bound by any law to respect him. So I encourage my fellow Igbos to forget about that Yoruba king and enjoy the freedom accorded to them by the constitution to conduct the traditional affairs anywhere in Nigeria |
If I were the Igbos in Akure, I would ignore the Deji. The constitution is greater than any Deji and it allows all Igbos to conduct their affairs any how they like as long as it falls within the ambit of the law. The Deji can only dictate to an Igbo man who inside his palace. Outside his palace, he is just another Nigerian. |
lygn19:This long epistle of yours was really not necessary. The Imo state you are talking about is just an artificial creation just like Nigeria. 40 years ago, there was no Imo state. What we are is Igbo people. Only a misguided person will give his first allegiance to 'strangers' than his own family. Only a misguided Igbo man will pledge allegiance to a British invention called Nigeria over the Igbo nation. Only an extremely stupid Igbo man will think the Hausa and Yoruba man are more of his brothers than his fellow Igbos. So if you are a misguided Igbo person go and join your Yoruba/Hausa brothers in Nigeria when we get Biafra |
bolaino:You said "Igbos should secede on their own". Igbo is an ethnic group. Which ethnic group is "Niger-Delta"? |
These people make me laugh. Where in the world do you charge people for chanting hate songs? So people are now charged in Nigeria just because of the kind of songs they sing? How can a person be charged for burning a flag? How is it treason to stage a protest for the release of an individual? The Nigerian authorities are crazy |
This is absolute nonsense. The Deji of Akure has no right to dictate to Igbos how to conduct their cultural affairs. What business of his is it? He may have the right to decide who can wear a crown in his palace but he has no right to dethrone anybody. Does he he think he is dealing with his fellow Yorubas here? This is laughable |
Kanu is an evil genius. That man has done so much within a week to damage the reputation of Nigeria in eyes of the international community and to expose the country as a place where the fundamental rights of man mean nothing. Just buy flying in to have himself arrested. The man has guts. He said it openly that he is not afraid of being arrested because it is part of freedom fighting to harassed by the authorities and he proved it by fearlessly returning home. Now when he is released, the world news media will fall over themselves to get an interview with him where he will destroy what is left of the zoological Republic of Lord Lugard. |
WIZGUY69:And I'm asking, if Ogun state is the most industrial in Nigeria, tell us the industries Ogun is noted for and were they are sited. If you can't answer then shut up |
