Janetudeh:Nigeria is one? Since when? Nigeria had never been.one since the day Lugard created Nigeria in 1914. I do not know why we have to be united? Because Lugard brought us together? Because we love one another? Because Nigeria is working? A lot of people want the unity of Nigeria just for the sake of wanting the unity of Nigeria and not out of any cogent reason why Nigeria should be together As an Igbo man, I can only speak for my ethnic group. I think that a referendum should be given to Igbos to let them decide if they want to be part of Nigeria. Any unity that is "By force" is no longer unity. |
desmond2pk:People should disregard the order? Why? It might be sport but we are not united about anything . If I had the means of going to Russia, I would have flown a Biafran flag there as well |
GoTV:That's very bad for him and the Nigerian Army because what it means is that they can only conquer unarmed people. So what it means is that unless Shekau, Herdsmen and Niger Delta Avengers give up their guns, Burutai and his Nigerian Army are useless. |
Just like I thought, all the slaves of the Caliphate have ignored this thread because has to do with the Herdsmen who are agents of the caliphate But If it were IPOB or Biafran thread, you will see them.jumpnon the thread because Biafra is a threat to their caliphate masters |
Getting a court judgement to get Buhari to proscribe Herdsmen as a terrorist organisation? That won't happen. Buhari is too biased to proscribe Herdsmen who are mainly his own ethnic group. If the Herdsmen had been from any ethnic group in the south, Buhari would have rushed to get them proscribed. He proscribed IPOB that killed nobody and left the Herdsmen who slaughter people daily, that's all you need to see Buhari's nepotism and bias. |
Very good interview by Emma powerful |
Clueless "quoter system" General |
TheNewsDigest:We already have a Biafran day, It is well observed every 30th of May |
Igbos are generally regarded as business savvy. However, some Igbos have set the bar high in the business world. Here are my 5 top Igbo businessmen of all time Sir Louis Philip Odumegwu Ojukwu A native of Nnewi, he came to Lagos in 1929 aged 20 to work as a clerk. By the time he was 30, he was running a chain of businesses that included Ojukwu transport company, Ojukwu stores and Ojukwu textiles. By the time he died in 1966, he had become one of the richest men in West Africa. Chief Sunday 'Sunny' Iwedike Odogwu The Ide of Asaba, Sunny Odogwu is the President of SIO group which is comprised of SIO Industries, SIO properties and African Prudential Insurance. SIO stands for his initials. A reclusive Billionaire, for much of the 70's, 80's and 90's, he was regarded as one of the richest men in Nigeria. He raised eyebrows when he built one of the best Hotels in Nigeria in his home town, Grand Hotel Asaba. Orji Uzo Kalu In 1986, a popular magazine of the time called prime people published an article where they named the "richest Igbo,Yoruba, Hausa men aged under 30". They chose the young business wizard called Mike Adenuga to be the richest young Yoruba man under 30. Alhaji Aliko Dangote was chosen as the richest young Hausa man while the then 26 year old Orji Uzo Kalu was chosen as the richest young Igbo man. Today, Orji Uzo Kalu is the multi-billionaire chairman of Slok Group which includes Slok Oil and Slok Air. His business tentacles spread into Banking, Insurance, Oil and farming. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah Ubah means "wealth" in the Igbo language. From humble beginnings, this Nnewi born billionaire rose to become CEO of Capital Oil and Gas, the largest Oil distribution company in Nigeria. At one time, he was thought to own not only the largest Tank Farm in Nigeria, but also controlled as much as 35% of the Oil distribution in Nigeria. He is the owner of Ifeanyi Ubah FC. Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu With a personal fortune of over 1 Billion Dollars, Tony Elumelu is one of the most successful Igbo business men out there. The Onicha-Ukwu, Delta state born billionaire and Chairman of Heirs Holdings as well as former MD, United Bank For Africa, UBA.

diadem10:Yourubas don't go into war because Yorubas don't have the backbone or courage to fight. Even if you gave Yorubas all the arms and ammunition in the world, they still have no fighting spirit. All they are good at is talking and rioting. That's why the Caliphate slaughtered Lt Colonel Fajuyi in Ibadan, chased away Brigadier Ogundipe who should have been head of state and murdered MKO. The Caliphate knew that Yorubas were a pushover. Two times the Caliphate removed a Yoruba man who should have been head of state and nothing happend. What could Awolowo do, as the coward he was, he went to serve Gowon who was his son's age mate to show everyone the subservience of Yorubas to the caliphate. While Ojukwu was fighting to liberate his people, wether with Cassava sticks or not, Awolowo reduced himself to an errand boy to his own son's age mate. I would rather fight for my freedom with Cassava sticks and lose than to willingly become a caliphate slave like Awolowo. That's what Yorubas can learn from Igbos |
anonymuz:Actually, it was the other way round. A lot of Nigerians don't know Nigerian history. Flora Shaw actually came up with the word "Nigeria" in 1897, 15 years before the creation of Nigeria in 1914. Little did she know that the word she was creating would be a by-word for disaster. |
diadem10:You guys keep saying that Ojukwu sacrificed millions of lives to cover up the fact that you don't have the spne to fight like Ojukwu did. We Igbos would rather fight and sacrifice millions of lives under Ojukwu than to readily surrender to the caliphate like you slaves did under Awolowo. That's the difference between men and boys. Men fight no matter the consequence, boys surrender out of cowardice because they can't do what the men do |
fero007:There is a difference between America and Nigeria. America is a country of immigrants. Different people from all over the world came and settled in America Nigeria is a country of indigenous people. Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa were all living in their respective areas before the British brought all of them together in 1914. So who is this Nigerian you are talking about? The people the British brought together? If all we have in common is that the white man brought us together then we don't have anything in common. The best th8ng would for all of us to return to the way we were before the white man came having seen that Nigeria is a tried and failed colonial experiment |
gurnam:Well, he was deputy to Gowon for 5 years wasn't he? |
kuuljay:So all those months IPOB were protesting in various places, even near the court premises in Abuja, they were coming out for free sunshine? I give It to the Shiatte Muslims, they have tenacity. |
Trexnemesis:Nigeria has become a country where people are charged for terrorism just for praying to their God |
diadem10:Fajuyi was murdered by your caliphate masters, what could you people do? Your own Regional Governor was murdered in Ibadan, what did you people do? You people quickly surrendered as slaves of the caliphate because you don't have the backbone to rise up to the caliphate like Ojukwu did. |
It was a cursed day in 1914 when the slowpoke called Lugard joined my fellow Igbos with Yorubas and Hausa to create this mega-disaster called Nigeria |
diadem10:At least you know there was a Biafran Army under Ojukwu that rose up to fight for Biafran independence Unlike you guys that the Caliphate went to Ibadan and murdered your own Regional Governor, Lt Col Fajuyi. But the fear of the Caliphate gripped you people that you could not do anything in your own land. |
fero007:IF it hasn't started since 1960, it is not now it will start |
oooduancalmdown:They did. They went their way and declared their own separate country in 1967. The same Yorubas and their caliphate masters came to the East to fight for 3 years to bring Igbos back into the fold. |
Terminator1234g:Nigerians like you dont even know know that it is not illegal to import pump action guns. Any Nigerian can apply to the police to own and keep pump action gun |
Nigeria has long gone to the Dogs! Arrest and charge Jewish worshippers with terrorism just because they went to worship at Nnamdi Kanu's house? Yet this same government is releasing and rehabilitating Boko Haram suspects daily Ok, no worries. In Igbo we say "Agbacha oso aguo mile" |
willibounce1:You guys have problem, that is why people like Ojukwu and Kanu rose up so that we won't be in the same country with you people. We have nothing in common. But when an Igbo man wants to go his way, you "sophisticated slowpokes" will team with your caliphate masters stop our exit. |
diadem10:What you call stupidity is for Igbos an attempt at freedom. A Yoruba man cannot fight a war of liberation like Ojukwu did, to even talk about getting to stage of running away. Fela And Abiola never fought any war, they only agitated. It is Ojukwu who has fought a war. |
Ogonimilitant:The man just reduced himself to an embarassment to the Igbo nation. Nobody respects him in Igbo land any more |
I have a feeling he has been extra-judicially executed |
willibounce1:No doubt Fela is respected man. Do Igbos respect Fela more than they respect Ojukwu? Not a chance. Fela fought human rights abuse, Ojukwu fought for something far more important, the liberation of his people. Fela fought with his music and mouth, Ojukwu fought with live bullets. Naturally, the Yoruba narrative is that Ojukwu started a war but it was you Nigerians that came to the East were Ojukwu and his people were enjoying their new country to come and fight them. Ojukwu led millions of his people to their deaths, it is not painting Ojukwus people. It is you Yorubas it is paining. Crying more than the bereaved. Ojukwu fought the might of the Nigerian Army for 3 years. No Yoruba man will ever have the backbone or guts to fight for the liberation of the Yoruba people in my life time, let alone get to the stage of running away. Yorubas are not made of that sort of stuff in this 21st century. As I said before, Yorubas and Igbos dont have anything in common. All we have is that Lugard forced all of us together in 1914. But if someone like Nnamdi Kanu comes out and says he wants his people to go their way, Yoruba unity beggars will start foaming at the mouth. |
omooba969:That is why Igbos and Yorubas are not the same people. Yorubas are looking at it that Ojukwu attemped and failed. Igbos look at the attempt more than they look at the failure. For the Igbos, it is far better to attempt and fail than to be a coward and not have the spine to attempt at all. |
jaymejate:You guys make me laugh. You compare a human rights activist like Fela with a freedom fighter like Ojukwu who fought the military might of Nigeria for 3 years? Fela who probably never held a gun in his life or heard the sound of mortar and bombs falling? I think that the Yoruba idea of a brave man is rather low |
divinecode102:The others that went to war like Boko Haram and Herdsmen, what did bubu do? Or is it because Kanu chose not to take up arms? Buhari can only successful fight unarmed people |
honourhim:Then show me where in the constitution it says that Insult is a crime. |
