Yorubas dont know what they want. Today it is Nigerian presidency, tomorrow it is Oduduwa Republic, next tomorrow it is restructuring |
Pleasant01:In Rivers, after Portharcourt, is there any other urban area? In Kano, after the capital city Kano, is there any other urban area worth mentioning? But in Anambra, after the capital city Awka, you can still mention two huge urban areas of Onitsha and Nnewi Thats how you know that Kano and Rivers cant compare to Anambra in terms of development |
Lagos and Abuja are former and current capital territories respectively and recieved massive government investment that made both what they are. No state can compare to both in terms of development However, besides Lagos and Abuja, there is no state in Nigeria that can claim to be more developed than Anambra Development is not how large your state is or the size of its IGR. Its all about infrastructure on the ground. Anambra could be the only state in Nigeria that has 3 cities, Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka. Outside the two capital territories, no state in Nigeria can claim to be more developed than Anambra

Hillard:So they have been sitting on IPOB case to have its proscription overturned for 2 years now? They are too scared to sit because they know they will have no choice than to unproscribe IPOB |
Miracle1991:So what they are carrying the flag of Biafra? That flag has been in existence over 50 years, long before there was anything called IPOB. Besides, other groups such as MASSOB and BZF, that are not proscribed, use that flag. Nobody took an oat to be Nigerian, and even if they did, international law allows anybody or any group to agitate for independence from the country they belong to. Wether you get your representatives to table a request at the national assembly for independence or not, you are still allowed to agitate for independence Nigeria is not a serious country. This is a country that has reduced a very serious issue such as terrorism to childs play. Niger Delta Militants took up arms and killed people, nobody declared them terrorists OPC took up arms and killed people, nobody declared them terrorists. Killer herdsmen are armed and killing people all over Nigeria from Southern Kaduna to Benue, nobody declared them terrorists But IPOB that are not armed and did not kill anybody is who the Nigerian government believes are the real terrorists who should be proscribed All the armed groups out there killing Nigerians daily, it is those going to see native Doctor that government is mobilising to arrest. A useless country |
The way those in power now insulted Jonathan when they were in the opposition, had Jonathan decided to come down hard on them as they are doing now........... |
adekolaelect:Wrong, IPOB is the court of appeal trying to lift that proscription. But beyond that, do you have to be a legal organisation to visit a native Doctor? |
Miracle1991:The organisation may be proscribed but going to see a native doctor is not proscribed. If a group of people go to see a native Doctor, what has that got to do with proscription? Let me put it in another way. Lets say an IPOB member falls sick and needs to be rushed to the hospital. All his neigbours are also IPOB members. They rush him to the hospital but on the way, they are arrested and told they cannot gather and the IPOB members dies because of lack of medical attention. Do you think thats right? Or lets say that there is a church and half of the members of the church are IPOB members, the IPOB members are to be denied their right to worship because they have gathered in Church? Proscription only means that an organisation is no longer allowed to exist, it does not mean that the rights of the people such as freedom of movement and worship have been taken away The proscription of IPOB actually showed that Nigeria is not a serious country. While other countries are proscribing violent armed organisations that are killing people, the Nigerian government chose to proscribe IPOB that is neither armed nor killed anyone Niger Delta militants were armed and killed people, no proscription OPC was armed and killed people, no proscription Killer herdsmen are armed and killing people, no proscription But it is unarmed IPOB that killed nobody, and are just waving flags on the streets, that government decided is the real terrorist group that should be proscribed. What a clueless country |
Picture 1. Governor Masari of Katsina poses for pictures with an armed terrorist who is probably a Boko Haram member Picture 2. Governor Shettima of Borno declares that IPOB, who are unarmed and have very little record of violence, are more dangerous than Boko Haram that are armed and have killed hundreds of thousands of Nigerians and driven millions into IDP camps in his own state. Interesting. Thats Northern Governors for you
|
What Ojukwu saw more than 50 years ago, some people are just starting to see now |
Bkayyy:That picture of Kano was a total disaster! You mean Kano still looks like that? |
Cyberterror:It had nothing to do with where Itanyi was from, it had more to do with the fact that Nnamani had just returned from vacation from the USA and discovered that Itanyi had paid some government contractors from money Nnamani wanted to use for another project |
helinues:Outside the federal capital territories of Lagos and Abuja, there is no state in Nigeria that can claim to be more developed than Anambra. Infact, I dont think there any state that can claim to have 3 well know urban areas like Anambra has in Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi |
HedwigesMaduro:And after achieving all these remarkable feats, then what? Are Yorubas any better off than Igbos? |
I hear this happend between Buhari and Osibanjo but it was never recorded Reminds me of when Governor Nnamani of Enugu state slapped his own deputy Governor, Okechukwu Itanyi, at a function |
Awka4chinoidio:What are you talking about? Dont you know that Police zones are created by the federal government? |
We are all going to stand before God in judgement some day. When that day comes, it wont matter what religious connotation you gave your self while on earth. It wont matter if you called your self a Jew, Judaist, Christian or Pentecost. The only thing that will matter is the life you lived |
This Igbo man called Peter Odili. Oh well, we keep watching |
Chimok:And they are still in Nigeria, poverty capital of the world and centre on insecurity in Africa The only reason Yorubas are relevant in the disintegration of Nigeria is because they know that if they choose Oduduwa Republic today, Igbos will not stand in their way, making it impossible for the North to stop them. Had it been that Igbos were full supporters of "one Nigeria", Yorubas and any dream of disintegration would be irrelevant because there is no chance Yorubas have of taking on the combined force of the North and Igbos. Yoruba land would be overrun in a month. Its one thing for Igbos to take on Nigeria and fight for 3 years. If Yorubas tried the same, they wouldn't last one month. |
Funny how Nigerians cheer when the authorities are abusing their powers if it is people they dont like. They dont seem to understand that the injustice you support today could be the injustice visited on you tomorrow |
I will never understand the Nigerian police. Almost 70 peaceful unarmed people are travelling to see a native Doctor, you arrest them and claim they are going to get powers that will stop bullets penetrating their bidies so that they can go about snatching guns? What kind of stupid statement is that? How can you arrest a person for a crime they have not yet committed? The NPF is an embarrassment |
ubecharles:Of course he is as Igbo as it gets. His name is actually Chinedu Nwoko but he shortened Chinedu to just "Ned" |
Austria, a small land locked country of less than 10 million people but is richer than Nigeria Switzerland, a small land locked country that is the size of Abia abd Enugu state. Has less than 10 million people but is the 13th richest country on earth with a bigger GDP than Nigeria Small or big, what matters is the quality of life the land can give the people who live on it. |
Only barbarians destroy buildings they could confiscate and put to other uses |
BehindBiafra:Then that means he is the only unarmed terrorist in history. Kanu is not armed and there no such thing as an unarmed terrorist |
freeborn02:People like Charles Taylor and Radovan Karazic thought the same, they are now in jail |
More and more countries of the international community are choosing not to sell light arms to Nigeria due to its poor human rights record. Nigeria badly needs those weapons if it will overcome terrorism, violent insurgency and banditry. Amnesty International has well documented cases of the Nigerian security forces killing unarmed protesters such as IPOB and Shiites(IMN). While the Nigerian government has designated both groups to be terrorist organisations, the international community does not recognize them as such because the minimum standard of declaring a group to be terrorists is that the group must be armed and engaged in widespread violence. Neither group are armed and both have very few cases of violence. It is ever becoming apparent to the international community that the Nigerian government may be using arms to crush the voice of dissent, intimidate the opposition and commit human rights abuse. Nigeria must improve its human rights record if it wants to taken serious by the international community |
Tkester:When he returned to Nigeria in 2015, was it quarter way he came to meet them? |
bolaayenimo:Switzerland is just the size of Abia and Enugu state combined but Switzerland is far richer than Nigeria Japan is a very small country but is the second richest country on earth Land size is no achievement, its all about what you can do with whatever land you have. |
At about 7 O'clock this morning, August 14th, IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu held an interractive Q & A broadcast in which he took questions from Radio Biafra listeners all over the world. However, before Nnamdi Kanu started taking questions, he commented on the 67 IPOB members arrested yesterday in Imo state. This is what he said: "Before I throw open the phone lines for our faithful listeners to call in, there is something very important I must say. I want to bring the attention of the world to what the supreme court Governor of Imo state and the Yoruba commissioner of Police are doing in Imo state" "They arrested 67 people going to see a native Doctor. Since when has going to see a native Doctor become a crime? Our forefathers did it, politicians do it even Christians. The foolish Yoruba commissioner of Police in Imo state arrested 67 people based on future prediction of a crime that has not yet been committed. What did these 67 people do? Were they armed? Is there no longer freedom of movement and worship in a democracy?" "Everyday they arrest our peaceful members, lock them up, torture them and kill them. While that injustice is happening, many look the other way. They are trying to provoke us into taking up arms just like they did to Boko haram. Boko Haram was once a peaceful group agitating for an Islamic caliphate. It was what the security forces did to them that made them abandon peaceful agitation and pick up arms and Nigeria has been fighting for almost 10 years. Now that IPOB is unarmed and peaceful, everyone is looking the other way at injustice been done to us. If we pick up arms tomorrow, they will not remember that there was a time we were peacefully asking for justice" "The Supreme court Governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinmma, and the foolish Yoruba commissioner of Police for Imo state must release these 67 people, it is not a crime to visit a native Doctor. This level of intimidation and bastardisation of the rule of law has been going on for a very long time. How can you arrest people, parade them, and claim you are doing so because you think they might commit a crime in the future? People that have committed no crime? And the press who should be asking the critical question of what these people did, just buy's into that mockery of justice? "This is why Africa is poor, the black man cannot reason. How can you arrest unarmed people traveling somewhere but you will never arrest armed herdsmen killing people everywhere? Is it because we have chosen not to be armed in the face injustice been done to us? Let the world remember there was a time we asked for justice and the authorities looked the other way. The 67 people arrested must be released immediately! |
RuudVanNisteroy:Im not the biggest fan of Peter Obi but I will give him his props when he has done well. In the video, Peter Obi said that International breweries offered him 15% of the company. Rather than take the 15%, he gave 10% to Anambra state government and let Next, a family company. He then invested 30 million Dollars of Anambra state money into the company and it is now worth 100 million Dollars. Anambra state made money and got an additional 10% stake in a company. So what is the problem? Peter Obi gifted Anambra 10% which he could have easily pocketed |
