Igbochief001:Nobody is allowed to control their resources in Nigeria. I have no sympathy for Akwa Ibom or the South South in that regard. They know that they are being exploited in Nigeria but they dont want to do anything about it. When they see other people from the South East actively agitating and protesting for restructuring or to break away from the same oppressive Nigeria, they dont join in their large numbers. Nigeria is draining their Oil wealth while they are relaxing and talking nonsense Now someone is posting what they generate even though Akwai Ibom will never see much of that wealth. They deserve it, may be some day they will finally get sense. |
Muna4real:Its just one of their many lies. In 1968, Biafra had no shortage of manpower to fight in the war to be recruiting children. What there was shortage of was ammunition. Even during the tail end of the war in 1969 when the shortage of manpower started to show, those recruited were middle teenagers from 16 up, but never kids as young as these. What Biafra had back then was the Biafran boys company |
Has it translated into a better standard of living for Akwaibomites? Thats what matters. |
SLAP44:Forever and ever |
Im listening although his voice sounds like he has a cold |
35824L:Thats greed. Nobody from the South West should talking of Presidency in 2023 when the South West have already had 8 full years with Obasanjo. The Presidency should either go to the South East who have not had at all, or go to the South South to let them complete their 8 years which Goodluck never completed The South West has no business with Presidency in 2023 |
Africonji:Anambrarians did not elect him for his dress sense, they only care if he is performing |
One thing I do know is that Igbo land will eventually become an independent nation. Nigeria has failed in every ramification, it will never work. What this generation owes the future generations is to try and get out of the irredeemable failure called Nigeria and give that generation an independent homeland where they can manage their land and resources for a better tomorrow Anyone hoping that Nigeria will get better is dreaming, it will only get progressively worse |
Nta lite kuo ume? For talita cumi? Its possible |
Militarised democracy |
I dont onow why Ugwuanyi has decided to destroy this beautiful park with his useless statues |
Hellraiser77:People keep talking as if being landlocked is something major, it is not. What matters is if one has access to the sea to import or export goods and services. Some people have come to believe that you must have a coast line to be able import or export, this is simply not true. All you need to have access to the sea is an international waterway that is deep enough to take barges and is close enough to the sea to make economic sense. The South East has at least three of these points at Onitsha, Oguta in Imo and Obuaku in Abia. They all have acceess to the sea |
The Apex court has declared the candidature of Lyon null and void. From my own understanding, the time for substituting candidates has elapsed. Therefore, the only difference in the rerun is that the affected party that was excluded will now be put on the ballot. As far as the Supreme court is concerned, APC is not a participant in the 2019 election and the decision of a lower court cannot change that. |
Charmingrascal:No thats not how terrorists operate. Terrorist kill people! Threat without action is not terrorism |
If Britain that created Nigeria can give two out of its 4 constituent areas referendum, then no Nigerian should referring to Nigeria as indissoluble or indivisible. Britain gave Northern Ireland referendum in 1972 and Scotland in 2014. If those who created Nigeria have shown that even them are not indivisible, I dont know how a Nigerian who was only created in 1914 can be talking about indivisibility |
pricklewane:The mass killings were already happening up in the North, Jos 1945 and Kano in 1953. As for the civil war, that couldn't have been stopped. Igbos were bound to fight for their freedom at some point |
allthingsgood:Dont worry about referendum. When Nigeria breaks up, it may not be through referendum. It may just be that all of us have become tired of "one Nigeria" and decided to go our separate ways just as we were before the British came to join us together |
Chairman/CEO of Atlas Oranto Petroleum International Limited, Prince Engineer Arthur Eze has doled out the sum of $1m to support the on-going crackdown on criminals in the state and pledged the sum of one billion naira to support the governor’s agricultural programme. Making the donation in his palatial home of Ukpo in Dunukofia Kingdom of Anambra State when the governor, accompanied by his deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke and the National Chairman of APGA, Sir Victor Umeh, paid him a courtesy call at the weekend, Prince Eze who is a famous philanthropist and a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, explained that the gesture was intended to encourage Governor Obiano’s efforts to make Anambra State a habitable and business-friendly environment for all. According to him, Governor Obiano had shown great wisdom in making security the priority of his administration as the fear of violent criminals in the state had denied it the benefits of rapid industrial growth arising from investment inflows that would have come from its entrepreneurial indigenes as well as foreign investors. |
Happier times. It was 2014, Governor Obiano was still in his first term, Prince Arthur Eze was in PDP and there was nothing called APC. Governor Obiano went to visit Billionaire Oil mogul, Prince Arthur Eze in his palatial country home in Ukpo, and Arthur Eze shocked the Governor and his entourage by handing Governor Obiano a cheque for one million Dollars. The money was a donation to the Anambra State government to aid security efforts being implemented by the state government https://www.nairaland.com/1834396/arthur-eze-supports-obianos-govt

DaddyRochie1642:Ask them oo. A man is in his official residence rocking rugged jeans and some people want to have heart attack for nothing |
allthingsgood:There is no legal framework for referendum in the British constitution too. But Britain gave Scotland referendum in 2014 and also used referendum to leave the EU in 2016 Even in Nigeria, referendum is nothing new. It was referendum that made Atiku Abubakar a Nigerian in 1961. It was also a referendum that created the Midwest Region in 196. Referendum does not have to be in the constitution, the National Assembly can order one at any time |
allthingsgood:The UN and AU charters which Nigeria is a signatory to allows any indigenous people to seek self determination or independence If not for those international laws, Nigeria would still be the property of Britain |
So basically, what the man is saying is that the civil war was about fighting for Oil. They won the civil war and thats why Bayelsa Oil belongs to Jigawa. |
2023 is the focus of many people even it is most likely going to be another clueless idiot who will be elected into office that year |
It is the right of all indigenous people to decide if they want to remain part of a country or not |
Pleasant01:This one thinks that landmass means development. Its just to show how some Nigerians reason. Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria but may Yorubas use that state state as a yardstick for the development in the entire South West. Some Northerners do the same with Abuja. When you now take away Lagos and Abuja, because as capital territories, they are far ahead due to massive government investment, you find out that certain people become naked Is there any state that can claim to be more developed than Anambra besides the federal capital territories of Lagos and Abuja? People start talking about population, IGR, landmass and erosion, simply because they have nothing to use in claiming that their state is more developed than Anambra |
helinues:What has population got to do with how developed you are? Austria has a population less than that of Kano state but the entire Nigeria is not as developed as Austria |
Pleasant01:Anyone can cook up those numbers. However, population is not development. I still stand by what I said, that beside Lagos and Abuja, no state in Nigeria can claim to be more developed than Anambra |
Okwyjesus:Why didnt it move to otti twice he ran under APGA? |
Miracle1991:There is no confirmed case of IPOB killing anybody |
helinues:States are based on population, not landmass. The population of Anambra is as large as that of Oyo, if not more. Outside Ibadan, what other developed urban areas are in Oyo? Probably none. As much as Ibadan is a big city, it is no where near the combined development of Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi, all in Anambra |
helinues:What has size got to do with development? |
