Why is it that everything with IPOB is usually peaceful until the security arrive, then it will turn violent?

When IPOB are left alone, everything is peaceful. Once the security forces land, there will be shootings and killings. Why? It becomes clear to anyone who has a brain that it is the security forces who are bringing violence into the IPOB matter. The same security that should be bringing peace are the ones bringing violence and death to unarmed people

They will never kill armed Heardsmen that are slaughtering people, they will never kill boko haram, they will never kill armed bandits

But as soon as they see unarmed IPOB, they will open fire

Buhari actively participated in the counter coup, a fact he already confirmed in the past. Its just unfortunate for Ironsi, he was looking for 'one Nigeria', trying to build bridges, hoping to mend fences, but forgot the most important thing of all, that he was an Igbo man and that alone would make power blocs in Nigeria hate him for holding executive power.

When some Igbos talk about 2023 Presidency, I laugh. Its not a bad thing if an Igbo man becomes President of Nigeria, but few ever think what that would result in.

An Igbo President of Nigeria will be the most hated man in Nigeria by the power blocs. Everyday he is power will be undermined, sabotaged and ridiculed. It wont matter how well intentioned he is, just the fact that he is an Igbo man and President, will some people in Nigeria sleepless nights as they try to pull him down.

I pity an Igbo President of Nigeria, what he will go through, he will almost be wishing he was killed after just 6 months like Ironsi.

The Arewa youths did not see all the armed groups in the North like ISWAP and killer herdsmen that are murdering people, all they saw is unarmed IPOB that was threatening their property called "Nigeria". It was about Master/slave relationship. The North wants to dictate to everyone how 'one Nigeria' will be

One day, Igbo land will be an independent nation and the likes of that idiot called Yerima Shettima will become irrelevant

All we need is peace to reign in our country. Let the average citizen travel along our highways without the fear of been robbed or kidnapped. Let all farmers go to their farm without the fear if been killed by some group of people. Let those IDPs go back to their home in North East without the fear of terrorist attacking them.

Nigeria is already at war. Boko haram, ISWAP, Killer herdsmen and all the armed bandits in the North killing people from Southern Kaduna to wherever. Even Buhari's home state of Katsina is under siege. Nigeria has already started disintegration. The only reason why Nigeria has not disintegrated is that nobody in the South has yet taken up arms against the federal government. The day that happens, its game over for Nigeria. Personally, 8 dont want that to happen because referendum is a peaceful way of resolving political issues

I dont see IPOB ever taking up arms, they dont need to. The Northern elements killing people for whatever reason will keep doing so until Nigeria collapses and Igbos will go their way as Biafra. IPOB has already done much of their job by raising awareness for Biafra, its just about keeping that awareness until Nigeria collapses and everyone goes their separate ways.

The point here is that no child ever fired a gun nor became a combatant fighter fir Biafra as is implied in this thread. To become a Soldier, you must be trained in the use of firearms. A child who is only carrying the guns of other Soldiers is no Soldier

The Federal Government is an embarrassment. Terrorism is a serious issue in most civilised countries because it involves lives and property. But the Nigerian government and indeed some stupid Nigerians reduced terrorism to stone throwing and insults

In the international community, due to the seriousness of terrorism, the minimum requirement to be even considered a terrorist group is that the group must be armed.

In Nigeria, the government considers an unarmed group like IPOB to be terrorists because they threw stones and sticks at Soldiers and insulted people

As said above. Nigeria and its regions would have been better off, had it been Aburi accord was followed to its letter. 54years later and we are still suffering from one one " villain-fied " man saw as its problems.

You are asking a very stupid question. Kanu and IPOB are not armed. The easiest thing Soldiers can do is fight unarmed people, anybody with a gun can fight an unarmed person. It is actually a big disgrace on the part of the federal government that they need a whole platoon of Soldiers to go and fight an unarmed man like Kanu who only has his mouth. It showed that federal government is clueless because only a clueless government will leave all the armed groups out there, from Boko haram to killer herdsmen, and decide that it is Kanu and hiz group, who dont even have catapult and killed nobody, they will send Soldiers against

Then the Federal government made its cluelessness international when they designated IPOB a terrorist organisation, something the international community roundly rejected. The FG didnt realize that for a group to be designated terrorists, the minimum requirement is that the group must be armed. IPOB did not even meet the minimum requirement to be classed as a terrorist group since they have never been armed

In the meantime, we have other armed groups like killer herdsmen who are slaughtering people but will never be declared terrorists

I wonder why a particular section of the country are always on Aba's case? You will never see the same people commenting on other nice places in Abia such as Umuahia or Abiriba(small London). They will always go to a refuse site or a flooded area of Aba, take pictures, then post it as if it represents all of Aba. Is there any city in Nigeria that does not have a refuse dump or bad roads?
