BiafraMyAss:Our motherland? You mean the colonial fraud Lugard created in 1914 called Nigeria? This is what you are calling your motherland? A mere business venture the British created in West Africa and named after a common River? I laugh in Chinese How did you Nigerians expect the Biafrans to answer the name of a River? Nigeria is just the fraudulent creation of the white man. |
fhranchez:You should go and learn the methods the British used in achieving Nigeria. They used shootings, killings, burning, torture, imprisonment and terrorism. Comparing the methods used in creating Nigeria and the methods being used to create Biafra, the Biafrans deserve an award. At least the Biafrans did not touch anybody. |
Pigsandidiots:What states did you think Delta and Rivers states were? Hausa states? |
muykem:Abiola was never popular with Igbos |
Almaiga:You confirming what I said, your Nigerian Army is only good at fighting unarmed civilians. That means they are useless. That's Why they have been fighting Boko Haram for years. That's why they can't do anything against Herdsmen. What a disgrace for them |
Almaiga:For the benefit of your Nigerian Army that is only good at attacking unarmed people but will run away when they see armed Herdsmen |
gssdobi:Nigerians are not supposed to care about Biafra. It is because Nigeria cares too much about Biafra that they are fighting civil wars and sending Python dance. Most non Yorubas don't care about June 12. On June 12, people will have their holiday not caring about the essence of June 12 |
The average Nigerian thinks the civil war about Nigeria one. Few of them realise that it was a war to enslave everyone to the caliphate |
buhariguy:So when Buhari overthrew the democratically elected regime of Shehu Shagari on December 31 1983, he was contributing to democracy? |
classicabdul21:Stop talking nonsense. A Yoruba holiday was upgraded to a national holiday by Buhari in a desperate bid to curry vote a from Yoruba's. |
Abdulnur:They are celebrating Biafra, not declaring it. Only an armed group can deckare a separate within a country |
Throwback:Why would I be shedding tears that a Yoruba man like MKO lost his mandate to the Military? You think any Yoruba would have shed a tear if it had been an Igbo man? That June 12 caused the Military to scrap democracy all over Nigeria is no argument, the Military did not need the excuse of June 12 to take over from civilians in 1966 and 1983. The truth is that Buhari knows he is not getting any vote from the SE/SS in 2019 and upgraded a "Yoruba Holiday" called June 12 to a national holiday in a desperate bid to get votes from the SW. |
Guestlander:Don't use the United States as an example, it is a country of immigrants and not indigenous people. Nigeria is a country of indigenous people such as Igbo, Ijaw, Bini and so on. June 12th is a Yoruba ethnic event that has been moved to a national event by Buhari in a desperate bid to get Yoruba votes |
Throwback:Don't make me laugh. June 12 is a Yoruba ethnic thing. You actually think there is any Igbo man out there who gives a hoot if MKO was unjustly denied his mandate? MKO was always a nobody in Igbo land. June 12th being designated Democracy day is not because of the Military coup that followed it. June 12th is all about MKO's robbed mandate. Outside Yoruba land, nobody today cares that MKO's mandate was robbed |
Guestlander:A presidential election conducted 25 years ago may have been a national event at the time, but not today Your only problem is tribalism as people like you tend to view everything through the prism of ethnicity. I bet it would be a national event for you if the people involved were igbo.So you don't know that everyone in Nigeria sees things from the prism of ethnicity? That's why June 12th is a "Yoruba event" and not a national event . |
Nice one. They are in a country that allows freedom of expression. Not like Nigeria that only abuses human rights. |
Welcome to the club, Nnamdi Kanu, Dasuki, Agbolokemi, Elzakzaky to mention a few are all members of the "Buhari hit list" |
I want to make bold the argument that the political saga known as "June 12th" only resonates with Yorubas. No other ethnic group really cares about it. I know for a fact that we Igbos don't hold June 12th with any regard. I have no problem with the FG designating June 12th as a historical event, however, it is not a national event since it only resonates with only one ethnic group |
Deputy1111:Well it can't be celebrated by everybody because June 12 does not carry any weight in Igbo land |
The reason why Sowore will be a disasterous President just like Buhari is that he is hoping to give what cannot be given. Sowore thinks that the problem with Nigeria is bad leadership. What he is yet to understand and probably never accept is that Nigeria is a bad union. The unity of Nigeria is so bad that even if you resurrected Sister Theresa from the dead and asked her to rule Nigeria justly, equitably and fairly, she would fail badly, and this is a Saint. What Durotoye thinks is fairness might be seen as nepotism in the East, what Sowore thinks is equity might be seen as Impunity in the North. What Moghalu thinks is "vision" might be seen as "nightmare" in the West. What Sowore thinks is good governance might seen as bad governance in the south. Sowore, Moghalu, Durotoye and all these 'new kids on the block' had better understand that although Buhari is a terrible leader, there is no point coming to be worse than him. The unity of Nigeria is a disasterous one that allows nothing to be good. So unless they have a plan on how to rectify the non existent unity of Nigeria, they will all end up as every other Nigerian head of state, a failure |
OkutaNla:What concerns IPOB with June 12 or democracy day? If Buhari likes, let him declare Ojukwus birthday as democracy day, nobody cares. |
Nwadiuto247:That does not make any sense. That's like saying saying that you accept the Nsukka man as Igbo but you don't accept him as Nsukka. |
Nwadiuto247:What do you then say to- Chibike Rotimi Amaechi, former Governor of Rivers Uche Okwukwu- Secretary-General of Ohaneze Frank Amadi- Former deputy leader of Ogbakor Ikwerre All three men are prominent Ikwerre men and all three have publicly proclaimed to be Igbo. So which Ikwerre is Igbo and which isn't? |
He also reminded them of the age long affinity between Enugu and Anambra states, stressing: “Enugu and Anambra are brothers and sisters"This is why I say that if Igbo land becomes a separate independent state of Biafra, one of the first things we should do is abolish these agents of division called "states". What is Enugu and Anambra state? These are just names that military regimes gave parts of Igbo land. Enugu and Anambra are just zones of administration, they are not people. Igbos are a people and we are Igbos! |
Paperwhite:It was shocking that even Dele Momodu who once called Buhari a coupist who truncated the democratically elected government of Shehu Shagari, suddenly became full of praises for Buhari. All these people cared about was removing GEJ without caring what they were replacing him with. They even insulted Igbos for not voting for their "change". Now that the change is here, they have found out why It is refused to vote a man like Buhari who had no achievement worth writting home about. |
There are several Biafran activists in Russia |
front4line:Really? Is is it the same Nigerian Army that cannot defeat Boko Haram in almost 10 years or the one that was fighting the Niger Delta militants But achieved nothing? If Igbos took up arms, it would be the end of Nigeria. No country stays together after a second civil war. |
madridguy:Victims of Herdsmen killings, they caused it on themselves as well? |
The unity of Nigeria has always been about Oil. Only a fool doesn't know this. All these people who attack Biafran separatists like Uwzuruike and Nnamdi Kanu don't seem to understand that had the Oil of Nigeria been anywhere in Benue or Kogi Northward, there would be no Nigeria today. The North would have left Nigeria long time ago. "One Nigeria" is all about Oil and Gas money. Unfortunately, Oil and Gas is not a good enough reason for us to be together |
I thought that IPOB who didn't kill anyone are the terrorists we should be concerned about? Fulani Herdsmen are just a criminal gang |
