Who will be president and governors?
What about police and army? Will the people of biafra stay without security?
How will the justice system be?
Will the country be on stand still, while all this is going on? There will be no Governors in Biafra because we will not run Biafra under a unitary system. It was the unitary system that destroyed Nigeria. Depending on how many of the minorities join Igbos in Biafra, there will be regions such as Ijaw region, Ibibio region and so on and these regions will have apremiers and get at least 50% of the proceeds of whatever come out of their lands. Biafra will have a ceremonial president who will commander in chief and a prime minister who will be head Government. As for police and Army etc, you have to remember that after Biafra is declared, all none Biafran Police,Army,Navy,Custom etc will have to return to Nigeria while our people in Nigeria will return to take over their positions. |

Ballmer: The Biafra imbroglio as drag on for a while on Nairaland and I believe patriotic Nigerians especially Yoruba who the Igbo believed tied their destiny to Nigeria are being force to propound meaningful solution to achieving the desire of the Igbos since it is now obvious they neither have the brain, intelligence Nor competence to free themselves from the slavery imposed on them by the Yorubas.
Actualising Biafra is the simplest thing to achieve and this is how. It is very simple, if you are among the Igbos that truly want Biafra, all you need do is pack your bags and head eastern Igbo States. I will personally guarante that nobody stops you on the way. Your leader in the National Assembly should followe suit and then you can draw up a map on how to ensure adequate food supply should a war break out from actualising Biafra.
Biafrans should note an intelligent man and not a rettarted general who can secure food supply Should lead them this time as it is foolhardy to expect the enemy you are waging war against to provide you with food during the conflict while you spent you money buying ammunition to wreck more havoc on him.
Biafrans there you have it, your gateway from the zoo. Don't talk like a fool. Igbos packed their bags and returned to the Eastern Region in 1967 to face Biafra. It did not stop you Nigerians from shouting "one Nigeria" all over the place and coming to East to fight. Even if Igbos pack and go back today and declare Biafra, You Nigerians will come again to fight. Igbos are going to stay where they are until Biafra is achieved then we go home to build our new country |

scully95: You are a Kurwa!! This kurwa in Polish means "F*ck'. So I can as well say you are a dumb-f*ck for telling the side of the story that suites your propaganda.
Now let me tell you what lead to the war in the first place that you missed.
The real Cause of Biafran WAR The cause of the civil war was the ethnic cleansing of non igbo civilian and military leaders by igbo officers and the subsequent counter coup by another Igbo man Ironsi, who stopped regional government and did not try the coup plotters. Igbo selfish "leaders" were too paranoid to see that they are mere wanderers occupying space in other parts of Nigeria.
The other side of the story is that.. the SE falls pretty too fast for pretext.. Not able to understand difference between pretext used as an organ of Physiological war and resolving issues without external covert or overt players.
Here, I am talking about Kano Massacre that started virtually everything. Before and Since then the SE has been used to subdued anything good and working in the NATION.
TIMELINE:1959: Election results Northern People's congress 134NCNC(Zik) 81AG(AWO) 73The Northerners did not want independence, but Zik form coalition with them, to become the first president.
YOU FORCED THE UNION BECAUSE MAJORITY OF IGBOS WERE LIVING IN THE NORTH, WHERE ZIK, OJUKWU AND NZEOGWU WERE BORN. GOWON GAVE YOU CENTRAL EASTERN STATE AND CREATED CROSS RIVERS AND RIVERS STATE, JUST A DAY BEFORE YOU FORCED YOUR BIAFRA ON PEOPLE IN PORT HARCOURT...
Last but not the least why those Igbos in America hated he Yorubas, because when they returned to Lagos/SW.. To get back the properties they sold at a very ridiculous price. The SW did not agree to sell it back to them.
Tell me,who said they should listen to one drunk yard that later ran away. Your run away dead Ojujwu Hero..
Well, I trust my most informed Igbo brothers of today. If that kind of stupid call comes up again, they will surely ignore not even today where people work very hard to make ends meet. One drunkard will now tell me to go back to SE because they're about forming their own NATION??
We are more advance than this... Plus last thing, we know where this threat is coming from.. The AngloZionist Empire. It could be you were on 8th shot of Vodka when you typed this. I hear that the Vodka in Warsaw or should I say Warsvwer is good? I know what Kurwa means. So I know you will understand when I call you "Kurwa madge" or maybe I should say "piedole"? pazienza: Not at all. Infact mere suggestion that they are Igbo at the end of the day, is enough to see them conjuring up images of you wanting to exterminate them and steal their oil, as a matter of fact, it's the worst crime you will ever commit. Calling them Igbo to them simply translates to the rest of Ndiigbo wanting to share their oil wealth with them or simply outrun them and seize their oil wealth.
That's how bleeped up their mentality are.
If you want to be their friends, call them Ikwerre, Etche, Ogba, Ekpeye, it gives them a sense of security, an assurance that they won't get over run by the hordes of invaders in SE waiting to take their land from them. I understand where your coming from. It took me a while to understand it as an Anambra man. The average SE Igbo will find it hard to swallow just like me. But what we are talking about now has gone past petty differences or politics. An uncle of mine,in 1970 after the war, went back to the house he built in PH only to meet an Ikwere woman who had taken over his house and told him that "Igbos are not welcome here". The fact that she was speaking in Ikwere ( which is an Igbo dialect not even an Ikwere man can deny) and he was responding in conventional Igbo meant nothing to her.I was at an Ikwere persons burial less than 2 months ago and during the eulogy, many Ikwere introduced themselves. All of them had Igbo surnames and I understood 80 to 90% of the Ikwere dialect. I knew in my heart that these are are my kith kin. But it goes both ways. Some of then will still call me an Anambra man 'Isoma' or ' Ndi-Isoma'. I agree with what the poster said. Should the Ikwere be a problem with the restoration of Biafra, we forgo PortHacourt and wish the Ikwere kingdom well in Nigeria. But at the back of my mind, I still believe that the Ikwere will return to the Igbo fold or at least the Biafran fold because Biafra is not about being Igbo. what unites us much is much deeper than what wants to divides us. |
Politics › Re: Why Do Most Igbos Hate Buhari For Nothing? by kingzizzy: 12:10am On Oct 25, 2015 |
Why Igbos hate Buhari? I can think of a couple of things.
(1) Buhari was one of the ring leaders of the July 1966 counter coup that slaughtered over 300 eastern Nigerian officers. Lt Buhari as he was then known was then an Army transport officer in Lagos and assisted the lunatic, Lt Colonel Murtala Mohammed, to kill many Igbo officers in Lagos.
(2) Buhari was one of the core northern officers along with the devil, Murtala Mohammed, supported Gowon to reneg on the agreement he signed with Ojukwu so that him and his fellow northerners could implement their 'divide and rule'
(3) as a Major and combatant officer during the war, only God knows how many Igbos Buhari killed
(4) Buhari is the face of Northern domination. This is a man who became what he is in life by being a successful coup plotter. The Murtala coup, Dimkas coup, and his own coup made him Governor,Minister and head of state respectively.
(5) Buhari is a reminder of why Black Africa just can't move foward. No developed country would ever elect a man with Buharis history as president. But because we are Nigerians, such a man can return as a democratically elected president. And the democracy we are talking about is "whenever we Yorubas and our northern compatriots unite, we decide who rules!". How did you people think Igbos were going to accept that nonsense?
Biafra must rise!!! And the Zoo must fall!! |

Gowon is a disgrace. This is a man who went Ghana and signed an agreement with Ojukwu infront of the President of Ghana only for him to return to Lagos and go back on the agreement which resulted in war.
How can Gowon justify killing millions of people to keep the 'White mans invention' known as Nigeria one?
Here is again saying that he knows that majority of Igbos want to be in Nigeria. This is the same nonsense he told the international community just before he went to war. How can Gowon claim to speak for Igbos? Why didn't he conduct a referendum amongst Igbos to know what the want instead of going to kill millions of people?
Gowon was a disgrace to the uniform he wore. |
Politics › Re: Is Biafra Igbo? by kingzizzy: 12:37pm On Oct 24, 2015 |
If any of the minorities will be a problem to the restoration of Biafra, then I am for an all Igbo Biafra. Infact, many Nigerians have said that if Igbos leave the minorities alone, they will grant us Biafra much faster. We do not need people who don't know what they want to drag us back into Nigeria. So if the minorities cannot make up their minds, we leave them and go! It's after we have left that they will taste the full brunt of Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba partnership well. But I have to stress again that if Igbos alone go as Biafrans, all Igbos must go! And when I mean all Igbos, I mean the Igbos of the lower Benue,Delta Igbos from Asaba to the Igbo speaking community of Igbanke in Edo state. All Rivers Igbos like Etche-Igbos,Omuma-Igbos,Ahoada-Igbos and so on. When it comes the Ikweres-Igbos, those people are just too misguided. They are too busy claiming not to Igbo to see the bigger picture. In the first post of this thread, we see an Ikwere girl with the surname Okonkwo-Ogabu call Igbos 'strangers'. How can someone with the surname 'Okonkwo' call Igbos strangers if that person is not terribly daft? How can someone who speaks Igbo as their ancestral language and has an Igbo surname call Igbos strangers? That's how Chibike Amaechi, an Ikwere man, went to Aba to campaign for APC and said:
"My people! Don't vote GEJ! He is an Ijaw man who cannot speak Igbo. I, on the other hand am an Igbo man who can speak Igbo!
Amaechi was an Igbo man in Aba but an Ikwere man in PortHarcourt. That's how Ikwere people are hypocrites. When it is in their favour, they become Igbos, when it is not in their favour, they become Ikwere. If Biafra must be an all Igbo affair, we cannot afford to have sabotures like the Ikwere to be part of it. We need people who are proud to be Igbos to be part of it. We must reach out to the Igbos by the sea like the Opobo-Igbos and Bonny-Igbos. An all Igbo Biafra will be great, we have all it takes, we have the brains, the Oil and Gas, the minerals and the human potential.

atbu1983: if Nigeria with over 250 ethnic group can survive, why not Niger delta with only 30 ethnic group. Note: There is no country in the world (US inclusive) with absolute unity.
Disagreement among nationalities in a country is normal. As at today, some people in Texas in the United state are still asking for freedom to leave united state.
http://nypost.com/2015/08/31/texas-group-wants-vote-on-us-secession-on-ballot/
A group called the Texas Nationalist Movement fanned out to 31 cities across Texas this weekend trying to gather the 75,000 signatures they say they need to get the question of the state’s secession from the United States on the primary ballot next spring. Texas is one of only two US states, the other being Hawaii, that were once internationally recognized sovereign nations, with diplomatic ties to other countries. Although legal experts said it would be unconstitutional for Texas to break away via a primary vote, there is still a spirit of Texas independence among many in the Lone Star State.
“What we are seeing, over and over, is this complete disconnect between the people of Texas, what they want, and what is going on in Washington, DC,” TNM President Daniel Miller told Reuters.
“The people of Texas don’t have anything against the United States, they are just tired of being governed by bureaucrats we didn’t elect pushing programs we don’t want.”
He compared Texas to Scotland, which narrowly defeated a proposal to secede from the United Kingdom last year, and Catalonia, which is pushing to hold a vote on independence from Spain this year. “We are living in the era of the right of political self-determination,” Miller said. But there is one rather big problem, according to T. Gerald Treece, a professor at South Texas College of Law in Houston and an expert on Constitutional Law. You missed my point. I'm not saying the South-South of over 30 ethnic groups cannot survive. They are surviving already. What I asked is can all of them decide to one country? Remember, we are talking of many ethnicities, some who don't even have anything to do with each other. If just one if these ethnicities decides it doesn't want a Niger-Delta Republic, there might be serious problems |

PenSniper: But his views is to the point. Nigeria can't make a single nation but a confederation of nations at best. Otherwise, she is bound to break up someday. The component ethnicities that make up Nigeria haven't got the pedigree to jointly make it a nation. Whatever anyone may say, am praying very hard for the biafra project to succeed and that's not saying am Ibo but just believe this country must split. No one needs a crystal ball to know that a century-old experiment that ended in hopelessness and more dis-unity than it started has no future.
Nigeria is a fraud I completely agree. I read about the 1964 elections and how it was brazenly rigged. The mayhem that came after that. I believe that a confederation would have been the best option however, it would have still led to secession. Personally, I don't think there's any hope for Nigeria. It will disintegrate and I believe that Buhari will be a major catalyst towards this |

What I wonder is can Ijaws,Ogonis,Itshekiris,Urohbos,Anangs,Efiks etc who make this up, can they come together to decide on this country? There over 30 tribes in the SS, can they come together to decide on a country? I simply don't know. Another thing is what about the SS Igbos? The Delta Igbos, Ahoada Igbos, Etche Igbos, Omuma Igbos and Ikwere Igbos? Would they want to join their kith and kin in Biafra or Niger-Delta Republic? Many questions but no answers. Ironsi introduced the Unitary system of governance into Nigeria and it was a smoke-screen for y1bos to be lording it over everybody, after killing their leaders.
This is the full speech of Aguiyi Ironsi Speech on January 15. 1966 1966 Coup Speech Of Major General Johnson Auiyi-Ironsi
The government of the Federation of Nigeria having ceased to function, the Nigerian Armed Forces have been invited to form an Interim Military Government for the purposes of maintaining law and order, and of maintaining essential services. This invitation has been accepted, and I, General J.T.U. Aguiyi-Ironsi, the General Officer Commanding the Nigerian Army, have been formally invested with authority as Head of the Federation Military Government, and Supreme Commander of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
SUSPENSION OF CERTAIN PARTS OF THE CONSTITUTION
The Federation Military Government hereby decrees:
a. the suspension of the provisions of the Constitution of the Federation relating to the office of President, the establishment of Parliament, and of the office of Prime Minister;
b. the suspension of the provisions of the Constitutions of the Regions relating to the establishment of the offices of Regional Governors, Regional Premiers and Executive Councils, and Regional Legislatures.
APPOINTMENT OF REGIONAL MILITARY GOVERNORS
The Federation Military Government further decrees:
a. that there shall be appointed a Military Governor in each Region of the Federation, who shall be directly responsible to the Federal Military Government for the good government of the Region; b. the appointment as Adviser to the Military Governor of the Region, of the last person to hold the office of Governor of the Region under the suspended provisions of the Constitution.
THE JUDICIARY, THE CIVIL SERVICE AND THE POLICE
The Federation Military Government further decrees:
a. that the Chief Justice and all other holders of judicial appointments within the Federation shall continue in their appointments, and that the judiciary generally shall continue to function under their existing statutes;
b. that all holders of appointments in the Civil Service of the Federation and of the Regions shall continue to hold their appointments and to carry out their duties in the normal way, and that similarly the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Special Constabulary shall continue to exercise their functions in the normal way;
c. that all Local Government Police Forces and Native Authority Police Forces shall be placed under the overall command of the Inspector-General.
INTERNAL AFFAIRS POLICY
The Federation Military Government announces, in connection with the internal affairs of the Federation:
a. that it is determined to suppress the current disorder in the Western Region and in the Tiv area of the Northern Region;
b. that it will declare Martial Law in any area of the Federation in which disturbances continue;
c. that it is its intention to maintain law and order in the Federation until such time as a new Constitution for the Federation, prepared in accordance with the wishes of the people, is brought into being.
EXTERNAL AFFAIRS POLICY
The Federation Military Government announces, in connection with the external affairs of the country:
a. that it is desirous of maintaining the existing diplomatic relations with other States; and
b. that it is its intention to honour all treaty obligations and all financial agreements and obligations entered into by the previous Government.
CITIZENS TO CO-OPERATE
The Federation Military Government calls upon all citizens of the Federation to extend their full co-operation to the Government in the urgent task of restoring law and order in the present crisis, and to continue in their normal occupations. Your problem is that you dont know the difference between unification and unitary. All 4 regions were in place with federal fiscal policy and resource control. The only thing that was missing was political control which is not possible under military rule. It was Gowon that came in, abolished the regions, created States, took away resource control and fiscal policy. Yet you keep jumping about different threads saying it was Ironsi. Why didn't you ask Gowon why he did not keep to the confederation he and Ojukwu signed in Ghana? He couldn't keep it because it prevented him and his fellow Notherners from implementing their 'divide and rule' agender. It is not keeping to the confederal agreement by Gowon that directly led to the declaration of Biafra by Ojukwu. Yorubas and Northerners have ruled Nigeria for almost 50 yeas out of 55, why haven't they brought back regionalsm in all that time? Let's not fool ourselves here. Unitary rule rewards the parasites up in the north handsomely and they will never let it go. Regionalism or confederalism will not only drastically reduce the political power of the North, it will also greatly reduce their federal Government subventions as well because of resource control. Therefore, they will never agree to a confederation or regionalism. The North is most likely going to fight a war than let this happen. Anyone hoping for regionalism or resource control in Nigeria is wasting their time. The only solution is Biafra or Niger-Delta Republic |

EUROBOMBER: I will not do that. While I respect those that fought and died during the unfortunate war, I was born a Nigerian and will remain one.
Nigeria will remain one indivisible country and any attempts at breaking this country has already failed. Have you ever asked your self why you are a Nigerian? You are a Nigerian because an opportunistic British thief called Frederick Lugard came down to West Africa and beat up, shot at and killed your forefathers. The rest of what was left, he 'baptised' them with the slave name Nigerian while he stole their resources and sovereignty. Lugard then returned to Britain in 1919 a stupendously rich man where he was rewarded with a "Lordship" title. You are Nigerian because of a sustained act of vandalism by the White man and it is shameful that in this 21st century, you still validate that illegal act by answering an illegal name. To this day, the act of vandalism continues, only it is not the whiteman doing it any more but a section of the country. How long did you think that Lugards fraud would continue before indigenous West Africans such as Igbo would request for their sovereignty back? You can answer that fraudulent white mans name all you like but if you think us Igbos are going to carry on with this Lugardian fraud called Nigeria, think again. |

Kagawa10: The same way Zik joined Odua secession? Wasn't it not Zik who truncated Odua secession? Shameless people! And who is holding you eediots from going back to your gully erosion red mud region? We'll start to take you fl@thead serious once you first converge and retreat back to your gully erosion area! Yeye people! . I'm happy you guys are finally accepting that there is no such thing as 'one Nigeria'. Below is a flag hanging on the door to my living room. Kagawa10: If the unitary government wasn't implemented under Ironsi's regime, what business do Ojukwu have with governing the people of the North after the death of the sarduna which was caused by an ibo coup? I swear, the Fulanis were too slow with their Progrom! The truth on ground is Zik truncated both Ijaws and Odua's secession when things were going well for the ibos! They plotted the first coup and even implemented a unitary decree against the cries of the North and Yorubas! These eediots abused the powers given to them and subjugated their southern counterparts, forgetting the law of karma! I'm quite sure Ibos thought they would continue to be in power not knowing that the Fulani would hijack such power from them and subject them to the sane misery they caused Nigeria! Bunch of shameless hypocritic sets! You are kind of fond of turning history on its head. If you think the Igbos are hypocrites and bad people, join the fight for Biafra so that the Igbos can go back home and leave you alone |

EUROBOMBER: My greetings to all.
I initially announced my retirement from nairaland and actually stayed away from this site for weeks to have some peace of mind. Recently, I started reading topics on nairaland as a guest and discovered that IPOB nuisance is getting out of hand.
I have decided to return because I can no longer keep quiet while some misguided elements continue to paint the Igbos in negative light; no thanks to the myopic Kanu Nnamdi.
This is just to announce that I am back and nairaland will read much more from me.
I have also discovered that the MODs have not been doing enough to help check IPOB nuisance on nairaland, reasonable threads created by intelligent Igbos like Lygn19/Abagworo are never sent to the front page. A lot of this happened to me too before I retired.
Seun, Please I would need you and your MODs to help me because I intend to change the tide here.
So help me God.

Lygn19, TonyeBarcanista, Scatterboss, Beremx. Gbawe, Passingshot, Desola. You are changing which tide? So you can justify the continued existence of your zoological Republic of Lord Lugard? |
