That is why Yoruba will always have more stake than you guys in Nigeria. They have fought and bled for this country. They have ruled the country more than you guys at least. Under military rule deputised by a Yoruba man? You mean after the Brigadier Ogundipe, a Yoruba officer next in line after Ironsi and rightful head of state was chased out of Lagos, Yoruba land, like common thief by the Northerners who then brought a much junior Gowon? Yorubas then 'meekly' accepted no 2 position from Gambari Lords. Yorubas were completely disgraced and rendered useless in their own land and relegated to second place. Cowardice is horrible |

Sanchez01: Here we go again. I'm sure you meant to state the Nigerian history from IPOB perspective. Instead of making stupid comments like that, google the Eastern Nigerian consultative Assembly if you dont who they were. I never said they were part of the old Eastern Region. All I stated was that they were targeted in the then Eastern Region as being Hausas, and frankly, the mob didn't care where they were from.
Maybe IPOB deliberately ignored this part or haven't figured the epistle to cook here. Below is an excerpt from Wikipedia.
Northern Nigerians were however also targeted in the Igbo dominated Eastern Nigeria.[10] Thousands of Hausas, Tiv and other Northern Tribes were massacred by Igbo mobs, forcing a mass exodus of Northerners from the Eastern Region.[11] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1966_anti-Igbo_pogrom
To back this up, there are videos on YouTube. I wonder why many of you are not fully equipped with information on issues pertaining to your past. Wikipedia is not always reliable because anybody can edit and insert anything they like there . But even as at that, the same wikipedia link you posted does not mention anything about Igbos killing anyone in a pogrom. If you have a youtube link, post it so we can see otherwise, shut if you have proof that Igbos killed anyone in a pogrom. You should read up on the Nords and Anglo-Saxons to fully grasp the difference between war and stupidity. I guess it is not surprising as to why the Igbos lost hands down. Im an Igbo man not an Anglo-Saxon. I fight for my freedom no matter what. Thats what makes me Igbo. If you dont understand that then we have no business doing 'one Nigeria' together Of course not! There is no shame in fighting for one's freedom particularly when such is a slave. However, the greater sin is starting the fight and running with your tail behind your hind legs. It is nothing to be proud of particularly when millions of your people are confronted with death. Well if you feel that way about Ojukwu that fought for 3 years before running away, then you can imargine what we Igbos think about you people who ran to surrender to the Gambari masters because you had no fight in you. I would rather be Ojukwu who fought and ran away than surrender like without a fight like a true coward. If Ojukwu was to be a Japanese, he would have performed the Seppuku, but no, he ran like a spineless coward would after psyching the kinds of farmers and innocent people to their deaths. Read about Seppuku below. You are as laughable. By Ojukwu escaping and not allowing you Nigerians to capture him, Ojukwu denied you Nigerians sweet victory. By now? You Nigerisns would have been boasting about how you killed Ojukwu and even posted pictures of his body here. But Ojukwu was wise, he was not about to give you Nigeria the perfect victory or propaganda tool. He escaped, returned to a heros welcome, lived to a ripe old age and when he died, recieved the greatest funeral ever seen in Africa. You Nigerians are still waiting for Ojukwu to stay back and die in the civil war? Keep waiting. |

Dumaknesset: You made it sound as if Yoruba did not fight this war. It was the Yorubas who thrash you guys silly. Still remember Oko Igbo, Adekunle the very black scorpion himself, obj, Alani Akinrinde the list is endless. Your general actually surrendered to a Yoruba man.
Yet you refer to your superior as coward. your assertion are at best laughable permit me to laugh in Ibo as the joke is on you. Of course Yorubas such Obasunjo, Adekunle, Akinrinade, Ishola Williams and even Oladipo Diya fought in the war. Unfortunately for these men, they were fighting for Hausa/Fulani emirate of Sokoto to dominate Nigeria. These are men who should have been fighting for Yoruba sovereignty or maybe even Republic of Oodua. But as the Yorubas they were, they all submitted themselves to be slaves of the Gambari Northern Lords. So they fought for the North to enslave the south. Can you imargine a situation where someone actually fights to make himself and his people slaves of the North? All of them were a disgrace to the uniforms they wore, to the Yoruba nation and to themselves. |

Dumaknesset: Now you want to pit Yoruba against Hausa. Miserable ploy. Fighting a senseless war for three years shows you guys are all brawn and no brain. A war that the Hausa call a civilian to end. It is no bravery to fight a war you can't win it is been foolhardy and only fools indulge in such ventures. it is mother of all cowardice to lure hapless people to war including children only to abandon them when the table turns.
Igbos are the greatest cowards that are on planet earth but you guys always mistake arrogance for bravery. An average igbo man is arrogant, haughty and damn stupid and he thinks it is bravery.
War are not led by hot heads but with a Yoruba dispositions, knowing when to lay low and when to strike. You guys while drowning in Pacific Ocean will continue to strike and also beat air. Pit Yorubas and Hausas? This are all historical facts that happened Let me tell you Yorubas something which is beyond your scope of understanding. This is not about fighting a war which we could not win. There are few things in life as honourable as one fighting for his sovereignty and freedom. Even if you will lose, you still fight for your dignity because you will not go down without a fight. We Igbos went down with a fight You Yorubas went down without even a protest to even talk about a fight. Yoy people willingly submitted your selves to be slaves of the North because you had no fight in you. It is only in the mind of Yorubas that people like Ojukwu and Igbos who fought for their freedom are cowards, while the Yoruba man who has never fought for anything in Niger is a brave man. Lol I laugh in Igbo |

Sanchez01: What is the name of your phantom history book that prepared the unfortunate unleavened bread that you have chosen to dish out to supposed IPOB members on here?
If Ojukwu didn't singularly declare Biafra, could you please mention a couple of names that pressured him into declaring Biafra? I understand how well you guys play the blame game. The other day, someone claimed Ojukwu was threatened, hence the reason he 'abandoned' the war. Funny bunch.
Again, I'll educate you for free. The pogrom in the North was returned by angry Igbo mobs and TIVs, Igalas alongside a host of other ethnic groups living among the Igbos in the Eastern region were killed in a reprisal attack just so the North could feel the heat as well.
Perhaps, you also didn't know that the pogrom was triggered after the coup plotters went about posting posters with graphic details of how they killed Northern military echelons.
Maybe you would tell me Effiong was the one who convinced Ojukwu that he could win by giving farmers-turned-soldiers five bullets each to go war.
You could twist and turn history like analogue National television, but it won't blemish the truth in any way.
Just so you know, NO MUTILATED BODIES WERE RETURNED ON BOTH SIDES. Who returned them and with which method of transportation were bodies in their huge numbers returned?
If indeed Ojukwu was all about he that is down need fear no fall, perhaps you could also explain why he fled, leaving Effiong in charge to surrender AFTER LEADING OVER THREE MILLION IGBOS TO STARVATION.
Being unlearned is one thing, being an agitator that is unlearned and uninformed is another and the latter is a whole lot difficult to handle. Your problem is that you dont know Nigerian history. Ojukwu did not unilaterally declare Biafra. Ojukwu recieved the mandate to declare the Eastern Region a separate country from the Eastern Nigeria consultative assembly. Tivs and Igalas were not in.the old Eastern Region, they were in the Northern Region. The pogroms that happend in the North was not returned in the East. While thousands of Igbos were killed in Northern Nigeria, there is hardley any report of a single Northerner being killed in the East. It is true that Ojukwu was not as equiped as Gowon for war but for us Igbos, it is far better to go to fight for our freedom with 5 bullets than to submit our selves to Nothern slavery without a fight. At the end of the day, Ojukwu may not have won, but he gave it his all. Win or lose, there is no shame in.one fighting for their freedom. In the end when the was almost over, Ojukwu handed over to Effiong and flew into exile. Ojukwu was our greatest hero |

Politics › Re: Yorubas Are Coward? by kingzizzy: 6:19am On Jun 13, 2017 |
My opinion, same as most of my fellow Igbos, is that Yorubas are indeed cowards.
It is only the Yoruba man that will call Ojukwu, who fought for 3 years for the liberation of his people, a coward. Yet, the Yoruba man who has never fought for his own liberation and can never do so, regard themselves as brave. I laugh in Igbo.
The Yoruba man has no sense of self determination. It takes a brave person/people to seek independence. Igbos have never been shy of this.
But a natural coward who is afraid to stand on their own will go and hide in the comfort zone of 'one Nigeria' so as not to expose the fact that they are afraid of independence and what it entails, like Yorubas have done.
Yorubas lack the strenght to challenge the North and this is sheer cowardice. In 1966, Northern elements went to Ibadan and slaughtered Lt Col Fajuyi who was Military Governor of the Western Region. Yorubas did nothing
20 years later, again the Northerners abduct and slaughter the Yoruba nations brightest political star, Chief MKO Abiola. Again, the Yoruba nation could do nothing.
Three different times, the North has chased out a Yoruba man from his rightful place as head of state, Brigadier Ogundipe, MKO Abiola and Shonekan. Yorubas could do nothing.
A few thousand Northern Soldiers held the entire Yoruba land and the western Region hostage when they killed Lt Col Fajuyi and chased Brigadier Ogundipe and brought a much junior Lt Col Gowon to take over. Yoruba reaction to this desecration of their land was to meekly accept the North as their lord and master.
The North has poked the eye of the Yoruba nation many times, Yorubas have never done anything.
Of the three main ethnic groups, only Yorubas have never taken their destiny in their hands an attempted secession. Yorubas are also the only zone in southern Nigeria who have never taken up arms against Nigeria.
All these historical events leads me to the conclusion that Yorubas are cowards. |

laudate: The reps from the North cannot ask for a referendum on your behalf. They are not the ones that want to form a new republic. So stop asking others to do your dirty work for you.
When Scotland sought a referendum, it was a Scottish MP Nicola Ferguson Sturgeon who is the current First Minister of Scotland and the leader of the Scottish National Party, in office since 2014, that pushed the request for a referendum through the Parliament. It was not a British or a Welsh politician.
You chaps have over 15 senators from the SE. Ask them to move a motion requesting for a referendum on Biafra, in the red chamber. But then again, Scotland agreed to be part of the UK when they signed the 1707 "Act Of Union" which formally made them part of the UK. Can you show me any documentation where Igbos, there leaders or representatives signed to be part of Nigeria? In which parliament did Lugard move a motion for the creation of Nogeria? If you cant answer tbese questions then you will have to admit that Nigeria is an enforced colonial creation and that any of the indigenous ethnic group(s) has the right to demand and be given a referendum that allows them to stay or exit the illegal Nigerian union which they never agreed to be part of. |

On 28, April 2017, Nnamdi kanu was granted bail and released from kuje prison to unite with his family leaving behind two Biafra agitators still in detention at kuje prison, Abuja.

It is after this that custody for kids and properties are determined.
Reminisce on that for a second.
You people should be actually ashamed of yourselves... You said in a 'typical marriage'. Unfortunately, there was never a marriage. Marriage is a situation whereby the parties involved actually agreed to be together. Nigeria is the enforced colonial creation of the British. Igbo/Hausa/Yoruba never agreed to be together as one. Nigeria has no legality and is still kept together the way it was created, by barrel of the gun. Reminisce on that for a second You should be ashamed |

So expectedly Igbos should have left the North by now and move back to that gully eroded enclave. But alas the music has changed to " we cant leave our hard earned assets behind". Werent you aware of this before you allowed a London okrika selling albino to lead you astray?
Yeah the flat nosed girl with a pushed up bra emotionally narrated how she and her family got it bad in the North. But worse scenario happens to the mainly menial Northerners in the East as enlightened Northerners avoid staying in the East like the plague because they know how inhospitable and wicked the igbos are to themselves not to talk of outsiders. Such incidence dont get reported because those mostly affected are always the unlearned but surely no igbo can deny such barbaric acts happening.
Despite the threat and declaration the igbos are not willing to leave the North for the East. That should tell the Biafrauds that other igbos would rather stay in the North rather than go back to the East as that will be worse than anything that could ever happen to them where they are. How will the Igbos leaving the North to go back to the East get them Biafra? What important for Igbos like me is getting Biafra, not doing what the North wants. |
