Yo must have had a good time in Onitsha, all peaceful. I cant say the same for 100,000 Igbos that have been slaughtered in the North since Nigeria was created. |
Sydney17:People like you should wake up from sleep. You have been looking for a great Nigeria since 1914 to date, you havent found it. Even a fool will get to a point where he will admit that something that has not worked in 103 years can never work. Who told you that Chukwudi, Rotimi or Musa cannot do without each other? They did without each other for hundreds of years before Lugard came to force them all together. It is now you think that they cannot survive without each other? Look, people you should stop these useless threads where you talk about Igbo and president of Nigeria. The presidency of Nigeria has not helped those who held it in the past, it will not help Igbos. What matters is how Igbos can get out of Nigeria, get their own country and start controlling their own destiny. |
Besides the last picture, Nnamdi Kanu is holding prayer sessions in the rest of the pictures |
Fremancipation:Ojukwu explained it that Nigeria is basically a tripod with three legs, Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo. Like all tripods, if any one those legs leaves the arrangement, the whole thing will come crashing down. Igbos literally hold the existence of Nigeria in their hands. Igbos go, Nigeria crashes. |
omofunaab:Can you show where Kanu instructed people to kill Kumuyi? |
nisai:They have everything but they cant do without 'one Nigeria'? Who is fooling who? Besides Lagos which was the collective input of all Nigerians, there isnt anything noteworthy about the SW |
Fremancipation:Because 'one Nigeria' is a fraud and every Nigerian knows it. There are several reasons why the different Ethnic nationalities want Nigeria to stay one or not. Hausa/Fulani: Scared of losing out on the proceeds of Oil and Gas and being landlocked. Yoruba: A people with a long history of fighting to be with every ethnic group around them to create empires, Yorubas have no history of being by themselves. It scares them to be alone and scares them even more for Igbos to leave them alone in Nigeria at the mercy of the North. Nigeria gives them the natural comfort zone they are used to of not having to worry about self determination. Igbo Igbos fought the Arochuwku war, the Ekumeku war and the Biafran war in other not to be part of Nigeria. They still agitate to this day to leave Nigeria by way of peaceful referendum. Ijaw: They like Igbos also fought imperialistic rule and triumphed briefly at the Akassa battle. An Ijaw son called Adaka Boro once declared Ijawland to be "Republic of Niger Delta". Ijaws also have a sense of self determination like Igbos but are divided how to go about it. While Ijaws such as Asari Dokubo wants his Ijaws to join Biafra, others like Ateke Tom want resource control/Restructuring. Efik/Ibibio : It is hard to guage what the Efik/Ibibio sense of self determination is. One thing is certain, it is nowhere near the level of that of Igbos and Ijaws. There are some who want to join Igbos in Biafra, there are others who want resource control. There are some that want something called 'Oyono Republic' although there isnt much steam about it. One thing is certain, in Nigeria, the center can no longer hold and the country is heading for dissolution. |
It is time to de-amalgamate and decolonise Nigeria. This disasterous union called Nigeria has never and will never work. REFERENDUM! |
Nigerians stole the country Lugard created and claimed it as their own! Nigerians stole the name Lugards wife created and claimed it as their own! We Biafrans are saying that Nigerians should stop this copyright theft of the work of the Lugard family and call an immidiate referendum to de-amalgamate Nigeria! After this, anyone still waiting for a name should not wait for Mrs Lugard! There are many Rivers in my state I can name you after. |
Ojukwu did not condemn Biafra. He said that another Biafra is no necessary if we have learnt the lesson of the first one It is obvious that Nigeria has not learnt the lesson of Biafra and that is why it must come again |
Loop1:Every state in the SS/SE had Oil in commercial quantity. The only problem is that some states have developed their own more than others |
There is something more important than if Biafra is justified. Is Biafra my right? |
Loop1:Really? So what do you think Orient petroleum Anambra, Agip Imo and Shell Abia are? |
If after 103 years as a country and 56 years of independence, we are still looking for reasons to be together, then we should not be together. |
0b100100111:You are talking about the 3 million Nigeria killed in the name of 'one Nigeria'? This is why Nigeria should not be. Anything that can kill 3 million people like 'one Nigeria' is something evil and should not be |
Uwazuruike is a devil incarnate. This was a man I used to have so much respect for when he began MASSOB. Today, he has reduced himself to an object of mockery and laughter. Uwazuruike is a complete and utter disgrace |
Nonaira1:Of course, yoy dont know those people? When someone or group from that calls foe Oduduwa Republic, they will all stylishly disappear because there is no way they can support Oduduwa Republic while fighting Biafra. As soon a Biafran thread comes up, they will descend on it to preach about the beauty of 'one Nigeria' |
laudate:We are not going to ask a country we never agreed to part of to give us a referendum. Instead, are are going to use civil disobedience, protest, non participation in elections and other peaceful and legal means to put pressure on this government to conduct a referendum in the lower Niger. You Nigerians must think we are stupid. You want us to move a motion in the National Assembly that is 100% guaranteed to fail as the rest of you will gangup to vote for 'one Nigeria'. Laughable |
laudate:You were the one who used Scotland as an example of how to go about getting a referendum and all I did was explain to you why the Scottish example does not apply to Biafrans. Scotland formally agreed to be part of Britain in 1707. They agreed to a marriage. That is why they had to seek a political way out when they sought a divorce. Igbos on the hand never agreed to be part of the union of Nigeria, they never agreed to a marriage. So how can Igbos be asked to go through a divorce process when there was never any marriage? Nigeria is the illegal creation of the white man and unless you can show that Lugard went to a national assembly to create Nigeria via a democratic process, dont ask Igbos Biafrans or Igbos to do the same to get out of a union of Nigeria which they were forced into against their will |
oluamid:Not true. The bight of Biafra got its name from the land of Biafra, an ancient Kingdom that covered much of the lower Niger and Southern Cameroon. I will attach an navigators map to show it
|
oladeebo:The only thing holding us is for you Nigerians to agree on the date of the declaration of Biafra so that we Biafrans can go home |
Who cares about the president of the zoological Republic? |
oladeebo:The Biafrans are saying the want to go, another major section of the country comes out and says that they support Biafra going. When Nigerians start helping the agitation by saying they support Biafran independence, the job is almost done. |
The 'Kaduna declaration' has helped IPOB so much. For the first time, the international community are not just hearing the Biafrans say the want their own country, theu are now hearing other people supporting that Biafrans should get their own country. It is now clear to all Nigerians and the international community that there nothing like 'one Nigeria' |
Somebody should tell Okorocha that what IPOB wants is referendum not war. Unless he is implying that Nigeria cannot be split without war. Which means that he should come out and tell everyone that Nigeria is a country kept together by the barrel of the Gun. |
Fremancipation:Many Nigerians think that Igbos started fighting for their freedom with Ojukwu. The truth is that Igbos were fighting not be part of Nigeria even before Nigeria was created. |
drnoel:So it is the job of the white people to be naming you? |
drnoel:Biafran misnomer? You are a Nigerian who stole the country Lugard created and claimed it as your own. You stole the name Lugards wife created and claimed it as your own. And you call Biafra a misnomer? How much in royalties do you think you owe the estate of Lugard and his wife for using their work without permission? |
Dumaknesset:What is Nwa? |
brownhawk:Look if you are tired of the name Lugards wife gave you, come to me, theres another River in my village I can name you after |
aycorporat:Biafra was named after an ancient kingdom that once covered what people now call SE/SS as well as the Southern Cameroon. This is where the name the bight of Biafra gets its name. Unlike Nigerians that got their name from a common River. |
drnoel:Sorry but Im not Nigerian. I cant answer the nane of a River and no European has the right to impose a colonial name or country on me. Im a Biafran |

But there is a stipulated process that you have to follow in order to get it. Let your SE senators, House of Reps elected members at federal and state level move the motion for a referendum in the legislature. Simple.
Was that the question you were asked?
