SuperS1Panther:
You were civil until you bought you started your name calling. Is Osu no longer an Igbo name too? cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

The Biafra war was avoidable if the 1st coup plotters have not staged the coupr or if they had killed all the leaders of all the regions and not being selective in their killings and if Orizu had not handed power to Ironsi at the expense of Dipcharima.

Eastern whatever can go to Timbuktu or Kandahar, nobody gives a hoot. Just follow the proper civil channel. Please be reminded that Eastern Nigeria does not comprise modern day Edo and Delta, with Asaba inclusive.

Gowon could not have allowed you to secede because you stated the bloodletting and their was a reprisal attack and you were not allowed to run away after the effect of your stup1d action. Abraham Lincoln also prevented secession of Southern America. So no be today!!!

The soldiers lost died for their fatherland but they ensured they killed over 3m of women and children (minus the men) before they died, which gave Nigeria the victory.
Let me start by what you wrote last. You said that Lincoln prevented the secession of Southern America, yes he did and he was entitled to do that because America was created by agreement. America is legal because the original 13 colonies came together in 1776 and agreed to be one nation when they signed the American declaration of independence.

I have never seen or heard of any document, meeting, agreement or situation where Igbo/Hausa/Yoruba came together and formally agreed to be one nation. While America is a legal union, Nigeria is still the fraudulent colonial entity created in 1914.

Because Nigeria is a fraud, all the ethnic nationalities that the British criminal called Lugard assembled in 1914 and frog-marched at gunpoint in the evil union of Nigeria reserve the right to opt out of Nigeria, either individually or collectively.

Blaming the first coup is myopic. Symptoms that Nigeria would not work started as far back as 1945 with the kano massacre and the 1953 Jos Massacres. Nigeria has proved to the entire world that it cannot be a nation by killing over 3 million of its brethren to stay one, yet, they are not one. The same the 'armed' methods employed by Lugard to create Nigeria is still what is used to to hold it together.

As an Igbo man who belongs to a tribe of over 40 million people, I feel quite embarrased that Gambia of less than 2 million, not even up to the population of Enugu, can be a country but I dont have my own country.

How is that possible? How can a foreign land called Abuja be my capital? What histocal ties do I have with Hausa and Yorubas?

It remains the sacred right of us Igbos and the minorities who are comfortable with us to exit the colonial contraption called Nigeria whenever we want.

Lord Lugard has gone back home, we should all do the same

I want to first address IPOB shootings. By that act by the Nigerian security forces, the Government of Muhammadu Buhari has been heavily damaged on international level by the killings. Many in the international community actually thought the man was a reformed democrat who would encourage the rule of law and improve the abysmal human rights record of Nigeria, he made it much worse. Buhari should have fired the COAS Burutai when he heard that hundreds of Shia Muslims had been massacred to send a strong message to the security forces of Nigeria that impunity and heavy handed methods were no longer acceptable. He didnt. He also exposed himself as a callous person when he refused to view the video recording of the Nigerian Army shooting unarmed IPOB in Aba. Amnesty internstional put the nail on the coffin of Buharis administeration with the report on 150 IPOB gunned down by his administerstion for exercising their constitutional right to protest. The damage done to Buhari is that nobody takes him too serious in the internstional community any more because the measure of a progressing country is its human rights record.

So the killings of Biafrans has won support for Biafra, converted many 'fence sitters' to the cause of Biafra. Even many Igbo Governors are now calling for Kanus release. The IPOB that were killed did not die for nothing, their deaths exposed Nigeria to the world as a country in bondage. We shall honour their memory when we are free.

When it comes to IPOB forming a political party, we should remember that IPOB is organisation that is about leaving Nigeria, not joining it. The way Nigeria is currently structured, it would be a waste of time for anyone to try to form a political party to secede from Nigeria. That political party, even if they win all the political positions in the area they want to secede, will still go to the Nigerian National Assembly where Hausas and Yorubas will be wating to deal with them.

It takes 67% of the votes to get a constitutional change at the National Assembly, so how will any IPOB party get this vote with just the North controling over 60% the votes? Not possible same way restructuring is not possible in Nigeria.

Do we eat the same food? Do we have the sane value system? Do we dress alike? Do we have the same culture or norms?

All the hypocrite knows is that Lord Lugard brought us all together therefore we must all be "one Nigeria"

It is this backward resoning that has kept the North backward despite all the power they have held while the south moved away

krendo:
Soludo has endorsed Governor Obiano for Anambra second term. But if he is waiting in the wings to replace Obiano as Anambra Governor when Obiano must have completed his second term then I am sorry Soludo can do better and aim higher.

Why can't Soludo run for Senate in 2019 and use that platform to coalesce Ndigbo around a devolution agenda through APGA ?

APGA should focus purely on devolution, self reliance and how much progress we can make from effective self Governance

If APGA sell this agenda as their manifesto I can see them taking over the south east

Harness the emotions surrounding IPoB and tell IPOB members to make progress first through devolution while still in Nigeria rather than wait when Nigeria breaks of which nobody knows at this moment how long that will take or if it will ever happen
Sorry but all that is dead in the water. Devolution of powers is the same thing as true federalism/resource control/fiscal federation.

The North is against all of these things and they control over 60% of the votes at the national assembly.

To pass a law on these, you need at least 67% percent of votes.

So all that is dead in the water

I know this thread was opened to appeal to the senses of Biafra supporters (which I know it has) but let's look at this... war has no winner, both sides will be losers... I know Ojukwu saw the war as the only option (at that time) because of the progroms.. The military government was indifferent to what was going on..... but that war claimed lives... property worth millions were lost.... I am sure if Ojukwu had a rethink he would have considered other options other than war.... that's why I kind of feel sorry when people say : Biafra or War? Do they really know what war is? Do they think war is heroism? They haven't experienced war before.... just the pictures above makes me sick..... Nigeria has a big problem; a very big problem but violence is not the answer; it will never be..... We must sort out our problems..... Now, I know people will come for my head but I don't care It's the truth anyway...Now you'll see the two tribes insulting each other.. just wait they are coming... I am an Igbo man by the way
Dont talk like a fool. Did Ojukwu start any war? It was Nigeria and Gowon that started the war. It was far incumbent on Gowon as head of state to prevent war than Ojukwu.

Gowon should not have declared war without first giving dialogue a chance. How you go to kill those you claim are your brothers without giving peace a chance first?

Gowon broke the Aburi agreement
Gowon ordered 'Police action'
Gowon declared war

Gowon caused the civil war all for access to Oil money

Lol funny man. People like you dont even know that Kanu and IPOB have won already?

When Biafra comes, all good. Until that time, all we have to do is sit back and take a front row seat as the unworkabke colonial fraud keeps on dishing out terrorism with boko harram, economic stagnation, recession, corruption and suffering with the clueless Buhari and others like him.

We already kmow Nigeria has no long term future. Its almost like an old sick man die, nothing can be done about it. Those of us who have no allegiance to the colonial fraud called Nigeria (and thats the majority of all Nigerians) will just watch the inevitable demise.
PoliticsRe: Northern Leaders Kick Against Restructuring by kingzizzy:
I dont understand why a lot of people are making noise on this thread.

Its not like its a secret that the North will ever agree that Nigeria be restructured. They often said they are prepared to go to war than accept any form of restructuring. They said so in the 2014 conference.

So what is new?

Anybody who believes in "one Nigeria" should forget restructuring. Restructuring is simply not for you. The Northerners hold all the cards and all the aces. Their voting bloc of over 60% puts the National Assembly in their hip pocket and as we all know, restructuring can only be done at the National Assembly.

Anyone who wants restructuring, true federalism, resource control and fiscal independence had better start thinking about opting out of Nigeria.

There are no two ways about it. Asari Dokubo said "only free people control their resources"

This was the same choice the south faced in 1967 when the Northerners led by Gowon arbitrally broke the Aburi agreement, dissolved the 4 Regions and took away resource control.

The south of Nigeria then had 3 Regions, the West, Midwest and Eastern Regions.

Of these 3 Regions, the West and Midwest surrendered to the dictates of the North. Only Ojukwu and the Eastern Region refused to fall without a fight and fight they did.

What happend in 1967 is happening 50 years later in 2017. The North have said no to restructuring.

The question now is, do the SW/SE/SS accept it? Or will they fight for their independence like the Eastern Region once did?

That is the question.

But these ones, what are they planning to die for - I hope it's not to go to heaven's gate and complain before God and then begin to accuse him of joining Nigeria and Britain and America and France and the whole world to kill Biafrans? This is not funny at all.

They lack the ability to learn. Over three million of our people killed about 50 years ago by Nigeria and her allies have not been honored by Nigeria nor avenged by Biafrans. The world doesn't even care. And these fools always jump up to go and die believing that there is help for fools anywhere.
If we are the children of God we must be children of love and we must show it. The level of hatred and betrayal amongst pro Biafra activists is unsumountable because they start from the top. He is Developing himself, Thinking of making himself more richer and in the process Developing the economy and lifting his country image.

Look at innosson chukwuma he is not allowing himself to be clouded by Tribalism, instead he is focusing on how he will create a good future for himself and his family, He did not wait for a government support to start his business not he uses his brain and time for productive things.
Guy, wake from your slumber and face reality. Lord Lugard cannot come from Europe to give you your country. If you want a country, ask your neigbours via referendum if they want to join you in 'one Nigeria'. Anything outside this is "country by hostage".

Dont be fooled by Dangote and Innocent Chukwuma. These our businessmen, they will invest in Syria and Afghanistan if there is money to be made there
