The core North will allow restructuring which will leave them economically and politically irelevant? Not in a million years |

Time would fail me to touch on other aspects that if these threat is eventually carried out, it would lead to nothing but tribal hate and chaos. I would implore of party to sheath their swords and let us look for a way to move the country forward. Nigeria cannot afford another Civil War. What happened in 1966 must not happen again.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! People like you have been looking for ways to move the country foward since 1960, it has not moved an inch. 57 years down the road, other countries you started off with no longer pray for to God to protect their country, their country is ptotected already. If for 57 years, we are still talking about moving foward then it means that the Nigerian union is not working. It is time to admit that Nigeria has failed and we should explore other alternatives such as disintegration |

Politics › Re: OPINION: Formation Of A Political Party Will Help In Actualization Of Biafra by kingzizzy: 11:04pm On Jun 08, 2017 |
MrDojo: I read an article which made Front page this evening on* IPOB and MASSOB forming a political party to push forward their goal of Biafra*, ordinary this sounds like a bad idea for a secessionist group, but when you look at it logically is this really a bad idea?
This can be a potential strategy our brothers from the east can utilise for the actualization of Biafra, how can they do this you ask?let me explain.
Its no longer news that the Biafra agitation is one of the major cries of the igbo nation & allies, which has gained a lot of momentum in the Easter & Southern part of the country, owing a lot to the prolonged dention of Mazi Kanu, this has made the Biafra agitation a global event, with support from indigenous igbos and igbos in diaspora showing massive support for the the Biafra movement, this show that the Biafra agitation cannot be ignored as a trival issue anymore.
Only someone that is extremely biased will deny the emense popularity and support the Biafra agitation garners in the Eastern part of the country. With this massive support the creation of a political party should not ne considered a taboo by the different Biafra groups, as long as they are ready to play the long game in getting their dream state.
Forming a political party in the Nigerian state does not mean they are betraying the Biafra dream, but it will only serve as a means to an end, how? Most politicians worldwide would kill to have the kind of support Mazi kanu enjoys, so it will be extremely foolish for IPOB &MASSOB not to make ise of this popularity and support to form a political base across all the Eastern state and allied states that support the Biafra agitation.
With the massive support, I believe its not far fetched to believe their political party will win in most of the eastern states across multiple platforms I.e. governorship, senate, House of reps e.t.c (as long as a credible individual is giben the mandate), victory in multiple platforms is imperative, because it will serve as a catalyst for the actualization of Biafra. How? Hypothetically, IPOB is a political party and as just won the imo, enugu, anambra, abia state elections (for the position of governor, senators, reps, LG chairman etc ), with this kind of victory, the Biafra state dream will only become a reality, not only will this elected individuals develop their respective states they will also simultaneously be clamouring for the freedom of thier people, they would also be in a better position to fight for the actualization of Biafra, imagine 4-6 governors of the eastern extract and various senators and rep memebers clamouring for a referendum, just think about that for a minute, its also important not to forget the people who are the pride of a state also clamouring for a referendum.
Although this is all an hypothetical analogy, but it is also something that can be done. I earnestly believe it can be a way with very good potentials for the actualization of Biafra.
Disclaimer: this write up does not intend to promote any form of group or movement, it is purely for the purpose of intellectual discuss. It is a very bad idea for IPOB/MASSOB to form a political party in Nigeria, especially the way Nigeria is currently structured. If Nigeria had been structured into 6 Regions, each Region having its own House of Assembly and the right to move a motion in its own house of assembly on referendum, then it might have been a good idea. IPOB can then try to win the majority in the SE/SS houses of assembly and move a joint motion on referendum. However, the way Nigeria is, even if IPOB won all the political positions in the SE/SS area, they still would not have 67% votres to needed to pass a motion of referendum at the National Assembly. They wont even get 30%. And who is kidding themselves that Northerners and Yorubas will vote to help IPOB break up Nigeria? It is a complete waste of time for IPOB/MASSOB to form a political party |

Is the Nigerian Government entitled to sieze Dangotes houses and businesses because he did this? |

Dumaknesset: With due respect you have not been paying attention, even Nigerians do not own lands in Nigeria, every body holds it in trust for the government. Once Biafra pull a skedaddle the landlord take over it's properties. No one is seizing ish. It is the law and it upon the basis that all land purchasers in Nigeria purchase land, that is why the deed of assignment always refer to the Land use Act as binding on the transaction. Hope you get it now. It is you that is not paying attention. Is what you are saying that when a person is not a citizen of , or renounces their citizenship of Nigeria, they are liable to loose their pproperties in Nigeria for this? If Dangote renounces his Nigeria citizenship and adopts Cameroonian citizenship, the Nigerian Government is entitled to sieze his houses and businesses for this? |

That is the history of how Nigeria was created. Lugard has gone back home, now it is time for us all to return to the way we were before he came to force us all together |

Dumaknesset: When I say Igbos don't think things through, you would not believe me, so you have not thought about it, yet you want secession.
I am a lawyer and here is a legal dimension.
First note that all lands in Nigeria by virtue of the Land Use Act, 1978 is owned by the state, federal government and local government accordingly. Developed parts are owned by the state through the state governor, the undeveloped parts are owned by the local government, while those areas acquired by federal government are owned by the Federal government.
Individuals and even corporate organizations are mere tenants to the the real owners, the governments! hence, the issuance of cofo, consent, excision, ratifications et al.
Once a property is abandoned as it will be, when the biafrans bolt, the properties will revert to the real owners that is the state government, local government or federal government vide a legal principle called bona vacantia.
Note the legal principle of quic quid plantatur solo solo cedit, he who owes the land owes what is on it, all the developments on the lands become that of the real owner.
All the biafrans properties will become that of Lagos state government, it will be the largest real estate deal in the world since igbos own 90 percent of real estate in Lagos state and Afonjas only own 0.2 percent of real estate in the east. Im not a lawyer, but it is still within the rights of an independent Biafran nation to take Nigeria to for 'ownership rights' of its citizens. As most will recall, Cameroon took Nigeria to court over ownership of the Oil rich Bakassi peninsular and won. Lets look at a worst case scenario. Lets just assume that Biafra gets independence and Nigeria decided to have no diplomatic relation with Biafra and moves to expel all Biafrans and sieze their assets and properties. The Biafran Government is most likely to take the Nigerian Government to court over illegal aquisition of assets. It will be quite interesting to know what reasons Nigeria will have for siezing lawfully aqcuired assets of other people. However, the implications for Nigeria and the Nigerian Government is most likely to be disasterous. 1) No international investor will ever step foot in Nigeria ever again because it will be noteworthy international news that the Nigerian Government can sieze the assets of foreigners, without compensation, just for being foreigners 2)The existing international investors are most likely to liquidate their investments and leave. Investors dont like uncertainty. When the current investors realise that they are in a country where their investments can be siezed based on citizenship, none of them will feel safe about their investments 3) The siezing of people assets and their expulsion is most likely to erode the image of Nigeria in the international community while attracting a lot of sympathy for Biafra. 4) It is quite possible that the UN might impose sanctions on Nigeria, especially if the international court rules against Nigeria |

follow the step of the Scottish, who created the Scottish independent party (SP)
and try your luck at the national assembly.
but brainwashed daft youths can't reason normally. And it is not right to be a beneficiary of fraud and expect to advice people on how to go about the right way doing things. The Scotland hou are talking about agreed in 1707 to be part of the UK. So when they agitated for independence, they had to seek a political solution to it. Nobody agreed to be part of Nigeria, we were all forced into an illegal colonial contraption against our will. Since Lugard did not go to a national assembly when he was creating Nigeria, what moral right has anyone to ask the Biafrans to do the same? We are being held against our will in a colonial fraud created by the British and we make no apologies for seeking our independence. |

Now I know this because I have them as friends and colleagues. Especially the ones I listed out.And especially etche.
So the idea of sharing a new country with them is Sooo not nice. I have been to Ibusa, Isele Uku and Ogwshi Uku, they are all proud Igbos. Ibusa or 'Igbo bi na Uzo' is a community founded by Nteje people in present day Ansmbra same as Asaba. The king of Ogwashi Uku , Igwe Okonjo, is a proud Igbo man. Let me put it in a simple way so that you will understand. If 50 cents raps that he is going to rape women, can he be charged for rape? If Tupac raps that he is going to shoot someone, should he be arrested and charged for attempted murder? If Kanye West Raps that he is going to beat someone up, should he be arrested for assault? As you already know, these people cannot be arrested for things they said they want to do but never did. Same way, if Kanu is asking for weapons to to fight Nigeria, if he never recieved weapons and never fought Nigeria, he has done nothing wrong. As I said before, a person cannot be charged for a crime that they are yet to commit. |
